Shapes Fitness Pembina

Fantastic experience: I love Shapes and definitely think it is the best gym in Winnipeg! Over the years I have been to many many different gyms in Winnipeg, and I can easily say that Shapes is my favorite. Shapes' gyms are bright, clean, and inviting. As a woman, I love the option to work out in an all-women environment. I feel relaxed and super comfortable. I also totally love the classes at Shapes! They motivate me to work hard, and prevent my workouts from getting boring. I love that you can go to any Shapes location in the city, and the classes are the same; they have that consistency which makes it easy and comfortable to go from location to location. I also love the music in the Shapes classes. Current and upbeat, they always keep me feeling happy and proud of myself for working out! I also love the soft floor in the hot yoga studios. The soft floor is a delight for my sometimes painful feet. I love Shapes!!

Fantastic experience: Have been going for the past 3 weeks and have lost 4 lbs so far. Ravi my personal trainer is very motivational and helpful with questions His routines change often and he is always booked (highly recommend him). Daniella is always accommodating and helpful with requests (i.e my training schedule). The gym is always clean as well the showers. People are very friendly and outgoing. I go six days a week and love every moment of it. I feel I found a great place that cares about me and my goals and really wants to see me succeed. See ya there tonight! Can't wait for another weigh in!!!!

Fantastic experience: As a member, I was able to reach my goals through the guidance of Coach Ivan. He was able to give me pointers throughout my fitness journey. He was very supportive and always go the extra mile to support his clients. With his extensive knowledge towards nutrition and exercise, I was able to learn a healthy lifestyle through managing calories and proper workout sessions.

Fantastic experience: Prior to joining the gym, I had little knowledge of the use of the equipments. I was unsure of how to acquire the right balance between physical activity and nutrition. However, trainer Ivan has helped me understand the use and purpose of the equipments for my workouts; he helped me understand my own body mechanics and how to fuel it appropriately with the right nutrition. Shapes offers a holistic approach to fitness and healthful living and I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have meaningful health and fitness gains.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience training with the personal trainers at Shapes. I trained with Torben, Kevin, Jowie and Ivan. All of them were very supportive and considerate of my goals. Both Kevin and Ivan helped me with nutrition and ways to manage my calories as well. Considering the very few sessions I had with Ivan just before completing all my sessions, he gave me exposure to all types of training. He supported me in identifying the most productive ways of exercising by myself. He has been very consistent in following up on training routines and nutritional habits and definitely goes the extra mile for his clients!

Fantastic experience: So love the newly renovated studio. Staff are warm. Love the yoga class. Lounge is pretty, clean and spacious. Very good place for fitness and wellness.

They are very friendly, easily approachable and they are always providing not only amazing customer service but outstanding customer experience as well. THANK YOU for being simply AWESOME! Fantastic experience: I joined Shapes in the early 1990's because it was close to my place. I enjoyed the classes and the equipment was stellar. I paused my membership a few times and cancelled without issue. The gym (at least the female side) was clean I thought the cleaning person was friendly and smiley. Only reason I cancelled is because I started Crossfit. As much as I love Crossfit, I cannot make class times these days. I am thinking of signing up again here.

Fantastic experience: My best me time place next to my massage therapist's abode. Varieties of group classes from Power (weights) to Active (cardio+weights). Shower rooms and change area always tended to by lovely Fatima. Lots of machines available for everyone to jump in! After a good class or workout, refresh with a quick bath, and indulge in the sauna room to complete your pamper time! Staff friendly and helpful, place clean and always in good order. Overall a really good fitness place to go to!!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to This gym for 6 months and every single time I come in to workout I get great customer service and a amazing workout with all the great equipment. Definitely a great place to go and I recommend it to everyone that wants to workout.

Fantastic experience: The best gym I ever been to. It has all the free weights that are required for weight lifting. Bench press , deadlift and squats rack. Friendly staff and clean environment.

Fantastic experience: I just recently restarted at this gym and I'm having a great experience! The membership cost is very reasonable and the staff knowledgeable. I like that I can join classes as well on top of just doing machine work. I haven't joined one yet, but I've seen a few in session and would like to join one eventually. Equipment is very well taken care of, and cleaned appropriately. The atmosphere is very relaxed as well. I would definitely recommend trying this gym out if you are looking for one!

Fantastic experience: I like the way the gym is On my first day this lady at the front desk walked me around and showed me the gym and she was so kind to me. She was really social and I am not the social kind of person but she was conversing with me and it’s like she knew I was really shy so she did not make it awkward hahahahaha also she explained everything to me really well! Fantastic experience: I love working out at this location.. close to my house plus good atmosphere. The staff is really friendly and understanding. Cleaning procedures are carefully taken care of by the staff. The booking system is good but i hope everything comes to normal soon. Overall great deal, supportive and variety of tools to work on.

Fantastic experience: 1 word, AMAZING!!! The service is impeccable and the manager natalie is beyond helpful! Signed me and my husband up for a membership and placed us both with amazing trainers for an affordable price. Two weeks in and couldn’t be happier, I recommend this gym to everyone no matter what level your fitness is at.

Fantastic experience: Very clean and well equipped gym. Almost all of my friends are a member there. I enjoy my workout at Shapes. Their manager is really co-operative and knowledgeable. I like the booking system though, don’t need to stand in line wondering if I can go in or not, like some other gyms.

Fantastic experience: Very systematic booking now with Schedulicity. Front staff Shannon is exemplary! -- authentically friendly. Equipment very good condition, place and equipment always sanitized and kept clean. Always have spray bottles and towels for individual to take for sanitizing. Been with Shapes for 7 years now (on and off, but mostly ON for over a year now). Never felt judged. My "class" mates are awesome!

Fantastic experience: Great facility and equipments. Staff is knowledgable and helpful. They clean and sanitize gym after every time slot. Amazing job they are doing!! I kinda like scheduling because there are limited members and I get all equipments that I want for my workout.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member at Shapes since it opened over 20 years ago and I have always enjoyed it. They have a great variety of classes morning, afternoon and evenings as well as hot yoga. The instructors are some of the best in the city, continually motivating and educating members to exercise safely as well as having fun.

Fantastic experience: I was visiting Winnipeg for a conference and looking for a gym with complete exercise equipment. The hotel we were staying at did not have a very good exercise room but was near a Shapes Facility. Shapes had all of the gym equipment that I use back home. Free weights, pull up bar, sit up bar and lots of space. In addition they also have a climbing wall, and a fitness training area. I would recommend anyone looking for a complete workout gym to consider Shapes or if you are visiting the area to select a Visitors Weekly Pass. Very reasonably priced.

Fantastic experience: I have been to many different gyms in Winnipeg. Shapes Pembina has given me the best experiences to date. The staff is always a joy to deal with, and the facility is well maintained, and very clean. I highly recommend Shapes Pembina to anyone that’s serious about working out.

Fantastic experience: Great gym!! Staff are amazing and so friendly!! They make you feel very welcome. I have been using the Pembina location for more then 9 years now. They provide a good daycare hours making it easy for parents to get to the gym!! However only complaint is daycare closes 2 days on holidays forcing me to go to other gym that provides a daycare on holidays. But other then that I would highly recommend this gym!!!

Fantastic experience: I love the Pembina Shapes location, I would recommend it in a heartbeat. Friendly staff, clean gym, beautiful lounge with massage chairs, there are so many options. They offer many different fitness classes and the instructors are so much fun.I have just had an all out great experience since I started at Shapes. Since starting at shapes in the middle of April of this year, I have lost just over 80 pounds, and I want to say Thank you to my amazing personal trainer jodi who helped me achieve my goal. I know that I would of never have achieved the level of fitness and wellness I have, if it wasn't for my incredible personal trainer jodi, she has given me the full attention I needed throughout my personal training sessions. She helped me achieve my goal in just 6 months, I couldn't be happier :) Jodi is always very encouraging and has a vast knowledge of her profession. I would highly recommend her if your looking into getting a personal trainer. I aim to continue to train and maintain a good level of fitness with their help for a long time to come. Fantastic experience: I love going to Shapes to attend their group Zumba classes! I'm greeted with a smile when I first enter the doors. My Zumba classes are so much fun, the instructors are great and the music is fabulous! The other people in my class are super friendly and I'm made some good friends. I always feel terrific after my class! It's truly a positive experience! And I always look forward to my next class! Thanks for such a welcoming place

Fantastic experience: Great facility. Always clean. No matter what time of day I visit, I never have to wait for equipment. Every member of the staff is always ready to assist with a smile. I'm not currently a member, as I have a home gym and only drop in periodically, but Susmitha has been very patient and kind in answering all of my questions. She has me seriously considering putting my equiptment on Kijiji and signing up for a membership in the new year.

Fantastic experience: I am a huge supporter of Shapes and am fortunate to be a member since 2013! I love all of the options available with the group fitness classes, a large variety of fitness machines, hot yoga classes, clean change rooms with a VIP option, friendly staff and a number of excellent instructors! The entire Shapes experience leaves me feeling challenged, inspired and healthy! Since Sylvia became manager, the customer service and cleanliness of Shapes Pembina has improved 100%. If you are thinking about a gym to join, choose Shapes! It will meet all of your fitness needs and you will love it!!

Fantastic experience: I love Shapes! I've been a long time member for 15 years! You can't beat the membership rates. It's convenient-you can use your membership at all of the locations across the city. There are many great fitness classes to choose from. The instructors are awesome and very motivating. I love Jenn's R30 class on Saturday-she makes my legs burn (in a good way!!) Keep up the good work :)

Fantastic experience: Absolutely love my experience at Shapes Pembina!! Super knowledgeable staff and always friendly. Facility always clean. Excellent variety of classes and instructors who have a passion for their career. Childcare is a wonderful option for my family. Such a positive place and keeps us motivated to feel stronger both physically and mentally.

Fantastic experience: I am from Vancouver, BC and I am here for only 7 weeks for business. The only membership they offered was 201$ for 3 months or 10$ for each drop in. After talking to a manager: Sylvia, I was able to work something out for me and my coworkers. I am happy Sylvia was willing to accomodate our needs and allowed us to use their facility. This is one of the best gyms in Winnipeg! This gym is also 24 hours and I highly recommend it!

Fantastic experience: Great gym! I’ve been a member for at least 8 years. My rate is very reasonable, and I love that I can add tanning and hot yoga to my membership for a VERY reasonable rate. Seriously cheaper for those than anywhere else. Staff are always friendly, there is a large variety of machines too, not to mention classes! I enjoy the option of having the women’s only side or the co-ed side for when I go with my significant other.

Fantastic experience: Shapes Pembina is a top notch fitness centre. Sylvia is an excellent manager with great knowledge and interpersonal skills. Kinga is incredible! Her vivacious energy and friendly reception make everyone feel welcome. The fitness instructors are so amazing running fun and innovative classes. I LOVE the access to hot yoga included in the membership. All staff are friendly and so helpful. The equipment is consistently cared for and updated as required. The new lounge and massage chairs are the icing on the cake at this gym. For a most economical and positive experience you need to come here!! A truly professional and healthy environment!

The gym has a very safe and motivating atmosphere and the staff and trainers are very nice and encouraging. All the equipment is very easy to use, especially for someone like me who has never been to the gym before. I definitely recommend shapes to anyone!

Fantastic experience: Been coming to place for like 2 years now. In a word, it’s “magnificent”. what i like, the climbing wall. Now, that thing is huge, with 5 levels - the higher the level the more it’s difficult.They have a trained professional at schedule times to help you out with climbs. Totally safe, badass & fun. Best part, it’s included in membership unlike certain places. Plus the counter ladies are cool too - great people.

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for over 21 years (on and off) but continue to come back to Shapes for the facility and the staff, namely Sylvia. The facility is well maintained, clean, and a great variety of machines, work out equipment, work out classes, yoga classes and flexible hours. Sylvia has been a consistent and familiar face for probably the same amount of time. She is well invested in the facility and the members. She is personable, knowledgeable approachable with any concerns, or comments and definitely knows the Shapes facility and business.

Fantastic experience: I have been buying the groupon deal to try out shapes fitness classes for the last couple years and I finally caved and got a full membership this year. I love coming to the Pembina location as the staff are always friendly, gym is clean and the classes are fun. My favourite class to attend is the ride classes and I recently tried R30 which is a lot of fun as well. Even from travelling from out of town I find this is my go to location for my workouts!!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member here for over 5 years and love it! I was very hesitant of signing up for any gym at first, but Shapes Pembina has been fantastic. I particularly love the amount of equipment available on the Women’s Only side, and the hours (24/7 access).

The return experience to Shapes Pembina was excellent, from Sylvia being so helpful with my registration to Jodi my new fitness coach setting up a plan for me. Love the classes and the premises are fantastic!

Fantastic experience: Recently I have been going to Shapes Fitness Centers on Pembina Highway in Winnipeg. I have been tagging along with my daughter for a few weeks now. What an inspirational Place to be. Staff is very friendly, and really helpful to somebody new to this type of exercise. Instructor was on her game and kept us all motivated and moving. Good clean gym with quality equipment, Love the fact that the workout is always different, easy yet effective. I am looking forward to next week already!!

Fantastic experience: Great location for people living in the south side of the city. Very clean environment. Very friendly staff members, they always greet you with smile and great customer service. The size of the gym is huge compared to other gym in the city and Shapes offers free classes for members. Not even that, you always get calls from the staff asking how’s our experience with Shapes so far and they always have something to offer for free such as personal training session, some classes and so on. I highly recommend if someone is considering in joining shapes.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Shapes for 10 years now and will never switch to another gym. They have more than enough equipment so I'm not stuck waiting forever for a machine, the gym is always clean, and their recent renos have really made the gym much more attractive. Highly recommend anyone looking for a good gym to get in and give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
