Got to Norwood and passed that car on a double line. I pulled into the gas station the same time he did, so he was no further ahead. I have the plate number if you want it. He could have caused accidents and wrecked your car. Thought you should know how drivers treat your vehicles. 10:30 to 11 AM west toward Peterborough on #7... Oct. 18th

Expérience négative: Gym staff are great and keep on top of cleaning, the weekday morning shift worker Jake always checking spray bottles, paper towel, towels and kleenex, however, equipment is down for way to long.

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym! I have been a member for almost a year now and have had only good experiences. I also signed up for personal training as I needed the help & the accountability! The last month I have been working with Ashley, and I have nothing but amazing things to say! She is so great, and makes sure that my workouts will not only get me to my goals, but also that I am enjoying them too. She cheers me on, which is amazing motivation in the gym, and is already helping me celebrate the small accomplishments. Thank you Ashley!

Expérience fantastique: Hahaha I don't want to rate it 5 stars because then maybe it will start filling up but this is a great gym. Other than maybe 3 machines it has everything you could need, people are friendly, space is quite clean and the gymgoers are mostly solid folk. Its got a sauna, showers, 4 racks and 1 squat rack (2 would be perfect) but there are plenty of choices and options and its rarely busy during off peak hours

Expérience négative: This gym is the perfect example of why it's important for a gym to be managed by someone who works out, or at least has an understanding of it. GM is always nit picking when people are just trying to train. Coming up to people mid set telling them they have to deadlift on a platform, even when there isn't one available. Constantly nagging people about their footwear, even when they are wearing shoes that are litteraly for power lifting. Telling people what plates can go on what bars. All this while the gym never has enough cable attachments, have to search the whole gym just to find a set of D handles. Half the cardio equipment out of order, paying for tanning and a 24 hour gym when they offer neither. If you want a gym that you can tell cares about your training do not come to this goodlife. I live 30 seconds from this gym and more often then not I'm driving 15 minutes to go to the chemong goodlife because they actually care about people having a good workout.

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member for 20 years but the state of this location lately is dismissal. The place is a sauna. No AC on most of the time. No fans.,No blinds or shade on the large windows which shine directly on cardio equipment. Stairmills are always broken or breaking while you’re on them. At this moment, only 2 of the 5 are not taped off and hard to get. The one is about to go on the fritz, you can feel the buzzing. So disappointed.

Expérience positive: I love GoodLife and this location is great. The only thing I have to say is they for some reason do not offer tanning at this location. The beds work but they just don’t offer it. Otherwise would rate this 5 stars if they started offering tanning again.

Expérience fantastique: This is a spacious, well-appointed, and welcoming gym. I was in Peterborough for work and visited the gym on several occasions. I only wish we had as nice a gym in Toronto. But Peterborough's Goodlife has our gyms beat by a mile. Kudos to the welcoming staff, as well, who happily answered my questions. I can't wait to have a reason to head back to Peterborough and this gem of a Goodlife gym!

Expérience fantastique: It can be so difficult to make it to the gym, especially in the early morning before work but Jake at the front desk is amazing! The other day I stumbled in and he was so welcoming and encouraging, he even encouraged me on my way out and made me look forward to coming back. They may think their job isn't that important but small gestures like that really make a difference in servicing the guests. Thanks Jake!!

Expérience fantastique: On January 4th, 2023 my Husband Doug was diagnosed with bladder cancer. The most aggressive of this type. At this time he was also very overweight at 258 lbs. Removal of his bladder was absolutely necessary, and weight loss essential for the placement of a prosthesis. Within a two day search of what was available for weight loss our decision to join GoodLife Fitness was made, and this is where our journey began. On January 6th, 2023 we met with a delegate of GoodLife, the General Manager Chris, and with the Trainer we chose Bill Juby. A strategy was planned. Now at this time we would like to point out the emotional roller coaster we were on. We could hardly think straight. Chris, and Bill Juby made us feel so very comfortable, at ease. There was no pressure. Only heartwarming, honest care for our situation. It was unbelievable. Doug's weight was 258 lbs to start January 6th, 2023, and his operation was scheduled for May 25th, 2023. With Bill guiding Doug his weight was brought down to 207 lbs. prior to his surgery. With Bill's dedication to his Clients he became a Friend, more like Family, but professional. His compassion is like none we have ever experienced. We know this is a business but the extent Bill, and GoodLife were behind us was, and is overwhelming. Bill continually challenged Doug on his path to weight loss with exercise, diet, genuine care, encouragement, and overall guidance. Bill has been an integral part of Doug's journey to a successful surgery, and continued health. We cannot thank him enough for being part of our life now, and in the future. Without Bill's guidance, and all the people at GoodLife, Perevet, Leisa, Jake, the Members themselves, supporting us we would not have made it to this successful ending. Expérience fantastique: When I showed up at GoodLife Fitness interested in personal training, I was introduced to Bill Juby Jr. I was so fortunate to be matched with this gentleman. He showed genuine interest in my fitness goals and provided a strong base of exercises to cycle through to attain my goals. I was sold on the full personal training experience, however I backed out as the cost was too significant at the time. I kept my membership and worked through the exercises that were provided to me. I noticed that I was out working the routine that was originally made up for me. I approached Bill and he was totally willing to make up a new routine for me to pursue my newest fitness goals. I obviously felt bad that I backed out of the full personal training package, as he is in a sales role, but he never made me feel bad and I have never felt more welcome at a fitness club in my life. Since I have experience in the gym and have a history of extensive physical activity, I was not afraid to train on my own, but Bill gave me more confidence in myself and his encouragement and enthusiasm is contagious. I realized I needed a bit of help getting back into the fitness world and Bill Juby Jr. was the perfect person to help me attain my goals. Thanks Bill!

Expérience fantastique: Jake at the front desk was very helpful with getting me set up with a day pass. Nice and clean club, lots of equipment options. Got a good lift in.

Expérience négative: I have been a member for many years. I have been dissatisfied with the lack of scheduled classes and the change of class times. There seems to be less classes all the time. Classes now start at 5. Classes are geared to people who don't work during the day. When you do a virtual class the machine shuts down 45 minutes before a scheduled class begins. No one needs 45 minutes to set up for the next class. The blame goes to the people at the head office making the decisions but each club should be able to have some stake in decision making. There used to be visual cleaners walking around cleaning and now the club seems unkept.

Expérience négative: I had a very negative time with GoodLife Fitness. I was pressured into buying a personal trainer session when I signed up for my gym membership. They made me feel belittled if I didn't purchase the package even though I kept indicating I don't have the money to pay for it - they offered payment plans but again I told them I still can't afford it. I eventually ended up getting the very cheapest option that was only 1 session with no obligation and I still felt bad because I didn't want it but they forced me into it as if they wouldn't let me join without it. I never went again after that first session because I had so low self-esteem after that I ended up calling and cancelling my entire membership. They are there not to help you get fit but to milk you for all your money.

Expérience négative: I normally love goodlife but this is not a very good location. I normally go in Toronto area which has much much better facilities. At this location, the treadmills are not good. One of them was skipping, the other was bouncing when I ran, then one actually started to shock me. I could feel the electrical current through my body and my hair standing up. I was very concerned about the dangers associated with that as it was clear to me the machine was not functioning; I alerted staff who briefly looked at it and did not rope it off. The mats and equipment were also dirty. Pictures attached. Would not recommend joining.

Expérience positive: I recently started going to GoodLife and cancelled my Fit4less membership. Overall I’m happy with this gym. The layout is great and it’s a beautiful setup. Very clean. However, it is NOT a 24 hour gym despite the sign saying it is. That was the main appeal for me with this gym and I came to workout on a Saturday night just to realize the sign is false advertising. The north end location is 24 hours but now I have to go to 2 separate gyms each week. The sign either needs to be removed or there needs to be better hours. It’s extremely misleading for members. Also, there’s just hand soap and conditioner in the showers which is really strange. Shampoo and body wash would be amazing!

Expérience positive: I went to GoodLife over the winter break while I was in town with family, so after my couple of weeks here this is what I've seen: The layout takes some getting used to, but I love the fact they have so many cable machines. I appreciate how they tried to group together machines based on muscle groups, but for some reason I personally didn't like the layout, but not a huge deal. The gym was mostly clean, if I wasn't a custodian at a gym, I doubt I would even notice but machines were dusty and grimey, and the squat racks and mirrors had sweat on them, GoodLife could benefit from better cleaning. The employees are super helpful, I have no issues with them, they're great. Changeroom was beautiful but the showers didn't have body wash, just hand soap??? Overall great gym, just needs some maintenance and regular cleaning

Expérience positive: Good facility. It would make it even better if sanitation tools are more practical and user friendly. The facility distributes vinegar bottle sprays to be used on paper towels that is eventually too dry to wipe down properly and the process is not practical to go back and forth to dampen another paper towel to do a decent job and is time and effort consuming to do so before and after using the machines - as it should be- as a result, lots of machines are not wiped down properly. Also, many people keep same paper towel with them and use it in an act of what looks like wiping the machine but in reality they are really spreading germs from a machine to the others. Also, these vinegar bottle sprays don’t smell nice and their scent stick to one’s clothes which later on turns into a foul smell. There are many sanitizer wipes in the market better suited for cleaning.

Expérience négative: front desk employees were absolutely useless. wouldn’t let my sister workout there with the free day passes my cousin had because she wasn’t 18 and didn’t have her parent there even when I told them I was her guardian and my aunt was also in the gym working out. they said my mother would have to come stand with her while she works out and then my mother would have to purchase a day pass for $30. this was detailed nowhere on the 2 free guest passes my cousin had.

The chemong gym has more/better equipment and a bigger facility but still asking you to pay the same price at this garbage gym. Then you have to pay an extra $10 for towels a month that don't even dry you but make you more wet then when you were in the shower.

Expérience fantastique: Great gym and fabulous staff! Personal trainer Tijahna is so upbeat and easy to work out with. She has kept me on track and I have seen great progress in the 6 months I have trained with her. I have been to other gyms before and was always extremely intimidated to try lifting weights. With the help of Tijahna, she has given me so much confidence. Everyone is so nice and helpful, including members and staff. I couldn't imagine going anywhere else. Thanks Goodlife on Monoghan!!!

Expérience fantastique: I cannot say enough positive things about this gym and the staff. Good Life has changed my life. I was experiencing significant pain, range of motion and mobility issues due to extensive arthritis. I was facing knee replacement surgery. I knew I needed to do something to help myself but I also knew that if I didn't go about it properly that I could cause more problems for myself. It just made sense to get a professional involved. So I got myself a personal trainer. I explained my challenges and goals. His name is Eric. He's been absolutely amazing . He has worked with me and helped me so much. Before working with Eric just lifting a coffee mug was painful. Every joint hurt all the time. My knees routinely failed me and caused me so much pain . I've spent several months working with Eric. I told him on day 1 that I will do whatever he asks of me. I've worked hard to keep that promise. I trust his knowledge. I trust him. It's not been easy but I've gained so much ground. . My knee replacement surgery has been indefinitely postponed. I now have far less pain. My mobility and range of motion has increased dramatically. I am a new person and it is because of my trainer Eric. If you want a good life that includes health and mobility, I highly recommend Eric at Good Life. Btw- the gym is very clean and has plenty of machines.

Expérience négative: Pre covid this gym was great, child minding was available which was very helpful with 3 young kids, machines worked and if broken were fixed quick. Now it takes forever for machines to be fixed the front door has been broken for months, still no child minding, you’ve gotten rid of the tanning options. The gym has just changed a lot and not in a good way! They know the machines are broken and they just tape them off for months

Expérience fantastique: Goodlife Fitness Voyageur Place has been very accommodating when it came to personal training and their one on one training sessions, during COVID19. My trainer Sameer has been very understanding and flexible with my work schedule; with how I have had to travel and then resume training with him at different periods. Sameer is also great at pushing me past my normal comfort level, with regards to the workouts, which is fantastic. The club staff itself has kept their building quite hygienic and clean, with regular cleanings and cleaning supplies available for members to use; I have no concerns about hygiene.

Expérience positive: The gym is clean and cheap. The best thing about it is, its open 24×7. Evenings are very crowded sometime on weekdays and you might miss on many new features and amenities offered by other gyms.

Expérience négative: Not sure why they keep advertising as being open 24HR's. For months we have been told they will return to pre pandemic hours, however week after week, month after month it is the same response. The Goodlife responses to similar comments of "speak to the club manager" are also useless as there currently is no club GM, posted on the wall as the previous one who was great has moved on. Also before their exit they were very clear this is a corporate decision and not up to local MGMT. Staff and facilty are great, hours of operation not so much.

Expérience fantastique: A huge shout-out to all the staff at this Goodlife location! The trainers are exceptional, the overall vibe is great and I have had nothing but good experiences. I have to mention my trainer Lavinnia Joe who designed my workouts based on the problems I have. I like that Lavinnia corrects my form, she is very knowledgeable, patient and always reminds me how to breathe properly to get the best results. Lavinnia really cares and goes above and beyond to help you achieve your goals. I definitely recommend this gym to my friends and family.

Members are paying a premium price for a gym that no longer provides them with those services not to mention the lack of cleanliness which has more apparent in the last few months.

Head office needs to wake up and change this gym to 24hrs or else lot of people will be canceling. Other Goodlife in the north end is 24hrs why is this one not?? Expérience négative: *Edit* I spoke to an employee who said they’ve been authorized for 24/7 since May and they’re not sure why they haven’t made the switch yet. Talk about bad management. Most of the appeal with Good Life is the fact that they are open 24/7, pre-pandemic this one was 24/5. For the past 3 months I've been told that they expect to open back as 24/7 "sometime this month". I'm not sure how they rationalized raising prices and forcing longtime members to cancel their memberships during a pandemic while at the same time refusing to open up to their own standards when everyone else has. It's too bad, because aside from these 2 things it's a great gym and atmosphere.

Expérience fantastique: My trainer, Lavinnia Joe has made a program for me which has helped me to fearlessly approach fitness in a new way. She patiently explained how each machine worked, how to breathe properly for best results and encouraged me to try out the machines on my own as well. Expérience fantastique: I joined Goodlife in October and have had a really positive experience thus far. Super nice facility, friendly staff and zero complaints. That being said, this is more of an appreciation post. Just wanted to give a shout-out to Charvel (AKA Chevy) the woman that greets us from behind the counter Monday to Friday. Chevy is such a fixture at this place and slays it at her job. She's super friendly and thoughtful and always greets you with a big smile (at least I'm pretty sure thats a smile behind the mask). I see her five days a week and honestly, she's a big part of why I like going there so much. Just want to say thanks for all that you do and also thanks for being so nice literally all of the time. You're appreciated.

Expérience fantastique: I am overweight, and shy about using a gym, but I found this gym to be very inclusive and friendly - both staff and patrons. Great place to workout, with an excellent selection of machines and the layout is perfect. I use a trainer (Sameer) and he is amazing, with a great understanding of how to maximize my progression without injury.

They keep the gym super clean and organized to ensure we still have a safe environment to exercise in and they all know your name after only a few visits! Been to a lot of gyms and different Goodlife locations across the country and this one is has been by far the best.

Expérience fantastique: Although I was so excited to get back to the gym, with everything going on with covid I was still a little nervous. I made the appointment anyways and am glad I did. The sanitary procedures and extra precautions they have put in place make me feel 100% safe- the staff are knowledgeable and always on top of reminding clients to physically distance and wipe machines down before and after using. I have been to the gym every day since they have opened back up and they are consistently proving to me that they care about the health of their clients. Thank goodness for the gym, with two young children at home this place is my outlet.

Expérience négative: They literally have product booths with salesmen in the middle of the gym floor. Completely insane and unprofessional.

Expérience négative: Gym says it open 24 hrs on the building but it's not. Some messed up rotating hour schedule. Definitely not 24!

Expérience fantastique: Love this gym.Scott who works on front desk always greets me by name after my only telling him once.Wonder if he knows everyone? Certainly he makes entering the gym very welcoming. The class instructors are also super friendly and inclusive of all ability levels and there is a huge variety in classes.

Expérience positive: Fully equipped, bright, well ventilated, and spacious gym great sauna as well. all you need is there whether you want to lose weight or get in shape this gym would do the help because of the variety of machines it has. I never tried the personal trainer so I can’t judge. I wish if they can expand it and add swimming pool and maybe steam room other than that I think it’s a great place to workout.
