Top Glove Boxing

Top Glove Boxing Academy is a premier boxing institution located at 147 Lorne Street in Sudbury, proudly serving the Northern Ontario community since 1990. Founded by Head Coach Gordon Apolloni, a highly decorated AIBA 3-Star coach, the academy has established itself as a cornerstone of athletic excellence, having developed talent for the World Championships and Olympics. Beyond elite competition, Top Glove is dedicated to fostering a positive, inclusive environment where athletes of all ages and fitness levels can thrive.

Our coaching staff, consisting of NCCP-certified professionals and dedicated volunteers, offers personalized training programs tailored to individual goals. Whether you are looking to learn the basics, get in shape, or prepare for international competition, we have a program for you. We offer specialized classes for Beginners, Adults, and Competitive Boxers of all ages and genders. Our competitive program prepares athletes for local, provincial, national, and international stages, featuring advanced drills and combative training.

Top Glove is also deeply committed to social impact and community health. We proudly host the Rock Steady Boxing Program, a non-contact curriculum designed to improve quality of life for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease. Additionally, we collaborate with the N’Swakamok Native Friendship Centre to provide family-oriented boxing classes that promote discipline, confidence, and teamwork. Fantastic experience: I was trilled to learn more about sport psychology, aerobic and anaerobic training. Gord also helped me lose the last 5 lbs before the Sudbury Classic fitness competition in 2014. Today I enjoy the women's only classes.
