Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this gym for about 4 months and can confidently say that this gym is definitely the best I've been to in the Windsor area. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the members are friendly, and the environment is very welcoming and encouraging. On top of the environment, the equipment speaks for itself. The handpicked Atlantis, Hammer Strength, and Panatta machines create an overall enhanced experience for beginner or experienced lifters alike. Another huge plus is that the dumbbells go up to 140lbs. Overall I would strongly recommend this gym to anyone who is looking for a great facility and overall experience.

Fantastic experience: Riverside Family Fitness is at the top of my list for fitness facilities in Windsor. The gym carries a wide variety of Atlantis & Panatta pieces, as well as a full section dedicated for cardio equipment. Riverside also offers amenities such as pool, sauna and steam room access for no extra cost which is a huge bonus. The entire facility is extremely clean and well maintained- improvements and updates always being made. On top of it all, Riverside has the best community and staff that make you feel like family everytime you come in. Easily my favourite gym in the Windsor-Essex area.

Fantastic experience: This is hands down one of the best gyms in Windsor! The facilities have recently been refurbished and they are always adding new equipment. The owners and staff are all wonderful and make you feel welcome as soon as you walk in. Not only that but the members are great as well, lovely atmosphere!

Negative experience: Be careful - the place does not have a pool. They have a wading pool behind the desk that they act like is a swimming pool. It is not even 4 feet deep. I signed a contract specifically asking about swimming and stating I only wanted to swim. I was pretty bummed out to see the pool floor is coming apart in one area, not even 3 people can swim at 1 time, there is no deep end etc So I asked to cancel. I don't have the full cancellation fee upfront and have asked to pay in installments and they are refusing. A place that refuses to let you cancel after duping you into believing they have an actual pool is beyond disappointing.

Fantastic experience: Riverside Family Fitness has been my home gym for over 20 years and all I can say is that Joey and his team had made this place into a 5 Star gym. Very friendly staff, and all members as well. Feels like working out with friends. Not to mention that they’ve upgraded the place so much with new equipment, paint & amenities. The staff are very warm and the owner is very personable. Everyone plays a big part in why this is the only gym I have worked out at since moving to Windsor 3 years ago. P.S. Fantastic experience: Riverside Family fitness is a great gym! It has everything you need, a friendly staff, a nice, clean pool, clean facilities, and an optional charge for daycare for kids! I’ve loved my time here so far, and can’t see myself going to any other gym as long as I live anywhere near this one.

Fantastic experience: Staff at Riverside Family fitness is great, Rebecca at the front desk always greets you with a warm “hello” and a smile. Joey and Julie the owners are always ready to answer any question and get you started on your fitness goals. The clientele varies with all age groups which was something I was really looking for. I really enjoy the classes and the instructors are there to correct your form and push you when you need it. I also do personal training with Joey and I’ve never looked better.

Fantastic experience: Professional and friendly staff, a good range of equipment. For someone with social anxiety, I feel very comfortable at Riverside Family Fitness. Took up some very basic lessons from Darci, she's very knowledgeable and accommodating. Loving my experience at this gym.

Fantastic experience: Everything was great as I entered the Gym, me and my friend were in windsor just for the weekend and we wanted to excercise . staff was really helpful and pleasing. They give us the tour of the Gym and we liked it. Equipments were good and clean, washrooms, sauna and steam rooms were great. Lockers were new and facility was really clean. We met the owner Joey and he helped us in explaining how to use equipment properly and to do proper stretches. Overall great experience and recommend this facility to everyone

Negative experience: This place is the worst place I have ever been. It takes advantage of people. I have been to here for half years, then I cancelled the account and PAID cancellation fee on 2019. Right now, I’m applying mortgage and surprised there’s a collection of around $500 from this gym. I called this gym and they said they can’t find anything about my account and ask me to call the collection. The collection said I’m owning 3 month monthly fee and cancellation fee and interest total around 470 or something. They said they tried to reach out to me and no answer. The truth is I NEVER received any mail nor email and this gym even didn’t give them my correct phone number. When I canceled my account, they didn’t give me any paperwork there’s only a machine receipt which no one would kept for three years. There’s tips for people who want to cancel the membership:1. Ask for paperwork for cancellation 2. CHECK YOUR CREDIT REPORT.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for less than a year and this gym has become my favourite place to be. The staff are so kind and welcoming, specifically Kyla. She’s made the gym atmosphere a positive place. When I first started working out I felt intimidated but as I started talking to her it’s made me more comfortable and confident. I recommend this gym anytime I get a chance.

Fantastic experience: A really special gym. I’ve been going to Riverside Family Fitness since fall 2015. The community is really welcoming and caters to the very beginner all the way to international level bodybuilding- without making the amateurs feel intimidated whatsoever. There are all ages, shapes and sizes of gym-goers and everyone seems to give great support to each other. I can go in and say hi to familiar faces, or on days where I’m not feeling as social, I can throw my headphones on and run in and out. The perfect blend. Since attending here I have done three fitness competitions under the training of owner Joey Flores, who also won Mr. Canada in 2016. I won the overall. Now I just go to stay healthy & fit, and really value the wonderful staff that always greets me with a smile. A special place that I can’t recommend enough. Thanks RFF! Lisa

Negative experience: Worst gym ever! Used it for a couple months and Covid hit. Gym closed. It opened but I did not feel comfortable going in plus they did not have any classes happening or the pool open, which is why I joined, so I wanted to put my membership on hold. I was on hold for 6 months but when I went in and asked for an extension they said no. So I basically Paid for a full year of membership for about 3 months of use......BUT.....if I had been on a month to month then I could have put it on an extended hold. Don't like their bysiness practices, don't like how I was treated. Will never go back. Will never recommend them to anyone!

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about Riverside Family Fitness and it’s staff! I have been getting personal training with Joey for almost 3 years now and have never felt better about myself or had more compliments. I also get FST stretching weekly with Eric. The gym is always clean and I am always welcomed by friendly staff. Highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for 4 months now, actually since the new owners took over. Joe & Julie, both body builders, have transformed the space and atmosphere of this gym, and made it very welcoming and family friendly. One side is set up for weight training, the opposite side set up with cardio machines, a separate room with a pool for aqua classes, and other separate rooms set up for yoga, pilates, land aerobics, spin classes, with more to come (like body camp!) The hours are good, as they have accommodated shift workers and those who work weekends so they can attend before or after work. And, lastly, this gym has the friendliest members....they help you when you ask, they greet you when you walk in the door....and the staff working the counter are amazing and will make you a protein shake when asked and they always have free coffee on! I really enjoy this gym!!

Fantastic experience: I've been a member of Riverside Family Fitness for over 4 months and it is a fantastic gym which constantly improve and build on its facilities, ensure its members are looked after on a personal basis. There is a very friendly, family feel, a really welcoming atmosphere to all members old and new.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Darci with the primary goals of learning proper form for strength training and feeling confident with navigating the machines and equipment at the gym, to get the most of my membership and time. Got those boxes thoroughly checked and learned SO much more. From what compound exercises are and how to execute them correctly, to building my own strength training program, to what pushing myself really should look like, Darci is not to be underestimated. Highly recommend this vivacious beast of a trainer. I've been a member for several years, and wish I would have trained with Darci when I first signed up.

Fantastic experience: Very friendly, family atmosphere along with dynamic and knowledgeable staff whom pride themselves in customer service , and knowing the clients names as well as their needs. Owners Joey and Julie , Gabby and her management team and the trainers are always looking out for their clients well being, always available should anyone have concerns or need help. Gym is kept very clean, offers numerous classes to fit everyone ‘s schedule and are open to any suggestions you may have. You never feel intimidated coming in like some of the other chain gyms .

Negative experience: When I joined in late August, I was glad that they had a pool for exercise. The first time there, an employee was walking around without a mask, then she spoke with a client who had no mask and a child between them. Then she spoke with the GM about feet apart and no mask. The same employee was then walking around still without a mask. Clients were entering without a mask and other staff members. I advised the GM about the issue which I should not have had to do. On my second visit, there was no physical distancing between the tread mills or plexi glass between. When I asked the young man on duty he said that is okay everyone has they had their second shots. The mask policy was still in place and so was distancing. In the other room that was no distancing either as I had to go through for the bathroom that was no clean. I did report them to the board of health. I asked the company to cease my membership, but they are asking for the cancellation fee that is indicated in the agreement. This facility had no concern for my health or any other members. Why would I want to pay money to a company who again had no concern about the laws and my health. I asked the GM if I could speak to the owner. Her response was that she is aware of my emails, which I tend to doubt.

Fantastic experience: Riverside Family Fitness is truly amazing. Staff is compassionate and truly care about everyone and are always eager to help you. There are lots of classes and exercise machines that you can choose from. They really keep this place clean and well kept. I can honestly say that personally it feels like a home away from home to me.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym!! It has a pool! A HEATED pool! Need i say more!! But in all seriousness, its great here. I was never a gym member any where before. I never thought I'd ever be happy to go to one! But i honestly love it here. Everyone is so nice and friendly. I joined due to the pool but i now use other equipment. Did i mention its a heated pool!! Well it is!! :D Thanks Family fitness!!
