Caledonia Studio of Dance

Fantastic experience: Caledonia Studio of Dance has been a truly transformative experience for my daughter. Over the years, I've watched her grow not only in her dance skills but also in her confidence and overall performance level. The instructors are incredibly talented and passionate about their craft, but what sets this studio apart is their approach to teaching. This studio does not focus solely on winning competitions. The teachers at Caledonia Studio of Dance prioritize the dancer's growth as a whole. They work hard to instill discipline, resilience, and a love for dance in every student. They emphasize teamwork, respect, and personal development, enduring that each dancer leaves class not just as a better performer but also as a better person. I've watched my daughter grow under their guidance. This studio is truly about more than just dance, it's about creating well rounded individuals who carry these lessons far beyond the stage. I couldn't recommend this studio more.

Positive experience: I know my children enjoy the classes but as a parent, the studio is not very accommodating for viewing. If all the chairs are taken, there is no suitable place to stand without imposing on somebody elses view. It would be great it they removed the massive coffee table to accomodate more seating and installed additional monitors for each studio in the viewing room. It's not fair that some parents take up the available spots, week after week and those on a schedule have to sit in their vehicles or outside waiting on the class to end.

Fantastic experience: Inclusive, fun, hardworking and dedication is what keeps us coming back. Watching this studio grow from the little space above the Credit Union to this great facility has been wonderful. The team of teachers and assistants that you inspire makes dance one of the favorite nights in our home. Thanks to the office staff for the weekly updates and reminders to keep a busy Mom on schedule with important dates and events. You survived the covid shut downs and came out stronger

Fantastic experience: It’s my favourite place to be. Large clean space room for everyone lobby with TV to watch the dances, the best teachers , amazing friendships the list goes on.

Negative experience: This place is ran by children. It is super cheap, therefore tempting, however proved to be a waste of money anyways. This is a review of the recreation classes, not competition. The classes are 30 minutes long, they usually commence late then end early with lining up for a sticker, at least half of the class they stretch and chat. When do they actually practice? For 5-10 minutes. Absolutely nothing was learned after months of classes. Communication is minimal and last minute, if the studio decides to communicate anything at all. The place is too small for parents to wait during classes. It’s a disorganized mess. This years Christmas recital was a cash grab. It was very disorganized, unsafe, and embarrassing. The staff couldn’t handle anything during the recital. There were children crying behind the scenes and staff ignoring them. There were at least 800 people present who purchased tickets but not enough seats so the audience was told to place children on laps (who needed regular priced tickets, as I was told by staff when I purchased them). There was little communication for dancers to know when to go backstage, confusion in the audience the entire time, then these small children were expected to know when and how to get on stage, there were no programs for the shows (neither paper nor electronic), making it very difficult to follow… there was a complete disregard for children’s safety and general well-being after telling parents to leave their children behind the scenes with staff. I’m so glad I stayed behind the scenes. If the owner and staff couldn’t handle it, which they so obviously could not, they shouldn’t have sold that many tickets. The studio offered to allow my child to transfer to a class with older children, the offer was declined.

Fantastic experience: My daughter has been going here for dance lessons for over 5 years and absolutely loves it. Her teachers have always been fantastic and she has developed sone great friendships with other dancers.

Fantastic experience: My daughter and son both go to Caledonia Studio of Dance. They love their teachers and are quick to show off their new moves to us at home. Dance is such a great confidence booster and we couldn’t be more pleased with our experience so far. They have lots of themed activities and the end of the year recital is amazing. I was told about this studio through a friend who said they were the best in our area, it’s true and we are so thankful
