Expérience fantastique: Wanted to thank RITU at the front desk for exceptional help with my membership.She was dealing with complaints related to power outage still she managed everything smoothly and had gym open again within 10 minutes after the power was restored.Her professionallalism in handling issues was truly impressive.

Expérience négative: I had a very disappointing experience at this location. Despite the power being restored after 1 PM, the facility remained “temporarily closed due to an outage,” with no updates or communication from the staff. We waited outside in the cold for hours, and no one informed us of what was happening. It’s frustrating that staff member Ritu and the team didn’t bother to update or address the situation. Poor customer service and lack of accountability.

Expérience négative: I’m really disappointed with the customer service at this gym. The front desk staff are unprofessional and unhelpful. On multiple occasions, they’ve been dismissive of my concerns and seem more interested in chatting among themselves than assisting members. Also, they rarely greet you or even make eye contact, which creates an unwelcoming atmosphere. Especially the girl, I think who is shift leader here in the evening shift. For the price of this gym, I expected better service. I’m considering canceling my membership because of this.

Expérience négative: I’ve been a member of this gym for a while, and while the facilities are decent, the customer service is severely lacking. The staff at the front desk are often rude and dismissive, making me feel like my concerns are an inconvenience. On multiple occasions, I’ve asked for help, though received incomplete or unhelpful responses. One staff member even asked me not to sit on the sofas reason they gave that it is only for black card members only, though it was sitting idle inside. It’s clear they don’t prioritize member satisfaction. A gym is more than its equipment—it’s about the experience, and that starts with how the staff treats its members. Until they improve their attitude and communication skills, I cannot recommend this place.

Expérience négative: Their staff started mentally harassing me just for merely a payment of 1.00cad which got delayed due to lack of knowledge of their newly hired staff and the colleagues started using abusive language. Upon reaching out to manager, he said he is not supposed to do anything regarding that.

Expérience négative: Gym equipment is decent. Short on a few machines. The biggest issue there is the unsanitary conditions. The male washroom smells of urine masked with a weak cleaning effort. No where to go in this gym without the constant smell of body odour. Perhaps a cultural issue as 90% of the members are of a certain ethnic group. Regardless everyone signs a contract that clearly states how important cleanliness is. A definite failed management system who are the ones that are responsible for reminding members to shower and use deodorant as they offend others with their stench. I have been to multiple PF locations and have never had to deal with this before. I have gone there as it is close to my home . But will be going to another location as I don’t want to have to plug my nose every time I workout. This location is absolutely disgusting and I would never recommend it to anyone. King George location near value village.

Expérience négative: NOBODY wears deodorant at this gym. It stinks very very badly. Equipment is ok. CLUB16 is better. Good gym for drop in tho if you are gym addict like myself. Grateful it is open 24hr.

Expérience négative: I was a member for many years before covid, it was a decent place minus the overcrowded atmosphere. I had an issue with one of the trainers a couple of times. He wanted me to not use equipment when he was training ppl, haha! Fully paid membership so I’ll do as I pay for. I left eventually, covid started hitting and NoBody ever cleans the equipment. I’ll rejoin if enrolment is waived & not much crowding

Expérience négative: If you work out in this location, there's a significant risk of theft. The lack of cameras in the locker room makes it easy for someone to break in and steal your belongings. It's important to be cautious and consider alternatives for securing your items.

Expérience négative: Very poor customer service.Employees always standing and talking while people waiting for question.You call and ask for manager if they know what you are calling for you are always told manager is on vacation.Manager is very rude too.They give you wrong information about things and later charge you extra all kinds of fee. I can’t stop anyone from going there but I will not recommend this place.

Expérience positive: Too busy! If feels like a market sometimes. It gets so loud with only the voices. If they have a maximum capacity, they should lower their number. No enough space for floor exercises. I have seen people escaping to hidden corners. Groups of young guys seatting , chatting and posesing the machines. Not a place to go after a busy day of work. Or course, go and work out on a not busy time and you are okay. Good machines. True. Nice people. True. Massages chairs and others. Good! Parking. Good enough.

Expérience positive: I have lived in the Newton area for over 20 years or so,and I remember when this building was the old bingo hall, it's a big building with lots of free parking or only a short walk from Newton exchange so it's pretty convenient

Expérience négative: I am dissatisfied with the service I received and feel that I was treated with disrespect When we first visited the gym, the staff member provided us with information and a tour of the facility. She informed us that if you have a Black Card and the primary member is present, guests could use the hydro-massage room. She also mentioned that if the primary member not available, guests could still access and use other amenities. However, when I visited the gym the day before yesterday, the receptionist told me that if the primary member is not present, guests cannot use any of the amenities. I kindly request that you provide clear and consistent information to all customers. I felt disrespected when I was denied access by the receptionist, as it contradicted the information I was initially given.

Expérience négative: Worst gym in Surrey. The staff need to do more to prevent misuse of machines which results in broken equipment. The staff also do not enforce putting weights back or bench’s back. The only upside is it’s cheap and 24/7 but when enter the gym you don’t feel like coming back due to the smells and poor upkeep.

She came across as rude and arrogant, with little respect for how to speak to members. Her attitude was dismissive and unprofessional, making it clear she doesn’t value customer service. Expérience négative: I went a several locations of Planet Fitness. Here in Surrey, located at Newton area, Nobody wipes after use and no staff manages hygiene AT ALL at the gym. Hundreds of ppl' sweats uncleaned on the equipments. I have to clean BEFORE and AFTER use.

Expérience négative: My experience at Planet Fitness Newton was very disappointing. The front desk employee, SATGAM, was shockingly rude and unprofessional, which really ruined my visit. The gym is also constantly overcrowded, making it nearly impossible to use the equipment. Overall, this location falls short on both customer service and providing a enjoyable workout environment.

Expérience négative: Awful experience. Overcrowded gym, requiring you to wait in line to use equipment. Even the locker room was crowded and my stuff got stollen hanging on the hook outside the shower while I was actively showering. Complained to the front desk and asked about security cameras, they obviously don’t have them in the locker rooms which is understandable, but the front desk woman said it wasn’t uncommon for this to happen and I should have put my shower bag in a locker?? Unhelpful and not apologetic or sympathetic. Wouldn’t recommend going here.

Expérience négative: BEWARE! Cancelled my membership before the yearly fee was due but they still took my fee out. I had multiple phone conversations with staff that told me I can cancel anytime up to the day before the yearly fee comes out and they would not take the fee out. However today the fee came out and I had cancelled. Even when I came in on Sunday the lady told me the fee will not be coming out as I cancelled before July 1st. They are trying to say someone told me to cancel 7 days ahead but I have never been told that on multiple phone calls I made. They said they don't have recorded calls as I have had multiple phone conversations in the past 2 weeks for proof of what the staff told me. I want the yearly fee to be refunded but they refuse. This is NOT right at all.

Expérience négative: Great Gym and worth paying the membership and love working out here the only thing is that the front customer service.. Staff needs to be more attentive when on shift! Everyone has relationships weither personal or social. But when on shift just make sure that everyone is being taking care of and you as front workers take care of everyone needs and your friendship conversations are outside the gym.. I pay my membership not to be ignored and you get paid to do your part of your job.

The place is spacious but I consider poorly organized, I have attended at different times and even at rush hour 30-40% of the treadmills or cardio machines are free, that space could be used to include more free weight machines for legs, chest and arms. While it is true that the floor is not dirty with papers on the floor, the place permanently smells very bad, they should take measures in that aspect because it affects the desire to train comfortably.

Expérience positive: Now my experience here may be a little different than the average patron. I would frequent this gym in the summer between 11pm - 2am. This being a 24hr gym is something I really liked as I was able to go whenever my scheduale allowed it. Its a planet fitness, so there wasn't every piece of equipment that I would have wanted, but thats ok. It has the basics and thats what matters. The place would usually have around 30 people in it the times that I went and everyone was very clean and respectful towards the staff and equipment. The staff themselves just kind of stand at the door and chat. This would upset me but their job really is to just let people in, so they don't really have much responsability. Anyways, the gym is good, the people are nice and it has all the basic gym equipement you would need.

Expérience positive: Very busy, men crowd the machines and there is a long wait for most pieces of equipment. It usually smells badly of body odor at the more crowded parts. Overall it's a nice gym with great staff, they keep it really clean, I wish my availability allowed me to come at dead hours.

Expérience fantastique: I am a member of Canada and USA PF. Compared to USA PF, I see the staff here in Canada are more friendly and cooperative. The front desk staff assisted me with kindness and always with a smile. Sometimes, I see some rude customers who do not want to follow PF rules and the front desk staff have a tough time dealing with them, and I feel very sorry for front desk associates. In any circumstances, the PF staff always behave professionally and help the customers. Yesterday I saw one such situation and Ritu was able to handle it with the utmost professionalism. Thanks PF I love this place.

Expérience négative: Do not join this gym. They say hassle free but when you cancel your membership they continue to charge your card and when you come in to get them to reverse your charge they say “oh that was the last time” even though the charge is days after you have cancelled. Also don’t bother trying to contact head office because they will just give you the run around and say you need to go in to the gym to deal with it. 0/10 customer service 10/10 will scam you out of your money

I canceled my gym membership on 3 days before it’s renewal, they still charged next month fee onto my account. So basically it’s of no use for me. On top of the monthly there’s a yearly charge. I don’t get it They have trash membership plans. There are way better places forks. Please do not waste your time, energy, and money.
