Expérience négative: Been trying to get a hold of someone for over 30 minutes now and nothing but dumb elevator music and the call keeps disconnecting.

Expérience fantastique: Life guards at the family swim are amazing. Today one helped me teach my 12 year old to refine his diving technique.

Expérience négative: I would give 0 stars if I could. I went to cancel my membership. I asked to pay the next two bi-weekly payments in full immediately (because I know you have to pay that in order to cancel your membership). They took my 2 bi-weekly payments I made and then proceeded to charge me another 3 payments. When I called and asked for this to be refunded, I was told no. I was told I will only be refunded for 1 bi-weekly payment. So essentially, they received five bi-weekly payments from me (when it’s only supposed to be 2) and are only refunding me for one which is a payment they took out of me this week. I should be refunded for the two payments I made in full or I should be refunded the two payments they took out in November. I have been a long term customer with the Y and I will not be returning or reactivating my membership again.

Expérience fantastique: I just started going to the YMCA and will say. The team is amazing. From 5:30 AM when the doors open till close they are super friendly and helpful. It's a wonderful place to meet members of the community and build and maintain healthy life habits. They also offer a slew of programs to help excel individuals in all sorts of fields and programing upgrades. In my opinion. The YMCA is a most go hot spot for all your community needs and aspirations.

Expérience négative: Heard the younger ,stockier-female personal trainer talking about other gym members. It may be time to do a "Job Review" on some of the employees here. I always felt the gym was a place to align Mind, Body and Soul.....the energy here is more akin to a Tim Hortons.

Expérience positive: I love the place but seriously the people who train there make my day every time. It should have a reinforcement of the rules and a MANDATORY demonstration of the use of the machines. People will just get hurt. Can we talk about clothing ? Yesterday, there was a young woman (teenager?) with her mom, I suppose, with short so thin and short that you could see everything, it was awful. Women who train in bras, please, it's a gym not a beach. Men who train in swimsuits, barefoot or in socks, in clean shirts and pants as if they were going to work..it's doubtful. Can we talk about the men's locker room and the family locker room? The men walk around naked in front of the children and teenagers present there. I find it extremely disturbing and disrespectful. You are not in your living room or at home, have a little modesty! Alone men who go into the family locker room, what are you doing there?? The men's locker room is for you. Either people are not very intelligent and enlightened, or there is a big lack of strengthening of regulations at the YMCA level. At the price we pay, we should be able to feel safe with our children. People should have a little more respect for others and should dress properly for the gym and not for any other unrelated activity. The YMCA has all the responsibilities for strengthening it's regulations which, in my opinion, must be reviewed.

Expérience fantastique: We have a wonderful YMCA here in Fredericton. It's a very positive and active space.

Expérience négative: Stopped membership due to the pool being closed most of the time I joined and the steam room which is really why I joined. Gym is always packed with rude young people not wanting to share equipment.

Expérience fantastique: Friendly staff, good location and offers lots of value with classes, a gym, swimming pool, etc. But to get the value out of it you should really do a class, swim and workout - otherwise there are cheaper gyms.

Expérience positive: It was a one star but after posting this I’ve updated it to 4. They obviously only care about money!! Early in the year we had signed our 9 year old up for several summer sports camps. He was looking forward to them, but recently had had a very serious concussion that was so bad that he could only go to school for 1.5 days a week. He is still recovering and as a result we have had to pull him out of all his summer sports camps. All of the other organizations have understood and it has not been a problem, but the YMCA makes excuse after excuse when my wife tries to call / email to get a refund. This has been a very had couple months in our life and it is not made any easier having to deal with these people. I will update this review if we get a response from the YMCA Follow up, we have now been given a full refund. We wish this could have been an easier process but glad to say it’s sorted out now.

Expérience fantastique: Very accommodating staff, excellent facilities as well as decent scheduling. Some instructors are extremely competent and some are not. Pick your activities and seek out those that most fit your needs and your experience will be great. Highly recommended

Expérience fantastique: I was visiting Fredericton and wanted to see the Y, such a nice facility. Two nice gentlemen they introduced me to the place, Mason and Areeb, were incredibly friendly young men and one of them took me on a tour around the facility!

Expérience positive: The only redeeming thing about this gym is the pool and location. For 33 biweekly you don't get much. Weight room/cardio is crowded together, theres no mirrors in the stretching room and the sauna has a disgusting smell

Expérience négative: I forgot my sneakers in the change room a few days ago. I inquired today if they had been turned in. I was told by the man at the front desk they had been turned in but on the same day they were cleaning out the lost and found so they just immediately threw them in the garbage. Very disappointed by this level of laziness and disregard for other peoples property.

Expérience positive: Front desk staff always great us with a smile and wishes us well for the rest of our day when we leave. The facility is busy at times but we're able to get in do our workouts without waiting too long for equipment to be free for our turns. Lots of parking including barrier free parking and access. There's a pool, athletic gym with free weights and circuit training equipment, bikes treadmills and rowers. There's an elevator for barrier free access too. They've got multiple programs over the summer, check out their website or stop in for a visit.

Expérience négative: Reviewing based on my pool experience, and membership price. The Gym, programs offered in other areas are average, but the pool my LORD. Equipment is shabby, pool has nothing to offer for kids besides lessons and toys I can get better at a dollar store. Lifeguards, nice and ill leave it at that. Speakers hardly work and the swim lessons are... shambles at best. Overall, poorly organized and clearly underfunded.

Expérience fantastique: Bought a membership this year, 2023, love the hours. Equipment is in great working order. The facility is spotless at all times. I just love going to the YMCA to workout. Staff are friendly and very helpful.

Expérience négative: Pools never function as scheduled for swim classes still they continue to charge?!! On discontinue request 2 more biweekly payments will be charged as some 30 day policy?! The standard answer is this was on terms and conditions you signed for. I never knew our terms are to pay while their terms are to not host classes!

Expérience négative: Got booted out even after explaining I suffer from seizures and breathing issues. Everyone ask for an exemption here, assuming everyone has a dr. Nope, that’s a 7 year wait list. Even when it’s set up through Williams chiropractic

Expérience négative: 1 year paying the family plan and I can say I've reached my limit with this place. Problems with classes being canceled all the time, problems registering for classes all terms, as there is no ability to meet the demand of children and classes and they don't register properly and finally a place that should be welcoming for families with children ends up excluding mothers from classes, as their children are prohibited from sitting on a quiet bench during class.

Expérience fantastique: We ordered a large wonton soup bowl and it was very tasty and big enough for two. In addition, my wife ordered beef with broccoli which she really loved and I ordered a dish with shrimps, scallop, and squids which was very tasty but really hot. So, if you do not like very hot food, you want to ask them to prepare it mild. All in all, food was delicious and portions were very generous The interior is somewhat basic but the view from the window was really nice.

Expérience négative: So, after going to the y for 6 months now, i'm placing this as a two because, being an active gym goer, there's sadly a lot of the main things that I need to maintain fitness that are just quite lacking. Having 2 squat racks and 2 bench racks for a gym of this size is pretty poor. There have been times where its literally 3 people have booked a rack and you have to wait for over an hour to ask the third person if they'll be done soon. Maybe if you're a gym goer who's routine is to target specific muscles its ok, but for any full body gym goers, this just isn't it. I'm going rn because there's no memes about putting yourself in on a waiting list, but the moment covids over id suggest taking a peek at other facilities. Review over :)

Expérience fantastique: I had recently called the my local YMCA here in Fredricton and I talked to a nice young gentleman named Kalevi. We talked for about 20 minutes and he helped me find what plan I needed for myself and my family to help us get active and back in shape. He was so polite, he was very smart and knew what he was talking about, and overall he seemed like he really loved what he was doing and loved helping other people get in shape. I had a great experience dealing with your welcome desk. I think every YMCA should hire more people like kalevi!

Expérience négative: Loud, noisy and the chlorine levels in the pool burned of the top layer of my son's body. He is registered for individual swimming lessons but we will not be returning.

Expérience positive: Just left the Y was working out and the up stairs was getting crowded hats off to the ladies working the front for stopping people from goin up stairs due to many people up there. They are doing there part and feel pretty pleased to see that

Expérience fantastique: The YMCA is doing a great job at allowing people to have a space to work out during the pandemic. They have measures in place to ensure that no one gets sick, including taking your temperature upon entry and making you sanitize your hands. Some equipment that was there in March is now gone, but that's to be expected with how the gym was rearranged to allow at least six feet between machines.

Expérience négative: The after school child care program is a waste of money. Aweful and disappointed. They do not tell the parents anything. I have 3 children that go there and all of them are having problems and do not enjoy going. They have attended other child care centers before and I have never experienced any problems like this.

Expérience négative: Terrible afterschool program! Kids come home completely bored. Didn't even have paper to color on one day so they colored on paper towel. Daughters shoes were lost/stolen due to negligence on the YMCAs part and they refused to replace. Swimming times were stated to be an hour a week in the handbook but was cut to half an hour shortly into the year with no explanation which translates into about 15 minutes in the pool. We never get the monthly calendars which has caused us to miss appointments because we don't know where they are. School closed halfway through the day due to power outage and they were the only afterschool program to not pick up. Not worth the the money. Way better afterschool programs out there.

Expérience négative: The customer treatment here is just awful, I've had two awful experiences with them and it has made me so frustrated that they don't offer any help to resolve their client's issues. Never going back they don't deserve any praise for the horrible service they provide!

Expérience positive: Very friendly staff. Nice basketball courts and squash courts. They have a very nice bright (lots of natural light) 25m pool. The pool can tend to be really busy during noon-time lap swims (evenings are much quieter) and at times seems really dirty, but mostly it's a great place to swim.
