Expérience négative: Had taken out a week long trial pass to utilize the gym and they intended not to honour it. After arguing with them to honour the pass I found the gym was far to tightly packed with some non-operational equipment blocking your way. After finally using the gym for a couple days I decided that the prices and the lack of any amenity’s are far too poor for anyone.
Expérience négative: I would give this place zero stars if I could. Don't waste your time or money on this gym. They had to close the gym during pandemic and as a consequence they extended my contract and payments without even informing me. Zero consideration of covid-19, people not wanting or able to be in the public and safety has been taken into account. Jay is impossible to talk to, always coming up with reasons you are being charged or reasons you are wrong about your account. I canceled my membership in December and I am still being charged in February after many attempts to stop payments and confirm cancelation. Do not sign a contract or even a free trial with this gym.
Expérience négative: I signed up for the gym in Whitby, i liked going there until they closed down. When my boyfriend moved into Oshawa we were looking for a gym that will treat us well. Then we found this place, we thought because we were treated nicely in the Whitby location that we were going to be treated the same since we thought they were a franchise. Little did I know I was going to run into some problems down the road. We went in and was given a 1 week pass for free, now we were very adamant with signing up for a gym but we made sure that when that first week had passed that we made our payments. When we no longer had the time to go, we went in to let them know that we were no longer interested in coming in, so the person at the desk said ok that is fine we did not sign up for anything we did not give them a void cheque or anything to take money from my account. Because it has happened that they had my account information at the Whitby location and taken payments off it so I had to put a stop payment on it. I was not going to make the same mistake twice. We went there 2 years ago now, it's not recent either. So I recently received an email from a collection agency stating that I owe the gym $2,203.25. How? when I am not even a member and how did you get this amount? I went into the gym this evening only to be told they cannot do any thing about it. The guy working tonight said that the gym would have called me or received warning that I have missed payments, so when I told him that I only received this email from them, he said that they might have gotten the incorrect email or phone number. So why am I getting all of your monthly promotions then if you did not have the correct email? Where was the 1st letter that you supposedly sent me? or the calls you supposedly made to me? How is that fair to people who work hard? I get it COVID shut a lot of businesses down, but this is not the way to treat your customers. I know the owner or management will not do anything about it even when they we all know they can, because desperate times calls for desperate measure, but don't do it to the expense of making a hardworking individuals who are trying to make a decent living by screwing them over. I hope the company does the right thing and not do what they do to others like they did to me. All I did was try out a company that I thought was going to be more decent than others. They turned out to be the biggest disappointment.

Expérience fantastique: Good Gym lots of equipment. People that are posting negatively about this place have unrealistic expectations. The fees a reasonable. Posting a bad review because you are held to your commitment/contract is unethical in my opinion.
Expérience négative: Remaining open after the government ordered the closure af all gyms is beyond reprehensible no one should support a business that openly flaunts rules and doesn't care about the community it serves.

Expérience négative: Tried to get a free trial pass to test out the gym. Instead I got charged 20 dollars plus tax for 1 day. Was told there was no way to test out the gym free due to covid. Minutes later I see someone get in for free. Goes to show you how they run the gym around there.
Expérience négative: This gym, despite plees from the government, public health and the community remained open until the very last minute before the government enforced showdown. The clear ignorance for the magnitude of this public health crisis clearly shows their priorities are profit and not people. Boycott this gym and it's ridiculous owners for putting the people of our community at risk.
Expérience négative: This gym is literally a sardine can. Very small with every single piece of gym equipment packed into it which would make it a plus normally bit,makes in this case, makes it both claustrophobic and uncomfortable. There's no breathing room and when you're elbow to elbow with the person next to you, it's pretty intense. The best thing about the place is the change rooms which are probably over a third of the place's sq. footage.

Expérience positive: Love this place, I dont have a contract, I only pay as you go as I've heard some pretty crazy stories about people who sign up there getting ripped off. Machines are amazing but a little bunched together in some spots, if you dont mind that(which I dont) then it's perfect.
Expérience négative: Scammers, they requested a letter for cancelling my membership, so I did. A few months later I got a letter saying I owed them back pay and they had no cancellation agreement with me. Sent to collection. Stay farrrr away from this gym.
Expérience négative: I didn't really feel very comfortable working out here. The layout is kind of strange and is more open concept so people outside can see you working out through the surrounding windows. The staff seemed like alright people but they pretty much advised that I don't work out where the weights are. I found it strange that two out of three bathroom stalls were always locked in the ladies change room. There was only the one small one left and all changing had to be done by the lockers. It wasn't my kind of gym but I'm sure it's fine for some other people that are big body builders. Just beware of the charges and the small print when you sign up because apparently they don't abide by the writing there.
Expérience négative: Having to fight over charges being taken out after they closed the Whitby club where I had been a member since the day it opened. Turned up to a sign on the door advising it had closed and you had to go in person to close out account. Emailed to no response and fees still coming out even after I went in person. Getting the run around about how they still need months payment even though they are the ones who had to close club. Equipment often out of order and customer service non existent.
Expérience négative: ***don’t waste your hard earn money here*** Im a student so every dime counts! I had recently moved to Ajax and cancelled my membership here as it is 28 km away from my new home. But why am I still receiving charges? I called and they said error on their end-one month goes by and they are STILL charging me!
Expérience négative: The business practices of this facility leave much to be desired. Insure that you read your contract carefully. After they closed their city oif Whitby location they proceeded to "transfer" my membership over to the city of Courtice location which is 15km away. Then they just started charging my credit card even though I didn't have a contract with them at the Courtice location. I had to put a stop on my credit card to make them stop charging me

Expérience fantastique: Exceptional Staff. State of the art equipment. Clean and professional atmosphere. They cater to all levels of fitness. Each person is treated as if they are their only client. Expérience fantastique: Best gym I have ever been to. Lots of equipment, never busy or overcrowded. I am a contract worker at opg so I come and go throughout the year always easy to join and easy to stop, when I move away.
Expérience fantastique: Great atmosphere to get a great workout in nice and clean with friendly helpful staff. Equipment is plentiful and it's never crowded to the point where you need to wait for your next exercise.

Expérience négative: They double charged me , and then tried to make me pay an NSF becuse I didnt have the money to pay for two charges at the time , and after I explained what happened and they agreed it was an error on their end, then they tried to make my brother pay for the NSF charge. Even though they agreed it was a screw up on their end . I dont understand how it's fair to make your clients pay for a mess up that's not the clients fault.
Expérience fantastique: Like the staff and other members . Good atmosphere and equipment plus has massage and chiropractic services there.
Expérience fantastique: Environment is open & very friendly. Lots of different payment plan options. The staff is well trained & very knowledgeable. Platinum is also the home of Courtice Crossfit. If you've never tried crossfit or are looking for a new box, I strongly recommend Courtice Crossfit! FYI There is no daycare or spin at this location.
