Expérience négative: This place has gone down hill quickly , the entire staff is made up of college kids who care about nothing but socializing . The cleanliness is absolutely atrocious, the sauna is disgusting and never cleaned, mold growing on the walls with a nasty smell. Equipment always broken and or not working properly.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going here for two months and it's a very good gym. A big plus is that there is a lot of equipment here, which in other gyms you have to buy separately. Also the staff here is very nice. Especially I want to thank Daria, she helped me to connect a membership with the best conditions and explained everything. Conclusion If you want to come to a good gym, you should pay attention to Goodlife Grant.

Expérience fantastique: I visited a lot of gym in my life but this gym stolen my heart. Honesty , i really like to be a member of this community. I would like mention Daria , she did good offer . Thank to her me and my husband keened on to start our gym journey. She is a good seller. Also, Brosnan Vilar creates a for me gym program. Expérience négative: The front staff here are the worst I'm here to work out before I go to the airport. I had a 22-inch suit case and asked if I could put it on the counter while I was working out, but they said “no” They didn't explain any obvious reasons and they just seemed to be bothered So I asked again, "You don't have to protect my suit case, but can I just put my suit case next to the shoe rack?" And they said no again Other members cared about me, asked the staff, is there space for a suit case or a locker, but they said “No” I always leave my suitcases at the front as I travel a lot, but I've never been so rejected. It was my worst experience ever and the time I went through this there was 12:35 p.m. on July 30. I wrote down my review without a lie

Expérience fantastique: It was a really amazing experience there. Amazing club, for fitness training. Very friendly receptionists and overall team. Specially I have personal training with Kendal, he is really professional and I like training with him. All trainers in the classes was amazing my favourite is yoga, body pump and Zumba. Thank you so much Daria for giving an amazing deal and creating my membership very fast. I really enjoyed my fitness experience there.

Expérience négative: I signed up for training sessions in October 2023, which were fantastic! Unfortunately, I had to cancel the sessions in February 2024 as I lost my job. Per the agreement, I had to pay 20% of the remaining sessions as financial hardship is not considered a good enough reason to be let out of the contract. Go GL customer service. It gets worse. I put my cancellation in writing to the corporate email I was given and was told that I had to pay the penalty, but not how. I was not sent an invoice for the cancellation fee. I was not given a process to follow or a phone number to call. So I continued to pay my installments assuming they were going against my penalty balance....not so much. The saga continues! GL does not care about you, they care about their money and will make it VERY DIFFICULT to get out of your contract! I haven't been to the gym since March because of how aweful they have been.

Expérience fantastique: This is the best gym. The staff are so friendly, every time you come in it feels like they're your own personal cheerleaders to keep at it. It is set up very well for beginners, they have a section of weight machines set up apart from the gym bro weight section so its not intimidating with excellent instruction signs for how to use the machines and in what order. They also have a range of different classes included with your membership. The instructors will even talk to you in the gym to tell you about their classes and invite you to them. The classes are really informative and the instructors are always happy to give advice after a class.

Expérience fantastique: Obviously I love this gym. Been coming here for years and still come here all the time. But this gym for some reason never plays Jets games on their million TVs they have here. I never see a jets game being televised and they’d rather play random tv shows with subtitles instead. It’s especially annoying when there’s a jets game on and I’m doing cardio, I’d like to be able to watch it. Ranting aside, still a great gym and I highly recommend. Equipment and service is great.

Expérience négative: Used to always goto this location but recently, it's become so dirty, cleanliness is definitely not one of their priorities, the sauna smelt putrid almost vomited upon opening the door and sitting for 30 sec, this is so unfortunate as I used to love coming to this location, I'm not one to complain but I felt this wasn't the first time I've experienced this at this location and it's become the norm here which really sucks, good life I really expected better from you but they're becoming like shapes, putting profits over customer experiences, as it seems like in other reviews other customers are leaving as well

Expérience négative: Very good Location and equipment. Perhaps the staff is terrible, so unprofessional. I went to this location yesterday Jan 3rd, 2024 evening around 8 PM. A couple of Filipino employees were standing there as they were chilling at home, with no manners, and no customer service etiquette. I felt like they just wanted to get rid of me as soon as possible.

Expérience négative: Don’t recommend this gym, inconsistent communication & service We’ve been members back jn Calgary, and unfortunately the service is far from that. Tried signing up for the membership 3 times, and each time heard a different response and policies. At first, we couldn’t get in because of system issues, we came back the second time and purchased the membership for 77$, monthly payment (not the subscription). Today we received a different information that it is actually 97$+taxes, eventually we cancelled,because the communication was off, and it is frustrating to experience that approach. My feeling is if we come back tomorrow, it is going to be 130$. Don’t recommend

Expérience négative: I was just there yesterday night, when a very embarrassing and horrible experience occurred. Basically I was just about to wrap up my visit finished working out, went to the changing room and just about to head out. The guy who cleans the facility was EXTREMELY OBNOXIOUS. from(body language, tone of voice, facial expression and to attitude) it was a mess. This guy was inside the men’s locker when i got in there I saw TRASH CANS sitting on the benches like we don’t sit on them. That’s unsanitary and repulsive. I accidentally dropped the trash on the floor as I sat down on one of the benches and as a respect I picked up the trash and put them back in trash can. I got my hands dirty so I had to wash them, minute after the cleaner aggressive approached me and told that he had already SPRAYED the sink and so he questioned me why I was using it, so I explained what happened and then he got so upset and gave me attitude and ordered me to use the other washroom which is all the way from the other side of the building”OVER A SPRAY” this guy even told me that he is the “SUPERVISOR” not only rude and unpleasant but also a HUGE LIAR. if only I can talk to the head office or some sort because this guy works in a customer service and acts like he’s doing chores at his own house treating customers like we are a burden for him. this is extremely frustrating and sad at the same time.

Expérience négative: I used to come here all the time last year until i went travelling for half a year. Now I’m back and the place is always a mess, i.e. towels all on the floor in the men’s change room, no soap in the majority of the showers, towels there too, weights everywhere never organized, wrong equipment in the wrong places. I understand minimum wage went up but there should really be someone checking this stuff on an hourly basis. The people are lovely (2 stars) but management needs to do something about some regular loving and tidying up to the space. This goodlife specifically has taken some steps back compared to the others in the city. Hope it gets better, i enjoy coming to this one in the evenings when i can’t get to the one downtown after work.

Expérience fantastique: Had great experience in Goodlife Grant. I sign up my wife previous week. We have come from Ukraine 2 months ago and we still don't have good English. The Fitness Advisor Lina help us out signing a membership to my wife as she speaks Ukrainian/Russian, good experience and understanding. The manager Lee was also very friendly and answered all our questions. We would strongly recommend this gym to any new comers! Very welcoming and friendly!

Я оставляю жалобу на менеджера (женщину) этого спорт зала . Возможно она не захотела со мной общаться из за того что я украинка. Я считаю что это дискриминация . Сайт НЕ РАБОТАЛ весь день , из за чего мне не могли поменять абонемент и я вынуждена буду заплатить сумму в 2 раза больше чем должна была заплатить ! На ресепшене стоит по 5 человек из которых никто не может помочь в решении проблемы !!! Украинцам не рекомендую этот спорт зал City of Winnipeg. Grant park. Faced with a boorish attitude in my opinion. On my request to call the manager, the manager replied "I don't want to go out". And she didn't come out. I leave a complaint against the manager (woman) of this gym. Perhaps she did not want to communicate with me because I am Ukrainian. I think this is discrimination. The site DID NOT WORK all day, because of which they could not change my subscription and I will have to pay an amount 2 times more than I had to pay! There are 5 people at the reception, of which no one can help in solving the problem !!! I do not recommend this gym to Ukrainians

Expérience positive: Saturday yoga with Michelle is worth the price of membership alone. Facility is cool, pretty similar wherever you go for a GoodLife. If you can't make yoga with Michelle S, check out Julia J's class. She ain't no Michelle by a country mile but her class is aight!

Expérience négative: I’ll say definitely I like GoodLife in other areas but never in this area. I purchased my 7 sessions personal training classes in February and no one never tell me I can only get the refund in 10 days, what they say is if you don’t use any sessions I can get my refund anytime. Today the fitness manager called me and I was just discussing this with her, she is the rudest person I ever seen my life she just said it is rules and when I’m talking, she hang out the phone and said goodbye immediately totally ignoring what I said. The other manager is pretty rude as well as I explain the whole thing to her. I have never seen any service who treat customers like this in my whole life. I’ll say I really like GoodLife in other areas but except this one. I hope these d**kh**d managers can know what they are doing, which really ruin my good impression for the good employees. I would rather run 1000 meters in the winter rather tha going to this gym again.

Expérience positive: Good location and clean. The staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Special shout out to personal trainer, Tyler, for being so helpful, understanding and encouraging! The women's locker room is nice and spacious and there are always lockers available. I appreciate the two private change rooms as well. For anyone wondering, this location has a sauna, multiple individual shower stalls, hair dryers, and massage chairs out on the floor. The only downside is the free-weights area can be quite busy and getting a bench can prove difficult during busier hours. Some may also find their hours of operation less ideal. They are 24/4, not 24/7. Thankfully it doesn't affect me personally, but throwing it out there for whoever may find the info useful.

Expérience négative: We had an extremely POOR experience at Goodlife. I am a member in Alberta and there is an active policy that allows members to bring in a guest for the first time for free. We went to Goodlife and were told conflicting details by the front staff. They asked us to wait for 2 minutes until the sales manager could have a chat with us to decide if he would waive the drop in fee. We waited for more than 20 minutes before getting upset and leaving. The staff did not give a clear timeline of how long we would have to wait. We found out the Sales Manager was sitting right beside us giving a sales pitch. I highly suggest the front staff is better trained on the policies of the company to clear and decisive decision on drop-ins in order to not waist paying members time as we drove 20 minutes out of our way to get there. The policies of the company should be aligned as I am a paying member in AB.

Expérience positive: Grant park gym is one of the well maintained gym out of any GoodLife gym I have been to in Winnipeg. It's washrooms and overall floor area is always cleaned and never smelly. Staff is nice and equipmens are well maintaine. Highly recommended

Expérience fantastique: Been a member for 7 years now! I've tried a few other gyms in the city and GoodLife is by far the cleanest. Sometimes it's a little busy but there's always a machine or weight available, and the classes they offer are always fantastic.

Expérience positive: Solid goodlife location. Always lots of room on the equipment. Could definitely use more adjustable benches and a larger free weight section as that area is full and has a wait 90% of the time. Maybe add some along the wall by the handicap washroom with more mirrors.

Expérience fantastique: A gym that really lifts you up! Front staff remember my name and help motivate me for the day, they seem to remember everyone! I routinely see staff cleaning equipment and they continue to motivate us as they clean!

Expérience négative: Broken machines since 2021, out of commission water fountain for about a month now. Just 1 working water station for the entire gym facility. Friendly staff except one lady who works at the front desk and always gives every gym patron a hard time.

Expérience fantastique: Joined a month ago and I’m loving it. My only complain would be the weekend hours (F -S). It would be nice if the gym actually opened 24/7. Probably the only big gym in the city that closes 8PM on weekends.

Expérience négative: They were offering free freezes due to covid, but as soon as the vaccine passport came and I wasnt allowed to enter anymore. They still charge me, they dont care about their clients, just money and themselves. I would have cancelled the membership if the gym wasnt 100 steps from my house.
Hi Eleyas, we are sorry that you feel this way. We sent notice to members in July announcing the complimentary freeze option would end on Aug 31. This was prior to the vaccine mandate in your region being announced. Members have the option of placing a contractual freeze on their membership regardless of reason (as one is not required to freeze).

Expérience positive: great gym but you guys should mayyybe look into having a shoes policy on the gym floor or at the very least socks. seeing people barefoot on the mat area is just not a vibe when people are laying there afterwards and what not. seems unnecessarily unsanitary
