Negative experience: tried their free day. poor ventilation, plates seem to be designed by someone who’s never worked out before, plates barely fit onto the bar and get stuck

Fantastic experience: I have been a member since this place open and management and staff are more helpful and sincere than any place I go to. I wanna thank the manager for all the help she gives me and the staff for all the things they do.

Negative experience: Ok starter gym. No water fountain.

Negative experience: We visited this location to cancel our Fit4Less membership and spoke with the staff to confirm there wouldn’t be any unexpected charges. They informed us of a 30-day notice fee, which we accepted. However, about a week later, I noticed a $67 charge, which was quite frustrating. We called this location, and a woman answered, explaining that it was an annual fee charged to my account. We asked, “Why am I being charged an annual fee for the upcoming year if I’m canceling now?” She responded with an attitude, saying there was nothing she could do because the fee had been charged before the cancellation date. She eventually said, "I’ll have someone call you back about this," and then hung up. No one ever returned our call. We then decided to visit this location in person to get more clarity. When we arrived, we recognized the woman from the phone call, who again gave the same unhelpful answers, this time with a dismissive attitude, shrugging and rolling her eyes. Frustrated, we decided to visit the Kingsway location instead. There, a helpful receptionist—a Hispanic gentleman—assisted us. He reviewed our cancellation date and the date the annual fee was charged. When we pointed out that the fee had been applied after our cancellation date to my debit account, he suggested there might be an issue with their new system, because it showed a different date on their system. He provided us with an email to reach out to, and after contacting them, we received a response within a week and a refund for the difference. In short, if you need help with your membership, avoid this location—the manager seems to lack proper knowledge or customer service skills.

Negative experience: BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!

Positive experience: Going to the gym for the first time can be a bit awkward and embarrassing, luckily for me the staff member here was really helpful and nice. He gave me a tour of the gym, and answered my questions about how to use different equipment. I didn't feel judged by anyone despite how inexperienced I am. The gym is a little small and there's not a ton of machines. That can also be a good thing though, because I wasn't completely overwhelmed by the volume of equipment. It's a good gym for beginners and people who are into basic fitness, maybe not so much for hard-core people but it's good for me.

Negative experience: Major problems with billing, and impossible to reach customer service.

Positive experience: My camp gym has more weights. This is nothing like the Northside fitforless.

Positive experience: No stairmaster. Smaller gym.

Negative experience: I have been hitting this location for 3 years, but recently, especially at night time, these guys don't put back the weights back even though there is a sign " what is one more rep." I politely asked one guy to put plates back when he was done, but it didn't work lol. So please, staffs, if you are reading this, take action on these guys.

Positive experience: Pros: ✅️A 24/7 gym (liked working out in the dead of night). ✅️ Good amount of cardio equipment and variety. ✅️ More variety with muscle specific machines. ✅️ Changing rooms, nice. ✅️ More organized (despite the not too big space). ✅️ More secure. Cons: Lacked calisthenics ideal equipment such as a plyo box (could use the bench press as an alternative I guess). Not too spacious (which is more ideal with calisthenic routines).

Negative experience: Giving two stars because I do like fit4less but this is by far the worst location. Wild that they can open a gym without water available to their members. Was shocked today.

Negative experience: I’ve never in my life dealt with such unhelpful customer service/manager. We tried cancelling these memberships for over 2 years and consistently were given the run around with no help to cancelling. This gym got 3 years of membership funds with no use of the gym from us. We were finally able to find someone that helped us cancel the memberships and she left a note for the manager to call us and discuss our experience. She started the call with a rude and uninterested tone, then basically told us “it’s your word against ours” and “I’ve been here for a year and have never heard of this happening” without solving our problem whatsoever. She continued to tell us we would still have to pay 2 more biweekly payments before our membership was cancelled - even after 3 years of an unused membership while trying to cancel. Sad use of a manager position for someone who treats their customers like this.

Negative experience: Not the best location (no showers.) Fine for a workout usually but was stupidly hot in there. If I wanted to do hot yoga I’d go to a yoga studio and forgo the grunting gym bros.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been using this gym for over a year now. I’ve used gyms my entire life by far this being the best one. It is the sense of community that keeps me going back. The people that use this gym are genuine , supportive and caring. If you are looking for a good environment to get fit then join us at fit for less

Positive experience: The gym facilities are alright. It's fairly small though so if it's busy there's a good chance you will have to wait for equipment

Fantastic experience: Dirt cheap place to workout at all the odd hours of the day and night, when I have to flip to nights I come here in the wee hours and walk on the treadmill with Netflix. It’s usually clean. no one bothering each other or filming themselves all the time. They recently got their WiFi so we no longer have to bootleg it from Mikado next door. I just wish there was a water fountain to fill up my bottle.

Positive experience: Good place if you need a cheap gym to work out at. wish it was a bit bigger however

Negative experience: A good gym for it's price. Really clean and the price is reasonable. The cons are small because you pay for what you get. There's no water foundation to refill your water bottle, no hip thrust machine and only 1 squat rack. The squat rack is always preoccupied.

Positive experience: No bells, no whistles, the crowd is a mixture of different kinds of people. The atmosphere Feels hostile at times.

Positive experience: Really good gym, I love it here. The price is good. It’s clean for the most part. It loses two stars because there’s one particular staff member that makes me feel so uncomfortable he follows me around, stares at me constantly. Even to the point where I’ve asked him “Can I help you?” And he didn’t reply. Wouldn’t you respond if you weren’t guilty of being a weirdo? Ugh. I’m honestly making this review so he gets spoken to, because otherwise I’m cancelling. I used to come here in 2021 now I remember why I cancelled initially. He works during the days and that’s the most convenient time for me to work out. STOP being a weirdo. Let me work out in peace pls.

Positive experience: It's cheap, but at the same time hard to get the equipment you need if it get busy!

Fantastic experience: The level of convenience and affordability provided by the Fit of Less is exceptional. It offers a cost-effective solution that perfectly suits my workout needs. I highly appreciate the fact that I can focus on my exercise and weightlifting without the need for additional amenities. The remarkable aspect is the friendly atmosphere created by both the male and female members. It's truly amazing how people there genuinely enjoy engaging in conversations. The staff members are always available on-site and go above and beyond to cater to your needs. I cannot express enough how satisfied I am with the service provided by Fit of Less.

Positive experience: Decent pricing but staff aren't very helpful. Tanning beds are also supposed to be open until 30 minutes prior to closing but staff leave early and shut down tanning beds prior to that. Also equipment is often broken so just be prepared to get what you pay for ‍♀️

Positive experience: Has all the basic amenities you need. Limited to no staffing but I feel that makes workout time less intimidating. Crowd vibe here is chill everyone minds their own business. Only big downside is no water fountain that I can find.

Negative experience: I've been going to this gym since 2016 The cleanliness has gone downhill the past few years. I had to clean a spilled protein drink on one of the elliptical bikes. It was there for weeks before I cleaned it properly. It was my go to bike and everytime I put my water bottle in the cup holder it would stink from the spill. Mirrors are always gross now.

Fantastic experience: This location is awesome! Management and staff keep it clean and are all super friendly. It’s super affordable and provides all the necessary equipment. Would definitely recommend! It’s also open 24 hours on weekdays which is such a plus.

Positive experience: Very affordable, and there is free tanning (stand up or lay down) & massage chairs. Staff is available, but expect to figure things out on your own! This gym is good for beginners and average people (haven’t encountered anyone that typically has intimidated me in the past).

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Fit4Less. I canceled my membership and was charged multiple times after the fact, which is completely unacceptable. This has caused me a great deal of frustration and financial stress. To make matters worse, when I reached out to the gym for a refund and was asked for my flight itinerary, I thought that I might finally get the resolution I deserved. However, Fit4Less ultimately told me that they had lost the paper trail and were unable to provide me with a refund. I trusted this gym to provide me with fair and reliable service, but they failed to meet even the most basic expectations. The fact that they lost important paperwork and continued to charge me after I canceled is simply unacceptable. This experience has left a sour taste in my mouth and I would not recommend Fit4Less to anyone. I urge the gym to improve their billing practices and customer service in the future so that others do not have to go through what I did.

Negative experience: This review is for the initial set at the door and online only. I went to the 170th location and used the machine in lobby to sign up. Punched in the correct banking and it says it’s incorrect. Left to my truck… Signed in online instead. My banking worked there. Payment went through. Says to check email…. Waiting Waiting…. Not in junk Not in other Not in inbox…. Seriously man, this set up sucks. 10 minutes and still no email.! I don’t have all day here to wait around

Negative experience: A terrible experience, the gym is small and not a great space, and the staff are all there to clean but will not help you with membership problems or offer any customer care, I tried to speak to a staff member and she kept pushing me to upgrade and pay more, would not listen to me and did not help me solve my problem. Overall, I would advice everyone to avoid ALL fit4less AT ALL COSTS

Negative experience: Horrible service and unauthorized charges. Canceled my account and then was charged out of the blue for membership fees, cost me over #120.00 in NSF fees, contacted 2 branches and emailed the regional manager to confirm cancellation only to have them charge me again. Horrible customer service, horrible to deal with as no resolution was given and they are still trying to steal money. Not locked in to any membership, just was month to month yet this company feels they have the right to take funds after cancellation.

Negative experience: Don’t get me wrong… the people who workout here are like family… the past staff (most of whom are no longer there) we’re so amazing and hard working! The manager uhhhh not so much! Following staff around finding fault in their cleaning when that’s all the staff seemed to be doing! Because of the small town family feel I decided to purchase full year memberships for my daughters and I . Now I am a single mom who scraped enough money together to open a small home based massage clinic in my home in late 2018! By the end gif the first quarter of 2019 “the powers that Be” decided to shut this industry down! I had just paid FIt4less for 3 full year membership and now I had nothing! I reached out to fit4less asking for a refund as I needed to feed my family. They flat out refused! They’re now participating a mandate that is resulting in violation of privacy, discrimination and medical segregation when in fact they could simply “Reduce capacity “ as they did in the past! This is they’re reply!! And I haven’t heard from them since!

Fantastic experience: Went early in the morning as I usually go to the on at londondary. Since I was visiting in the west end of the city and have the black card, inwas able to visit this location and get a good work out. Good basic clean gym. Had all the equipment I needed. The employee was dusting and making sure the equipment was in good condition.

Positive experience: Friendly staff and a decent variety of equipment. I know what I'm looking for in a gym so it suits someone in my position perfectly. It is a bit challenging to find specific equipment for more advanced workouts, though. Also, if you don't know what you want to work on specifically and you want to try new things, it has a limited range of equipment to experiment with. Still, for the price, it works great for my utilitarian needs.

Negative experience: DO NOT GO TO THIS GYM. Yes it is cheaper but it is not worth the money you will lose. I signed up for a membership before the recent lockdown (obviously not thinking there would be a lockdown). And I asked one of the employees what happens with my membership, and he told me the payments will stop until, the lockdown is over and until I confirm I would like to continue my membership. Well I haven't been to the gym since before lockdown and just got charged $40 a few days ago. So I called to cancel my membership that was clearly not put on hold. The lady who answered the phone had a rude tone to begin with so it already put me in a worse mood, considering I just lost $40. I told her what happened and she tried to insist I called the day before when I didn't. Even gave the ladies name she talked to in confidence thinking it was me. It wasn't me. She could've just asked for my name. Most horrible receptionist I ever talked to, doesn't know how to answer a simple phone call. Then she tells me she can't cancel my membership because the payment never went through. And I told her I'm not paying that when I haven't used the gym. I'm not paying $40 for nothing. Tried to tell me the same thing a few more times. Then she told me she'd cancel my membership and that I'd get a confirmation email. Never got the confirmation email. She also told me her manager would call me Monday. Its Tuesday. I called twice yesterday and they won't pick up my calls. When I was at the gym months before this the guys there would speed walk to the phone. I don't trust this company at all so I am canceling my bank account today. I'm also going to have a chat with them in person next week since they won't answer my calls. Save your money, im disgusted with this company.

Negative experience: Don't pay for a membership! They are over-booked so you can't get a spot. I paid for a membership and cant get in for an entire week. All the slots sell out immediately, so you'll be paying for a gym you cant use...

Positive experience: New cleaning protocols are amazing and the amount of people allowed at once got even smaller which allow more machines available love it thank you for the constant support of the community by making your space safe and welcoming

Negative experience: Was charging me throughout the pandemic.. never sent me one email to confirm payments. Person I talked to was very rude on the phone.

Fantastic experience: With Covid-19 cases on the rise in Edmonton. I am happy to say this gym has taken extra precautions. Masks are mandatory inside at all times and I like the safety they have implemented. I was at another gym, that I should review but rather not as it will a bad one. But is called AF you figure that one out, but I had to cancel the membership as it was disappointing to see protocols not being followed or implemented. Fit4Less is following protocols, you book your session on line and go workout safe. I guarantee you, you will enjoy it. Membership start as low as $5.99 bi-weekly and gym has high standards. Please let me know what your thoughts are, if you try it out and you enjoyed it.

Positive experience: I have mixed feelings about this gym. On the one hand it it close to my home and very reasonably priced. They have the workout equipment I want and the on-site staff are friendly and helpful. On the other hand management doesn’t seem to care at all. For at least the last 6 weeks, only 3 out of 12 treadmills are available. 3 are broken and the rest are unavailable because of Covid. I have asked why they cannot replace some of the broken ones with the ones that are out of service and they say they can’t do it without management permission and management does not respond to them. It is very discouraging...especially now that our appointments are being reduced to 50 minutes. Update: All the treadmills have been repaired so there is always one available! Thank You! Now that our appointments have been reduced to 50 minutes for sure it is a bit of a rush getting in, doing the workout you want to do, and getting out on time...especially if others are using the same machines you want but still...I go almost every day and I am able to do what I want to do and for the price, it is an amazing deal. I update my review to 5 stars.

Negative experience: There have been only 3 out of 5 of the available treadmills working for over a week (Depot 170). We asked if the broken treadmills could be switched with the wrapped/not broken treadmills and head office told the staff that this could not be done. The treadmills are always full and people have to stand around waiting. The fact that they will not switch out the not-broken treadmills with the broken ones is terrible customer service.

Positive experience: You get what you pay for, cardio machines and basic weight lifting stuff. Not gonna find platforms , bumper plates, kettlebells, battle ropes etc ..

Positive experience: The gym is clean. Staff are friendly. It's a basic gym, and good value, but... Some things could be dealbreakers for some people.... there are no showers, there is no wifi, and you must book in advance. As long as you can live with that, it's fine.

Fantastic experience: The facility is small, however it does provide all the equipment found in larger establishments. Their fees are reasonable and the staff very helpful. Open 24/7 Note staff are on site M-F 0700 to 10pm; S-S 11:00 - 4pm. Overall, probably the best value for money for people not looking for all the bells and whistles with higher priced gyms. The gym also offers wifi, something they didn't when I started at this gym.

Positive experience: Decided to check out fit4less because of the price and the three locations being near where I am weekly. this gym is clean, the staff were friendly, would have liked a better explanation of benefits and booking process as a new member with the black card but its all pretty basic. They did give us info but it was kind of hard to hear with the masks and plexi. no biggie. The staff keep the club in extremely good shape. With Covid policies in place the gym isn't overly packed. you have to book in your sessions online which apparently is glitch sometimes but I haven't run into that issue yet. There's plenty of cardio equipment, a nice stretching / Core area, the weight section is a little cramped but has most of the things you would need for a good workout. Didn't have any issues getting on the equipment I wanted etc. I do miss the Olympic lifting stations other gyms have to offer but that's minor. No water fountains are available but they do have drinks you can purchase. I would recommended to come with a full water bottle . there's also no showers just as an FYI. There are two tanning beds (one stand up one lay down, first come first serve and you have to have eye wear )They have three different basic Australian gold lotions you can purchase or you can bring your own. They have two single person change rooms, a few lockers and two bathrooms. Overall nice gym and would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great value for money. Very impressed with the changes they’ve put in place with COVID. Granted, the online booking can be a little glitchy at times, I’m aware it’s out of this particular clubs hands. I have been to other budget gyms in the last month and they’re far too crowded. I’ve become a regular first thing in the morning, and the usual guy and girl on are always cleaning or sanitizing something. And I mean, always! I don’t often write reviews, but this location, and especially the morning team deserves the recognition.

Positive experience: Pretty good as far as small gym's are concerned, if I had one complaint it be that they started bolting down the benches but apart from that its good.
