Fantastic experience: An amazing gym! Very clean with a larger variety of machines and weights. Also has very welcoming and professional staff.

Hi Morgan, On August 19, 2024, a staff member at the club reminded you that outside shoes are not allowed to be worn in the club and to please bring a change of shoes to work out in the gym. That specific club rule is posted on the pedestal sign stand positioned immediately as members enter the club, as well as on the club policies poster mounted on the locker area wall. Every member must respect the rules of the club and must respect all other members and the staff of the club. The staff member you interacted with on that day is known for being exceptionally polite and professional. We have known him for several years and he is highly liked by other members at the club. Please follow the rules of the club and please remove the unfair review as it is unjustified.
Fantastic experience: We have been going for approximately 6 month's. The gym is very clean, almost every time we are there someone is cleaning! The equipment is well maintained, yes sometimes a machine is down but they work to rectify it fast. Staff are always friendly.
Fantastic experience: Very clean and well kept. Yes it's smaller and doesn't have all the equipment that a 10k sqft gym may have, but it has all the essentials and is always open. Easy card access 24h day 365/year. Also the showers abound bathroom are always clean.

Fantastic experience: Amazing gym, great equipment, friendly staff, patrons and immaculately clean. Open 24 hrs a day with access only with a key card. Sam (personal trainer) is fantastic, tailoring your workouts to your personal needs. I love Fonthill Gym.
Fantastic experience: An incredibly clean gym, the welcoming employees are always working so hard to keep it looking nice. Has pretty much everything you need, I 100% recommend this place to anyone in the area.
Negative experience: Nice enough facilities, but the manager on duty (the owner) March 9, 2023 curtly accused me (in front of other gym members and while I was training) of entering the gym using someone else's key card. "Excuse me, but you used someone else's key card to get in here." (No, I hadn't, they were mistaken.) I explained that, no, the key card was indeed the same one I was issued when I first paid for my membership. The owner responded, "Well, I've never misidentified anyone." (As if she thought she was going to convince me that my gym card was not my gym card.) I asked to see the photo that she had viewed, and it was plainly me. It was poorly taken (by the person who completed my membership intake) but the person in the photo was wearing the same glasses that I was, and had the same nose etc. Admittedly, the photo was a bad one, showing most of my torso and missing the top of my head, but it was most definitely me. I offered to sit for another photo but was refused. Instead, she wanted to take a photo of my Ontario Driver's License, which I had shown her to verify my identification. I refused. (It's a terrible photo, and I was not feeling very cooperative at this point, having been publicly treated with rudeness and suspicion.) Regardless, the duty manager (owner) still appeared skeptical and suspicious of me, and never apologized for the public accusation, nor admitted their mistake. At that point, I asked her to cancel my membership. I will not patronize any establishment that treats it's paying members so rudely, and refuses to take responsibility for their actions or admit when they have made a mistake. Had the owner initially taken me aside and just ASKED me if my key card photo was mine, then we could have cleared up the issue in a few minutes and taken a better photo to prevent a similar situation in the future. The whole situation was handled poorly and tactlessly by the gym owner. That being said, the quality and condition of the facilities and equipment are beyond reproach. Just make sure they take a good photo. Management needs to provide better customer service and conflict resolution training to their employees. ADDENDUM: Management (the owner) since replied to my complaint by justifying the unprofessional actions of the duty manager (also the owner) and "permanently cancelling" my membership. (The one that I cancelled that day is now apparently SUPER-CANCELLED! LOL) "Great" customer service...
Hi Michael, Our club provides a friendly, safe, and respectful environment for all our members. To control access to the club, we use a key card system and routinely compare the identity of a key card user with the profile photo in our membership database. We do this with the recognition that our members’ appearances can change over time. On March 9, 2023, a staff member at the club approached you to confirm your membership status. She did this because, in her opinion, the profile photo associated with your key card did not resemble you on that particular day. I, and the other owners of the club, have reviewed that photo and agree it was reasonable for the staff member to take the position she did. Simply put, your profile photo did not resemble you. One of the most obvious differences was that – despite what you wrote in your review – the person in the photo was not wearing glasses. The staff member you interacted with on that day is known for being exceptionally polite and professional. We have known her for several years and she is highly liked by other members at the club. The quotes and actions you attributed to her in your review are, at best, exaggerations; and at worst, deliberately false. Furthermore – despite what you wrote in your review – you did not offer and were not refused the opportunity to update your membership profile photo. Member photos are often updated and this situation could have easily been resolved, had you been more polite and cooperative. Instead, you chose to abruptly cancel your membership. Fonthill Gym has a zero tolerance policy for any disrespectful or abusive behaviour – and that includes interactions between our members and staff. We would appreciate you removing your one-star review, as it is unjustified.
Fantastic experience: Great space...not over crowded, very clean and modern. Every thing u need from a beginner to advanced fitness levels.
Fantastic experience: This gym is IMMACULATE. All of the machines and equipment are high end and there's a wide variety to use. The members are mature and respectful. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable, always smiling and willing to help when asked. Been to a few gyms and this one is, by far, my favorite. Don't want to give too good a review, don't enjoy a packed gym (lol), but it really is a great place to workout! :)
Fantastic experience: My partner and I signed up last month and couldn’t be happier here. This gym really has a boutique feel and is very clean, friendly and equipment is plentiful and always available. Change rooms and lockers are well maintained. Thank you for bringing this gem to the Fonthill area!

Fantastic experience: Incredible new gym! I’ve been a member at other gyms in the past and this is, by far, the best one. Modern space, impeccably clean, a great range of high-end equipment, private washrooms, never crowded, and 24/7 access. Staff are very polite and friendly too. I love it!
