Negative experience: was good! i enjoyed coming here until that one day i go to use the massage chair after working out and theres a homeless person sleeping. he had his shoes off too so needless to say it reeked! looks like anyone can just walk in and use the facilities.

Positive experience: Love this gym! I left fit4less 2 years ago and its been well worth it. Wish they had a wider selection of machines though, but the tanning is fantastic as well.

Fantastic experience: For being a budget gym is always clean and in machines are always well maintained, crowed at peak hours but is a 24h so you can visit anytime. I like it.

Negative experience: I had a swollen knee so I kept putting it up on the massage beds or on edge of the couch but they accused me of sleeping and through me out at 2:30am in minus 4 weather far from home. I have a black membership, I should be allowed to rest my knee if it's in serious pain from working out. There was 2 customers besides me, Oshawa South is horrible, staff doesn't care.

Fantastic experience: I’m from Ottawa, Eric or Arron (I’m sorry I forgot your name) helped guide me to where I needed to go and was so polite and honest at the desk! This doesn’t pertain to the gym experience itself, but I’ve never been so far away from home and felt more welcome.

Positive experience: My experience at Planet Fitness has been positive overall. However, I would like to address an issue with the express area of the gym. I’ve noticed that many people use the machines in this area because the equipment in the main part of the gym is occupied. So they are using it long term and not as part of a circuit or express workout. When I raised this concern with the staff, they mentioned they can’t continuously monitor the area and asked me to report any misuse while I’m working out. The problem is that I shouldn’t have to report misuse every time I visit the gym while I am working out. I hope there can be a solution for this.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible, they keep double charging my wife's account and not putting it towards my account so it always says I'm owing, and every month we got to call and make them fix it. But guess what happens the next month? You got it they do it again. Horrible customer service, horrible billing, and to boot the facility is tiny not set up right and dirty. Yall are useless......

Negative experience: This review is not for this specific location, rather for the corporation as a whole. I have cancelled my membership because planet fitness has a policy that allows men to use the women's changeroom and as a result predators have been taking advantage and victimizing women. I will not support an organization that has no regard for the safety of their staff or paying customers.

Negative experience: Switched gyms because of how overly crowded this location is. Plus a majority of machines have tore pads and have since last summer.

Positive experience: This gym is great if you're on a budget, and has tons of equipment to use. Always clean, and staff are very respectful and nice.

Positive experience: Lots of machines, workout equipment. Friendly, i'm brave enough to ask others working out, any questions. Did not see any trainers or get any help starting out. Have not exercise in 10-15, I am starting slow and easy. Very much enjoy aqua massage beds, after working out.

Negative experience: **************ALERT************** PLEASE READ BEFORE YOU SIGN UP Well I've had a membership at Planet Fitness before and it was a good experience. The staff was nice, the place was clean, an abundance amount of work out machines. My 13 year old daughter is inquiring for a gym to stay in good shape for herself and he recreational activities. Planet Fitness was a choice, but something truly alarmed me with their policies and the viral post across the world that they allow grown men who just say they identify as a women into our girls change rooms. This is disgusting on behalf of Planet Fitness to put our kids and women safety and person space at risk. I truly hope you go out of business for supporting these disgusting decisions.

Fantastic experience: Only been two days and I’m actually very happy with this gym. The membership price is good for what you get! They have amazing customer service specifically Nate, Aaron and Erik! All very sweet and helpful. They deserve recognition!

Negative experience: I’m so over this gym, I had originally intended to cancel after the fact that they accessed my account on a separate date outside of what’s in the contract . The manager Mike called me personally apologized and froze my account as a courtesy. However 2 days after that phone call their company made another transaction on my account . After going in person and this young lady provided no help whatsoever, not even to contact her manager. I decided to cancel my membership.

Negative experience: I was trying to put my membership on hold for couple months, one staff member said on the phone, a doctor certificate is required and if you want to cancel, you need to come in to cancel it. Today I called again a respective lady transferred me to another colleague of her named Mike, he said a new thing, according to their cancellation policy either to come in or to mail a written letter with signature. When they wanna get you in there are multiple ways that you can pay online and very gentle and easy. If you cancel or to put on hold, not easy at all. In general the majority of their staff are rude and their equipment are very limited.

Fantastic experience: Great Place and Nice Price

Fantastic experience: Very clean, new gym. The tanning boots and massage bed areas are extremely nice and stylish, better than a salon. Showers are clean and separate stalls, good for privacy. But for someone who is a regular to weight train, this gym does not have a single squat rack with barbell. The closest they have are the smith machines. I was sadly disappointed when I noticed this flaw, but for all other machines they work just fine. Good gym for the price.

Fantastic experience: I recently joined planet fitness membership is cheap you can’t beat the price. My all time experience here is great the staff is friendly the gym is clean they’re a lot equipment which you don’t need to wait.

Fantastic experience: Best Value by far, and so clean This specific location has a ton of cardio equipment, you are never unable to get one. Lots of space in the gym with different work out areas so you can easily focus on specific areas. The gym is always being cleaned by staff, whether they are scrubbing machines or vacuuming, and they are friendly while doing it - you don't feel like you're in their way. There are multiple tanning rooms and they have the BEST hydro beds!!! I have never enjoyed going to a gym as much as this one and with the Black Card I can bring my daughter along without paying another membership fee. The best perk for me, especially since she doesn't go regularly. Seriously consider this gym and this location!

Positive experience: Terrible first experience. I was unaware of their no bags on the floor policy. Walked in with my bag past the front desk, where I wasn't stopped by the customer service rep. Proceeded to the treadmill and placed my bag on the floor, and began to change my shoes and remove my sweaters. Still, no one came to speak to me. Ran for 20 minutes and planned on moving to the free weights. This is when I am approached by a staff member who politely, at first, informed me of the no bag policy. I tried to reason with the gentleman that I have no lock and do not want to interrupt my workout to go out into the cold to grab a lock. He suggested I leave it at the front table. I told him that won't happen as we are in downtown Oshawa and anyone can walk put with it. I tried again to meet in the middle and asked him to place it behind the counter this one time where it would be safe and make sure to bring a lock next time as this was my first time at the gym. He was adamant that he would not put it behind the counter and began to present an attitude. So, I fired back the attitude to which he said, "I'll just cancel your membership." Thankfully, the manager was a much nicer gentleman to speak with. Although I still don't feel like I was worked with or valued as a member who pays their fees, I will return to the gym. It has a decent setup. However, it does feel very crowded. That is my rant. 3 stars for the lousy employee.

Negative experience: The staff was pretty rude regarding not bringing bags inside the gym, like are we supposed to carry our smartphone belts towel and other stuff in our hands all the time ? Does not make any sense The crucial thing here is that he knew that we are in between the sets of our leg workout and he still came again to forcefully tell us to keep our bags out. He could have waited for us to finish the set. He could have been more respectful

Negative experience: Gym is spacious, nice and clean. But the guy at front desk during weekdays evening time. Doesn’t engage in his work. Whenever go to ask him something, never respond properly. Never show interest to help.

Negative experience: The gym itself is decent during less busy hours, however I currently have a medical issue which prevents me from being able to workout and use my gym membership. I went to the gym and explained this situation to the staff and requested to freeze my membership until I am able to workout and use the gym again. The staff refused to freeze my membership and responded that they need a doctors note in order to freeze my membership. I felt uncomfortable and disrespected about this and requested to cancel my membership after that response. The staff then canceled my membership. A few days later I got the doctors note that the staff requested me to get and returned to the gym with the note requesting the staff to cancel the cancellation and freeze my membership as I originally requested. The staff told me they cannot do that. Now I will have to pay for the $50 sign up fee and $50 annual fee again (which I have already paid with my membership) because of the unfair and poor customer service Planet Fitness provided me while dealing with my medical issue that prevents me from using my gym membership.

Fantastic experience: Since recently joining this Planet Fitness after a brief tour from a staff member, Erik that influenced my decision by being very friendly and detailed, I am glad I actually left fitness4less, for Planet Fitness! With my Black Card membership, the benefits are much better and greater, not so at Fitness4less. The equipment is much better and very clean at Planet Fitness and does not smell from various odor attached to it from not being thoroughly cleaned properly, as was the case at Fitness4less. The couple of times I've came to workout at Planet Fitness, each time I have observed the overnight staff making their rounds from one end to the next, cleaning each machine, Impressive! Although I only workout during the late hours, I very much appreciate the character of the very polite, kind and helpful overnight staff members who make you feel welcomed and also, like you are an important part of the Planet Fitness Family and appreciated very much! People like to continuously go to the places that treat them with kindness and respect by the establishment, and thus far, it has been my experience at Planet Fitness, Oshawa location!

Negative experience: Ever since I made a membership, the tall guy with the light beard with tattoos and glasses as well as the chunky blonde girl have been disrespectful and Ignorant every time they’re together. I would give 0 stars if I could because these specific workers act prideful and talk with ego as if they’re better than anyone in this gym. I get the feeling that the guy is trying to show off in front of the girl to feel tough and cool. This is not how workers should act, they should be more mature and kind towards members.

Fantastic experience: This Place is bit more advanced than any other planet fitness around the Cities. This place has more advanced equipment and everything is new. The staff is very nice and well maintained. The place is very spacious and less crowded than any other planet fitness. The safety on the equipment has been modified to a whole new level. If you are in the vicinity of south Oshawa I highly recommend this gym. They have class schedule as well if you want to be trained by fitness expert.

Fantastic experience: Staff is very nice, the people are too! I wish some of the machines had more weight. Often throughout the week, it gets really busy, so waiting for the machines sometimes sucks, but for the size of the gym, it's fine.

Negative experience: I just watched a girl that works here with brown hair with her hair up! with a cleaning cart at 943pm sitting in my car only clean the taning beds with brown paper towels with no cleaer on it. She has tons of bottles but didnt touch one of them! If you use them when you're here I suggest you bring your own disinfecting wipes. This will cause Fungus on your skin! I know this forsure because I had it from using tanning beds that wasn’t cleaned properly.

Fantastic experience: Staff here is very friendly. Loving the boot camp classes with Steph. It’s like having a personal training without the additional cost. I love the 30 minutes Express circuit (Total body work out), PF Burn. Lots of others classes to choose from like TRX, Core, PF Strength and if you are new to the gym or working out then the Design your body is perfect as it’s a 1:1 session which helps you customize and tailor a work out plan according to your exercise level with frequent check in. The place is clean (someone is always cleaning). Customers are courteous(wipe down their machines after use/they also re-rack their weights. Ample parking. Love my experience here.

Positive experience: It's an ok gym, they have a good variety of machines but often I find quite a few broken or in disrepair. The staff are hit and miss. Amanda with the purple hair in the evening is super personable and helpful while Katelyn with the tattoos in the afternoons is extremely rude and would rather sit on the computer than help you. My suggestion is if you want a late night gym this is the one for you because that's when the staff are the best and there aren't alot of people so your can work around the equipment that is broken

Negative experience: Stay far away from planet fitness Steph the trainer will kick you off any machine at any given time. Crunch fitness is 13 dollars a month

Negative experience: I love Planet Fitness and would consider switching to this gym, but decided against it due to the lack of shades on the windows which increases the heat within the facility. I want to "sweat" when working out, but without shades and the refusal to either turn up or turn on the air conditioning at this facility I decided to stay where I am. Club is clean though and has a lot of cardio machines. During my walk through I realized that this gyms temperature was not conducive to a great workout due to the ambient temperature of the facility

Fantastic experience: Local gym, plenty of equipment, friendly staff. Cannot ask for a better place to workout. Added bonus is the monthly fee, lowest around. :)

Fantastic experience: Thankfully after moving and my FIT4LESS expiring Planet Fitness opened less than a year ago. Massive gym with every cardio machine made along with free wieghts, tan booth(s) hydra massage;red-light therapy and much more for everyone from beginner to pro there's something for everybody.Open 24/7 with staff present and ready to help

Positive experience: Its a good gym but there's a catch of 73 dollars a month for blackcard membership and I had to cancel. Il look elsewhere

Positive experience: Great little gym that offers a no judgment type of atmosphere and a great monthly price. They offer tanning, red-light Therapy/Shaker Plate and hydro massage machines. I would have given them another 2 stars if their Perks/Offers, They advertised on their web page, and Main Phone App were Accessible to us Canadians. A lot of the Perks/Discounts listed are more geared to American Companies I've noticed, which is a real disappointment. With all this said the gym is smaller than its Pickering Location I find but it has enough of the stuff you need to get a decent workout.
