Expérience négative: I have no issues with gym its great..have all facilities and management is good too…but the thing is when i joined the reason was 24hrs open and its just 3 min drive from my place….as i am packed during day i decided to join this gym but they changed the time Now and its not 24hrs anymore…..i hope management will take some action on this..

Expérience négative: Joke of a gym. Run by clowns. Racist and negative atmosphere. None of the staff lifts or works out but run the gym in an authoritarian manner. Very hostile, discriminatory and controlling environment. The hours of operations being reduced further proves how unpopular its becoming due to the awful management. Replace the general manager and some staff and perhaps things may change, or this location too shall close permanently.

Expérience négative: Great Gym, But Lack of Nighttime Availability is a Challenge I was really excited to join this gym as I’ve heard great things about its facilities and staff. After visiting, I can confirm that it's a well-maintained and welcoming place with everything you’d need for a great workout. However, I have a full-time job during the day, and unfortunately, the gym's current hours don’t fit in my schedule. If it was open at night, it would make such a difference for people like me who have busy days but still want to prioritize their fitness. Night access would allow more flexibility and help a lot of us stay on track with our fitness goals without compromising our work schedules. I hope the gym considers extending its hours to better serve people with varying schedules. If the gym offered late-night or 24-hour access, I’d sign up without hesitation! It seems like a missed opportunity given how great the facility is otherwise.

Expérience fantastique: I love this location, the biggest perk in my opinion is having a women only section for women who are nervous or insecure to work out in a large space with everyone around. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, the gym is very clean and I constantly see staff members cleaning and restocking the change rooms and workout areas.Very welcoming environment! Expérience fantastique: Good Life Fitness on Fairway road is the best fitness facility in KW. Two years ago when I was looking for a new gym I checked out all the major clubs in the area to compare. My wife and I chose it because of the favorable hours, location, tons of good equipment, really great staff and mature members. Also, it is kept scrupulously clean with a friendly atmosphere. We have recommended it to our family and friends.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to the Goodlife Gym on Fairway for many years now. I'm good with the change in hours....late night was almost empty, so not reasonable to keep it open 24 hrs. I love the variety of equipment and staff are always friendly and helpful. I've taken personal training here as well and learned a lot that I didn't know (even though I thought I did ;)). I highly recommend this gym - it's good for all fitness levels and even the customers help out each other!

Expérience négative: Great gym overall. I’ve been a member for almost two years now. Very disappointing to know that they can’t afford to stay open 24hours, which is why I chose them to begin with. They’ve calculated their “costs of keeping it open at night” vs “how many members they can afford to loose” if they close for few hours to see which one is more profitable and apparently they’re okay to loose few members because they’re saving more by closing for few hours. I think risking your goodwill to save some costs isn’t very smart. And it’s unfortunate that a well known named gym like GL needs to think about saving costs when they’re already charging so much for their services which I’d happily pay for if they keep up with their great work. It’s unfair for people who can’t go to other locations due to travelling issues or their work schedules. Everyone reading this who has the same problem with them must leave a review so they’re aware of what mistake they’re making.

Expérience négative: Pay an arm and a leg for a membership and they can't even keep the gym open 24/7. This place is insanely busy during the day, and will surely only get busier now that hours are cut. I'm strongly considering a membership elsewhere, and you should as well.

Expérience négative: Great gym been going for 15 years here but I’m upset they’re deciding to go back on their 24/7 open… what are we paying for??? They want to start closing after 11:30 on week days and 10 during weekends… many people go after 11 yesterday there was 25+ people in the gym when I was leaving at 12… I don’t think that’s very fair for those people and people that come just before then and will have to adjust and come earlier or cut their workout… also management and everyone knows now very well how busy the peak hours will be thanks a lot… also not fair having to drive Waterloo or Williamsburg, I’m seriously debating on changing gyms me and multiple people are very upset, I don’t want to pay for 24/7 and not have that, GoodLife is already making a ton off money from membership why do you want to further make money by saving off electricity and take away 24/7 from members and basically taking away from people that can only come those times?

Expérience négative: GR should have negative star rating also well. I am writing this review to share my recent experience with GoodLife Fitness, which has been deeply disappointing. My time at this gym has been marred by consistent issues related to perceived racial bias and ineffective management. It has become increasingly evident that concerns raised by members of color are not addressed with the same urgency or fairness as those from white members. This pattern of behavior not only reflects poorly on the management but also undermines the sense of community and inclusivity that GoodLife Fitness claims to uphold. The management’s tendency to side with white members in conflicts and ignore or inadequately address issues faced by others is both troubling and unacceptable. Such practices create an environment where fairness and respect are not consistently upheld, and this is something that potential and current members should be aware of. Nothing against while folks they are like brothers to me. Given these serious concerns, I would strongly advise prospective members to reconsider investing in a GoodLife Fitness membership. It’s crucial to support organizations that genuinely prioritize fairness and inclusivity for all their members. I hope that GoodLife Fitness takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary changes to improve its management practices and ensure a truly welcoming environment for everyone. Expérience positive: I liked the Cambridge location better for group fitness classes. There were better instructors and more variety of times for classes. Only 1 Bodycombat class per week at 5:15pm with an instructor who can't remember routines isn't very ideal at all. Also that group fitness room where the classes are held is not very clean. I was appalled last night on how dirty the floor was. Hair, dirt, etc absolutely everywhere. Update** The positive feedback is that the gym is much cleaner! The negative is that the very popular BodyCombat class which myself and many others have our membership for is only offered virtually due to lack of instructors. There's also no training offered to bring in new instructors. What kind of system is this? You're overlooking a hugh chunk of men and women who enjoy this class.

Expérience négative: Be mindful.. if you leave they will tell you that you will receive extra 1 month bill and the same is mentioned in the “Agreement” document. Also be careful of initial assessment where they will make you feel that you need to workout a lot and should hire a personal trainer, which is super costly.

Expérience négative: I’m writing to express my frustration with this GoodLife Fitness Center. The sauna has been out of service for over a month now, and it seems to be of little concern to the management. This is the second time this issue has occurred, and it’s disappointing that such a basic facility isn’t prioritized. I understand that repairs take time, but a month is excessive. I’ve also noticed that when the moisturizer/soap dispensers are empty, it often takes over a week for them to be refilled. This lapse in maintenance significantly impacts the customer experience. On a positive note, I do appreciate the overall cleanliness of the facility, which is consistently well-maintained. However, the ongoing issues with the sauna and the slow response to replenishing supplies need urgent attention. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and improves their service.

Expérience fantastique: I have had 12 sessions with Israa, a personal trainer, at GoodLIfe Fitness. She has guided me back into the gym after a knee injury kept me away for a few years. She helped me navigate the fine line between doing nothing at all and doing too much (risking injury or reinjury). She helped me regain my confidence in the gym. I can't say enough great things about this trainer. If you are hesitant to make your way back into the gym or it is your first time at a gym, do yourself a big favour and see this trainer. Expérience fantastique: Personal Trainer review: Andrew Froese For context, I am very much a beginner in fitness, so my needs may differ from those of someone more experienced. What I was looking for in a personal trainer was someone who could help suggest a workout routine, answer the many questions I have and provide feedback and insight regarding form or areas I might struggle. I found Drew to be a great fit for me in these aspects as well as highly positive and motivating. I have been working with Drew for about six months now and only have positive things to say. He is experienced and highly knowledgeable. He provides great, clear explanations to any questions I have. Drew is great with offering advice, feedback, and suggestions for improvement. He has been working with me to implement a regimen that works for me and adjusts exercises and variations as necessary to ensure my continuing progress. He also keeps detailed fitness notes on my performance to track my progress and to determine when and where to add reps or weights. I have found Drew to be very open and flexible towards assisting and helping me achieve my fitness goals. I am very happy with the outcomes so far and have seen noticeable improvements to my physique and great increases to my strength since I started working with Drew. Without a doubt, I would not have achieved my level of success or improved nearly as much as quickly without his help. Aside from his skill set and knowledge, I find he has a very enjoyable, light-hearted personality, is quite friendly and is a lot of fun to work with. He often makes what otherwise may have been a difficult workout or intimidating gym experience fun and something I look forward to rather than dread. He’s genuine and wants to see you succeed. Overall, I highly recommend Drew as a personal trainer, especially if you are new or looking to improve and achieve better fitness outcomes.

Expérience positive: The staff are really nice and friendly people here, nice and helpful. The gym is smaller than other Goodlife locations I have been to before. The towels are definitely getting a bit worn out, but staff will give you a 2nd one if yoh ask. I wish the lockers had the full length size version, it is easier in winter to store my jacket and other items rather than the half size ones they have. Overall, it is s clean and from what I can see, well maintained gym! Disappointed amenities are NOT the same for all gyms in the Goodlife across Canada.

Expérience fantastique: There is nothing except great things to say about this gym! This is the greatest gym around! The team of workers is always extremely welcoming and enthusiastic. They give you a friendly smile and laugh after telling you jokes when welcoming customers in. They never stop showing enthusiasm. Additionally, they organised a fun event called "Pie in the Face," where customers paid to slap any of the gym staff in the face. Excellent job! You should come to this gym because it's not like any other ordinary gym. It really is very different and unique.

Expérience fantastique: I LOVE this gym! It's large and so spacious, it is also so clean and well maintained (thank you to the staff who clean regularly!) Equipment is repaired super quickly - I don't think I've seen a machine out of service for more than a day. The front desk staff are so nice and ready to help. This is definitely my favourite GoodLife location. I look forward to my workouts here.

Expérience positive: I'm really enjoying my workouts, have only been a member for a few months. Staff are great, everything is clean. I'm seeing people not wiping down equipment after they use it, staff should be keeping an eye out. I'm now wiping equipment down before and after I use it. A big issue for me is the air quality. I usually go when it's least busiest and still find the air stale and stuffy. I don't normally have any lung or breathing issues but I've had to cut my last few workouts short because it just gets uncomfortable breathing that air in when I'm working out hard. I've never had issues before. I feel like they just need to vent in more fresh outside air, then it'd be 5 stars from me.

Expérience fantastique: I was visiting KW for a week and a half and I'm from the GTA. If there was another star to give I would give it to James. He really has great energy and always brightened up my mornings with a smile. Roberta was fantastic as well. This gym overall has a great vibe, very cosy and friendly atmosphere. The sayings that are posted on the walls are also very motivating. Working out here was great, the cute women's section is awesome too as well as ending your hard work outs with the massage chairs. I will definitely be visiting this wonderful gym again when I am in the KW area! Keep up the great work and warm welcoming friendly smiles!!!

Expérience positive: Overall it is good enough place to workout, and now little bit bigger but i would rather have bench press beside the window near dumbbells area but biggest complaint there is not enough floor mat in front of dumbbells and i was trying be quiet today but it is almost impossible especially using heavy weights, also that sitting calf machine should be beside standing one it makes more sense. Ps.1 you should start telling people of when wanna take videos they should have their private gym because they are even recording in the locker , which is really annoying and I don’t wanna be in someone video or photo , same video call ( go outside and when you are done come back ) Ps.2 there is more and more people not cleaning after themselves , just curious what happened if i will leave sweat and 5 plates per side for squats or deadlifts…

When visiting this facility a loyal member & friend of mine had misplaced a personal item. I completely understand it is no one’s responsibility other than our own when losing something in a public place. However Roberta was still quick to act & sent a team of Goodlife Fitness associates to scour the specific visited area to ensure it was not left behind. I appreciate the professionalism & kindness our phone call brought when I called in earlier this week to inquire more about the incident. Thanks Roberta, truly.

Expérience négative: They should let people know by emails or something if they are planning a closure on spot. Today the gym was supposed to close at 4 pm as per the holiday schedule posted (24 December) but they close at 11 am without informing ahead. I only got to know when I reached at the club. The reason they told was severe weather. This is Canada and what else you expect in winters. So every time there’s a snow you gonna shut down? And still us being getting charged the full fee. I don’t understand how the gym is getting affected by the weather, it’s your member’s choice if they still want to go out and workout or not.
Expérience fantastique: I've been going to this location for years and I have to say it's the best goodlife I've been at the trainers and staff are amazing particularly Owen. He always goes above and beyond , so helpful with anything your in need of. If this corporation does employee of the month this guy should get it all year round; he's the reason I'll continue to return to this club great men him give the fitness industry such a positive name. If your looking for any personal fitness trainer I would have to recommend adem aswell he's knowledge and dedication quickly becomes apparent when he consistently pushes you through the toughest workouts. Owen and Adem carry this club. Top lads

Expérience positive: It’s a good gym and they are currently making the dumbbells area bigger which is good cause it’s quite small and on busy nights can be a pain. People tend to leave there towels everywhere in the locker room which is beyond disgusting. Members need to face some consequences for bad behaviour between this and bugging other members about when they are done there reps. I work in the area so it’s fine for me but I may be looking elsewhere for a more friendly and clean environment.
Expérience négative: Went here at 9:30 pm to workout and was greeted by a staff member with a “why are people still coming to the gym, isnt this the time they should be at home sleeping” to another staff member as they laugh and give me dirty looks. I couldnt shake off the bad energy and decided to leave 15 minutes into my workout and as I’m leaving i hear the same two workers laughing and staring at me leaving. Again this was at 9:30 pm which is not an odd time to go to the gym considering people have jobs.

Expérience fantastique: Best Gym in KWC. This place is super clean, friendly staff who always greet you with smiles. The showers and sauna area is always clean and well maintained. I have been taking the personal training with Anushal here and he is very knowledgeable, professional and kind hearted. Anushal has extensive knowledge on weight training, Anushal is always inspiring, holding me accountable for my goals and very motivational. i have lost 15 lbs of fat in 4 months and gained muscles. Priya, Izzy and Carrie-anne are super helpful along with fitness manager Steve who is always supportive, inspiring and fun to workout with. I would highly recommend this gym as the positive energy you get here is contagious and personal training is at next level.

Expérience fantastique: Very friendly and inclusive gym, often welcomed through the door. Changing rooms and showers are always clean. I have a personal trainer Anushal who is incredibly knowledgeable and motivating - he takes into consideration my fibro and plans sessions with the right balance of stretching myself.

Expérience fantastique: Was scared to come in to get a membership because Good Life has a reputation of being “salesy”. I was helped by the most amazing employee: Carrie-Anne! She was incredibly informative, patient and covered all areas that I would need to know. She was not pushy at all, and was super kind (wish all gym membership salespeople were like her!!), I’ve gone to many gyms myself and can confidently say the facility itself has great equipment, and is kept well cleaned. You can clearly see the respect the members have for this space.

Expérience fantastique: This location truly has the friendliest staff! Last Friday, I had my first personal training session with Anushal. As someone who is relatively new to fitness, and who had never had 1:1 personal training, I wasn't sure what to expect. Fortunately, I had an awesome trainer for the day. I was so happy with how Anushal carried the session, making me feel comfortable at all times despite my inexperience. He was kind, patient and very professional, making sure to take his time to show me how to properly do the exercises, and cheering me on when I lifted more than I thought I could! If you're thinking of getting a few PT sessions, go to him! He is wonderful.

Had a great workout this morning besides the staff at the front thinking I was lost when I came in as I was wandering around to find the men's changeroom. Lol Overall it was good, not to busy. Prob be coming back in a few to get another lift in.

Expérience fantastique: I've been going to this gym for 5 years now. I have tried different GoodLife locations and I keep coming back to this location. Biggest reason for that is the general welcoming / positive atmosphere in the gym by both the staff and the clients. Owen at the front desk is always friendly and goes above and beyond to help if I have any issues with the account or equipment. The gym is also very clean including the locker rooms. Sauna has been upgraded, its a great reward after a gym session.

Expérience fantastique: Having been around a few gyms in this area, I can honestly say that this is my go to choice. While its certainly not state of the art, the equipment is clean, towels are warm (mostly ;)), and above all the atmosphere is by far the best. Chill gym regulars, and a super friendly staff (shoutout to Owen, thx for the towels) are all one of the reasons why I keep coming back...oh and the Sauna ? Small, but top notch. Keep up the good work, I'll be back.

I decided I needed some direction and guidance to begin my journey to physical fitness. I entrusted Shawn to listen to my concerns and goals and he immediately new that personal trainer Anita would be the perfect fit! He could not have been more right! Anita is a lovely young lady who is amazing. We have great fun together during each session I have had with her so far! Not only does Anita instruct on the HOW of each movement, but also the WHY which is so important! Her vast knowledge is a welcome bonus to my training sessions! I feel happy and confident in my decision and at the progress I have made so far - and Anita is a large and important part of that!!

The gym itself is kept maintained and is usually low key during the days. update: love the changes and expansion. my only wish is for more benches for bench press.
