Fantastic experience: Only in Montreal for a few weeks, I came here for one class with Laura and ended up booking a membership for the rest of my time! She is one of the best fitness teachers I’ve ever had - loved Hot Barre. Also enjoyed the reformer pilates I took and the use of the general gym on the first floor. Really nice locker rooms etc. Cons: Some of the staff at the front desk can be a bit unwelcoming, which is unfortunate for a gym, and the construction happening outside made it a bit annoying to get to class each day. But for me, the classes were worth it.
Fantastic experience: So clean and beautiful! Feels luxurious. Ive only gone for yoga/barre classes and always have a great experience. The changing rooms are well stocked, the sauna is clean and so is the whole space.
Negative experience: I arrived 5 minutes late because there was construction and they closed many of the streets that connect to the gym. The girl at the reception in a rude tone told me "I think it's too late and maybe you won't get into class" first and last time.
Fantastic experience: In Montreal for the week and wanted to test a gym. Loved my experience at B52! Booked a pilates reformer class with Holly and she was great! Really high level like the reformer pilates classes I do in Paris! The amenities are beautiful, high end machines! Love the smoothie bar also. Front of desk was super nice! Would go again

Negative experience: Worst experience I ever had. There was construction and was unable to get anywhere near the gym. The person on the phone told me that she is not a navigation system when I was asking her for help on how to get at the gym by car. Definitely would not recommend going there to anyone as the admin was rude and not compassionate at all. I wasted 20 min trying to get there. Oh and I was also not advised there was construction blocking off the street. Disappointed from the disrespect I received, how I was treated and the wasted time.
Fantastic experience: Amazing experience with Daeva! Hot Vinyasa flow this morning was exactly the pick me up I needed. She’s incredibly skilled and knows just what to demonstrate to get the most out of each position! The facilities were spectacular. Downstairs smoothie bar, upstairs women’s locker with many amenities- shower, lockers, seating, get ready stations, water fountain, bathrooms. Very chic! Easy to navigate and the hot yoga room was decorated nicely and the perfect temperature. ♀️ (The locker room was completely empty so I took a few pictures to show off how pristine the area was! Probably one of the best I’ve been to.) Code locked lockers for easy storage, no personal lock required. Will be returning.
Fantastic experience: The facilities here are great - the trainers are very knowledgeable and Annabelle and Ashley make the best smoothies and take care of their clients.
Negative experience: It’s raining today. My class starts at 9:00 and I arrived at 9:04 , which is still within grace period. The front desk is very arrogant. They said they are doing me a favor for checking me in so I don’t need to pay for the late fee. Which is ridiculous because I am not late for checking in.
Fantastic experience: This gym is sleek, clean, and has everything you need. The sauna is a godsend, and I love that the locker rooms have automatic locks. Showers and changing areas are bright and spacious, fully stocked with convenience from shampoo, conditioner, body wash, razors, deodorant to towels. No need to bring anything! Classes are challenging but fun as most people here are on a similar level of fitness or very motivated to be fit. Again, you just show up as the instructors set everything up for you! Worth braving even multiple snowstorms for. They actually read reviews. The receptionist (the one who got complaints) is friendlier now. Feels like they’re listening and improving!
Fantastic experience: Love everyone at this gym. The girls at the front are so kind and sweet. I always feel so welcomed when I arrive. All the trainers are also so good. They keep me very motivated all the time love this gym sooooo much. fave place ever
Fantastic experience: I've been going to many different gym around the world in the past 10 years and B52 is from far the best of all. Not only it is always clean and tidy but the staff is offering a incredible experience. Super welcoming, always keen to help and answer your questions. B52 changed my wellness journey for the best. From the management, coaches, front desk or even the cleaning team, I've only met incredible people. So yes, B52 might be the best gym in town.

Negative experience: You really have to be careful with this gym. I registered with them two years ago. At first, I called to pause my membership, and they said it was fine. But they didn’t actually pause it for two months and still charged me. What’s even worse is that while I was traveling—during the time my membership was supposed to be on hold—I saw charges on my account for coffee or shakes I never bought. Within six months, they changed their class booking app twice, using two completely different systems. Then they started charging fees if you missed a class, even if you had already paid for it, on top of your regular membership and class fees. The steam sauna is almost always out of order, but they still include it in your membership as if it works, so you end up paying extra for something you can’t even use. Now they’ve emailed me saying they charge $3 just to use a towel. And I’m not even a registered member anymore. The worst part is, I haven’t been to this gym for over a year and a half, but they’re still trying to charge me. This place really feels like a scam. Oh, and I almost forgot—without any warning, they opened the lockers. When we asked where our belongings were, they just said, “We cleaned the lockers. Go look for your stuff in the lost basket.” Unbelievable.

Negative experience: Terrible staff/system. They didn’t let me participate in a boxing classes I had booked because I was 10 minutes late due to the terrible parking situation around the gym (construction etc). I had booked the class via ClassPass and there was NOTHING on there about a “5 minute grace period”. If it’s so strictly imposed, it should be mentioned. This is disrespectful of our time and energy. I have booked this class 3 times and 2/3 times the receptionist has given me a hard time about a “rule” that was mentioned nowhere. It seems like they “make up” the rules on the fly, as I am 100% sure I have seen people come in the class much later than 5 minute grace period in the 3 times I was there. EDIT: they now suddenly added the grace period rule on their class pass, AFTER I missed my class… Neat. They made a mistake but they let the customer pay the price. Not surprised they have so many negative comments on their staff/management.

Our classes are 45 minutes long, and out of respect for both the clients already in class and the instructor, we have a policy that we cannot allow entry after the first 5 minutes. While this policy has always been in place and is noted on our Mindbody platform, we apologize for not having it reflected on ClassPass sooner. We’ve now made sure that it's visible for future bookings.
Regarding parking, we offer free parking in our back parking lot for our members, and B52 visitors also have access to the free parking in front of the gym. However, spaces are limited, especially with the ongoing construction around the area. We encourage all our clients to plan ahead to ensure they can arrive on time.

Negative experience: I woke up today will full intention of going to my 8am barre class, however I woke up to the weather being unexpectedly snowy and wet outside. I called to ask if it would be okay to cancel and to waive the 15$ cancellation fee. I explained how I don’t feel comfortable driving in this weather especially since I have already put on my summer tires. I was told that I would still have to pay this fee regardless since it’s within the two hour window. I re-explained my situation and I was told “it’s only a bit wet outside”. Meanwhile I live a 25-30 minute drive away and from my window it’s coming down heavy. The person on the phone was extremely rude and could not care less about the safety of the gym members. I’m actually so disappointed by this response. I’ve had to cancel last minute due to snow storms for other gyms and I was always waived the fee and told to stay safe! What a disgusting response from a gym that I truly did like going to.

Negative experience: I had a very disappointing experience with this business, mainly due to the receptionist’s rude and unprofessional behavior. From the moment I walked in, she had an attitude, rolled her eyes, and made me feel like I was inconveniencing her just by being there. There was zero effort to be helpful or welcoming. Beyond the poor customer service, the business itself is extremely disorganized. It feels like their main priority is getting your money in the most unethical and sneaky way possible, rather than providing honest and reliable service. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone looking for professionalism and integrity.
Negative experience: Very rude staff. The blonde girl at reception rolled her eyes at us. Ruined the experience of coming there for the first time. I don't recommend and I will never come again. Fix your employees.
Negative experience: Avoid This Gym – Poor Management & Overpriced I strongly advise against joining this gym. I requested to cancel my membership in November, notifying them by phone, email, and in person. Despite this, they kept charging me and gave me conflicting information every time I tried to resolve it. To make things worse, no one ever mentioned that, in addition to the extra charges after cancellation, I would also have to pay a $200 cancellation fee. This was never disclosed upfront, making it feel like a deliberate scam to squeeze more money out of members. For the high prices they charge, you’d expect honesty and better management. Instead, they hide fees, ignore requests, and give the runaround. Think twice before signing up—there are much better gyms out there with fair policies and better Atmosphere.
Negative experience: I don’t usually do this but I am very frustrated by the service offered for the amount I paid my membership. I bought the 3 month pass 800$ with tax to have the reformer pilates classes included. I do not live in the neighborhood at all and it takes me 30min+ to get there. This morning I booked a class for the reformer pilates at 11:30, I got there early around 11 just to get told by the person at the desk « no stress but the class is cancelled ». I understand sometimes life comes up but to this time we didn’t receive any communication about the class being cancelled. The receptionist then proceed to tell me very awkwardly that I could use the gym or whatever but since I had planned to do pilates I didn’t have any indoor shoes. I wasn’t offered any compensation or even excuses whatsoever and I find that very irritating knowing that if I were to not show up to class without cancelling 24h prior I would have been charged 15$ IN ADDITION to my membership.
Fantastic experience: As military guy this gym is awesome
Negative experience: Terrible service for what you pay. They're system is flawed all around and they are too proud to admit it. They overcharged me for classes I did not miss simply because they did not check me in correctly and refused to correct the mistake. You can get alot more for what you pay for with significantly better service elsewhere
Negative experience: Very overpriced for what you get, and the men's locker rooms are always dirty - The showers constantly have bugs and flies. The steam sauna has been broken for the last two years, and I've notified management about the bugs but they keep coming back.
Negative experience: The first gym I went to in saint Henri and won’t come back. The facilities are nice but it is still overpriced for what you get, considering gym and classes are its own membership separately (and if you want both it’s ridiculously expensive). Also don’t like the atmosphere in the women locker room, feels like everyone is competing against each other, no friendliness. I had bought a pass before covid that completely disappeared from my mindbody app (all other passes in other gyms never expired) and I was supposed to get a call back to get them back, which never happened…but truth be told, I don’t like it enough there to come back and fight to get those classes back.
Negative experience: It's disappointing that one person's actions could overshadow the hard work of the rest of the business. I had an excellent experience with Naomi (apologies if I misspelled the name) at the counter. She was professional, kind, and helpful. But things went downhill from there... Three of us were locked out of our lockers, and they had lost the backup key. I then encountered complications with my knee surgery rehab, delaying my healing. I reached out to pause my membership for 2-3 weeks, especially given the $275 monthly fee. However, the individual on the phone insisted on a doctor's note and had a horrible attitude. It's evident that I've been walking around the gym with a knee brace and crutches—this isn't a high school to demand a doctor's note! Unfortunately, this experience led me to cancel my membership.
We would like to address the concerns you raised. When you called to pause your membership, our employee was following our established suspension protocol within your contract, which requires a doctor's note. This is a standard procedure to ensure that all requests are handled fairly and consistently. You were also offered the flexibility to provide any type of proof, such as emails or appointment confirmations, which you did not want to provide. Whilst she remained professional you unfortunately showed a negative attitude and said demeaning remarks.
Regarding the locker incident, it is important to note that while our employee was looking for the backup key you broke the screen door of the locker damaging gym property.

Fantastic experience: Starting with the positives, I must say the facility is impressive! Montreal, however, seems to lack essential services like quality schools and healthcare, which I believe is more of a city and province concern. After thorough research on Montreal gyms, it's challenging to find many good options. Yet, I'm genuinely content with this gym for several reasons. Pros: ️♂️ Diverse range of equipment Welcoming receptionists Clean, bright, and spacious changing and locker rooms, equipped with hair dryers and styling tools Free parking available (I've always found a spot, though it might be due to my timing) On the flip side: No pool (considering the monthly cost, I expected one) Membership is pricey, whether with or without a contract ️ The location lacks appeal; for the premium, I anticipated scenic views of the city, water, or rivers A friendly note: It would be great to see improvements like more Kleenex instead of just the rough brown paper. Also, kindly refrain from requesting members to give 5-star reviews; focus on addressing concerns for authentic feedback. If you handle issues well, those 5-stars will naturally follow. Fantastic experience: This is a hidden GEM in Montreal. You think you've entered a Starbucks, but NO! It is just their beautiful reception desk. The equipment and gym, the facility itself is so clean. The locker rooms are just clean and luxurious with everything you need to get ready for work after your workout. You have the option between the steam room or the dry sauna and do not worry because they have plenty of clean fresh towels at your disposal! The gym extends onto the second floor where you find all the classrooms for all the different classes and services they offer such as pilates, boxing, bootcamp, yoga, stretching etc... and the list continues. Wtv your needs are or goals, their professional staff and coaches will ensure that your experience and goals are met in complete comfort having as much fun as possible doing it!! Come through and check it out for yourself! Signing up was the best decision I've made for my health.

Fantastic experience: I cant express how much I enjoy every class I’ve been too! The trainers push you but in the best possible ways ! I’ve mainly been to Maggie and Olha’s classes and I can’t get enough !! They’re incredible. I don’t doubt that the other trainers and classes are as amazing !
Positive experience: Gorgeous and impressive faculties, but man, admin staff are incompetent and rude. I spelled my name to her three times and she got it wrong. Overall unpleasant and very cliquey demeanour. Massage with Nick was decent and very affordable.
Positive experience: Just moved to the area so visited a few gyms including this one. Very nice looking place and friendly staff, but hardly any justification for the astronomical monthly membership cost. Standard machines (although newer and clean), no pool, no indoor parking, limited weekend hours, and only 2 classes included per month. I’ve worked out at nicer gyms with more amenities for half the price. Elitist vibes with not much special to offer, besides an effective means to filter out average to upper-middle income people if you’re interested in that.
Positive experience: I will start by saying the facility is nice. In general it seems Montreal is lacking in these basic services, like having good schools and health care but that’s the city & province issue. I researched a bunch of gyms in Montreal and there isn’t a handful of good gyms to pick from to start with but seem happy with this gym so far. Pro’s Good range of equipments Friendly receptionists Clean, bright, and spacious changing and locker rooms (well kitted with hair dryers and other hair styling equipments. (towels provided though I don’t use them for hygiene purposes) but please add more Kleenex not just the rough brown paper you have. Free Parking around (I’ve been able to get parking when I go but that could because of the time i go but regardless it’s free parking) Cons No pool ( for the price of the monthly contract , i would expect it) Expensive membership (with or without contract) The area isn’t the best (again charging such a high premium I would expect the location to have views of the city/ water /rivers etc…) On a side note: please don’t ask for members to give your gym five star reviews( rather ask for a honest review) if you care about reviews address the issues as best as you can then the 5*’s will come naturally.

Fantastic experience: B52 is a beautiful gym with all the amenities you’d expect from a high end and trendy gym. They offer a variety of classes at many different times and the staff is always welcoming. I also highly recommend Kylie for a deep tissue massage and myofascial release. She’s done wonders for me and is very knowledgeable.

Positive experience: This gym is great. « Technogym » vs « Precor ». From my liking, PRECOR is built to last. Lockers sets apart from, the typical, “everyday” standard. It feels roomy/spacious, when you trained, no musty effect ! A surprising fact ; the amount of natural light. Keep up the good work

Positive experience: Small and intimate gym, with very friendly staff and engaging trainers. Very upscale space, state of the art machines and a fun but hard working atmosphere.
Fantastic experience: B52: Luxury at its best! B52 has only been open for a few months, but people are already talking about this gym with great enthusiasm. The design itself is worth a visit! Different rooms have been arranged on 2 floors to accommodate the different classes offered: yoga studio, boxing studio, spinning room and more. The mainroom is equipped with intelligent machines where you can connect your phones to get all your stats. The spa look locker rooms are ideal to recover after a hard training. B52 is definitely a place where you will want to spend a few hours to sweat, then rest!
Fantastic experience: This is one of the most fabulous gyms I have ever seen in my life. It's a hidden gem in Montreal. Their change rooms have steam rooms with essential oil and they smell marvelous. Membership is VERY pricey but you do get what you pay for. Wow!
