Negative experience: For the most part, I had very few issues with this gym, except for my encounters with Trevor Portsmouth. He was very condescending to both staff and customers, and I believe he should undergo management training. I had two encounters with him where he approached me for no reason, which discouraged me from continuing to come to this gym. As a result, I will be looking for a new gym.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. The lady at the front desk knows my name and says good morning every day with a smile and awesome attitude. Positive vibes here. Awesome, well-kept equipment. Love going to yoga every week as well.

Negative experience: This was a great gym while I was a member there for several years. Very clean, excellent equipment and spacious shower/sauna area. They also had the best group of trainers and front desk employees in the city at the time, in my opinion. The only reason I stopped going years ago was because of a disagreement with the managers at the time who had falsely accused me of trying to interfere with operations. This wasn't true. The truth is I had asked a manager at another GYMVMT in the city if GYMVMT requires two weeks' notice for employees who decide to leave (I was only even asking on behalf of my significant other at the time who had decided to leave GYMVMT for another opportunity - she was an adored/loved trainer at GYMVMT and a perennial top 5 trainer at all GYMVMT's). I had also raised concerns about phone use in the locker room area as well as men using the women's only section because they identified as women (I have female friends & relatives who use this space who wanted to quit the gym because of it). Had I or other members been comfortable going directly to the managers at this gym with these concerns, we would have. But, on multiple occasions, they had proven to be unapproachable, vindictive and verbally abusive people when it came to questions and/or feedback from not only myself, but other male and female members with similar concerns. In fact, in case I am accused of lying or twisting facts, I still have the negative text messages sent to me from this particular manager two years ago. It's a shame they don't have a more open-door policy with regards to suggestions on improving the gym and/or culture, as so many other businesses have with their customers/members. As good as a business may be, a lack of good leadership and proper management will always bring down that business trying - especially if they are trying to make it in a highly competitive market. World Gym and Golds Gym in the NE have recurring issues with cleanliness, broken down machines, etc - but they have friendly, approachable management and staff who are always open to feedback/suggestions on improving the gym and take immediate action to correct them all. And THAT is the DIFFERENCE. For GYMVMT TransCanada, if they just simply tried to be more diplomatic and open to discussion, suggestions and feedback from loyal members, they would be miles ahead of their local competition. Time will tell - but I have hope this rating may one day improve from 2 to 5.

I could not recommend this place more or at least coming in for a tour. The amenities are clean and in great condition. Coming back to update about a year later! I still stand by what I said! The space and the staff are amazing! I look forward to my good morning from Kim at the front desk everyday, she just adds that extra light before I get into my early morning workout!

Negative experience: it’s a scam i do not recommend, during my cancellation process they were super confusing and gave vague answers to my questions they also lied, after i paid my early cancellation fee ( which was already a lot) and bi weekly fee they said i wouldn’t be charged but the same exact day i got charged. and when i texted them about it questioning why im being charged i got no answer. they didn’t even try to understand the situation from my point of view. it just not worth dealing with. definitely don’t recommend

Fantastic experience: Would highly recommend this location! It's great being greated by friendly staff such as Kim, and Selena and the list goes on! It's clean, stocked with weights and always functioning machines! The sauna is also a nice feature with your membership!

Fantastic experience: Since signing up about a month ago, Julian has been nothing but amazing! Going through the different plans he never pushed me to pick the most expensive but helped me figure out what plan would work best for me. After that when first starting at this gym you get 3 free session to learn some of the equipment. During these sessions Julian walked me through some short circuits which again was very helpful, he was patient, kind and helped me stay motivated (while doing the moves properly) and wanting to come back to the gym. If you ever need help or have questions Julian is always happy to answer them. If anyone is looking for a gym with amazing staff definitely check this gym out and ask for Julian he’s the best!

She’s seriously the best trainer, and I’ve had different ones in the past. She’s very kind, knowledgeable and makes me feel motivated to keep coming to the gym. I’ve seen a lot of progress since coming here. I’d recommend everyone to come here. It’s very spacious, a lot of equipment. They have a nice dry sauna, and the showers are clean. The rest of the staff are very friendly as well, always greeted warmly. But shoutout to Kat! She’s fire.

Positive experience: I had a disappointing experience with GYMVMT Fitness Club - Trans Canada Centre due to their deceptive handling of the "2 weeks free trial" offer. When I signed up, they assured me I wouldn’t be charged during the trial period. However, their billing policy operates on a weekly cycle ending on Fridays, which wasn’t explained clearly. As a result, even if you’re still within your 2 weeks, you might get charged depending on when you start. Let's say you start on a Thursday, the next Friday you'll get charged due to 2 Fridays passing. Hopefully the gym is more transparent with this. On the positive side, the gym amenities are good. The staff are great, one i particular stands out, Harjot is an exceptional staff. I ultimately chose another gym due to its better location for my commute. If you’re considering this gym, make sure to clarify their billing policies thoroughly to avoid surprises, other than that the gym is great.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this place. They never give you a copy of the contract and they lie to you. If you try to cancel, they keep charging more monthly payments to your account. The employees say that the manager never has time to address a complaint.

I prefer gymvmt strength equipment upstairs, and I like my price. I just wish I could have a buddy with me that doesn't cost (a perk).

When you finish your stress relieving workout, enjoy a fresh, clean, relaxing infrared sauna with top tier private shower stalls, body wash, and shampoo and conditioner included. If that's not enough, how about an Exclusive LADIES ONLY HER GYMVMT, in a separate private gym area so private we can't even take pictures inside! You'll have to come see the greatness with your own eyes! We got you!! You got this!!!

Fantastic experience: Although I only came for one day for the free trial, I have to appreciate how professional Julian was. Even if it was a free trial, he really spent time to understand my goals, and gave me some good tips. It didn't work out for me as I travel by transit and I usually don't pass by the area, but I'm giving a 10/10 for service and respect. Thanks Julian

Negative experience: The worst experience ever. So I want to do a drop in to do my workout . So I called them before on phone and asked about " do you guys do drop in? And the customer service guy told me " yes we do and it's $20". When I went there to do my drop in, the front desk girl took my details and told me to wait ,someone will come and see you. I clearly told that customer service girl that I just need a drop in not a membership. Still told to wait for long. Almost wait like 25 minutes long in the front. Later she herself called me to front and told me that you can pay $ 20 and do the drop in. I told her that " this is ilthe one I told you before, I just need drop in". Poor front desk experience , even the senior manager or male staff was there . He was literally listening to our conversation aside and didn't do anything. Simply standing and attended other customers. Worst experience ever. Never ever go back there. And very expensive drop in. Worst Worst . I thought I can tell my calagry buddies to join there, now I won't. I rather tell them to join world gym or golds gym.
