Fantastic experience: I am so grateful to have found The Sweat Box. Coach Chris has been an exceptional teacher, and I have learned a great deal from her. Morning workouts are my favourite and Coach Chris makes them fun and motivating. She’s always ensuring you are performing exercises correctly and effectively no matter what level you are at. The nutrition coaching has truly transformed my approach to health, and has finally given me a plan that is sustainable. My only regret was not starting sooner!
Fantastic experience: I contacted Coach Chris re her nutrition coaching. I had all the right knowledge but the execution started to lack. In 2 sessions (24 weeks) the lovely Chris I have lost almost 14 lbs, several inches and am eating better and with more confidence in my ability to make the right choices for me. Fantastic experience: I started going to Sweat Box 2 months after giving birth to my baby girl and I can say this with confidence that it was the best decision for my confidence and strength postpartum! Coach Chris is a powerhouse and somehow is able to watch everyone’s forms.. offer modifications to those who need them ( I know I do! whenever I feel unsure about an exercise, almost like magic, I find coach Chris next to me!) she sure keeps us all pushing harder! I didn’t know I could feel so strong in just three weeks and it is the best feeling so watch yourself get stronger and reaching out for those heavier weights❤️ I have also attended coach Josh and coach Marc’s classes and they are superb too!
Fantastic experience: The entire team at Sweatbox is so welcoming and friendly. All the coaches are fantastic, but I'm usually in coach Chris' classes (one of the owners). Chris is an absolute #bosslady and has been an incredibly motivating and inspiring coach. I'm finding myself working harder & pushing myself more to keep progressing, and that's thanks to Chris. I dont know how she does it, but even if there's 20 people in the class she still makes sure everyone is well looked after, coaching on form and pumping us all up! I'm not an early morning person, but it's worth getting up for and I always feel better having gone. The community at Sweatbox is awesome, everyone is there to work hard and be supportive. Oh and one last thing - love the playlists every class!

Fantastic experience: I wanted to be fixed and I wanted it fast. I was working out and getting nowhere. I thought that I was eating mostly well and felt like I just needed a little bit of help finding the magic key that would finally make my workouts effective so I could lose weight. The magic key was Coach Chris, and she had no intention of giving me fast fixes; she wanted to make sure I have solid foundations in nutrition and health. With Coach Chris I am now able to have more effective workouts, I have become stronger, and I see my emotions regulate better. My mental clarity is improving and so is my sleep. I am no longer focusing on my next meal and instead finding myself being present and focused in my interactions with other people. I still have a ways to go, but this is a journey and no longer a destination. As Coach Chris says “Progress, not Perfection.” As this year comes to an end and I reflect on my choices this past year, I would say joining Coach Chris and her nutrition program is one of the best decisions I made!

Fantastic experience: Hands down,the best gym in KW area. After almost 2 years not doing any exercise, I started again and I LOVE IT!!! Group fitness classes are amazing ,people in gym are very friendly,owners Chris and Marc such a nice people( they are pushing you that you even don't notice,untill class is done) and you need 3 towels lol. Amazing place,everyone needs to go there. It's worth every penny

Fantastic experience: Google keeps asking me to update my review, so here is my update: I have less pain, or no pain when doing things that hurt 3 months ago. I just feel better, all around because this place. Take constant daily pain, and reduce it in someone, and they tend to be nicer all around as well, lol. I want to create another google account to give this place 5 more stars. Original review: What an incredible gym. They describe it as non-judgmental, I like to say it's targeted at middle age adults. It's not a fashion show or a session in your own public vanity, it's about finding the right fit for you, at your pace and your mobility.
Fantastic experience: I had a PT session with Coach Josh. I wanted some help with my form and getting in-shape for my wedding. Josh was great and formulated a plan to attack different aspects of my body. Really knowledgeable and friendly, highly recommend! I attended one group fitness session too, and it was good also.
Fantastic experience: I loved my personal training experience with both Alex and Josh. They are so friendly and knowledgable which made me feel super comfortable during each session. The Sweat Box is such a welcoming place and helped me get started on my fitness journey with confidence!
Fantastic experience: Highly recommend Josh as a personal trainer. He has elite knowledge in general training as well as kickboxing. His sessions are fun while also pushing you to the max. He’ll customize workouts to your needs when you just want to show up and not think about what to do, but he’s also a great listener when you want to be more involved in coming up with exercises or understanding the anatomy and biomechanics of your workout. Josh helped me with my strength training journey and becoming a better athlete.
Fantastic experience: Nutrition coaching with Christine has been one of the best actions I could have taken to improve my health. My husband and I decided to go on this journey together. We have changed our lifestyle and I’m confident that our new habits are here to stay. Christine helped us build healthy habits that are sustainable that fit into our busy family life with 3 children and our professional lives. She started with our entry point and ensured every change made aligned with our lifestyle. My goal was to be healthier and I knew eating better was a key change I needed to make. I had no idea these changes to fuel my body properly would also result in such a general feeling of well-being. I started sleeping better, a fog lifted from my brain that I didn’t know was present, and my energy levels sky-rocketed within the first month. The nutrition coaching with Christine is about so much more than food, it is about deep health. Thank you Christine for the tools to live healthy.
Fantastic experience: After seeing my friends’ posts about how much they loved their nutrition coach I decided I’d give her a call. Why not? It was free. That call changed my life!! Christine introduced me to the concept of deep health. She helped me see that my all or nothing attitude was getting me nothing. She coached me through multiple small, sustainable changes that had a huge impact on how I look and feel. And she eliminated my pause button mentality. You know that one where you fall off the wagon on Monday at 2pm so you throw in the towel until next Monday. Or where you just take a break because it’s pumpkin spice season, thanksgiving, Christmas, vacation, summer……but I learned to “dial” vs “pause”. It’s not on and off. When you focus on total health you can dial it up or dial it back. If any of this review resonates with you give Christine a call. Invest in your health. Believe me you will save in your future health care costs.
Fantastic experience: This is such a great gym and it’s the people that make it such a welcoming space. From my initial call to the studio, Christine took the time to listen to me, asked questions, and explained everything I needed to know. There was never any pressure to decide or purchase anything, which is refreshing as they want to make sure the studio is the right fit for you first. Once I joined, Alex was my personal trainer for a few months and helped me push myself harder than I ever could have on my own. She explained the “why” behind different exercises and never shied away from fixing my form. Alex made our personal training sessions something I looked forward to (even if I didn’t show it at 8:30 am LOL) and helped me get excited about lifting heavier or simply getting better at exercises. I would do it permanently if I could - thanks Alex! After transitioning to group classes, I see familiar faces almost every class, and the instructors know almost everyone by name. They’ve built a great community here and it shows that they really care about their people.

Fantastic experience: Christine isn't just ANY coach. She is a mentor, friend, inspiration and so much more. My journey with her started out as a 3 month "lets see how I do" to "OMG I need more!. I am a pretty active woman, play all kinds of sports and ride stupid amounts of km's weekly. I hit my 40's and stuff just wasn't working for me anymore. I needed help. I was told about Christine's plan and was scared, yet frustrated. Fast-forward ....Let's just say I am now a new woman inside and out. Christine was there from the very minute, I never felt embarrassed or criticized. I learned so darn much, nutrition strength training I also learned so much about myself. Christine made me feel invincible. This program is life changing and easy to do. It quickly became a "norm". I cannot say THANK YOU ENOUGH. ❤️

Fantastic experience: Christine came into my life in February of 2022 by a recommendation from a friend. I was curious if this nutrition that my friend had taken on so I gave Christine a call and it changed my life in every single positive way imaginable! Nutrition with Christine has been the best thing I could have ever done. She takes the time to really get to know her clients and see what makes them tick. Fantastic experience: I joined The Sweatbox in the fall of 2021. I hadn't worked out in many many years, was in the worst shape of my life, and definitely never thought I would like going to a gym. It has now been over 6 months since I joined, and I love it. Everyone is so welcoming, and every workout is different. This spring I also took the 12 week nutrition course. This course and Chris' weekly check ins were incredible. I learned so much about how to properly fuel my body. I finished the course with so many new tools and a huge increase in confidence moving forward. I continue to see results by combining Sweatbox workouts and the Nutrition coaching. Thanks Sweatbox!
Fantastic experience: Personal training with Josh was the best fitness decision I could make! I trained with him twice a week for a few months, starting out pretty unfit. He has such motivating energy and makes you feel comfortable while pushing you to improve. It was such a mental shift for me to look forward to every workout and that is a testament to Josh as a trainer. The gym itself is clean and welcoming, and Chris is such a wonderful guide through your training journey. If you want to make a positive impact in your fitness and are able to invest in some PT, Josh and The Sweat Box are the way to go!
Fantastic experience: Loved the PT sessions with Josh! His energy is infectious and definitely pushes you on days you don't feel like working out. Helped me a lot get back into the rhythm of things and correcting my form. I really needed this after getting back into lifting weights almost after 3 years.

Fantastic experience: The Sweatbox has become a special place for me. Over the past year, Christine and I have met up twice per week for 1:1 personal training to work towards my fitness goals. Christine is super positive and patient and she makes sweating fun, all the while holding you accountable to your goals and to showing up for workouts! Noticing the little changes like being able to walk up a flight of steps without keeling over, to the not so little changes evident when looking in the mirror. Fantastic experience: The Sweat Box is the only place in this world that can get me out of bed at 5:45am. Chris & Marc have created such an amazing community, something Kitchener was desperately in need of, in my opinion. The gym is so clean, the people are so great, and the workouts are so killer... I feel so comfortable coming to every class, I feel genuinely supported, I've learned so much, and I actually enjoy coming to workout - because of this wonderful place. **Honestly, even pre-Covid, I was always so shocked at how sparkly clean the gym always is... I've personally watched Marc pull out that Dyson vacuum 600 times in the past two years. Haha.

The classes where truly amazing. I come from a Crossfit background and sometimes I think a break from too much competition and in a more focus exercise program is healthy. Fantastic experience: I'm loving my experience at The Sweat Box just 2 weeks in! They have impressively handled the current COVID situation with creativity in their set up and workout plans, while keeping everyone safe. The workout design is engaging and the coaches are very motivating, correcting form and ensuring you are challenged. Fantastic experience: I have had the privilege of working with Chris-the head trainer for the past 6+months... if you need a number I am down 16inch overall!!! Fantastic experience: This gym is truly the best in Kitchener! Spacious & clean space, fully equipped, wide variety of classes and workouts, very clean facilities and showers. Owned and run by local family who knows how to run fitness classes. I enjoyed a great kickass workout and had a lot of sweat and the vibe was amazing. The staff were super helpful and attentive. Highly recommended to those who want to experience a great workout and cool & motivating vibe.

Fantastic experience: Nothing is better than a workout with Chris and Marc from The Sweat Box! They not only show you proper technique but also provide an environment that is welcoming, encouraging and motivational. I never thought that I'd be able to do half the movements/exercises I can do now. They push you in the most motivational and encouraging ways! The experience here is like no other conventional gym or training facility. I love that they actually work out WITH us! Makes the whole experience feel like they are in it with you, and they are! I have had more non scale victories with Chris and Marc than any other training experience and had fun while doing it! Even during times of uncertainty they have provided support and motivation in ways that could never be expected. They also love to support local businesses like themselves which is a huge plus in my book! Can't say enough good things about these two. Can't wait to get my butt back to The Sweat Box and give them both huge hugs!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!!

There are so many class options and inspiring members that push you to do your best as well. Fantastic experience: I have been working with Christine a mere 4 weeks, attending twice per week and have experienced immediate results. One benefit was the dramatic reduction in my chronic low back pain and a decrease with my waistline. This was 2 for 2, so Christine hits it out of the park in my books!!! I can continue to hike, bike , canoe and sign up for active travels without being limited by pain or loss of strength. One of my health goals is to continue training with Christine as she has my back in healthy lifestyles. I especially love viewing her daily Instagram posts, as they keep me mindful about my health goals.

Fantastic experience: I have had the pleasure of having Christine as my personal trainer for over 15 months and have LOVED her! She keeps me coming back for more and my weightloss is now over 55lbs and going and I can honestly say she kept me toned the entire time and as motivated as anyone can make since, as I am a hard person to motivate and keep up with something like gym workouts. Fantastic experience: For every session I have always experienced a welcoming environment, lots of encouragement to succeed, and the support needed to succeed both in the gym and at home. The workouts are always really well planned, it never feels like the same workout over and over again, and my whole body gets the workout which is what I wanted. Great open lines of communication here. Not only would recommend to family and friends but I have recommend to my family and friends. I am already seeing encouraging steps forward in the right direction to my goals one month in!

Fantastic experience: Can’t say enough great things about Body by Chris. Chris is always positive, motivational, and knowledgeable. We always have a blast working out. Never thought I’d say that about work outs! One of the many things I greatly appreciate and that is priceless to me, is that Chris will make immediate adjustments for each individual based on how their body is coping with the workout. I had some preexisting knee and wrist issues, which have held me back from working out, as I was worried that I would make them worse. Chris modifies exercises or refocuses them during each session so I don’t aggravate my problem spots. I have made great progress in my fitness journey and avoided injuries thanks to making immediate adjustments during workouts. Highly recommend Chris!

Fantastic experience: I worked out with Christine 3x’s weekly, 2017-2018. She always had challenging workouts customized for my personal level of fitness. She is very confident in what she does and always has a positive attitude in dealing with her clients. I would highly recommend training with Chris.
