Fantastic experience: A fantastic pool for families, with a huge slide, great wave pool, lengths, even a 10m dive tower.

Fantastic experience: This is my favourite pool in the Greater Victoria area. They have a water slide and a wave pool that are fun no mater what age you are.

Fantastic experience: I have many fond memories of this place as a kid.They have many different pools and diving boards for all ages and skill levels with a pirate ship and wave pool for kids.

Fantastic experience: Just experienced Commonwealth Place for the first time. The swimming area is the best I’ve ever visited. All the staff were friendly and helpful and patiently answered my questions. They had no problem with me using my cane around the pool deck and I was able to find places to lay it down while I swam that weren’t too far from the stairs into the pool. I will definitely be back.

Fantastic experience: I just got my membership again for Commonwealth pool. I have to brutally honest.... the pandemic has me me realize how much I've missed the gym and utilizing the pool afterwards. I've always had a positive experience here. And it is damn good being able to utilize the gym again. If you haven't checked out the services there!!! I highly recommend it you got nothing to loose right?? ❤️

Fantastic experience: Fantastic facility! There's something for everyone in this large complex of pools, saunas, hottub, gymnasium, workout gym, and even a library! Lots of friendly well trained staff. Family change rooms for those that need it. $7 per adult for a day pass - so cheap! Highly recommended.

Fantastic experience: Drop in Archery is amazing! As beginners we all had so much help from the two instructors Ellen & Greg - using quality bows, arrows and targets, all suited to each of our needs. Will return as often as possible as this was a rewarding and enjoyable experience!

Fantastic experience: Alison, the aquatics director is amazing! She has been so helpful providing me with information on how accessible the Commonwealth Place Pool is! My boyfriend was recently in an accident that has him in a wheelchair, we are so happy that this pool is open during covid as hydrotherapy is providing much benefit to him. The lifeguards and the whole staff are amazing! It is such a blessing to be able to go to this pool during these crazy times.

Fantastic experience: Excellent friendly family oriented recreation facility. Lots of free parking. Elevators are present in the building. There are a wonderful series of pools, a 50 metre pool used for competitive sports events and by athletes for training purposes so check schedule for availability. The temperature of the 50 metre pool is 78 degrees suitable for swim training and sports. The other 50 metre pool is separated by a barrier into a Diving pool and a 25 meter swimming pool that is 1.2 metres deep. The temperature of these pools is 87 degrees suitable for leisure swimming and swim classes. There is a leisure wave pool with a water fall and water jets cascading into the swim area. The temperature is at 87 degrees. There is a small, shallow pool for small children and adults. The temperature is at 98 degrees. Pool facilities also include a large water slide, a jacuzzi, a sauna and steam room. Large and small lockers are available in the swim change rooms. Lockers take tokens which are sold at the reception desk. Tokens are 50 cents each or 25 tokens for $10. There is a great gym with good equipment that overlooks the pool area for entertainment while doing aerobic exercise. New gym equipment is added every year. There are many fitness and stretching classes with good instructors. Check website. Bag storage spaces and lockers are available in the gym. Lockers take tokens which are sold at the reception desk. Tokens are 50 cents each or 25 tokens for $10. A very good library and cafeteria are in the building. Library Hours Mon, Fri & Sat - 10 am to 6 pm Tues to Thurs - 10 am to 9 pm Sun - 1 pm to 5 pm There are many rooms available for rental. Check website. The complex is close to the highway at Royal Oak so it is easy to access by car and it is also on the bus route. Membership includes admission to Cedar Hill Rec Centre and Art Centre, Gordon Head Pool & Gym and GR Pearkes Skating & Gym Facilities.

Fantastic experience: Fairly easy to find a time when the weight room is not busy, tons of free weights. Not that many machines but it's not a huge issue. Annual student price is ~$323 which is super fair compared to other gyms. Would recommend.

Fantastic experience: Nice that they have one stop shop for the community rec centers. Commonwealth offers on of the finest pools in Victoria with things for adults, kids and athletes to do. Great gym for exercising you your body with a pretty big auditorium. Library attached gives time to exercise your mind as well. Also enjoy there small cafeteria as it offers lots of healthy items

Fantastic experience: I like the late-night swim (9pm-10pm), it's only $3, used to come every week, the pool is NOT crowded, 50 meter lane is great. Children can play in the fun pool and enjoy the wave and slide, which other theme parks charge a lot of money.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go whether for the gym, the swimming, playing in the wave pool or taking part in any number of fitness classes and other activities. Their summer programs for kids are AWESOME with an incredible staff. On top of all that, there is a branch of the Victoria Public Library there. Great staff here and many good programs for library goers.

Fantastic experience: Great facilities, fantastic pool, extremely friendly staff. They have a few beginner triathlons that are hosted here. There are tons of lessons available and open swim times are useful. The hot tub and sauna are great.
