Positive experience: Clean. But ZERO squat racks or fixed benches (chest, shoulder). Odd. Very. Odd.

Negative experience: Discriminatory behavior towards hiring. Hire people who are near and dear to company's existing employees

Fantastic experience: I have been using this gym for the last year and I have no plans of moving. Not too busy, clean, the right amount of equipment and a variety of fitness levels.

Positive experience: Great gym! I’ve been coming here since I moved to the neighbourhood. I love the warm, exciting atmosphere and how helpful the staff is. Sometimes, I wish the gym were a bit bigger, but I understand that smaller gyms are part of Planet Fitness’s strategy. I wouldn’t mind having a few more squat racks, though, and possibly some heavier curl bars.

Fantastic experience: The team members are great. Kyle, Jesse, Dani, Hannah and the others are the reason I keep coming back.

Fantastic experience: This location is huge and is never crazy busy when I am there, which is nice. The staff is friendly. The only downside is they only have 2 massage chairs (which just seems like a planet fitness thing and not location specific) and almost every time I've gone they've been occupied and have a wait-list.

Negative experience: This place is unrealistic and it’s monthly payment system. They want two forms of payment to join the front desk team was very unprofessional. I suggest they rethink and come down to earth on membership enrolment

Fantastic experience: It's not my regular PF location, but it was super convenient for me to make it in to, since I was running late and I was not going to be home in my own neighborhood at a decent time. I actually felt the staff was super friendly, just like the ones at my usual location. Everyone was very welcoming, so it took away any uncomfortable feelings that I might have had with being at a new gym.

Positive experience: Clean and cozy place. The only thing I can suggest is please ask the members to wear deodorant due to their smelly body odour. There were times when we needed to finish our session due to their BO which caused me headaches and dizziness.

Positive experience: My overall experiences here have been great aside from one occasion. Hopefully the issue has been addressed so I don't feel uncomfortable coming back. It's important to employ staff who follow the judgement free mentality, obviously to a degree.

Fantastic experience: The tanning alone is worth the price. The equipment is amazing and my favorite location is Mayfield because of the staff and fact it's never full of people ever. I go there from millwoods even though I have a location in south common, which is always packed, the staff don't look happy and the vibe there isn't my type. Remi needs a raise imo.

Fantastic experience: Great place to workout. I prefer the bigger locations like Mayfield. The smaller ones are annoying. Mayfield has 2 floors and tons of equipment so you aren't waiting for a machine. Will be happy to come back when I'm ready to continue my fitness journey :)

I Love that with my membership I get to go to all of the Planet fitness facilities so anywhere I go there is always a Planet Fitness nearby for me to stop by and train, tan, massage all for 1 membership ship very low price! And I get to bring a training buddy for free anytime with me!

Positive experience: I prefer this gym over a few other gyms as it's clean and the staff are nice and are actually at the front desk. They also aren't scammers like some of the other gyms.

Fantastic experience: This is one of my favourite gyms . It has lots of nice equipment, people are nice and friendly, most important the staff. Massage chairs us like a Cherry on top. Prices are even better then most gyms.

Fantastic experience: Planet Fitness Mayfield is an easy to find, well-staffed, and clean facility. They have loads of work out equipment and I haven't had any problems getting on a piece of equipment yet. The hydro massage is also a bonus feature and is highly recommended after a workout. The staff is always courteous and helpful if you have any questions.

Negative experience: At your Mayfield Edmonton location, I have had a membership for 2 years. I appreciated how the gym cleanliness and rules were being followed, but lately the gym has become like a "pigsty", people walking in with dirty muddy street shoes, lockers and mens changing area floors filthy, dirt tracked into fitness equipment area, etc. The staff do not advise people to remove their street shoes, or members just ignore staff. Very little gym etiquette. Members need to follow the rules, and staff ensuring members are following the rules. I am becoming very disappointed in the gym members habits, and considering cancelling my membership if things do not improve.

Fantastic experience: Great so far, priced well and lots of space so it doesn't feel crowded like my previous gym. I love the atmosphere of a positive workout ethic, and it makes me feel great as an overweight dude trying to get healthier. Positive vibes, positive staff.

Fantastic experience: I love the Mayfield location as it is very spread out with lots of room to do stretching and not feel like I’m walking all over people. The staff here are also kind, welcoming, and encouraging which is a nice touch that I have not seen at the other locations I have tried out. The change rooms and bathrooms are also always really clean. I would recommend this location!

Fantastic experience: I love the 30 min circuit area it makes it for no excuses on ur busy days which is great! Lots of equipment and floor space so it doesn’t feel busy which is nice or over crowded! Staff are friendly and welcoming! I just wish there was an area to do some kick boxing!

Negative experience: I love the gym in general but I had my boots stolen from this location and asked the manager to check the footage to find who stole my boots. The manager did not do anything about it. If I was managing a gym.. it would be my mission to find Whoever stole those boots and have her be banned from PF. I wouldn't want those people in my establishment.

Fantastic experience: Great facility! Huge gym with tons of equipment, you rarely ever have to wait to use anything even at peak times. Everything is always clean and in good shape. Staff are great and really friendly. Great environment if you're looking to start working out, especially with a partner. Only negative is the men's washroom area smells like someone committed a war crime but if you just wash your hands quick you can live with that. Really happy that I signed up.

Fantastic experience: I joined this gym in January and am enjoying it. The gym and locker areas are spotlessly clean and the staff members are friendly and patient when explaining how to use a piece of equipment. The hydro-massagers really help get rid of aches and pains before a workout and then help the muscles relax afterwards as well.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym with a welcoming atmosphere and is a very comfortable place to work out in. I look forward to seeing familiar faces each time I go - that speaks volumes! The management has asked for feedback a couple of times and has been attentive and responsive each time. It's consistently been kept reasonably clean, the extensive and varied equipment is fairly new and in very reasonable condition, I've never had to stop my workout to wait for equipment - they have a lot, there's a lot of space as there are different focus area sections, and the basic price can't be beat. The app used to check in is extensive but it's very easy to use. It has a wealth of extra workout options for all levels if you're looking for additional tools, a guide to using each piece of equipment via a scan code, and they even have a crowd meter so you can see how busy it is before you go. I'm far from achieving my goals, but I've lost 30 lbs in 8 mos with consistency and feel great. I can see myself here long term and I'm looking forward it. I would have no difficulty recommending this gym.

Fantastic experience: I have recently rejoined this gym so happy I did. I moved to South side tried other gyms but this location is still my favorite. 1. Customer service is excellent. Staff is always friendly n helpful. I recently had an extremely fantastic experience w Quinn, her customer service is A+++ 2. CLEAN CLEAN. Washrooms,shower change rooms n gym is super clean. 3. Its never crazy busy n spacious enough that it rarely feels like it. If you have not tried this gym.. Do it!

Fantastic experience: Staff are awesome such as Manager Brent, always friendly and professional, he always say hi. Garrett, and Quinn as well, always say hi when people walk in. Today I met a new staff Kyle, very nice person and happy and cheerful to to be there. This gym is big and has lots of space and equipment to workout. The place is kept clean. Love the Hydro massage bed, best thing to go on before and after a workout. Would be nice if they can bring in a standing bag for kick boxing exercise or just to do some punching and kicking on this standing punching bag.

Negative experience: I would give a zero if I could SMFH I felt as though this gym is not a judgement free zone. I went into this facility without some knowledge. I went to tan for 8 minutes after my long day. A lady with blonde hair wearing a black hat at the desk let me go into the lay down for 8 mins and I was so happy about that awesome. It was closing time soon but she made the exception. Soooo.... Tell me why I was rudely approached (when Indeed the girl let me go in, this was her bad call, nothing to do with me I am the gym member!) after what was supposed to be a relaxing way to end my evening. A boy longer brown hair with glasses, a stupid look on his face) (not a man bc a man certainly wouldn't speak this way to a woman) says "just to let you know we won't do this in the future, this put quite a damper on things" I was 2 minutes after closing. My apologies that my 2 minutes were such an inconvenience.(as both of them are leaning on the desk doing nothing) And what a damper? ( I would say I was definitely judged for something that was again not my call/fault) these employees should get a talking to because if they do not, I will be happy to cancel my membership! I left after that not saying a thing but shaking my head. I sat in my car and waited to leave it took them about 5-7 minutes to come out of the gym. So why the rush and rude remarks. My only thought would be they certainly don't want me as a member if they are going to treat me like so. This is the address of the planet fitness that I went to 100 Mayfield Common Northwest, Edmonton, AB T5P 4B3 Do not come here. NOT a judgement free zone.

Negative experience: Very poor management. I have an issue with my account, I spoke with them and was told the manager would look into it and call me, after 4 days I haven't heard back. Very unprofessional.

Positive experience: Good atmosphere, alot of machines and good price for the black card which allows you to bring one friend and also allows you to access any of the locations. Has a massage room and change room is pretty big with showers if needed. Most of the machines can connect to apple watch so you can sync your heart rate but sometimes it does not work.

Fantastic experience: I joined planet fitness 3 months ago.. I honestly think its the best gym I have joined.. The staff are friendly.. The price for tanning and membership is under 30 bucks a month.. The place is kept spotless.. Theu have so much equipment your never waiting for a machine.. This gym is way better than Good life or any other gym for a matter of fact.. ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Negative experience: This gym and staff allow a group of men to harass women, call them names, and demand equipment. When concerns were brought to their attention, they knew this individual man by name who has multiple 'strikes' but is allowed to stay and target others, repeatedly. Appalling.

Fantastic experience: Great gym to sign up for short term memberships. Lovely staff here. I was thoroughly surprised with how much space there is here and how many extra machines there are. You likely won’t spend much time waiting for a machine or weights- there are tonnes available!
