Expérience positive: Facilities inside are really amazing. Supportive staff as well and I really like going here. But the WiFi facility is very slow and it's required inside the building becuase your mobile network is weak there.

Expérience positive: The gym is great, and clean, and has tons of equipment. The only thing preventing a 5 star is that there are several people, whom some of which are employees, that take up multiple machines at a time, put weights in front of them to “reserve” the machine while they walk across the gym to use something else, and then walk back to continue using the machine they have “reserved”. They refuse to let you work in, or answer how long they will be. Lack of gym etiquette by employees is not a good look. Otherwise, it’s great.

Expérience négative: I registered for my membership online and the payment got processed and accepted; on the other hand the payment was declined and I was not informed. When I went to the gym for the first time to under the impress that I am ready to go. I got to know that the payment was not accepted due to some issues but the website never told me that and then now GoodLife wants to charge me $40 in charges without even working out for 1 day. This is the 2nd time I have had payment issues with GoodLife. And I waited 4 days for someone from management for a call. NO response yet. Someone needs to address this !!!!

Expérience fantastique: I was visiting from out of town and don’t have a GoodLife membership and the gym I am a member of doesn't have a location in Ptbo. Luckily the kindest people Haliey and Logan helped me out and got me a trail for the day. They were so considerate of what I was looking for, that was, getting my workout in and never pushed me to purchase a membership. I am so incredibly grateful for their help. I would highly recommend GoodLife, it was a clean environment with a lot of machines and the best staff!

Expérience fantastique: Extremely friendly staff at this location. They also have tanning beds which is nice. Good size gym and equipment. Lots of amazing personal trainers. Always great using a Goodlife!

Expérience fantastique: Soooooo......I walked into GL Chemong today, and what to my wondering eyes did appear - SIX upright bikes - and boy, did I cheer!! And Jenny was right there and caught my jaw dropping reaction - thanks for sharing that moment Jenny!! I am sooooo impressed, and grateful, that customers were indeed listened to and more bikes have been added. I really appreciate it and I know lots of us will!! So I've upgraded GL North to 5 stars lol - everything else about this gym is A+! It is a super friendly space to be, and the staff is just tremendous! Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen. And thank you to all staff, who day after day, welcome us with smiles and hellos. Your kindness and encouragement is much appreciated! Shout outs to Kelly and Jocelyn and Jenny and Nikhil and Chandra and Lisa and Jack, who regularly greet us with grins and then wave us off when we are going out the doors pooped, but feeling GOOD about our exercise! It really makes a difference for Scott and I! We're old.....we need the encouragement!! THANKS FOR THE NEW BIKES GOODLIFE!! Let's MOVE in the UPRIGHT direction!! Fabulous staff!! Everyone is so helpful and upbeat!! We love them!! This is a really good gym, but there's a problem with UPRIGHT bikes - there is only ONE on the floor!! I've asked several times over the last couple of years about getting more, but it hasn't happened. I'm hoping this changes, so I won't have to be so uptight about the UPRIGHT. And I'm sure the manager and staff would be happy about that too!! heehee So I'm reaching out to you, the GOOD people at GOODlife corporate admin/management - you know who you are lol - make a GOOD decision and get a few UPRIGHTS out on the floor at this gym, so we can say buh bye to the constant queue for the lone UPRIGHT! There's an abundance of recumbents - nobody likes them lolol!! One isn't GOOD enough anymore - we all pay our gym fees - Peterborough North needs more - we've been sitting tight for another UPRIGHT (or 3 or 4 or more) - please don't make us wait any longer. We won't need to fight if there's more than one UPRIGHT! I know you'll make a GOOD decision!! ♀️

Expérience négative: an effort should be made to keep holiday hours up to date. The goodlife app does not give hours and google states boxing day hours as being 07:00 today. Meanwhile, myself and others wait for a business to be open during its posted hours. but the machines are good... edit: when searched for on Facebook, or instagram, no posts. when searched on google, the goodlife webside immediately redirects from portage place to Monaghan and their posted hours. A piece of paper on the door would have been great, if it was posted xmas eve when I was there it would have been known to be closed. low effort.

Some of the old staff members are not friendly. And for the people who are sick, stay home! Stop infecting others!! There should be boards outside discouraging that.

Expérience fantastique: Amazing facility! Everything is clean and in great condition. But what was really surprising is how easy it was to put my membership on hold several times. And I just had to cancel the membership due to family circumstances and they didn’t put me through a lengthy process where I had to talk to several managers who tried to convince me to stay and then charge some ridiculous cancellation fee! Such a relief. I had to cancel GoodLife membership 10 years ago and it was a nightmare. I’m so glad they changed how they do things. Or maybe it’s just this location that is so great! I’ll be back for sure!

Expérience fantastique: Love this place. The staff was very helpful and friendly (shout out to Chandra who also believes that you shouldnt skip leg day on any day!). Has the largest selection of machines I've ever seen. And thank goodness they have the LifeFitness brand for their recumbent bicycles (all my PRs back at home in PEI are done on the same bicycle). I rode 12.3 miles in 30 mins today which is a PR on this brand.

Expérience fantastique: I came in for a trial, just to see what the gym was like. I was blown away by the amount of equipment. The organization of all the machines (although being my first time in this gym) made finding everything really easy. The staff were exceptional one member Chandra, who helped with some technique and coordination helped out when I asked for some information on how to use some of the machines that were unknown to me. If your looking for a gym to join with exceptional staff and great equipment. I recommend this one.

Expérience négative: Good life needs to return to regular hours. Members have been paying for services that they haven’t received for far too long. There is no reason the gym hours should be so short.
Expérience positive: This is a great gym, staff is friendly, would’ve given 5 starts but the hours are advertised as 24 hour on the building and this is not true! This gym should be 24 hour please change back!

Expérience positive: I absolutely love this gym! But, I might have to switch to another gym...Them only being open till 6 on weekends is ridicules, I try to get into the gym 5 days a week but its really difficult when they are only open till 6 on weekends and I work and live an hour away. Also adding on to that a lot of the time the paper towels and sanitizer needs to be refilled.
Expérience positive: I have been a member with goodlife since before this location became a goodlife gym. The staff have always been amazing and the facility has great equipment and amanties. Over the past 2 years we have all delt with the closures, capacity limits but most importantly this ridiculous reduction in hours of service. All members have continued to pay the same price for their membership but aren't receiving the same quality of service! The most asked question at the front desk of my local club is when will goodlife return to 24 hours. It's time for the gym operating hours to return to normal. At the very least they should be open from 4am till 2am Monday to Friday and midnight Saturday, Sunday. This would allow for the cleaning crew to come in, do their job and minimally impact those working shifts that don't work around the current hours. Sincerely, A frustrated member!
Hi Zachary, we appreciate your support and patience over the pandemic concerning all the changes we have experienced. We ask that you speak with the club manager regarding the hours, as they would be able to look into that further for you.
Expérience positive: Great Large gym facility. Recently fully renovated in 2019. Much larger size and layout of equipment and much better. Complete with a full gymnasium and Cycling studio area, and also a small women's only gym upsyairs. Lot's of treadmills, stairmasters, bikes and elipiticals. Two large weight machine areas, and a complete free weight area with weights from 5lbs up to 150lbs. Large changeroom area with private showers, sauna, steam room and massage bed. Gym is usually kept clean, and is doing better in getting broken machines back working in a timely manner. Hours are also back to 24 hours, with no restrictions.

Unfortunately, now that my membership fees have GONE UP I’m starting to wonder what I’m paying for. Child-minding is no longer available, they still haven’t gone back to 24 hours and now 4 days without hot water in the showers? All of this has led to me not being able to make it to the gym as often. Am I getting my moneys worth, GoodLife???

Expérience fantastique: Love the gym and the staff but the 24 hours sign on the front is misleading. It's time to go back to actual 24hours. Why charge people full pop for half the time. If this is not fixed by April 1st I'll be leaving. The gym only opens at 6am and that does not give me enough time because I need to home by 7. Time to join the rest of the gyms in Ontario that say their 24 hour and really open for 24 members. That's if the members are what you actually care about. On a very positive note this gym is the kept very clean. The front staff run around all day cleaning. It's amazing. It will be hard to say goodbye.

Expérience négative: After potentially coming in contact with someone who has covid at your establishment, I had to find out myself by calling public health, after word of mouth told me to get tested. I could have infected many people not knowing. Maybe start screening temperatures like other gyms too.

Expérience négative: We pay a lot of money for a goodlife membership to have a clean and well maintained gym. Not so with this goodlife gym. Tiles are falling off in the mens washroom, theres mould near the showers on the tile, some showersare always out of service (one doesnt have a shower head), recently only 2/8 showers were in service, soap dispensers are often empty...really ratty gym

Expérience positive: I actually love the gym itself - great facility! However, the people are what make it not so fantastic.. the trainers occupy more than one machine in the gym at a time, during busy times, and they could be across the room. It’s makes it that much harder to get a workout in on top of how busy the gym can get. Also.... a lot of the older generation have a really gross staring problem and makes it uncomfortable.

Expérience fantastique: I love this gym! It’s gigantic, with great unique areas to work out. The staff are extremely friendly, particularly at the front desk (especially Lisa!!). I regularly drop my three kids in Jump, and the staff and facility are amazing as well. The trainers are very approachable and, a few in particular, really model the right lifestyle to be in top shape as they regularly workout there as well.

Lots of equipment and everything is set up well so it's easy to navigate. Changerooms are beautiful with a good amount of space too. Will be returning on my next trip to Peterborough!

Expérience fantastique: The staff is always friendly and caring and helpful. It is a excellent environment to workout in. They have much better showers that the Peterborough Spot & Wellness Centre and the YMCA. They have very good locker rooms. I will highly recommend Goodlife fitness to anyone.
Expérience fantastique: Staff is very friendly, the personal trainers are great, and the equipment is well maintained. Lots of space and available equipment even when it's busy. Mornings and afternoons are my favorite times to workout here.

Expérience négative: Hello there! About a year ago, I had a friend refer me to Goodlife because she was getting a membership there as well. I am still receiving calls about 3 times a week from a girl named Jamie (I think). For some crazy reason, she thinks that I'd like a membership but I don't. If you could please take me off your calling list that would be much appreciated. I am not interested in a membership at this time. I tried to email you guys but your address isn't valid :P
Expérience négative: We have always been very content with the Jump program. Recently they have had a staff change.. Last time I brought my kids in, our reception was a little cold. We were not greeted at all.... I had to confirm that they even saw my children in there. Same when I picked up.. not the warmest reception. Disappointed! We miss Hailey!

Expérience positive: Changed my rating because the gym is going down hill a little. At least once a month it seems the hot water in the men's change room isn't working, or the water fountains are dispensing warm water only. The Kleenex in the change room is almost non existent most days. I hate complaining about these "first world problems" but when you're paying $80/ month in total you kind of expect things to be better . Most of the gym facilities are fantastic, there's just a few things they need to work on .
Expérience positive: The atmosphere in the gym is great. Lots of fun and equipment to try out! Unfortunately the membership is very costly and while there a fire alarm was pulled. Staff were very responsible and made sure that everyone left the building before they did, which could have put their own lives at risk had it have been a real fire

The gym was very clean which is quite surprising for a gym that big and all the machines were in good condition. Wishing I had this gym back home. Definitely recommend. Friendly staff as well. Only thing, it would be more convenient if they had WiFi for music and such. Also, they have a women’s only section and two studio rooms. Great gym.
