Negative experience: This gym is located in the basement of the Pen Center. The black card area is right underneath the Mall toilet. There is a leaking P trap for 5 months now. Leaking toilet water splashes on you when working out. I wish the health department (city) does an inspection here. Edit: the owner tried to remove this review

Negative experience: This is the worst gym I’ve ever been too, even planet fitness has water fountains! This bunting location is so small, luckily I have a black card and could go to the Glendale one which is a significant improvement and actually has the black card benefits I am literally paying more to have. if you’ve never worked out a day in your life, this is the gym for you. Otherwise probably head next door to GoodLife lol

Positive experience: Really odd for a gym not to have water fountains or showers. Some of the station equipment like Pec fly, deltoid raise, seated calf raise could use some love, it feels like you're fighting the equipment for it to work rather than lifting the actual weight. Besides this though it's an ok gym.
Positive experience: It’s okay, too busy, equipment is good. I wanted to cancel my member subscription but I have to go in to them to do it. Super inconvenient

Fantastic experience: Amazing location amazing staff. I was going to the pen center and it was very busy and crowd was very young, which is ok however I was looking for more or a quiet gym setting. Bunting offers that and I love going anytime of day it’s calm, however only thing missing is the hydro beds! Hopefully we will see them soon!

Negative experience: I love this gym because the staff is very nice and it has everything that I need to work out. BUT, there are several machines that have not been fixed, and it has been 4+ months. The pec fly machine, the leg abductor and adduction machine to name a few. This makes your work out a bit more boring due to not having a variety of machines to exercise the desired muscles. This is why it's a 1 star.

Positive experience: Small location...feels busy when there is about 20-25. Worse because 3-4 pieces of equipment are usually down, and for long periods. Which makes it difficult to find pieces to use during busy times. Lots of cardio and dedicated circuit area. Could use a little more cleanliness....a lot of dust bunnies tumbling around.
Negative experience: Shit4less is a terrible company. They don't care about employees security. Or members personal details.

Negative experience: The gym is supposed to be open 24/7 but this gym is closed since 4-5 days continuously without any reason. There is no direct way to inquire when the gym will be opening bcz nobody will answer the call. Just a piece of paper is pasted on the gates that the gym is closed which anyone standing n reading the paper can see...no reason is mentioned and no information about when it will be opening again is available. Such abysmal customer service and pathetic way of running an establishment is unbelievable.

Negative experience: I provide 2 star these are because the gym itself is fantastic. I called today to freeze my account as I am travelling for 5 months. When previously freezing account it could take 2-5 days. I wanted to have the option to go until I left. I did not want to freeze it go and not be able to workout. I got settled into my condo In South America and upon going to website I was getting an error code. I purchased a VPN and got on and was unable to find the freeze option. I called the gym and they informed me they took this option out and I would have 2 more payments coming out. So I just paid one and now I pay for 2 more. Fit for Less...you do not think when making a massive change like this your members should be informed? I used this option twice with no issues. If you informed me I would have cancelled my membership for the date I was leaving...but YOU DIDN'T. Not only that but then your staff gets to take my angry call. What I see is you do not care about your members or your staff. If you cared about your members you would send an email and post this HUGE change in your facility...if you cared about your staff you would do the same to avoid them taking calls from upset members. This is a pertinent change that was not visible to members who used this option. As a huge company you should know better and have better business sense. You rely on computers to do everything. The poor staff knows nothing. It is nice to go into a facility and the staff can actually help you. I should have known this option was removed and I should NOT have found out by trying to use the option. Even when the option was there payments did not line up and you took extra money out. A lot of gyms do this to make more money and I let it go however if you cannot offer me the decency to notify me of the option being removed then no payments should be coming out. This is an oversight on your side. I walk in the gym at least 4 days a week and not once did I see a notice posted. I managed a gym and when we made any changes I personally posted notices by the door, by the desk, in the entry to washrooms and by the group fitness room. This is called due diligence. It should have been posted everywhere for members to see. In every facility as well as email and text! You are not doing anything good here for members or staff. Shame on you Fit for Less...you can do better! You do not even have a contact email. You call the gym no one has a clue. Trying to find an email is next to impossible. What business has no way to contact someone when a problem arises. These are huge issues that you need to look at as a company. I know you will get many stupid emails however if you are not providing in facility options to fix issues than there needs to be an alternate option to members. Because no option is NOT an option.

Fantastic experience: Stopped in to check it out, as it’s not my home gym and was pleasantly surprised. While the gym is smaller than other locations such as the Pen Centre Fir4Less, it was also much quieter. As such, I intend to go back soon! Multiple machines, a good selection too!
Fantastic experience: Clean and well kept equipment
Negative experience: It’s been 5 weeks and still haven’t received my refund. The manager gives me stories about how surprising it is and how they would escalate the matter. Then they tell me they have mail out my check, then they had the wrong address and now nothing has come. I want my fund and now have additional interest charges on my credit card because they can’t get their act straight. Btw, I left this gym because they don’t have a water fountain and charge $4 per bottle of water.

Positive experience: This is a great gym! The staff here are amazing and it has just about anything you need in a gym. It could use an update on its equipment, some new amenities, and a water fountain though. For the monthly fee, you will not find a better price anywhere.
Negative experience: This place is terrible, I have been trying to call them for the past 2 weeks to cancel my membership but no one answers the phone. The times i’ve been there the staff just stand around, why is it so difficult to cancel a membership
Positive experience: You get what you pay for. Its a small facility with the basics. No proper squat rack and barely any floor space to utilize. I was shocked to learn that a replacement key tag is more then my month membership cost.
Negative experience: Rating this gym 1 star for poor customer service not on behalf of myself but for a friend. My friend called to cancel her membership over the phone but was told by an employee named Peter that they have a new policy to cancel in person at a kiosk. My friend explained her situation and was met with frustration and told that they only cancel over the phone for select situations and used someones hernia removal as an example? I'm pretty sure he could have been more accommodating and patient and maybe not use personal medical information as an excuse for why he did not WANT to cancel her membership over the phone for her. Poor customer service. Very unimpressed.

Negative experience: On December 20, 2021 at around 4pm the girl at the counter for customer service was very rude and disrespectful! I came in to see how the gym was for the first time since the pandemic I also had a tan in which I paid for. When I pointed out the fact that a few light bulbs were out she immediately threw a tantrum and said "well I shouldn't have allowed you in. Your name is not in our system I will Not refund your money" Really?! that's how you treat customers first I didn't even ask for a refund and her manager needs to discipline her before she gets in trouble. She should really know how to talk to customers. I simply just pointed this out. You really need to listen more. You should have informed customers that a couple of light bulbs were out before you charged them for the tan. She really does give off bad vibes! Thank you FIT4Less for allowing me to share my experience today with all my friends! I'm sure one customer less wont make a difference in your gym., but I would defiantly advice the management to train your workers to be respectful to everyone!
Fantastic experience: They've got everything I need at a reasonable price. Facility isn't huge by any means but it has everything you would need, is always clean, never too crowded, and the staff is very friendly.
Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for the past two months and I’m very surprised how clean, organized, nice this location is. The staff are very friendly, upon check in they ask you to verify the flu vaccination certificate, it’s very cheap membership and very competitive comparing to other gyms. There is enough parking spots, closet, you have to bring your own locker, for changing rooms, washroom is OK. Plenty of machines exercise on

Negative experience: Update: Dec 26 2022, I give one star. They were closed with no determination on dates and days . is this difficult to update google or at least put notification on the closed door? One important aspect of a good gym is the indoor design, venting , appropriate ceiling height , and enough room incase of crowdy status to breath well during exercise, plus affordable price, they handle their customer service much better compare to the time we needed book a time slot for workout..
Negative experience: Machines break constantly, never get repaired. Cable machine has been broken 3+ months, leg curls 1+ month, now assisted pull-ups/dips are gone and I don't expect them to return.
Fantastic experience: So far so good I like it. Easy enough to sign up. Friendly staff. Just did not bring a proof of vaccination as I did not know about it and it was not mentioned at sign up. Was able to get it from government on my phone though.

Negative experience: Bought a year membership just before they closed down and was able to attend once, asked for a refund of my money as they had been closed on and off for the last 2 years. Never saw money back at all. If you pay for a service and it isn't provided to you, you should be reambursed. Poorly operated business.

Negative experience: With gyms reopened during the pandemic I've shown up twice now in as many weeks and no one is there to open the gym leaving a line up of people outside to wonder what's happening.

Positive experience: Small but nice place to work out. The staff are very friendly and most people are respectful. Covid-19 protocols are in place well provided you follow them. Many machines are blocked off so that everyone distances. Red Zone: Booking is difficult in the red zone because of the lack of availability. If you do get in, there is hardly anyone which is comforting.
Negative experience: This gym has the worst customer service - period. When the St. Catharines location reopened after the virus hit, they started back with 60 minute sessions. I asked them to freeze my membership & payments until they allow patrons to be there for 90 minute sessions, which is the minimum I need. They froze it; but only for 30 days. Once that expired, they started charging me again but didn't tell me they were unfreezing my membership. I don't check my bank account too often so three months passed before I noticed I was being charged again. When I wrote to complain, they denied all blame. I demanded a refund for the fees they've taken when I haven't been using the gym, and which I've told them about already, AND an email to use so I can file a complaint with the company. They have refused both of those requests. In fact, they haven't even given me the courtesy of a response to those requests. I went to the St. Catharines location to complain and they cancelled my membership, however they are still going to collect fees from me for the next month. These people are sharks, and don't care about people, and in this time of covid, it sure shows how much they care about people dealing with tough budgetary decisions. I will never go back again!

Positive experience: My wife joined years ago. Then quit probably 15 years ago. When she died Aug 1 I found they were still taking fees from our bank. That is ridiculous and has to stop. Be careful!!!!! Update Feb 2021 They have refunded money to me and were very apologetic.

Positive experience: I've been a member more than 2 years. The cleaning staff need to get back to how they worked in the past. Lately I never see anyone cleaning. Used to see them dusting and washing equipment everytime I was there. Which is at least 3 times per week. Now the girls stand at the entrance chatting it up or on their phone. Great price, hours and location.

Fantastic experience: Whether you're a student or someone on a budget, this is perfect. It's accessible by bus as well, in the day and night. Friendly staff and it's a fairly quiet place to work out. They have lockers and change rooms. As well as sign up spots right on site. Barry quipment is clean and in my opinion fairly new. In addition they have a wide variety of areas and equipment to exercise on. This is a very open and spacious gym. Most importantly this is a place where you can just work out without judgment.

Fantastic experience: I think Emily should get a pay raise.. Every time I go the gym she is cleaning something. I honestly thought she was the cleaning lady for a bit but it turns out she's just dedicated to the fit4less team Side note: she also did this finger pointing gun motion thing to me as I left the gym, not sure that's cool to do anymore but I didn't hate it hahaha She needs a promotion. Best Gym and staff in town.
