Fantastic experience: I have been working with Karen Tannock for 2 years. I know that I never have to face life's difficulties on my own, and I have Karen to thank for that! I can truly attest that my life and mental health have changed for the better since coming to Stew-&Assoc. What I love the most about Karen is that she listens, challenges me to think differently, gives me homework and exercises to practice & always approaches every situation with a lens of compassion. The first activity Karen and I did before diving into my obstacles was a Genogram. I remember Karen telling me, "if we're going to dive into your present life, we need to map out everything that happened before you were born to understand the bigger picture." I had never experienced a counsellor who was so thorough! By the time we did dive into my life, we were so prepared & had so much context of the past, present and how I wanted my future to be. Karen was there to really peel back the onion, layer by layer, not just to listen to me talk for an hour and nod her head like some of my previous counsellors had done in the past. She was there really to uncover what the root causes were and to help me get to a better place. Fast forward 2 years to today, my life is totally different (for the better) and although I don't see Karen as often as I did in the past (she really did prepare me to face a lot of challenges on my own), she is always available for an appointment when a situation arises that I'm unsure how to solve on my own, or when I simply need a reminder to have some self-compassion. I highly recommend Stew&Assoc and I highly recommend Karen Tannock.

Fantastic experience: After many years of bouncing around to different therapists, a friend connected me to Karen Tennock at Stewart & Associates, and she has been, with no exaggeration, a miracle in my life. We have been working together for two and a half years and she is consistently present and attentive. She has excellent knowledge of a wide range of therapeutic modalities, is kind but firm, tender and smart. She has a sense of humour and can adjust to my needs, as assessed by both of us together. I feel seen, understood and supported. She has excellent boundaries and I feel I am not walking alone through my healing process, even when I don't see her for a while. I recommend her so highly! As a general note about the company as a whole, they have a program where you can see one of their counselling interns for about 8 months at a very reduced cost, which I found to be so helpful when I really needed it.

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Richard Marquez for 5 years and he has made such a difference in my life. I came to see him at a very hard point in my life and I can’t believe how far I’ve come from working with him. His approach flex’s perfectly to what works best for his clients and his level of awareness of how stigma and trauma effects people and the different social and economic pressures in this world help you become well rounded so that you’re able to work to become your whole self. He is so great that I’ve also brought my partner to do couples sessions and he thinks he is fantastic as well. Fantastic experience: I have been a client of Candace Marshalls through Stewart and Associates for the past three Years! When I first went in to seek help, I was very skeptical and doubted that therapy could save my Life! I was barely hanging on by a thread, I was very depressed, suicidal and hopeless! This was my last cry for help because my life had become so out of control, literally! I was having black outs then told after about all the crazy, mean, self destructive things "i" had Done! With absolutely no recollection of the events that took place! I was signed in to meet with Candace, she had no clue what she was in for! Candace is very patient, kind, caring, personable, inquisitive and STRONG! As our sessions went on together we were able to truly get to the heart of the problem for why I have huge memory gaps. As well why I have been called Jekle n Hyde! I found out I have a disorder that is created in early childhood development due to, extreme, volatile, horrific ritualistic Abuse! The disorder is DID dissasociative identity disorder! It use to be called multiple personality disorder. It is when very young age child's brain splits to deal with the trauma they are presented with. Alters are created so the core person can check out and they take on the Abuse! Finally my life has made sense, for the black outs, waking up indifferent cities without knowledge of how I came to be there. So much has been made clear! I am forever grateful for Candace, as well Ruth Ann for putting together an amazing team! Honestly if it weren't for Candace at Stewart and Associates, I would not be alive today, able to write up this review! Thank you for the tremendous help, support, safe space and strength of perseverance! T
