Negative experience: Place is a scam. Says 15$ a month but will happily steal an extra 45$ if you're 1$ short and no one will help you get that back. Let's not forget if you'd like to cancel you're membership they take an additional 50! So thank you fit4less for stealing roughly 100$ from my account this month

Fantastic experience: affordable and well equipped gym

Negative experience: Charged me a "1-year anniversary payment" of $70 and 2 payments after I cancelled because "the membership is still active for 30 days". Decent gym, affordable, bad experience cancelling.

Negative experience: The manager fit shamed us and spreads gymtimidation to those who put in work and lift heavy

Positive experience: Basic gym with loads of equipment, some bonus amenities. Very clean and nice atmosphere. Machines could be organized a little better and more papertowel/spray bins spread out inside the facility. Otherwise it was exactly what I wanted, barebones with some perks for a good price while being open 24/7.

Negative experience: I went into the gym to cancel my membership a couple of months ago with my partner, I noticed that I was still being charged when I looked at my bank statements months later (I knew I would get charged for the following months fee, no problem) .. I called the location and explained the situation and was told the manager would give me a call back. The manager called me today and before I could re-explain she told me she has already read the note that was left by the staff and there was nothing she can do and that I could be lying about this situation. She agreed that my partners account was cancelled, I explained who it was that “canceled” my account along side my partners and asked if there is absolutely anything that could be done seeing as this was their mistake, I was talked over and was told I could be a liar, and that there is nothing she will be doing. The manager would not even cancel my account without charging my another months fee … This is a horrible gym, it’s small and unsanitary (reason for switching to a different gym) and the staff are extremely rude and unhelpful.

Negative experience: This place didn’t have any Black Membership specific area. No water dispenser is available in the Gym. A gym which charges $15.81 CAD for premium membership shamelessly with no adequate water supply & black membership area. The Host asked us to fetch water from Wash basin in Men’s washroom, if needed. I would never go to this Gym. There is nearest gym called GOODLIFE FITNESS which is much better than what this Fit4Less offers. Highly disappointed.

Negative experience: Website doesn't work for sign ups, nobody ever there to talk to in person. They clearly don't want my business. Ridiculous.

Positive experience: atmosphere is very good. Looks like a disco, even though it's not related to the place at all. When u go in person it feels as if your walking somewhere like a upscale gym or in a paradisiac resort. Nice looking spot.

Fantastic experience: It's a nice little gym. It's kept clean, has good air circulation, showers, and usually not very busy.

Negative experience: The worse gym in Peterborough. Lie about their facilities; they advertise weights they don’t have. Equipment is harder than the cement on the ground oh and also If you forget your gym membership card expect to pay 22$

Positive experience: So been back at fit for less for a few weeks now. Work construction so useally take the summers off. Still a clean gym with very nice staff. The only downsides I find is I notice the gym equipment does take a while to get fixed.hounestly I think my biggest issue is a fountian/ water bottle fill station. I've been going here for a while and hounestly most gyms have a few of these around . I think its something the gym is lacking and hounestly pretty sad that it dosnt have one. I shouldn't have to go to the washroom to get a sip of water. Otherwise good gym and great value

Fantastic experience: I am living in Peterborough for a month and needed a gym to visit while in town. I signed up for my membership online and say there was an annual fee of $49.99 and the lower tier membership which is $7.99 bi-weekly. For a one month membership the cost would be $66 plus tax. I wish they had an option for a one month membership and split up the annual fee. The signing up was easy and I was able to get my membership card at the kiosk. Once you swipe your card to enter you have 3 seconds and you don’t get another try. Remember you must give 30 days notice to cancel. There was a wide variety of equipment and is very similar to Planet Fitness

Positive experience: Decent gym for the price. All the staff members are pleasant, except one who is always in an unpleasant mood. This member actually makes it uncomfortable there. It is always clean. There is a scent policy, but I wish there was a bad odour policy as well. I've had to change my routine on a few occasions due to a group that showed up with terrible body odour. If you find the right time, then it isn't very busy. I found my timings, but I'll have to keep it a secret 2023-Jul-01: The staffing seems to have changed, everyone is very pleasant and welcoming. A smile goes a long way. I've changed my rating from 3 to 4 stars. The internal colour scheme of the gym is a little too grey making the place a little gloomy, and not vibrant and energetic.

The equipment is always clean which makes working out easier. The staff is excellent as well. When I was signing up, I was provided with excellent customer service from an associate named Nick. Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member at the Peterborough Fit4Less for a little over a year now. Amazingly low prices for anyone on a budget like myself. They have 2 of most machines so it’s usually pretty easy to find an open machine that you’re looking for. The staff at the front counter always smile at me when I come in which is just a small but friendly gesture. I also love that it’s 24 hours and open holidays!

Positive experience: A great gym for people who need a cheaper option and are just getting started. I currently go to this location and have for a long time and while it’s usually great I just couldn’t give it a full 5 stars… There’s a pretty good selection of equipment but lately there seems to be things that are constantly broken. They will also be broken for weeks at a time and it’s a bit frustrating, especially when it’s busy. ( I guess that’s what you get when you pay for a cheaper gym but it’s still a pain ) Other than that it’s usually a pretty decent experience, rates are low & staff are friendly + helpful☺️

Negative experience: I am hoping management gets back to me .. i have been a member.. for awhile now.. and i am most disappointed on 7 pieces of equipment have been out of order for some time now.. machines have not been repaired.. I have a routine at the gym to maintain and it’s very frustrating when equipment is not repaired properly…let’s hope in the near future that this gets addressed and continues to properly be maintained! I continue my healthy lifestyle for my mental health. The gym is very important to me.

Positive experience: Some staff are out doing their job, but one in particular never leaves the "office", she is ALWAYS on her phone and when you finally get her attention she is abrupt and rather rude. I have never once observed her do anything other than looking at her phone while sitting in the office.

Negative experience: I swear the male attendant always cranks the heat super high and it’s extraordinarily annoying. Please get him to stop doing that.

Positive experience: Not too busy. A variety of equipment. Only biggest issue is that there is no water bottle filling station. I have filled up my water through the tap and isn’t cold and it doesn’t taste very good.

Negative experience: decided to leave goodlife and go to fit4less for budgeting purposes. there is no staff there ever, making black card completely pointless because you can’t use the amenities without them. went during the “staffed hours” posted but there is no one there it’s ridiculous. wish peterborough had better options.

Negative experience: Went for the last 4 maybe 5 years. Was my place to to work off life's stress. Was a great vibe . But now with the new staff there rude and lazy allways sitting on there phone instead of helping.The attitudes have wreck that good vibe. Miss the old staff. I've now canceled my membership and tonight I'll find a new gym.

Positive experience: Great place for beginners, as the more experienced fitness types tend to go to the gym next door. The only disappointing thing is there is no pool or sauna. Though many gyms in the city have both, I still prefer Fit4less anyway.

Negative experience: I went for a year, Kinda place to band you from listening to eminem and singing a bit outloud, To many KAREN'S ease dropping & reporting You, No water fountain, Terrible layout, All of the machines are crammed together, Definitely lacking a few machines that are much needed, Half the gym is cardio machines that don't get used. Water buckets on floors, Leaking roof, Hot as hell inside there, No fans, Way to crowded, Go else where if you have a brain... No reception on your phone, thick Concrete walls, Bathrooms are nasty smell like a strip club 24/7, By far the worst GYM I ever been too, It's a dump in PTBO !

Negative experience: I am beyond disgusted with the lack of communication from management at this gym. I have attempted to reach the manager and number of times with respect to a cleaning charge that was applied to my card for a membership I no longer have and have now noticed multiple charges coming out each month for a membership that I canceled. Nobody answers the phone at the gym, even with the closure there is no voicemail option to be able to get in touch with management to discuss this discrepancy and the manager, prior to the gym closing, never returned one of my calls. I hope that management monitors these reviews, because I will be bringing fraud charges against fit 4 less if they do not contact me with respect to these charges that have been coming out of my bank account for the last number of months.

Fantastic experience: Super!! I was running late and desperately needed a tan lol they still let me in and hung around for me to finish

Positive experience: The main part of the gym is clean, big, lots of equipment. The showers are another story. Dirty and so far, no hot water anytime I've attempted to use one. So use at your own risk, I won't be trying to use them again.

Negative experience: Went to try a workout there and they don't allow a trial workout. They charge you more than their monthly rate to work out once and they are rude. Sorry, but you don't buy a car without a test drive. During covid you want members, not push them away. I didn't see anyone cleaning machines before or after use. You are not selling product, allowing someone to try out the gym doesn't cost the gym anything, but could get you more members to stay afloat.
