Positive experience: Decent gym, plenty of cardio machines, it’s kept clean and the staff is friendly. Lots of isolating workout machines.. overall great gym. The change Rooms could use a few more benches though

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, greeting you upon entering and leaving. Equipment are always in working order. Tanning, massage beds, change rooms and over all gym is very VERY clean!

Fantastic experience: Good spot to go exercise! But it's the only one 'near' Langdon and still a 20 min drive to get there. They have so many treadmills and other cardio equipment but maybe should invest in more weight training equipment, including bench/squat presses! They only have about 5 or six and they're always busy!! Could also expand on their free weights area and bump uo the number of exercise matts. When the place is busy, they run out of matts! Also, men's dressing room could use more seating benches.

Fantastic experience: Very nice space, clean, lots of equipment and the massage chairs and Hydromassage are amazing.

Positive experience: If they want you to remove your outdoor shoes, at least keep the floors clean. Also, no one sends to understand how the 30 minute workout area, works.

Negative experience: Smith machines are all bolted down and not straight with wall or ceiling. Can't stand this.

Fantastic experience: Overall, I’ve had an exceptional experience at this fitness center. The facility is top-notch, offering a full range of high-quality equipment that supports every aspect of fitness, from cardio to strength training. The front desk staff is professional and welcoming, creating a positive atmosphere the moment you step in. Nadim, in particular, delivers exceptional customer service, going out of his way to make every member feel valued and supported. However, I did encounter one issue I’d like to provide feedback on. As a Black card member, I was informed of a discount on cooler drinks, but when I purchased Muscle Milk protein, it wasn’t included in this discount, which was disappointing. It would be great to see consistency in these offerings to ensure an equitable and inclusive experience for all members.

Negative experience: weird policy on how we cannot talk over call even with headphones, Lady will literally walk in to the area to keep an eye on you. WTH

Fantastic experience: Planet fitness is a great place to workout. The staff are friendly. Albert the trainer is highly recommended. His classes are amazing.He is very knowledgeable and transfers great positivity and energy during the workouts. It is great working out with him. I would definitely suggest attending his classes.The gym has lot of equipments . The app is very user friendly which has a great deal of information about the workouts which is useful during the workouts. Overall a very good experience.

Fantastic experience: my experience at planet fitness has been exceptional. The facility is immaculate and well-maintained, with a diverse range of equipment catering to all fitness levels. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, always ready to offer guidance or answer questions.However its gets really crowded during 4-8pm

Positive experience: I'd give you a higher rating if the people who go when it's very busy not very many people wipe the goddam machines down and there's no one telling them to. The staff are just standing chatting at the counter. I'll stick to going when there are only one bar of people according to the app

Negative experience: I wanted to downgrade my monthly subscription but was told I would have to pay for joining fees because they are a business and have to make money. Upgrade is free but not downgrading. Seems like the $40 annual fees charged on the first day of joining wasn’t enough

Negative experience: Make sure you read the fine print I cancel my gym pass and they still took money from me with them telling me after they took my money that I had to cancel before a certain date witch I didn’t know so now I am with out money because of them not telling me the hole deal so be careful what you sign up for I will not be going back what so ever

Fantastic experience: I’ve been attending the classes at Planet Fitness, and I can't say enough good things about the trainer! Albert is an incredible motivator, always pushing me to do my best while keeping the energy in the room positive and encouraging. His helpfulness and dedication to each person's progress are truly appreciated. His positive aura makes every session something to look forward to. Highly recommend these classes to anyone looking to stay fit and inspired!

Fantastic experience: Love the energy and equipment in this gym. Staffs are friendly and helpful. They have massage chairs and tan room which is awesome experience after the workout. I’ve been working out in this gym for a fews months now. And I’m not planning to change to any other gym nearby. You can sign up the VIP card for 30$ a month. Its like 1$per day. And it is worth the money.

Positive experience: I've been coming here for about 9 months and the cleanliness has been in a steady decline ever since it opened. The showers can get absolutely disgusting, it's like they only get cleaned once every couple weeks. The workers are friendly and the gym does the job, but they need a cleaning staff because it can get quite gross throughout and the cleaning stations are often empty, even first thing in the morning.

Fantastic experience: Can I sign up if I don't have a credit card?

Fantastic experience: Oops! Wrong location in Calgary. Great Planet Fitness! However, this is the first location I've visited that doesn't have hand sanitizers mounted on the walls throughout the gym. Please don't skimp on sanitation! The trainer “Sina” is very good with all the clients. He asked questions about my workout and provided good feedback. He looks me straight in the eyes and greets me every time I visit. I just a passerby traveling from Los Angeles to here!

Negative experience: I Try to cancel my account but they told me I owed close to 400 how is that possible if it's month to month the fact that I'm not on a contract and I haven't been there for over a year is stupid

Negative experience: Planet fitness is a scam. They told me I have 3 months to cancel and not charge the annual fee. But they charged me annual fee as I wanted to cancel since I moved out from a close by location. Bethany and the regional manager, have no experience in customer service, very unprofessional and yet greedy. They won’t refund my annual fee that they charged even it’s within 2 months. They will take your money with a smile when you sign up and when you cancel you will be disrespected. What a shame on their behalf.

Negative experience: This "teenagers without free for summer" thing is the dumbest thing I've ever experienced. The teenagers that are there are not using the equipment in the correct way, which is 1)hurting their bodies and 2) wrecking the equipment. They had a third set of dumbells at this location but apparently decided to get rid of them just before inviting a hundred other people into the gym for free..... so now you can't even find the proper equipment to work out with. Nothing is even getting cleaned properly. Will likely cancel my membership on Sunday.

Negative experience: Overall great gym to workout but the manager was pretty rude to me one time. I did not know the 30 minute place has a light and he talked to me in a very rude manner about that.

Allowing men to change in women's change rooms while a 12 year old girl cowers in the corner wearing nothing but a towel. That girl will likely carry that trauma for life, I can't believe you guys are still open

Fantastic experience: I love it! The tanning beds and modern gusta massage chairs the machines in the gym keep the count for you. Friendly staff and the place is always clean, can't go wrong, and the price is hard to beat!

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for about a year and have had several training sessions with Albert. He is very knowledgeable, takes his time to address concerns or injuries and makes adjustments in each person’s training during classes. The only complaint is that the training isn't offered 5 days a week.

Fantastic experience: They have enough equipments for anyone want to be in shape but not for competitive body or something. Also, usually it’s clean and weights are on their proper place.

Positive experience: I like this gym but it has issues. It’s is not being cleaned like they used to. Floors and machines aren’t being cleaned, there is a lot of dust along the walls and under the machines. When you go in the morning you have to search for paper towel to wipe with. When you go in the afternoon the staff is on their cellphones or talking to each other.

Fantastic experience: A shout out to trainer, Albert. He is very knowledgeable, takes his time to address any needs, concerns or injuries and makes adjustments in each person’s training during classes. His methods of training are very effective and pushes you to your ability. He is very friendly, humble, caring, accommodating, and a skilled trainer at all levels. If you have an opportunity to join his classes, do it, you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience: I've been to all locations in Calgary and this location is by far the most cleanest thanks to your employee Mas. He gave a great impression and cleaned the red light machine before I used it. I was impressed. Other locations are not sanitized and are filled with other people's hair. Recommend this location.

Negative experience: 2 day before visited there for membership but I can't because it's not 24/7. I am trucker I don't have fixed time . Please request to you make 24/7 asap all location

Positive experience: This is a Gem Gym. Excellent value. Variety of exercise machines. Friendly and helpful staff. Convenient location and hours. I specially enjoy training with trainer Albert who shows me the ropes. Wish there were a sauna.

Fantastic experience: I'm a new member at this gym. I love the space and the atmosphere thus far. I had two sessions with Albert and I absolutely loved them. I will be signing up for classes every week and bringing my partner to the gym with me during all my visits. I highly recommend checking this gym out.

Positive experience: For the price, it's actually pretty cheap! I was gonna go for the basic membership but i thought, I should try the black card first. I must say, if you don't plan on using other planet fitness gym. I think the $15 is such a good deal. The other location is just dirty and feels really off. Idk. I tried but, I kept coming back here. So, If you wanna try PF. This place is the best we have in the City. This place is for newbies and entering intermediate level. If you're above that, you might wanna go somewhere else instead. Other than that. This place is perfecto!

Super attentive staff, very clean facilities and equipment, and unbelievable value when signing up as a black member. I have a membership with a corporate club, and other than access to towel service, PF far exceeds.

Positive experience: I normally don't come to gym but there's been some occasions great staff trainers and on the ball on trying to help you improve your experience unfortunately the people the go there aren't as friendly ,but if you just go and do what you and get home you'll like it.

Negative experience: Update- December 12 2024 After using this location intermittently for nearly 10 months, I am very dissatisfied with the lack of response from management regarding my repeated requests to keep the fans at a lower setting. It remains uncomfortably cold. Additionally, the staff frequently congregates at the reception desk instead of monitoring the floor, where members often occupy machines for extended periods while playing on their phones. This evening, one member spent nearly an hour on a video call with the speaker on, even taking the call into the washroom. I now have to drive to other locations to get a proper workout within a reasonable time. I plan to cancel my membership soon due to these ongoing and unresolved issues. It's very sad and frustrating.

Negative experience: The timings of this gym are ridiculous. It closes at 7pm during weekends. Although they have staff at the front, they don’t seem to wipe down the machines or replace the cleaning wipes when they are out. They expect people to wipe down machines after use, which most of them seldom do.

Fantastic experience: Friendly staff, men's change room is always clean. Only thing would be nice if it was open till 11pm on weekends.

Negative experience: I started going to the gym for a few months and then decided I needed to cancel my membership. I canceled in September Plenty of time before my membership payment was due , I then received a call in October from the manager saying I did not cancel my membership because apparently you have to go in to cancel you can't just call . And I needed to clear my bill before he could cancel. The manager was supposed to call me back the next day regarding this and here i am still waiting for him to call me back . I then received a call last night saying if I don't pay my bill its going to collections. I canceled my membership months ago and they are still trying to take money from account . Not impressed at all

Fantastic experience: I really like the aura and the place is affordable too. The top membership blackcard can go as low as 25.99 a month and they have nice amenities. The bad part is that they don't have any free barbells. It's all Smith machines. Either than that, all equipment are new and doesn't smell bad. I really like it for a general workout since I don't necessarily do powerlifting or bodybuilding. Lots of cardio machines as well

Fantastic experience: Great time and large fitness center clean and friendly staff

Positive experience: I love this gym and the vibe of the gym - the staff is pretty amazing as well. I have been to different gyms in Calgary and this one by far is the cleanest and has most amazing equipment and all of the equipment functions properly and is well maintained. Not sure though what happened this morning (Nov6th - Monday) - no one showed up to open the gym. Me alongside 12 other people waited from 5-6am outside the gym for it to open. Not the best start of my week and others - while talking to other members of the gym I found out they had to motivate themselves to be at the gym in the morning to have a great start of the week!! Hopefully the gym management has a good explanation for what happened this morning. I am pretty disappointed personally.

Fantastic experience: November 6th 2023. Currently sitting at the parking lot with a few gym goers. The gym is suppose to be open, unsure why it's still closed... overall nice location to have the gym, always a clean space, tons of equipment and nice workers . 6:09am - gym open, seems to be a scheduling issue haha that can happen ! Wonderful gym ! December 22, 2023 approx. 1:00pm I was leaving the gym and noticed that my boots weren't on the shoe rack near the entrance. I spoke to one of the staffers and offered to make a report about the incident and view cameras but I refused. Its black boots with grey fur interior. I just hope this was a mix up and someone took them on accident ! If they turn up please contact me directly. Ill bring my outdoor shoes with me next time haha.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym and the people that work there Albert is a young man with a smile That’s contagious and a personality that could win any personality contest, such wisdom in a young man is rare ❤️ and Shiloh is always hard at work cleaning the place and has a good sense of humour. This is a great gym for cardio vascular training, core, and endurance. Positive experience: Very clean and well maintained! I love the membership prices planet fitness offers and they are definitely the most affordable and welcoming gym for newbies. The space is large and dedicated machines are grouped together by muscle groups which makes them easy to find and easy to focus on specific muscle groups without wandering around the gym to find your next machine. The only downside is the lack of space available to do basic weights, stretching, or body weight exercises unless you can claim a bench by the weight lifting area or stand around the functional training area away from any mirrors.

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of a few different gyms, and I really like this one. Pros: low membership cost; new equipment; friendly staff that get to know your name; very clean and well-maintained; tons of cardio equipment (no waiting); Black Card perks are fantastic; good mix of young and older members, both beginners and experienced. Cons: only PF in Calgary; need more benches in the locker room; body wash in the showers isn't refilled promptly; should have disinfectant wipes instead of paper towels and spray bottles; a discount for Seniors would be welcome. Sure, you can join a gym that has more amenities...at 3 times the Black Card price...or a similarly priced gym that isn't as clean, has poorly maintained equipment, and limited perks. IMO, this is the best value among gyms in Calgary right now.

Negative experience: First tried to get a tour but was refused one because I didn't have my drivers license, so went back and had a tour and then when I tried to sign up online was asked for a credit card AND banking but doesn't accept debit Visa for credit card. To many hoops for me, was able to join Gymvmt online without all this nonsense.

Fantastic experience: Started a week ago. Love this gym so far. They can be a little bit to concerned, but that is good for most people. Not myself but most people would appreciate it

If I can make a request it would be to have a place to put our stuff in the shower where it won't be soaked from the water and to avoid it being stolen while we shower. A guy can dream. Right? Thank you for the great gym. When does planet fitness build à gym in Québec? It's the only place in north america without one.

Negative experience: I would like to start out by saying this I have been goin for over a year and have watched it get worse. Staff is always! Late or don’t show up to even open the doors. The place is dirty and the staff stands around in their phones. Horrible gym wouldn’t recommend it to anyone!!!

Fantastic experience: It's the only one in the Calgary area but definitely a good one and you can tell it's nice and new. The equipment is laid out really well and there's enough room to get around the equipment and spaced out pretty good. All the equipment was clean and saw other members cleaning up after themselves too. The locker rooms are pretty spacious and the showers were clean and and good working order when I was there. Water pressure was a little on the light side but still a good experience. Also I have to give a shout out to Shiloh who's one of the workers there. I've been traveling across Canada for the last 5 weeks and occasionally would have issues signing in with my member ID. A few places just let me on in or set me up with the hydro massage chairs without getting it corrected. However he took an extra minute to help me out and come to find out my member ID was updated to my phone number since I was in Canada in the app. It was a very easy fix but he actually took the time to help me and make sure everything was done correctly especially since I've been in about 15+ gyms starting in New Brunswick heading west.
