Fantastic experience: I am so glad my family decided to go to Alberta Cheer Empire. The moment she walked into this gym, she felt welcomed and loved the atmosphere. Her coaches are Avery and Kayla this season and the amount of effort and care they put into their team is incredible. Even going as far as hanging out with our kiddos (and parents) at the hotels during travel competitions, or passing by parents and asking how we are doing. It’s the little things that matter. So grateful to have them as coaches of U12 magic this year. At our previous cheer gym, the coaches never cared, never acknowledged their athletes, tons of favouritism and only cared about money and athlete potential. It’s the complete opposite here! ACE cares about their athletes and wanting them to succeed. Kim is so welcoming and is there whenever you need to ask questions, including her mom Karen who is often at the front desk helping with a lot. Looking forward to many more seasons at ACE!

Negative experience: Disappointing Experience at Alberta Cheer Empire I recently had an unfortunate experience at Alberta Cheer Empire, and I must say it has been nothing short of disappointing. The lack of integrity and blatant favoritism displayed by the staff has left a sour taste in my mouth. It's disheartening to witness the coaches prioritizing certain athletes over others, seemingly based on personal connections rather than skill or dedication. This not only undermines the principles of fair competition but also creates a toxic environment for all participants. Furthermore, the favoritism exhibited by the gym staff is palpable. It's evident that some athletes receive preferential treatment, whether it's extra coaching attention, coaches treating athletes differently, or opportunities that are not extended to others. This kind of bias not only undermines the spirit of teamwork but also sends a demoralizing message to those who are not part of the favored circle. There were instances where the coaching staff engaged in unprofessional conduct, undermining the positive and supportive environment that one would expect from a reputable cheer gym. This behavior not only sets a poor example for the athletes but also reflects poorly on the gym's overall professionalism. In conclusion, my experience with Alberta Cheer Empire has been disappointing on multiple levels. From the lack of integrity to the display of favoritism and the overall unprofessionalism, I strongly advise parents to explore alternative options for their children's physical activity endeavors. It is my hope that this feedback will prompt the necessary changes needed for the gym to provide a more positive and inclusive experience for all participants.

Fantastic experience: Kim Fiissel is the best gym owner and coach in the whole world and I 100% recommend coming to this gym if you’re looking for a recreational or competitive cheerleading. Athletes safety is a huge priority here as well.

Fantastic experience: I have been cheering at this gym for 9 years now and it has been such an important part of my life! When I first started the coaches and gym owner were very welcoming and made the transition to a new sport such an easy and fun process! You can tell that the staff truly care not just about your success and growth in the sport but also personal growth as well! I have made so many life long friends at this gym and am forever grateful for all the experiences I have had here! I would very highly recommend this gym to anyone either looking at starting cheerleading or continuing their cheer journey!

Fantastic experience: I am beyond grateful for this gym and the facility. I joined in 2020 during Covid and was welcomed by the whole team and all of the coaching staff. It truly is like a family, especially in the all star program. I couldn’t recommend this gym and the gym owner’s (Kim) incredible program that she pours hours into to ensure that it is the most successful program for her athletes.

Fantastic experience: Friendly environment. I always feel welcomed by staff and athletes. I’ve made many friendships, and learnt sports development skills throughout my years cheerleading. The atmosphere is always uplifting and I am constantly learning from the skilled staff members. I’ve had the amazing opportunity to cheer at the gym for 16 years and have experienced nothing but professional. The team building atmosphere has helped me in my personal and professional life to become more open. Overall the gym is well kept, staff are welcoming and encouraging. Would highly recommend this gym to anyone who is looking to further their cheerleading career or just starting out!

Fantastic experience: Amazing facility. The staff are great with kids and work hard to keep them engaged. Facility is so clean all the time. Lots of different programming, and during Covid there was ample opportunity to continue to train within Covid protocols. Communication is very open and prompt.

Fantastic experience: As an athlete who did not grow up in this gym, I found the coaching staff and fellow athletes to be welcoming, friendly and really warm towards someone (me) who was not as experienced but was willing to learn. Having been welcomed so quickly, I now do the same with new athletes because I know what it has been like to be the new person in a new environment. Even though I have only been cheering with Alberta Cheer Empire for 2 years now, going onto my third season this year, I am glad to continue to be a part of not just a team, but be part of a family with the entire gym. The coaches are friendly and are willing to push you to do better while being supportive and not beyond what one may not be capable of. They foster an environment where growth, encouragement and safety is key. Especially with the current health situation worldwide (Covid-19) the owner and staff are doing an amazing job keeping the gym sanitary, which brings me to do what I love most without having to worry as much when being in the gym. The protocols that have been enforced have put my mind at ease and I'm glad that safety has been put foremost anything else ever since sports has been allowed in the province. ACE in my opinion has adapted to everything very well and know they will continue to do their very best to keep their staff, athletes, and their families safe!

Negative experience: Poor programming and unprofessional staff. Went to try out the course for 4 & 5 years old and was disapointed on the program and teaching skills. They didn't teach any dancing class or cheerleading moves. They only jumped the entire time on a ball like any regular gym class at school. They were not welcoming ! One of the staff was rude to my 4 years old because she was bored and wanted to learn new things. Told her to go back home. They don't even tell you what they will be teaching they just want you to drop off your kids with no information on the teaching program. My daughter already does a lot of gymnastics difficult moves. They was no assessment to see where the child is currently at. It looked more like a babysitting service at a gym club. Will not recommend that establishment. If you are looking for an amazing teaching class for 4 to 5 years old where they will learn gymnastics and dance you should try the Little gym who are located in the south. Thank you

Wheelchair accessible washroom. Handy water fountain for when you've forgotten a water bottle. Tim Horton's is within walking distance. Comfortable couches and eating area for parents and athletes.
