Fantastic experience: I've tried other gyms, but I keep coming back to this one. It's on the smaller side, so it's cozy, but you have plenty of machines and weights to do your workout. And on top of that the staff is sooo nice, they're always in a good mood!

Negative experience: Salle trop petite, trop de monde et peu de machines. Je ne comprends pas la notation des reviews, c'est des gens qui sont abonnés mais qui ne fréquentent pas beaucoup l'endroit ou quoi? J'y suis allé 1 ou 2 fois mais j''ai été déçu par les rares machines qui en plus ne sont pas de première jeunesse. Sur une machine de curl que je voulais utiliser, il y avait un guy chubby qui monopolisait la machine et passait le plus souvent son temps assis, sur l'écran de son téléphone entrain de regarder je ne sais quoi (en plus ce chubby était étonné que je veuille utiliser la machine). Ce gars ferait mieux de se concentrer sur l'effort pour réduire sa chubbiness. Bref à cause de tout cela je vais devoir retourner au gym au sud de Verdun qui ne me plait pas trop mais au moins il y a beaucoup de machines et c'est moins crowded (et pas de gars chubby qui passent leur temps sur l'écran de leur tel à regarder des vids débiles)

Fantastic experience: nice little gym that offers free 2hr parking for members. Has most equipments that one would need for their workout. Can be a little crowded during the 5-8pm period, but usually not an issue as people as nice and willing to share.

Positive experience: I say this with a heavy heart, as I truly love this gym. Its warm staff and wonderful community, free of any pretense and full of classy individuals, make it a joy to visit. The affordability and convenient location only add to its appeal. However, there's an urgent matter that needs addressing: the condition of the bench chairs is not only poor but potentially hazardous. Once changed, I won't hesitate to give a well-deserved 5-star rating.

Fantastic experience: J'y suis allé de base parceque c'est pas mal le seul gym dans le coin , mais je suis très content d'y aller finalement , le prix est raisonnable pour un gym qui n'est pas une grande chaîne, c'est petit d'apparence mais y'a absolument tout pour s'entrainer et plus qu'une salle en realité , les gens sont sympathiques que ce soit le personnel ou les pratiquants , les vestiaires avec douches sont très propres et le gym en général est bien entretenu Bref si vous habitez dans le coin et que vous rechignez à l'idée de dépenser un peu plus que pour un gym commercial allez y faire un tour ne serait-ce que pour une séance et votre avis changera l'ambiance y est bien plus calme et chaleureuse tout en proposant des machines souvent bien meilleures Petit point bonus : j'ai encore vu personne casser la tête en mettant une caméra avec trépied pour filmer son set

Fantastic experience: C'est officiellement mon gym préféré ! Un accueil toujours chaleureux, toutes sortes de machines sont disponible. Si on n'y trouve pas son compte il y a tout le matériel pour faire des variations s'agit seulement d'être créatif ou de demander de l'aide des excellents membres du staff. Des fans ont été ajouté pour les périodes plus chaudes. Merci beaucoup Canal Fitness de nous offrir un bel espace pour se mettre en forme a un coût très abordable !!!!

Fantastic experience: Un gym complet à taille humaine. On est loin des gyms aseptisés et anonymes. Le service personnalisé, un prix raisonnable + les coachs qui peuvent nous accompagner c’est parfait.

Fantastic experience: Great little gym. Can get busy a times but they manage the space well enough. The price also is pretty comparable to other options in the area. I like this gym because the majority of its crowd is focused on being there to train, not to show off or waste time. Some new machines have been added lately as well.

Positive experience: I modified my stars from 3 to 4 after the owners response. Their service is always great. Great staff and great small gym. Everyone is super friendly and for the most part there is always place for everyone. I recommend this small gem for anyone and any ages. It is very multi-use. Why 4 stars after saying all this? Well 2 main points that are quite important. First there is no air conditioning…if there is well is is very low…and very little breese. It gets very hot, at least put more fans please, sometimes it’s a little much. Second, there are tv’s…..absolutely useless, no one watches and they are simply distracting for no reason. I do not want to watch hokey or baseball on repeat while on the eleptical, they add no value at all. So to the owners, i am sure im not the only on to share this though. You could also save on your tv bill! That being said, this gym is still 1000% worth is even more if you are close. Has nothing to do with others main brands, cool place.

Negative experience: I would not recommend this gym to anyone. They don't have proper ventilation, the air is so stuffy you feel it and SMELL it the moment you walk in. Although the space is decent, they don't have a big variety of machines. Some of the front desk staff are just outright arrogant and rude. If you get unlucky and you walk into the gym with one at the desk, you day will be ruined. No good music, some times there is no music at all. The only plus I can think of is the parking

Fantastic experience: Edited review to 5 stars. Still cozy and bright, I did say I would up to 5 stars if they got more equipment, and boy did they deliver. Somehow they put more stuff in there and there's still space to breathe! More racks, more cable stacks, and specialty stuff like a kickback machine and pec deck. All of that in a chill, respectful ambiance. Deserving of the 5 stars!

Fantastic experience: UPDATE: Changed my review because I saw the owner's response. It was a misunderstanding and it happens. Like I said, I liked this gym otherwise, people are nice and it is convenient. ________________________________________________________________________ I joined this gym almost 2 months ago now, since it is very close to where I live. I saw the equipment is old but I thought I'd give it a shot. The big PROBLEM has been that all summer they have had a policy of no AC. When I asked they said that this was due to some regulatory requirement where gyms couldn't have AC turned on because it spreads COVID. They said that I could ask for a refund (which was nice), but that all gyms have this same requirement so it wouldn't be better elsewhere... Many weeks later I hear from a friend that his gym has had AC all year, and so yesterday I called other gyms in the area to ask. One person literally laughed in my face thinking it was hilarious that a gym would be open without AC! I feel sick working out when it gets close to 30C outside, especially with all the humidity. This alone means I couldn't come more two thirds of the time I wanted to work out. The price is comparative / more expensive than gyms without these limitations in the area. I understand that running AC in a space that large is expensive, but the cost savings of not using it aren't worth members having heat strokes. Staff is really friendly though, nothing but good things to say about them.

Fantastic experience: 20211120: Do you know Canal Fitness also has an affiliated indoor paddling "tank" facility for canoeists & dragon boaters to train during the harsh Canadian winter? My team drove all the way from Ottawa to Montreal for a 3-hr session & we were not disappointed. Unlike paddling in a swimming pool, the water in the "tank" is moving and it closely simulates our open-water practices on rivers & lakes. The on-site coach, who was an experienced Canadian National Team racer, video-taped our paddling & then reviewed/evaluated our individual performances. Highly recommended for intermediate & competitive paddlers alike. You will need to call ahead & make a group reservation.

Positive experience: To be fair it's a niche gym for dragon boat training and I don't use it for that - for me it's sufficient for working out, but doesn't compete with large chain gyms.

Fantastic experience: Love the location and the equipment. Very clean facility and love that it is designed with paddlers specifically in mind. The first of its kind that I have evrler seen. I think this place will help me get back into shape to paddle after a baby, a back injury and a long break from training.

Positive experience: Small, but very friendly and clean, and felt comfortable as a woman. Lots of members from the dragon boat club on the canal if you're into that.

Negative experience: Je n'ai vraiment pas aimé cette salle. Il y a très peu d'équipement et ceux disponibles sont très vieux, et il n'y a jamais personne à l’accueil (ni dans la salle d'ailleurs...). Par contre les vestiaires sont très propres.
