Fantastic experience: As a member, this gym is perfect. Equipment is all in great condition and there are tons of powerlifting equipment available, so you never need to wait. Tons of very functional machines available as well, this gym has anything you’d need. I was a private trainer there for a few months. Kristian is extremely professional, which made everything really easy as a trainer. Great experience, would recommend for anyone, either established trainers or those trying to get into the industry.

Fantastic experience: Trainer Experience - I used this facility for several months and had a great experience, as did all of my clients. Great training spaces, lots of space for athletic training and great strength training equipment. Owner always goes above and beyond to be positive and create a great environment. Would highly recommend to everyday users, and trainers looking for a space to train out of.

Fantastic experience: Sept 5th edit: after my free workout giving this place 5 stars. Clean, good staff, well maintained, No one breathing down your neck for equipment, 100% recommend coming here. **I'm adding an edit, the owner contacted me the same night, had a phone call with and asked for a redo. He assured me this was not the norm and that this isn't how they operate. I'm impressed already and plan to go back for the trial workout * I'm leaving a low score because of my experience on Wednesday sept 4. Online says open hours are until 9, sign on the front says until 9. I came in at 7:45 hoping to try a workout, waited a few minutes and the guy at the front desk tells me I have to be out by 8:30. I said your sign says 9 so does online and he sighed and said "yea but I have cleaning to do." Facility looks great, did a walk through on Saturday and liked it but this kinda soured it for me. Seems like customer service needs improving.

Negative experience: Decent gym locally with a lot to offer. This being said the customer service is beyond terrible. I had our gym memberships cancelled with no notice via an email. All due to the fact that we made a complaint a week prior. The complaint was in regards to the fact that the floors were soaking wet with no sign, saying to avoid the area. We also had been seeing children, running through the gym unsupervised which is extremely unprofessional and unsafe. I was then accused of berating his front desk staff when making this complaint and told that we are not welcome in his gym for providing feedback. We were also told we ruin the “vibe” he has worked so hard to create. Shocking way to handle this as someone who has managed gyms for many years. I have never seen a member be treated so poorly for providing feedback. Shocking customer service for the money paid to be a member at this gym. The owner is very disrespectful and this was a shocking situation.

Fantastic experience: There is no other gym like this in KW. The combination of being 24/7 key fob access, having a good selection of high end machines, numerous squat racks and platforms, and never overcrowded, make it hard to beat. I’ve found the membership to be nice and low key people who are there to train. At a reasonable price I highly recommend this gym!

Fantastic experience: A hidden gem of a gym! Not like a commercial gym at all. It’s huge with something for everyone, and because of its size you’re never stuck waiting for racks or equipment. As a female who goes early morning I was a bit wary of it being unstaffed but it feels extremely safe and I haven’t had one moment of unease which is super important to me. It’s very clean, well lit and strangely always seems to have a good playlist on. So happy to have found Gym41!

Fantastic experience: Easily the best gym and community in all of kw, been going for about a year now out of my two years of lifting and my progress has skyrocketed. All the staff are friendly and the members are super down to earth. It’s pretty much everything you could want from a gym no matter what your goals are, there’s for sure a spot for you.

Positive experience: Pretty good gym, lots of parking, its open 24 hours with a fob which is nice. Very clean and usually quiet. Wish they had a few more machines (smith machine, more cables) and a tv or two. I had mentioned a repair with a machine a few months ago with no response yet, and the building (not the gym itself) is shared with the baseball team so that can be annoying sometimes. Premium price but the 24hrs and less people is super nice. Tons of benches and a really friendly atmosphere. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Best gym I’ve ever been a member of. Great variety of equipment, and plenty of squat racks and free weights. I can always get through my workout without having to wait for equipment. Everything is very clean and well maintained. Just a nice overall environment to workout anytime without having to deal with crowds of people.

Fantastic experience: Matt Kumar is a fantastic trainer, who actively adapts programs to the client’s specific needs - more so than any other professional trainer I’ve dealt with. Well equipped gym with good atmosphere. Clients are there to work. No gym bros and light on “influencers” posing, filming and hogging equipment.

My decision to join Gym41 stemmed from a desire to build confidence, revitalize my energy, and embark on a health journey marked by tangible, incremental progress. The atmosphere at Gym41 fosters a sense of inclusivity and motivation, offering ample room to consistently push the boundaries of my workouts.

Negative experience: I went to this gym to check out their August promotion which states that this is free “no strings attached” for new members this month. When I arrived, I was instructed that if I wish to continue they require me to sign their contract, go home bring back a void cheque with my bank information. I will note that they are also only open to this process on very select dates and times during the week which don’t align with my work schedule. I was advised that they require first month + deposit on an additional 2 months + $28 fee for the FOB for a total of $231 all up front. The contract also has some additional questionable items, making it feel like this will just be a hassle. Seems like lots of strings attached here. It’s easier to just stay at my own gym at this point.

Fantastic experience: Gym41 is the place to be for an amazing atmosphere . The Power Academy in the facility brings with life within the gym- the community members are all friendly and the trainers/owners are the kindest individuals around . Kristian and Matt are always curious as to how things are going and wanting to improve the facility . Would recommend this gym to anyone looking for a workout home or just to stop by .

Positive experience: I joined this gym for the weightlifting classes. Those classes are amazing and are world class. 6/5 stars for those classes and instructors. This review is based on the gym itself. It is a great facility. All the equipment you could possibly ask for as a weightlifter or powerlifter. Limited equipment and space or the machines. Almost no multiples of the machines so if there is a few others in the gym you will be waiting to use them. My biggest issue with the gym was the contract. 12 months, cancelation fee if within 31 days of next payment. Most gyms nowadays are no cancelation fee and no long term contract.

Fantastic experience: Very welcoming. Came here for weightlifting as a beginner and Dave was extremely knowledgeable and helped me do more in one session that I never thought I was able to. 100% trust!

Fantastic experience: ***Update: This place does not provide cricket space anymore. *** Great space for indoor cricket if you are looking for a space with dedicated lenses (a maximum of 3 nets) for practicing bowling and batting. This is a really nice location. I'm not sure how much is the charge for reserving the nets I attended a team selection practise event for one of the kitchenercricket teams.

Fantastic experience: Gym 41 is hands down one of, if not the best training facility that I have been a part of in the Kitchener-Waterloo area. Kristian is an exceptional owner/operator and is always willing to lend a hand to anyone with questions, concerns or suggestions. The space itself is fantastic. I have never had to wait to use equipment and the quality is amazing. In addition, I was fortunate enough to be a part of the Power Academy weightlifting program for a short while before I moved out of the area. Coach Dave Earle is phenomenal and I would recommend anyone to try out their programming. I cannot say enough good things about Gym41. Anyone looking for a gym absolutely needs to check it out. Thank you Kristian for providing an incredible place to train. Cannot wait to see what you do in the future.

Fantastic experience: The atmosphere at this gym is amazing. Kristian has always gone above and beyond as an owner ever since I was a member when they first opened years ago in the smaller space. My teen son is now a part of the Olympic weightlifting program offered with Dave and enjoys it very much. If you want a challenge this is a great option for sure. You will find a mix of beginner to competitive members that all seem to jive very well.

Fantastic experience: My kiddo and I have been coming to Gym41 for a few months now and love it! An inclusive atmosphere for all ages, races, and genders alike, we have felt comfortable from the very first day. Kristian even went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable which was great. My 13yo kiddo has joined the Olympic Weightlifting program and they love how it makes them feel bada$$. What more could a parent want than for their child to be confident. As for me, it's got me into lifting again for the first time in 25 years and I'm really enjoying it. Look no further than Gym41 if you're taking the time to read these reviews. You won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I have ever been to, and beats commercial gyms BY FAR. Kristian is a knowledgeable, experienced and personable trainer. He manages his gym in an inclusive manner and keeps open communication with his members. I love the atmosphere here because of how friendly and motivating the other members are and Kristian too! I chose Gym41 for the quality equipment to train for powerlifting but Gym41 is the perfect gym for everyone to train at! 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I work out with Trainer and owner Kristian. Work outs are no nonsense and he keeps me accountable. No fluffy workouts here! Gym is nice, clean and friendly with equipment to suit all levels. There is a definite industrial feel to the place, it’s not your typical gym, highly recommend to anyone looking for a different experience from the busy cookie cutter big box gyms.
