Fantastic experience: I’ve had memberships at Crunch and GoodLife, but I honestly prefer Durham Ultimate Fitness. Great space, good selection of machines, I love that the squat racks and deadlift platforms are in a separate room (so it doesn’t feel crowded), and most of the classes are also in a separate area. The protein shake/smoothie bar is the best. Lots of parking, and the staff are super friendly. Also love that they have reusable cloths for wiping down equipment. Sometimes finding smaller plates (5lb and 2.5lb) can be a little challenging, but other than that, nothing to complain about!

Fantastic experience: Amazing place, wow!!!! From the moment I walked in with my son, I felt I belonged here. Everyone was so welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great vibes from the start! Also, I really like the many exercise options. So far I have loved the different yoga and pilates classes and can’t wait to try the push classes too! The variety of weight training equipment was impressive as well. People there were helpful and friendly while I was exercising. My experience so far has been the very best and joining was the best decision. My only regret is not coming sooner!!

Fantastic experience: 0 stars for the grumpy woman who runs one of the fitness classes..I wasn’t in the class but was in the studio alone doing a workout with a set of dumbells when she came in to set up class ..she kept staring at me and giving me dirty looks then absolutely scolded me for not wiping down the 10lb dumbells when I put them back . We go here to relax not get yelled at. She was so rude it was crazy. I’m all for wiping down machines , mats, but I think back in 1998 we all collectively agreed we can let a dumbbell slide and it’s not worth yelling at people for not wiping one. If you want to be the wipe a dumbbell police atleast be NICE. 5 stars for literally everything and everyone else! LOL.

They have so much equipment that other gyms near by don't have and trust me I've tried all of the gyms here in bowmanville. This is by far the best one!! and another thing that they have that other gyms don't is a boost bar!! they have amazing drinks and good food options so definitely make your way there after a workout;)

It’s a family and close friend run business, so much so that everyone smiles, says hello and remembers your name. The equipment is amazing, everything you need for a good workout and the facilities are extremely clean. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Durham ultimate fitness to friends and family… or even a stranger.

Negative experience: I’m having the same issues with all the negative reviews in regards to being charged they’re trying to charge me with 1100$. I’m gonna find everyone of these people that dealt with the same issues get a group lawsuit and call some media channel and try and get this blown up so they stop doing this.

Negative experience: Scam people by purchasing them with a one year membership when they come to cancel during trial period, do not recommend and be very careful when signing up. THEY ARE UNETHICAL

Fantastic experience: Hello, This gym is amazing. The second you walk in behind the counter they have very welcoming staff. I’d like mention JACE and Matt. Great staff and they make you feel welcome every time. They both greet you with a smile and ask how your day is going. The gym is clean, amd so are the change rooms. The steam room is awesome extra perk. The last thing that sold my son on joining this, gym was the protein bar and all the different protein balls. They all have been delicious! I have been to many gyms over the years of my fitness career and this is by far the best one yet.

Fantastic experience: I just finished my work out this morning and the staff attended to a man in need outside in the parking lot. Homeless or not the staff came outside, he had been laying on the ground, it was wet, his clothes were wet and he hadn’t eaten. To say that this gym is fantastic is an understatement but to see this type of kindness and concern for another human being was truly amazing. They took him inside and made sure he had a smoothie or something to eat. Man, there is still hope in humanity. Bravo Ultimate fitness for showing the ULTIMATE compassion for a person in need.
