Fantastic experience: Best Fit4Less in the City! Well managed, always clean, great variety of equipment. Jordan is always great to chat with. Also shout out to Isaiah and Brendan at the front desk! They always bring smiles and positive energy.

Positive experience: Great gym space. Always room on the machines, never have to wait. A good assortment or dumbbells and loaded fixed bars, also a few squat racks and bench press stations (I'm not with the black card special, where there more machines amd racks). There are kettlebells upstairs too which is amazing! Clientele are always friendly, I always have a chat and laugh with someone while I'm there. Facility is clean, not one complaint there. Staff leave something to be desired however- I always have to say hello first, I'm the first to make eye contact and share a smile. One staff member however STANDS OUT- Isaiah you are great! You are actually helpful and can engage like a normal person. I am happy to see you at the desk. Other staff will almost turn away when they see you and shove in their airpods in so they don't have to engage- It's almost bizarre. Anyway if you can get over that and hopefully talk to Isaiah you'll be fine

Negative experience: Wouldn’t recommend going here. I deactivated my gym membership, I was told 9.03 was gonna be taken out of my bank account, but they took OUT ALMOST 45 dollars (bunch of scammers).

Fantastic experience: Brandon at this location of Fit4Less has been consistently kind, courteous, and super helpful every time I’ve been at the gym. ♥️ I’ve seen him interact with other members, and he always goes out of his way to make everyone feel welcome! This is long overdue cause he has helped me multiple times with different things All the staff actually are amazing at this location, I believe the manager is Jordan, so please know your folks are great!

Fantastic experience: Been coming here since December 2023. Machines are always in good order, and I find I am never waiting for the machine I want, which is super nice. I should mention, though, that I don't go during peak hours, so I can not comment on that. The place is super clean.

Negative experience: Sanitary problem.. some people don’t clean or wipe after they use equipments. I wish stuff also does cleaning equipment multiple times a day since employees don’t have lots to do. I never seen employees do something except for watching YouTube on their phones

Fantastic experience: A no nonsense gym

Negative experience: Fit4less charged me $138.08 because I cancelled my membership following the cancellation guidelines set by a similarly named company called fitness4less. Once I realized my mistake, I called fit4less, and the manager was unsympathetic and ensured that I paid my debt in full. This experience was so horrible that I vow never to go to another Goodlife location as they truly don't care about their members and only see people as cash cows.

Fantastic experience: Love this place, great staff, great equipment (need to go back more) 10/10

Negative experience: Easy to enroll but pain in the butt to cancel. No way to cancel online and must travel to the place and deal with it. Hopefully they have my cancellation request processed correctly as there is no receipt

Negative experience: My partner and I bought guest passes at the kiosk and were unable to get in, access was denied multiple times. There were two other people who had active memberships that also were unable to get in. No staff anywhere to help us, very unimpressed.

Positive experience: Great place to do a bit of everything. There's a weight room with quite a lot of space to workout. There are a few types of cardio machines like the stair master and the treadmill, which have a lot of availability depending on the time of day. The second floor has many machines for all parts of your body plus a stretch zone and an area more focused on calisthenics. Great place to workout, no matter what your goal is, because they have a bit of everything. The only problem I have with this gym is how busy it gets. Despite dedicating quite a bit of space to the weight room, it is hard to find a spot since the equipment is limited to how much could fit in said space. There are only 6 benches and they get taken pretty quickly. But, that being said, most of the people taking up said equipment are very kind and will often be open to spotting your lift or letting you know how much longer they may need that equipment for.

Negative experience: The membership cost is a good value for what they offer. Though, the music on the gym speakers is turned up way too loud most of the time. It's very unpleasant, especially on the second floor. Also, the cleanliness in the change rooms is subpar. Overall though, this place is good.

Positive experience: My review is only and only for the Kanata Eagleson location. The Gym is really good however the staff seriously needs a lot of training. I went to this Gym on Saturday around 2 PM as I received an Email from fit4less that I won the one year Gym Membership in the contest. The girl at reception had no idea that such a contest was being run and on top of it she was too stubborn as she said that she has been associated with Fit4less for 4 years now. Then she checked with her manager who also had no idea of such a contest. I showed her an email which I received when I signed up for free Gym access for last Thursday of the month which clearly stated that signing up for free class automatically gets me an entry to this contest. She said, "Yeah, ok, so what should I do with this", I replied, "I want you and your manager to know of such a contest so please inform". I went to Merivale location and met a knowledgeable guy by the name Noah, who confirmed that the mail is legit and explained to me the next steps. Please hire people like Noah more

Fantastic experience: Great place to work out

Negative experience: Used to be great when it opened. Took a dive past few months. Especially in the winter. They added a second sign for people to take off their wet salty boots but it's not enough. You either take your boots off and get your socks soaked, or you keep your boots on and track salt all over the gym. Bad system. Rubber grips coming off equipment, cable machines with dead zones, change rooms that haven't been cleaned in weeks (look inside the lockers where people put their wet boots), hair clumps all over the gym, disinfectant bottles usually empty...

Fantastic experience: This gym is a really nice place to go to, sometimes it gets really busy but that’s what you would expect when you go to a gym where people want to work out. There vending machine has a good selection even though it’s mainly just drinks and not protein bars or anything but I like it so far

Fantastic experience: They open 24/7 which is very convenient for the people who finish their work late. The staffs in the Kanata location are very nice and friendly. This place is very clean and the facilities are completed.

Fantastic experience: Recently was at the Walkley location for the first time and it was SO bad, I realized how good this location is. The equipment here is always in working order (no break downs/out of order), the change rooms have lockers large enough for coats, boots and gym bags, as well as showers and changing stalls. The paper towel is always stocked and people always wipe down after. The women to men ratio is even (other location is all men, lol) and the staff is friendly here. I never leave reviews, but the juxtaposition between locations is crazy!

Positive experience: Most affordable gym in Kanata. Decent selection of free weights, machines and cardio equipment. Place is open 24/7 with good staffing hours. The black card is absolutely worth it.

Negative experience: Poor staff, management made me very uncomfortable & gave very creepy vibes. Gyms should have inclusivity and people should feel welcome and safe. As a man, the manager seems to care more about the women at the gym than his own position as a manager, which is really pathetic to see. This individual i’ve seen should not have a position of power in the gym if that is how he is going to act towards people in a gym environment!

Negative experience: I’ve been coming here since it opened….things have drastically changed for the worse. Showers/change room is not cleaned on a regular basis- especially when the same glob of hair has been there for a week. Machines are starting to show their age…I guess that’s why so many don’t work (treadmills). Showers…OMG for a 24/7 gym it would be fantastic if the showers would turn on before 7am (most times it’s been closer to 7:10am or later!!! VERY ANNOYING) Are the tanning beds even cleaned???

Positive experience: Large and relatively clean gym. The free weights could be better organized and some of the staff members need to learn about customer service. Ignoring gym members and sitting on the front desk does not look very professional.

Negative experience: I don’t notice other comments before joining this gym. Later I can see what others commented is true. The staff here is not polite to answer any question. They are busy in discussing themselves at their desk. Their answers are so disgusting like we are using the gym for free and we are utilising it for free. That tall lady at reception is not fit to work at fit4less.

Negative experience: Staff is so rude and they don’t reply you properly. Especially if you are not Canadian they don’t even take your feedback or reply you in proper way. Such a worst staff. The lady with spectacular and two guys with her are like playing jokes and not bothered to answer.

Positive experience: I love that the last Thursday of each month they have a free work out day for anyone

Fantastic experience: This is probably the best Fit4Less you can find in Ottawa area. You will find one squat rack and two benches for bench press on the first floor. If you happened to have the black card membership, you will find more equipments like four squat racks on the second floor. The equipments are more than enough no matter if your goal is powerlifting, bodybuilding or just wanna stay healthy. Too bad that I live in nowhere near Kanata.

Fantastic experience: Google shows 10pm closing time but they are 24 hours open , they put stuff hours instead of real hours . Gym has amazing place for black card workout area , equipments are great condition . It has 2 story , second floor mainly for black card area but still very spacious place. When Equipment needs maintenance it takes 1-2 days. Very quick.

Positive experience: It's a decent Gym for this price. Some things that may improve though - They used to have hand sanitizer before, now no sanitizing stations. Also it would be great if the showers can still operate during unstaffed hours too. Same for the massage chairs.

Negative experience: The people working there are incredibly rude. I forgot my pass and they didn’t let me in because I didn’t look my age. One worker in particular had a terrible attitude and should not be working in customer service. This experience has made me want to switch gyms.

Negative experience: Card reader is having issues and the place isn't staffed when it supposed to be, so I'm forced to wait until they decide to show up or go home. When I actually get in, I see that many people are having the same issues trying to get in, or waiting at the counter then leaving because nobody is working.

Negative experience: Staff are not always there, shower is shut off and finally request to downgrade as I will be out of town and am still charged full amount and when I asked why they simply advise it’s a system. They did not honour the mistake to apology but blame the system. Totally not recommend

Negative experience: Went back, after a couple of months, and this is clear how things have gotten worse. Equipment is broken dirty and poor maintenance. People getting in without using their access cards (probably they don't pay) People not changing their shoes (using outside shoes, with tons of salt and snow) Employees don't seem to care, because they saw it but they don't enforce their policy. + recently I saw people practicing Muay-Thai in the second floor in the middle of the equipment, being very disruptive to the people that are there training. That is one of the best Fit4Less in Ottawa, but things need to be improved to keep that name and I don't see any improvements happing.

Fantastic experience: So much more at Fit4Less. Completely exceeded my expectations on the first day! ***Beware of reviews older than 3 months, as these are for a different location***. Reviews saying the gym wasn't clean was not my experience. On the contrary, lots of cleaning going on while I was there, and cleaning stations for machines were well stocked. Easy to sign up and get a membership card using the self-serve kiosk. Spacious coat room, lots of racks for wet boots. Easily accessible lockers in the main area if you don't need to change. Lots and lots of cardio equipment - bikes, treadmills, ellipticals. Tons of free weights and machines (pun intended). Approachable and professional staff (Jesse was great). I don't miss towel service (BYO), free gym bag (I have too many bags to count), studio for classes (lots of other places have these if that is your thing), no pressure to sign up for sessions with a personal trainer. Easy to get started, to can be working out in five minutes using the on-site kiosk. 3 months later, still pleased with my decision to join. Don't see the advantage of locking in rates if they advertise increases in advance, need to balance annual lock-in price versus total annual cost update.

Negative experience: I signed up last night and was told to go to the self-serve kiosk at the entrance to pick up my card. Sure enough I get there at 6:00 AM and the machine has a broken sign on it. The hours of operation sign said that someone will be working at 7:00 AM so I said why not just wait the hour since I am already here.. I waited until 7:20 AM and still no staff that showed up? Staff is late? Such a waste of a drive.. at least notify your new clients if machines are closed man. Well that is two hours I will never get back again.

Positive experience: A well-equipped gym open 24/7. The equipment is new-ish and they maintain it well. The place is quite clean. The only issue with this place is the showers. They are shut off most of the time, for whatever reason.

Positive experience: It's ok, really great equipment, clean, and not busy in the morning, but if you work out in the morning before work, you're a little out of luck for most things. Can't shower or use any of the black card amenities (aside from the black card workout area) until there is staff. They do have wifi now, which is great and the staff are always lovely when I do talk to them :)

Positive experience: Great gym, new equipment, large area, no crowds. One huge minus - they turn off the shower after hours! I don't know how they explain it, but it's very annoying

Negative experience: The new branch contains several better equipment and services. The heart rate sensor grips and the handles of the treadmill that I used were sticky and not clean. I tried to use another treadmill, but unfortunately, it was the same. About four employees were standing at the front desk chatting when I entered at 10 am, I was expecting to receive a salutation, or someone may present what is new in this branch and the sections. However, no one even said good morning. The same happened when I left. To be honest, one young lady who appeared to be a trainee was very friendly and invited me to try the hydro massage bed. That was my experience on the first day.

Negative experience: Extremely rude staff. And management is even worst. I had to talk to the manager due to some issues her staff called her. And she started yelling at me that you called me at my off shift hours.But it was actual gym hours and her own staff called her. You gotta work on your client handling skills Steph.

My issue is with management. After a phone call and two emails, I have yet to hear anything back about some overcharges that my 17year old son had placed on his account. The practice to charge and then not reimburse is a fraudulent one and should be fixed. The person I spoke to was a manager and promised to escalate, but has not. Poor service. No follow-up. Fantastic experience: Just had my first workout with fit4less yesterday. Definitely all staff and gym goers seemed to stay true to the no judgement slogan. Gym was small but gets the job done for sure!

Positive experience: Pros- have almost all types of machines and equipments and located above superstore. Cons: do not have dedicated area for deadlifts. Only have smith machine for squats and decline press.

Negative experience: It’s a great gym but the staff are not enforcing members to clean the equipment after use. Very disappointing, otherwise this is a great small gym with everything you need. I’ll update with a 4 star once they start enforcing cleanliness.

Positive experience: It's a nice place for workout, very economical. You need to choose between different time slots, your preferred one might be occupied so book in advance.

Positive experience: Mini fit4less! Don't expect them to have all of the basic instruments. Employees are very nice. However, I wish they would not eat in front of me/us at least share your food if you're gonna eat junk food in front of us Potato chips is my one true weakness

Positive experience: I like it. Simple, easy gym experience. I find it is never very busy, and can always get on the machines I like. It's pretty bare bones in terms of equipment, but all I want for a gym experience is being able to go and work out and not have trouble getting a machine. So for that, it's perfect. Wish the men's locker room had a shower. Only complaint for me.
