Fantastic experience: Very nice exercise area ...friendly and well-mannered staff and a respectful environment ...I love this place۔۔۔

Negative experience: Great staff, machines are usually in good working order or get fixed within a few weeks if something doesn't work. Even then, there are plenty of other options available. What I strongly dislike is management's refusal to keep the club clean. I have contacted them multiple times and suggested that they should implement a "no outside shoes past the show racks" policy, but apparently, they don't care. I was told to just let staff know if something doesn't look right. Well, here's the thing: during winter, it never looks right because people are pigs and transfer snow, ice, salt, gravel and whatnot all the way through the club right into the lockers. Look at the pictures, and you'll see what I mean. I'll update my rating if they ever come to their senses and require people to leave their street shoes at the entrance. Update Dec 23, 2024: I just talked to management about the issues, and apparently, she's not allowed to implement a no outdoor shoes policy. Meanwhile, the place looks dirtier than ever. That in itself is a 1-star rating right there. Plus, some of the machines have been "under maintenance" (meaning out of service with no visible effort made to fix them) for several weeks. Why in the world am I paying an annual maintenance fee if nothing gets fixed? In some cases, it would be as easy as getting a new snap hook from Canadian Tire, but really, they don't do anything about it. I am considering other gyms now, but I have yet to see if they are at least trying to do a better job.

Negative experience: Well, I was going to sign up, but the same issue here again: Check out this section from the agreement they want you to sign: "I understand and expressly agree that my use of this Planet Fitness facility involves the risk of injury to me or my guest whether caused by me or not. I understand that these risks are inherent in physical activity and my use of the facilities can range from minor injuries to major injuries, including death. In consideration of my participation in the activities and use of the facilities, exercise equipment and services offered by Planet Fitness and such use by my guests, if applicable, I understand and voluntarily accept full responsibility on my behalf and on my guest’s behalf for the risk of injury or loss arising out of or related to my use or my guest’s use of the facilities including, without limitation, exercise equipment, tanning, massage beds/chairs and participation in PE@ PF® or other exercise programs or use of other services, equipment and/or programs offered to members. I further agree that Planet Fitness and its parents, subsidiaries, affiliates and the officers, directors, shareholders, employees, managers, members, agents and independent contractors of such entities will not be liable for any injury including, without limitation, personal, bodily, or mental injury, disability, death, economic loss or any damage to me, my spouse or domestic partner, guests, unborn children, heirs or relatives resulting from the negligent conduct or omission of Planet Fitness or anyone acting on its behalf, whether related to exercise or not. Accordingly, to the fullest extent permitted by law, I do hereby forever release, waive and discharge Planet Fitness and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates from any and all claims, demands, injuries, damages, actions or causes of action related to my use or my guest’s use of the facility (collectively, “Claims”) against Planet Fitness or anyone acting on its behalf, and hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Planet Fitness and its parents, subsidiaries and affiliates from and against any such Claims, including Claims made by my guests." --------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Here's a summary of the liability clause: Assumption of Risk: You acknowledge that using the gym involves inherent risks, including injury or death, and accept full responsibility for these risks for both yourself and your guests. Waiver of Liability: Planet Fitness is not liable for any injuries or damages you suffer, even if they result from the negligence of Planet Fitness or its staff. Release of Claims: You waive the right to sue Planet Fitness for any injuries, losses, or damages connected to your use of their facilities or services. Indemnification: You agree to defend and hold Planet Fitness harmless if any claims arise from your use of their facilities, including claims from your guests. In essence: You are accepting all risks and agreeing not to hold Planet Fitness responsible, even if they are at fault due to negligence. WOW!

Negative experience: Been at this gym since it opened . Loved that it was 24 hrs but with the recent change I’m very disappointed and considering other gyms . If you don’t want to staff the place then allow us 24 access card to the gym part and closed down the back to the tanning , massage etc. Open till 7 pm on the weekend is a joke at least 11pm or something . Lots of shift workers 7-7 or people like me that want to go after supper and can’t now on the weekends .

Fantastic experience: Love the place and the people. My husband has Alzheimer’s and the staff is always available to help him with workouts.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been to Plant fitness for about a year and it is so amazing especially Louis. He is a great help with guiding me around the facility. I just wanna say he is the nicest and kindest person I’ve met.

Positive experience: I love this gym the equipment is decent, and the other users are nice, I only gave it 3 stars because OFTEN the cleaning towels and spray are not stocked, which leads to people not cleaning the machines, and 50% of the staff could care less, sad really

Negative experience: Gym hours doesn’t make any sense, it used to be 24x7. Going to end my membership.

Negative experience: I joined the gym because it was open 24/7...now changed weekend hours that doesnt work with my schedule. I don't understand why they can have 4 people sitting around just chatting at reception during the day but not have 1 person at night? I guess I'll try the other 24 hour gym in town.

Negative experience: I am leaving a 1 star review. Overall the place is awesome but now they are changing the hours of operation from what used to be 24 hours but now closing at 7pm on weekends? That's a joke. Just canceled a few days ago but of course they cut me off immediately despite just being charged for the month and the email saying I still had a few weeks of use. If they don't want to staff it 24/7 fine, but still allow 24/7 access like every other gym in Cornwall to people that already paid. Also have heard from past and current employees that staff hours are constantly being cut and changed which would explain why I see that staff members frequently change.

Negative experience: I am going to put 1 star because they are changing their 24 hours establishment into limited hours. We need 24 hours that's why we are here otherwise otherwise gyms are also available in city. Most likely, I will cancel my membership as soon as this time come in effect

Negative experience: I visit this gym once in a while when I’m in town. I usually pay 5$ per day. Today i came in and the day is 22,60$ when the monthly membership of a black card is 33$… this is absolutely insane and non sense. I definitely did not see that price until paid, which was my mistake. When asking for a refund I was told that I needed to deal with the manager but she was not on shift until 7 and to come then. I’m in Cornwall just for the day so I could not. The worker Kayla was super rude and said you choose to work out or come at 7pm since we cannot help you.. told me to call the planet fitness number when the manager is clearly not there Terrible service and overly priced. Never coming back

Negative experience: I like the no judgement zone comments all over the walls and then you can hear the staff making fun of how someone is doing an exercise instead of maybe showing them the proper way. I also don't know why they have to vacuum 3 ft from people's heads while they are stretching and such.

Negative experience: Well since they're allowing men into female bathrooms with little girls around, I guess I'm not going to be going here anymore

Negative experience: When we were at the facility, the tanning beds are so dirty you can see the build up of dirty. The staff is not friendly and welcoming. I’d be embarrassed by this gym having any representation of your company. Planet fitness corporate really needs to take a look at this gym. You need to retrain the staff. And make sure they are following the company’s values. I’m ashamed by the lack of cleanliness, customer service and my over all experience wasn’t great. Go to summit or any other gym in town. I wouldn’t go back if this was my home gym, thankfully planet fitness facilities elsewhere are amazing

Negative experience: Easy to sign up, not so much to cancel. Charge me yearly fee twice, I stopped paying after telling them to cancel within first 15 days. Don't take anything from my account for 4 months then randomly take $33 on the 30th.

Negative experience: Despite me being the payee for my daughter's membership, the clerk stated I cannot have a receipt sent to my email. All the while, the clerk smacking away eating peanuts as she attended to me.

Negative experience: I was trying to enjoy my exercise, but then I took a step to go to the next set of weight and the lunk alarm went off. I was then removed from this horrid establishment for no reason. Git gud lol

Negative experience: Be aware that you can sign up using the app but if you try to cancel your membership they will force you to come in person or use letter just to make it uselessly complicated. Quite disapointed since i travel for work and used those to train on the road but now i have to either travel 3h to reach my club or send a letter and be charge with an additional month due to the delay of letter.

Fantastic experience: Clean and friendly....at an ungodly 330am. Still finding my way around but optimistic I can find help when needed. Awesome job to the bearded guy whose name I missed. Ta muchly

Fantastic experience: This was a really good facility and had good equipment and layout inside the gym. I'm traveling across Canada so this was the first one I came to coming from New Brunswick through Quebec because there isn't any there in Quebec. I will say it's a little bit out of the way but definitely would recommend. My workout was great and the bathrooms were clean.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly staff and plenty of exercise machines. Plus, being open 24 hours is a major plus. Rates are reasonable and pretty good amenities like massage chairs make Planet Fitness a great club to join.

Negative experience: I'm fairly new in town and was looking forward to going back to the gym but my experience with this gym wasnt the greatest. The staff member I spoke with was very friendly, I have no complaints there but the membership is extremely difficult to cancel. It ruined my credit with all the "missed payments" after I tried canceling my subscription and ran up an expensive bill with the gym. I never got a chance to even USE the gym and in order to cancel, I have to pay several months worth of services I never used. I would highly recommend using a different gym altogether.

Positive experience: FOR THE CLUB EMPLOYEES: good stuff man, you guys are great, super clean, 5 for the club, but a BIG FAT ZERO for Planet Fitness. The cancellation process is archaic!! You have to show up at the club OR mail in a letter?! What is this, 2001? As a woman traveling across Canada/US, I am now in a province where THERE ARE NO Planet Fitnesses. It almost seems intentional so you can keep charging members who have stopped attending your gym. Complaint filed with consumer protection Ontario.

Negative experience: I cancelled my member almost a year ago and I’m still being billed. I tried talking to the gym and they have done nothing to fix the problem. Corporate doesn’t even reply to messages! Do not support these thieves

Fantastic experience: When I went there the other day, it was my first time ever going to a gym. The staff were really helpful and showed me where everything is. The machines are all easy to use with detailed instructions on them. Lot of variety in machines to use and very accepting environment

Negative experience: What a joke, had my vaccine papers in hand and still got refused entry, they didnt work with me or anything. I obviously have my vaccines if I have both papers to prove it but since your system isn't scanning its my fault? Some terrible workers at this site and clearly not the smartest, didnt explain anything to me just refused my entry. Great customer service.

Positive experience: Extremely clean gym. COVID-19 precautions have really reduced the amount of available equipment. Last time I went in only 25% of the treadmills were still open for use. The customer service could use some most. Often employees will gather up behind the counter and talk to each other which makes you feel like you are interrupting them to ask for assistance.

Positive experience: No barbells, no squat racks. Only machines and cardio and Smith machines and dumbells. It's okay for a modified workout, but dont come here if you want to deadlift, squat or bench. The equipment that they have is new and clean.

Positive experience: Good staff and usually very clean. Big sign in dumbbell area describing what a "LUNK" is and asking people not to be a "LUNK". Unfortunately with the gym getting busier, lots of LUNKS now joining up. Wish staff would start getting after the people that continuously leave the equipment covered in their sweat and continuously drop their weights! Not wiping up your sweat is disgusting and dropping your weights is dangerous for other members and just plain ignorant.
