Expérience négative: Chaotic !! Weights all over the place, tissues on the ground .. nobody even bothers emptying trash pins ..stinky washrooms. Only go there when I’m working in Scarborough as it’s the only branch around.

Expérience négative: I'm happy that I'm leaving goodlife for good and came to know that many others are also leaving. Also time for front desk staff to act friendly with regulars as well not just with new clients where they get chance to upsell. This location needs a major upgrade for the price they are charging or it's gone. There are better gyms out there with modern equipment and vibe.

Expérience négative: I recently joined GoodLife Fitness at a new location and unfortunately had a disappointing experience. Upon my first visit, I requested a tour of the facility to familiarize myself with the amenities. The manager simply told me to look around and left me to find everything on my own, which was frustrating. I also inquired about personal training services and was not given clear information. Despite the website stating that a complimentary session with a fitness trainer is included upon joining, I was told otherwise. The assistant manager, Alex, informed me that nothing is free and dismissed the complimentary session as part of my paid sessions. This was contradictory to what was advertised and led to confusion and dissatisfaction. Additionally, when I decided to cancel my sessions and transfer to another location, the response from the staff was unprofessional. Alex’s dismissive attitude and comments about needing the money or transferring sessions were unhelpful and left a negative impression. While GoodLife Fitness offers great facilities, this specific location fell short in terms of customer service and clear communication. I suggest researching and visiting different locations to find one that meets your expectations for both service and amenities

Expérience fantastique: Some of these 1-star reviews are equal parts genuinely hilarious and slightly concerning lol Trust me, I've shopped my fair share of GoodLifes, PF's, F4L, F45, Fit Factory - you name it, I've been there, and this location deserves at least, like....4.3 stars. Been here for a few months, and the space + service combined have been nothing but stellar. I've met at least 7 - 8 people both from Front Desk and PT and they've been friendly and courteous. The people at the gym, well most of them (y'all know how that can go lol) were all nice, politely asking if they can work in a set, being respectful of the space, smiling, quickly nodding then looking away if you make awkward eye contact etc. Every time I've been to the washrooms, they're clean, the machines haven't given me any problems or impeded my performance/form, and the space is always stocked with hygiene equipment. The ONLY issue, and this is just me being whiney, is that there's no elevator for when you go HAM on leg day, but c'est la vie. Butt when you use the stairs, you get stares, and I'm not tryna hide my booty gains! >< The space is a bit smaller than the GL on Kennedy (which also has great service), but it's not claustrophobic or outdated by any means. If you want the Equinox experience, pay the Equinox price at another place or deal with it :P Anyways, gtg, have to meet the PT at 6 sharp for torture, byeeeee o/

Expérience fantastique: In January of 2023 I was the heaviest I had ever been in my entire life, and I had told myself it was over...impossible. Then one day a good friend of mine took a financial risk and got himself a trainer and mentioned that it was helping him, both physically and mentally. So, I made up my mind and walked into Goodlife and talked to Wais about my goals. He told me with confidence that he would help change my life. At the time I was a bit hesitant, I had heard those words before, but I decided that this was my last chance to live a better life, so I agreed to a one year commitment to workout with Wais. It wasn't easy, I was tired and hungry, I was exhausted before getting into the gym, and dead tired afterwards. But 1 month turned into 3, which then turned into 6, and eventually a year has passed. My whole life when into a complete transformation. From 360lbs to 229lbs, from depressed to positivity... from surviving every day to living my life every day. After 12 months he kept his word, he changed my life. Wais and the staff are some of the warmest, kindest and knowledgeable people. I was lucky to have been surrounded by Wais and the staff who were nothing but encouraging. Sometimes, it takes a little faith, some inspiration and a lot of discipline. Just remember that it's progress over perfection. Thank you to all the staff at Goodlife Select/Markham for saving me from myself.

Expérience négative: I have been a member at GoodLife Fitness for a few months now, and unfortunately, my experience has been far from satisfactory. Here are the major issues I've encountered: Temperature Issues: The gym is consistently too hot. The high temperature makes it unbearable to work out, and I often feel like passing out, especially when doing squats. This is a serious safety concern that needs to be addressed immediately. Cleanliness and Organization: The gym is a mess. Weights are littered everywhere because people do not put them back after use. This not only creates a hazardous environment but also makes it difficult to find the equipment I need. The staff needs to enforce gym etiquette and ensure that members are putting their weights away. Odour: The gym has a very unpleasant smell that hits you as soon as you walk in. This issue has persisted despite my hopes that it would improve over time. A more ac and better ventilation are desperately needed. Overall, the lack of proper temperature control, poor cleanliness, and bad odour make working out at GoodLife Fitness a highly unpleasant experience. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and implements necessary improvements for the well-being of all members.

Expérience fantastique: Besides the staff being friendly and professional, the personal training staff are phenomenal. I have been training with Alex for many years. We've trained together through my pregnancies and postpartum. He adjusts my workouts based on my physical condition each session and motivates me to achieve new goals. With his guidance and programming, I have been able to build on strength, form, and confidence in my lifts. His knowledge in various mobility exercises has helped me address my hip/knee pain and muscle imbalances. The personal trainers here are knowledgeable, motivating, supportive, and client focused. Expérience fantastique: I love ALL the Group Fitness Classes at this location. Although I do wish there was more (especially on Fridays when there’s no classes at all). I see the usual attendees at the Group Fitness Classes so I’ve bonded with a few of them ..which is great as it keeps me motivated. Love the Body Balance class on Tuesdays . Michelle is an awesome instructor.. 5+ stars for her. Body Combat & Body Pump with Shoaib are awesome as well. And the new Zumba Class with Roderick rocks ! It’s a great addition to the list of Classes. Shoaib & Roderick are both amazing instructors. Staff at this location are always friendly and keeps the place tidy. Keep up the good work

Expérience fantastique: Morning/early afternoon and night staff are pleasant and friendly. Don't know about them during peak times. Avoid 4-10pm on the weekdays at all costs, it's so terribly busy. Regular members at these times are all nice, considerate, and wipe their own sweat for the most part. Outside of peak times everything is usually clean. Peak times is a different beast. Dumbbell rack is always out of order, haven't seen it properly ordered in years. There are more dumbbells than there are spots on the rack for them and inevitably there will be a pair of 30s where the 55s should be. At least the abundance of dumbbells means you will probably get a pair of the weight you want at any time. Equipment is old for the most part but all functional and clean. It gets the job done. Wish they would bring in something new and shiny just for the novelty, but there would be nowhere to put a new machine or bench or rack. Membership is a little pricey because it has the Goodlife name on it but it's not the most expensive Goodlife I've had a membership to. Not really much competition in the area so this is the spot and that's why its so crowded sometimes.

Expérience fantastique: I highly recommend this gym, especially if you're visiting from the States. Initially, I encountered challenges at another gym where the staff were unresponsive to my needs as a 24-hour gym member seeking a visitor pass. Feeling disheartened, I decided to try another gym, where Alex AGM and Jaensi welcomed me. Their assistance was a stark contrast to my prior experience, the one by birch mount and enterprise, where I felt that they were trying to hustle me and tell me visitors were only allowed if I pay a $25 daily fee to access the gym with my 24-hour membership. Bro, here the staff so much more willing to hear me out. Jaensi was particularly understanding, listened to my concerns, and provided a solution, which significantly improved my mood and rectified the unpleasant experience I had at the first gym. Furthermore, the gym itself is exceptional. It boasts a comprehensive range of equipment that is so well-maintained, one might think it's brand new. The locker rooms are consistently clean, and the atmosphere is welcoming, with fellow gym-goers focused on their workouts, respecting the space by cleaning the equipment after use. I definitely suggest giving this place a try or even switching your current gym membership to this location.

Always found him whenever there is any query..Many people behave rudely with him still that guy responds with a smile.. Wont be surprised to see him as a manager soon...he deserves it..truly an asset of this branch..

Expérience fantastique: They fixed the lights in the cardio area, doing a great job fixing equipment when it gets broken, addresses issues promptly and professionally. Everyone here staff and members are friendly. Size of gym is a little small, no pool or jacuzzi and gets a bit busy during “rush hour” weekdays at around 5 pm, but overall great gym and highly recommend!

Expérience fantastique: I have gone to a lot of goodlife clubs but so far this location has the best service. Went to this location once yesterday late night. Gym was small but was kept really clean. Most importantly, the employee- SHORON was super nice. Showed me the entire gym and was super respectful and knowledgeable. Great selection of employee and nice maintenance. Coming in this location again for sure!!!

Expérience négative: The GoodLife workers, were absolutely no help during peak time. From 5-7pm… they don’t give proper information at all. Morning staff are great and very helpful. All around , this gym is too small and all the machines are cramped together. Not a fan at all

Expérience fantastique: Gets busy during “rush hour” from 5-7 pm on weekdays since it’s a smaller gym. However the staff and members are very friendly, supportive and inclusive. Great vibe. Staff respond to client concerns in a timely fashion. They’re building new food spots nearby. And they add and fix equipment when needed. No pool or hot tub, but there’s a sauna. Would recommend for locals or people passing by looking to improve their health or to be the best version of themselves!

Expérience fantastique: I love going to this gym and I’ve been training with Wais (personal trainer) for some time now. He’s always encouraging me to meet my goals and he has very good motivating approach. I’ve been seeing improvements and I feel much happier with my self making me feel more confident in how I look. He’s very knowledgeable, experienced and conducts workouts dedicated to my goals. Every session with him is very enjoyable and he makes it fun encouraging me to do the actual workout. Wais is definitely my favourite personal trainer and I highly recommend training with Wais!!

Expérience négative: Omg what a waste of time. The management and staff here need lessons in Time Management. Had an appointment to get a tour and potentially sign up. I was told that I can get a tour but can't get a pass because management wasn't in. Why make the appointment if you don't have the staff available?
