Grand Master Mr. Kim not only teaches self defence but morals and respect teachings as well. I remember how respected and prestigious Jong Kim Taekwondo was growing up as a kid in Surrey in the 90’s. So it was my first and only choice that I wanted to put my son in. At first my son was pumped, and he was showing everyone his ninja moves. However when he realized that this requires discipline, patients, listening and hard work; he was ready to give up. My wife and I would literally carry him into class. We didn’t want him to give up too soon. This is where I got to meet Master Kim and realized how powerful this man really is. His power is in his words. He asked how I was doing and I was open and said my work was slow. Master Kim gave me a very powerful talk. He was honest, supportive and most of all kind. One day out of the blue he reached out with some advice. I listened to him and my work started booming again. In the 90s I was afraid to join his Gym because I was a shy kid and thought he would be mean. Now that I met him, I know I have a Master for life. …..oh ya, you are probably wondering about my son. It’s been 6 months and he is in love with karate. He asks me regularly, “are we going to karate today?” On a side note, while he’s in karate class, I listen to audio books and walk in the massive parking lot. Rain, sun or snow I walk. So joining Jong Kim Taekwondo has been beneficial to both me and my son. Thank you Master Kim!
