Fantastic experience: has nice and kind people there

Positive experience: I think staff should be changing garbage and machines in busy time and people don’t remove shoes at the front Staff should point out everyone A lot of people don’t clean machine after use. They should team them if they don’t know hygiene

Negative experience: we leave this gym because it doesn’t have 24h cuz we work but we get off late and the gym is closed bro come on make 24h we wanna get back to work again

Negative experience: I like the gym equipment and cleanliness but the management and employees do nothing to enforce their own policies. I use the gym 4 days a week and EVERY DAY I witness people using their cell phones in the men's locker room. They have a sign in the locker room stating cell phones are prohibited in the change room but they do nothing about it, even after multiple complaints. This gym clearly has no problem with cell phone use where clients get naked!

Negative experience: This gym became awful; pay for a yearly membership to have other people be creepy and record you working out. Even if you change machines and warn the staff; there will always be a person following you and recording you. Had to cancel my membership.

Negative experience: im currently have membership at planet fitness and I am very disappointed I got athlete's feet because no one cares about cleaning the tanning room and tanning bed

Negative experience: Hey will take your information and then will charge you whenever they want and put you through hell to cancel it.

Fantastic experience: Gym is nice and clean! Staff is super friendly. Only downside is the hours. It should be 24*7 other than that everything is okay!

Fantastic experience: Personally I really enjoy going to this gym and I am always seeing the staff cleaning. The machines are always in great condition and I appreciate the ease and variety of options (such as TRX, lots of cardio machines, smith machines, weigh machines and etc) at Planet Fitness. There's also an app that can show you how to use the machines, as well as how busy the gym is at any given time. The best part of this gym are the interactions with the staff whenever I come in, it truly makes going to the gym that much more pleasant. The manager and assistant manager have been so welcoming and personable, it's truly a joy whenever they are working. There are a few people who need a special shout out: My original tour was with Jeremy who was very welcoming and provided a wealth of knowledge and a non-judgmental attitude. I've had also had such positive interactions with Mark at the front and he brings a great energy every time I come in. He shows a sense of care for the members that come in and also holds a wealth of knowledge about fitness. There's a great group here at Planet Fitness and so I would highly recommend trying out this gym especially for beginners or those needing a safe space to workout.

Positive experience: Checked out this gym with their free day pass (if you haven't used PF for 12 months prior). ✅️ Great location with ample parking ✅️ Clean facility and washrooms ✅️ Lots of cardio machines that are well kept and easy to use ✅️ Friendly staff who are helpful and informative ✅️ Massage chairs were a bonus ❗️Only one toilet in the men's washroom - though they have 4 individual showers + 3 large individual change areas across the showers ❗️Beginner gym with no bench presses, inclines, etc. Not a negative per se as this gym doesn't cater to that, however they do have several Smith machine racks to compensate 4⭐️ as it's a clean, well maintained gym with an outstanding price point (especially with free guest pass option), however -1 for me as they didn't have the equipment I was looking for

Fantastic experience: This place is absolutely awesome. Usually awesome staff , however, sometimes they are short of staff. I would absolutely recommend this place to almost everyone, although I am totally against their cash, free choice. Those who do the research know why. Also, I know many many senior citizens and actually many middle-age people that just prefer to use cash you are doing yourself. A disservice to Canada and the United States is suppose to be about freedom of choice

Negative experience: Good thing its no commitment.... i was first told i could bring my baby in his stroller. He is 5 months and just does nothing on his stroller. Today i called to confirm and they said that i could not... now i have to cancel it and find one that allows me to being him or one with childcare.

Positive experience: 3.5 had to leave due to the body odor .

Negative experience: One female staff at the front desk said there's time limits of only 3 minutes for taking shower when I discussed about membership enrollment. It was totally absurd. So, I got a membership at World Gym, instead.

Fantastic experience: I've been hitting Planet Fitness Gym for the last two weeks and have a mixed bag of impressions to share. First off, the major downside: there’s only one toilet in the men's room. Even at 5 AM, you find yourself waiting in line, which is incredibly inconvenient and a significant oversight in design. On the brighter side, the staff here are wonderful. Shout out to Vanessa, who helped sign me up—her knowledge and friendliness made a great first impression. The gym itself is clean, and all the equipment works well, which is definitely a plus. They have more cardio machines than actual workout machines, so cardio lovers would feel particularly at home here. The atmosphere early in the morning is calm and friendly, quite the opposite of the bustling evenings, making it a great choice for those who prefer a quieter workout environment. The showers are another high point, equipped with good water pressure; only once did I find the hot water lacking. They also play great music throughout the facility, so even if you forget your headphones, you won’t miss out on some workout tunes. Overall, while the single toilet issue is a big drawback, the friendly staff, clean and functional environment, and additional amenities make Planet Fitness a decent choice for regular workouts.

Negative experience: Loved my initial experience at this particular location and was going quite regularly Chrissy and Mickie are amazing people..However, I had a small issue come up with the gym policies and an employee that tried to enforce it in a very poor and very unprofessional manner. This issue was resolved between myself and the gym management and I thought that was the end of it. Everytime I go in for the afternoon/evening it seems that some particular employees are constantly huddling in one corner and I rarely get a smile and the vibe seems ominous, I had brought a guest along and it's a shame that she was the one who first mentioned the overall vibe going in.

Positive experience: Really nice gym. I went in here Thursday around noon and it was very quiet. It's definitely a begginers gym so if your into body building this probably isn't the place for you. The membership includes use of the massage chair which I enjoyed as well Update: After about a month of signing up here the gym became way too crowded with not enough machines. I found myself constantly waiting for machines and when I would finally get a machine I would feel like there is somebody always in my personal space. Overall the gym was great but it's just too small. There is also too many cardio machines that take up alot of space that aren't actually very busy. I would recommend removing some cardio machines and adding more smith machines and other exercise machines that there aren't multiples of

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! I always have a very positive judgment free experience. I went to goodlife before and it was the complete opposite. Everything is always very clean and they have everything you could need for a good workout no complaints here!!

Negative experience: There’s too less men’s washrooms. Why is there only one men’s washroom stall?

Positive experience: This is a nice gym, the only reason I didn't give it a 5 star is because it doesn't have any Olympic style barbells or plates. They have a few Smith machines which you can do most things without the barbells. However, you can still do every kind of movement with dumbbells.

Fantastic experience: I really liked this location, the facility was clean and the machines were all quite new, in good condition and a wide variety to choose from. The staff were friendly and happy to help as it was my first time at a Planet Fitness.l location. It was a little busy, so I would recommend scheduling to go at off-peak hours.

Fantastic experience: Clean new gym, equipment is nice not as busy as other gyms and no b.o smell like fit4less lol. The rates are cheap u just have to pay for initial start up fee of 59 bucks if u don’t want premium and 15 bucks per month after that. I chose that package because I don’t use the other facilities but even if I did it was only 29 bucks and u can bring a friend anytime for free. Everything’s clean from washrooms to workout area. To get started u can just download the app and pick whatever ur comfortable for ur plan and budget. I did everything online in like 5-10 mins to sign up and pay. Also they have an annual 49 dollar fee but even with that it’s cheaper than GoodLife or golds gym

Fantastic experience: I like the gym, come here 6 days a week. Not reviewing the gym as all gyms have quality. This is a safe space for anyone though.one staff in particular I'm reviewing. Chrissy is a unbelievable woman. Never been to a gym were there was such a great human being working there. Honestly maybe the best person I have ever met. I have a planet fitness that's closer to my house but I would rather come here. She makes you feel welcome, funny, smart all in all she is awesome. No I don't have a crush on her, I aspire to be such a great person one day. Thank you Chrissy, from Mr. 4.5 hour going to have a heart attack but promised I wouldn't die on site guy

Fantastic experience: Great gym for the price. Never too busy when I go. I love the hydro massage chairs after working out. The PF trainer Mickie is awesome and always energetic!

Negative experience: When the gym started it was great but now it's getting dirtier as people are not wiping their equipment after use. I don't see staff cleaning the gym either. The change rooms are getting dirty as well, and it's starting to be the next fitforless. I may need to rethink continuing my membership with them. Edit: The response from Planet Fitness shows they do not care about the cleanliness in their gym. No wiping down of equipment from gym members or staff.

Fantastic experience: Came in weak and skinny, came out ripped and buff. All the ladies squealed upon my arrival. I dropped a dumbell on my face but that just chiseled my face even more, jit turned me into handsome squidward. Love this place.

Positive experience: Fabulous place to break a sweat without breaking your wallet. This new locations is fantastic! Love the staff and the environment. However, I wish Planet Fitness opened a location in the North West of Calgary. I know a lot of people who are waiting for the same.

Fantastic experience: It’s a great place for workout with all new machines which are really effective. A new location with great area. If you need a new and quiet environment for blasting workout like me then must visit in Sunridge area near cineplex and you can always bring a gym buddy with pf black card which is great for buddies in just 29.99$ .

Fantastic experience: I recently joined and I really like the environment in this gym. Lots of huge windows with plenty of sunshine Gym is not crowded. Lots of equipments. I just got a 30 minute training from one of the trainers and it was intense workout. I really enjoyed it and would definitely keep on using that area.

Negative experience: Someone tell the blonde girl at the desk who was working Saturday the 4th that she has a really terrible attitude. Like seemed genuinely offended that I had a question.

Fantastic experience: Great addition to the NE/Sunridge area that will hopefully alleviate the demand on other gyms. PF is definitely a step above Fit4Less for nearly the same price but with way better equipment and amenities. I do wish there was a free weight barbell but at least there are plenty of smith machines to accommodate for that. Glad to see another location in Calgary.

Negative experience: The place is fine and with potential growth except that they are asking for your bank details for who knows what is their reason. Too many scammers nowadays. A hack or a leak on their system will cost damage to customers

Positive experience: Brand new location in the old Chapters building. Since everything is new all the equipment is in pristine condition with some still having their screen protectors on. The staff and very friendly and willing to answer any questions you have. They are still setting up a few things like the TVs but everything that is included in the gym is ready for people to use. The only downside is that there is not really any space to do basic weights, stretches, or body weight exercises unless you claim one of the few benches in front of the mirror or stand in the middle of the functional training area.
