Negative experience: Crap Gym, hype by the name and brand but the gym is trash

Fantastic experience: I’m a member here at golds its the best gym in the city the equipment is goated over here and staff is outstanding special shoutout to Jaskaran he is always amazing and helpful

PK was a great help setting up my membership and friend that I look forward to seeing at the front desk when I go! I’ve tried other gyms around Calgary and Golds by far has the best price for what you get.

Negative experience: Giving this place a 2/5 stars. As other as have said the financial service with Gold's Gym is a horrendous experience. I've been with them for a COUPLE of years with my family. The gym itself is fine to me but the customer service regarding billing is terrible that honestly it just ruins the experience of going to this gym. Check your banking statements because I've checked for the past 6 months and it doesn't always add up and when you ask for a detailed break down of the billing statement you're not going to get one. I finally decided to cancel because I've been paying too much and I haven't been able to get answers as to why this is. You ask the front desk and they provide you an email/phone number to call. I tried to call ABC customer service to get answers and the process of getting through an actual representative is extremely frustrating due to the stupid automation where you have to repeat yourself a million times and if you don't say the prompts listed they will straight up hang up on you even though the prompts weren't your concern. After finally getting to talk to the rep they tell me if I want to cancel my membership I have to send them an email to confirm I want to cancel which begs the question why can't you just cancel it for me on the phone!? You have to wait 30 days after the cancellation is confirmed meaning you still have to pay until then furthermore, because I wasn't the main account holder and I was just an added on family member I can't even cancel for the rest of family members who I'm also paying for which is just ridiculous because it means I'm going to have to do this process all over again for them too!! I even mentioned this to the rep that I was paying for all of this so I should be able to cancel my other family member as well, but no I have to send another email. Just fantastic, I'm already exhausted from doing this and you want to make my life harder. All in all, this has been the most frustrating experience with this gym.

Negative experience: So I have only signed up for about 4 months never had problem til Fareed became the manager for north gate he doesn't know very much customer service he be swearing in facility saying he doesn't care way he talks to females is disgusting i think his ego got the best that guy ! I never be coming back to Northgate because of that manager swearing at me tonight very unprofessional I will never be going back even tho I have hours build up I never want deal this drama again. To Mr manager who says he doesn't care WHY are u there yet ppl paying for ur facility and your that disrespectful from day one !!!! Learn how to talk to ur customers !!!

Negative experience: Worst gym I've ever been to Half the machines don't have pins and you have to steal it off another machine. Most of the stickers are gone so you don't even know what weight you're pushing. Some of the machines were not level so they'd start rocking as soon as you sit on it. definitely not the best golds in Calgary
