Fantastic experience: I have been a member at this Y for years in the membership plus and can't say enough good things about it......if you can afford paying the extra from regular membership to plus ...it is worth it :)

Positive experience: I was harassed by another member in the weight training area on the 2nd floor. Fortunately, another member stepped in. Do not feel safe to work there anymore. If you are female and usually work out alone in the evening or at night, I do NOT recommend.

Fantastic experience: We booked a community room for an event and was greeted by Greg who was the kindest and most helpful person. Greg ensured that our location was set up and took extra steps to make our experience pleasant. I would recommend booking space with Central YMCA for any events you plan to run, great furniture, accessible, and excellent electronic hookups.

Fantastic experience: Great gym with tons of amenities. Indoor and outdoor track, pool, etc. And Great monthly price too.

Positive experience: Speaking as a member of 22 years , it's hard to put forth a cohesive review with what has gone on, I did go back, then cancelled but am thinking of going back very soon. I miss my friends, who have not rejoined but running outdoors and walking around * like a maniac * trying to make step counts isn't much fun either, it becomes very boring very fast The staff is great and do their best to ensure you enjoy yr. Workout, easy to book with the Sweat For Good App.

Fantastic experience: I was a student placement at Central YMCA, NIC ( Newcomers Information Centre) for two semesters. During this period, I gained valuable experiences and learned a lot about newcomers and their challenges. Prashant Shori and Yasaman Haghighat, were two people that taught me a lot of lessons. After graduating, I got a job in YMCA. I’m proud that I chose the YMCA as my field placement and I appreciate Prashant and Yasaman’s help and support.

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility to maintain good health and fitness! well maintained equipment, swimming pool is always kept clean and friendly staff. Lots of activities out here.

Fantastic experience: Great YMCA centre - lots of well maintained amenities. My only small issue is that they don’t notify when the pool is being maintained however other than that it’s great value.

Fantastic experience: Visited this YMCA as my friend is a member, and I checked in to register myself and 2 kids, boy (8) and girl (6) to go swimming. We are from outside the GTA and had an extra bag with us that would not fit in a locker. I asked the female staff, Parand, and she assisted me with placing the bag into an office. She was very nice, polite, helpful and welcoming. There is no entrance into the pool through the Universal change room, and she offered to help my little girl into the pool area after she got changed. Turns out that we did not use the pool as kids changed there minds. Still great to have had Parand help from start to end with our visit. I hope this message gets to Parand and hopefully we will be back for a family swim soon. Mike

Fantastic experience: Thus far my experience here has been absolutely breathtaking. The facility's eclectic design is captivating with a amiable staff that provide tantalizing service which is like pairing a Chateau Margaux 1787 with a 2000 vintage cote de boeuf. I cannot resist but to genuflect Al, Rita and fellow staff for their perpetual efforts in ensuring the pool and gymnasium are kept in pristine condition. My sole concern is the towels which feel like sandpaper.

Fantastic experience: I moved to this Y from another Y Good facility. Clean and well maintained Friendly Staff and Members Class Fitness Areas are large to accommodate the larger Classes Large facility and so much to do. Lots of Classes to choose from at good times Updated machines and equipment They finally have a Functional Training Room with TRX Members are actually allowed to use TRX (unlike another Centre that only allows it for PT) Very busy Y. Parking is a challenge. Best to Transit it here.

Fantastic experience: A very friendly and well-organized environment with receptive proficient skilled staff. I went to this center a few days ago for my first CLB test and I highly recommend this center if you want to experience a totally stress-free test. The assessor I met, Arash was highly professional, disciplined, and respectful. The staff was kind and supportive in such a way that after the test I was directed to another nice person who advised me on bridging programs, employment services, etc. Highly recommend this center.

Fantastic experience: My first swimming lesson was with Maya 5 months ago.she was really positive and motivating.She got a good sense of skill level and was able to progress the lesson in the way that was comfortable for everyone.Miya is the best instructor I even seen.She is very professional and passionate.I'm pretty sure every student feel the same way. Thank you so much for everything. Keep it up!!

Fantastic experience: I love the Y! It's not fancy and the building could use some updating but it has all the facilities, equipment and instructors you need to put a great, varied workout program together. Truly a community with a great vibe as nd lots of support. Whether it's aquafit, swimming, pilates, yoga, weights, fitness class or children's programming, everyone is welcome, encouraged and you'll be embraced by the "spirit of the Y". Can't beat a place whose 4 core values are respect, responsibility, honesty and caring. See you there!

Fantastic experience: There is no gym that accepts the role of my 7 year old as much as the Y. I have done goodlife and find that they don't incorporate the healthy living as a whole platform, but rather based on self image, they shun my daughter from being with me to witness what 'mommy' does to stay active at the age of 40. YMCA allows my daughter to run the laps with me no problem, in turn she not only gets to practice her own track and field goals (for school) but we both get a 3km run in and bond over fitness. Thanks to the YMCA for always accommodating to all guests lifestyle. I have tried 4 different locations in the city, all great.

Fantastic experience: My favourite location, beautifully constructed and YMCA keeps everything so clean. Some really memorable class instructors and love the community feeling.

Fantastic experience: Love this place!!!! Great location, great, well maintained facilities, hours are perfect , love that they open early (5am) and close late, so no excuses to not get a workout in . Open on public holidays. The only downside actually is that parking is limited although on the weekends you can park in the lot across the street for $5. Can’t say enough good things.

Fantastic experience: the place looks great, staff are friendly and helpful, I suggest to join as plus member so you could enjoy working out rather than waiting around to find a spot, the gym after 7 pm isn't busy at all.

Fantastic experience: Such a great facility. Don't waste your money at Good Life or some other overpriced gym. This Y is clean, has a ton of amenities, friendly, and members and staff.

Fantastic experience: Have not been to any other YMCA's, but this place is huge. It is well kept, clean, and offers a wide variety of activities. My favorites include the ping pong area and the Sauna. The staff are nice, but be prepared to swim marathon level distances in order to gain access to the deep end.

Fantastic experience: Of the two YMCA's I've been to I particularly enjoy this location. It can get busy because it's downtown but the amenities are great. Always clean and well maintained.

Fantastic experience: The Metro Y is a great community organization. It has its busy times, but find the time that works for you and it's awesome. The staff are friendly and helpful whenever you need it. Its' full service gym that makes it worth the price with a pool, multiple wait rooms and cardio centres.
