Negative experience: I must express my utmost disappointment and frustration with Snap Fitness Winnipeg, as this establishment epitomizes the very worst of what a gym experience can be. From the moment you step through the doors, it becomes glaringly evident that the management is not only incompetent but shockingly indifferent to the needs and concerns of their members. The staff, who should ideally be approachable and professional, are instead outright rude, dismissive, and seem to lack even the most basic understanding of customer service. Interactions are marred by a condescending attitude, as though they are doing you a favor by even acknowledging your presence. The members themselves often mirror this hostile demeanor, creating an environment that is far from welcoming or inclusive—an utterly toxic atmosphere that defeats the purpose of a fitness community. The gym’s equipment is either outdated, poorly maintained, or outright unavailable due to negligent upkeep, and complaints are met with apathy or outright hostility. Cleanliness, too, appears to be a foreign concept here, with the facility often in a state of disarray and a hygiene standard that leaves much to be desired. It is baffling how such an establishment continues to operate with this level of disregard for its patrons. For anyone seeking a positive, motivating, or even remotely respectful fitness environment, I strongly urge you to look elsewhere. Snap Fitness Winnipeg is, without question, the absolute nadir of fitness centers, a place so irreparably mismanaged that it’s an insult to paying customers. I cannot overstate how deeply unsatisfactory my experience has been—this gym is the very definition of abysmal. This review is formal yet highly critical and emphasizes your dissatisfaction. Positive experience: Got a very good deal for black Friday and the gym has almost everything I need, some equipment could get a bit of love but very much usable. It's rarely too busy but can get tight at times. The employee's are the absolute best and make me look forward to go to gym <3

Fantastic experience: Edit May 19, 2024: A new staff member has since joined and the gym has been much cleaner since. Owner was quick to address the issue. I started coming here in October of 2022. Since then the place has gone downhill. Equipment has been neglected to be upgraded. Equipment looks aged. The gym is quite dirty. Dust everywhere and walls could use some fresh paint. The facility would benefit from a routine cleaning service. Management is quick to respond to issues and in general is friendly. I mostly come here as it’s close to where I live. With my work discount I am charged $44; with my work discount at GoodLife it would be $30. If I didn’t live close I would choose GoodLife.

Positive experience: I'm interested, because it's local and convenient. But the price of the monthly package really threw me away. If they had promotions or discounted monthly rates I'd love to join!

Positive experience: For a small gym it’s decent. It does get hot and stuffy at times especially when you can feel the heater air. Good place to go if you are needing a gym that’s simple and don’t care about top of the line equipment.

Fantastic experience: I have been a proud member of Snap Fitness for some time now, and I can't say enough good things about this gym. It's a fantastic local fitness center that has everything I need for my workouts. What truly sets it apart is the dedicated owner who takes immense pride in their business. They keep the gym clean, well-maintained, and the atmosphere is always welcoming. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: This is the hottest/most humid gym I’ve been to in the city, their airflow is awful. Caitlin P was very dishonest about their cancellation policy. They offer no way for you to cancel while outside city limits & I had to leave suddenly due to family illness.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for a while now. It’s open 24/7, which is super convenient! It’s even improved over the years with the new ownership. He seems to upgrade machines often and bring in the new best! Always a clean space and the staff are very friendly and helpful. Definitely worth the membership!

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for 5 months now and like this gym very much, going here is something I look forward to. It's very clean, the staff are approachable and nice, and there's a great variety of equipment. I especially like the hack squat machine, such a great option to not let a shoulder injury prevent you from doing weighted squats. The location is so convenient, especially if you like to go for a walk before or after (gateway trail, chief peguis path, and Bunn's Creek nearby). The people who go here are courteous and respectful.

Positive experience: Paying $40 monthly or $15 drop-in for a gym membership isn't bad. They have the right equipment. Staff hella respectful and helpful.

Positive experience: I've been going to this gym for 3 months now. The place is always very clean (5/5) The equipment is nice, but one machine has a cable that is exposed, and needs some repair, and is missing the rope attachment. (4/5 Overall). The amount of equipment available is quite good. Lots of free weights, and a nice assortment of machines. I've seen that others have posted how they feel the gym is welcoming and enjoyable to come to. This has not been my experience so far. If there was another facility within walking distance, I would definitely be looking into another place. But since this is close to my home, I will likely continue to come here.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, nice layout, the equipment is in good shape, and it's open 24/7. The staff are well suited to their positions with both personal trainer education, and many of them have completed Kinesiology degrees through the University of Winnipeg, and the University of Manitoba. These are the people whom I want to be trained by to reach my fitness goals. I would highly recommend Snap Fitness Kildonan to everyone whom desires to achieve, and surpass their fitness goals. The members are very friendly as well.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for a month now and I am really enjoying it. They are following all Covid-19 protocols, so I feel safe. I don't see the staff because I go in the early mornings, but the other gym attendees are friendly and not at all intimidating for someone like me who is on the chubby side. I know that if I ever had a question or needed help that other gym users would be there to assist me and that is a good feeling. It's a great location for me and they have all the equipment I need.

Fantastic experience: I recently switched over to this gym due to its prime location. I came from a much bigger gym and was prepared to make some significant sacrifices in terms of equipment. I was pleasantly surprised because although the facility is not huge, it is always well organized and has all the equipment you'll ever need. The staff and personal trainers are super friendly and eager to help you out. Overall the friendly atmosphere and jamin playlists make for an enjoyable workout every time!

Fantastic experience: To say this gym is just “good” is an insult! This gym has been such a godsend, not only based on location for me personally, but also how they’re maximizing their resources, space, and handling the cleanliness during this pandemic. The head honcho, Kurt, is a beautiful specimen of a man who was so friendly, welcoming, and eager to help me get started with my fitness journey. The staff hours are great! The other members are second to best(Kurt) as well. Respecting space/boundaries and everyone working together to keep the gym clean and sanitary. Fantastic experience: Just started at this gym in February and it is one of the best gyms i've been to over the years! Although it is a smaller location it has every single machine or piece of equipment you may need. It is always clean and the members are all respectful. Highly recommend if you are looking for a lifestyle change!

He cares about the gym and the people, it’s a family type atmosphere, I felt comfortable having my teenage daughter join me at this gym. Since the change there has been a clear difference in the overall feeling of the gym including: personable approach, cleanliness, sensical layout, new equipment, and not the mention the killer new Reno’s. It’s nice being able to see such pride in ownership, but also being able to engage with the owner on the odd occasion which is something I had never experienced before.
