Fantastic experience: Honestly a great gym. My expectations were a lot lower having been to the fit for less at superstore. This gym is a decent size, good machines (too many cardio machines in my opinion tho), and great spa amenities such as hydro massage, massage chairs, tanning, red light therapy and a wellness pod that’s pretty cool for wind down after an intense workout. For $30 a month you cannot get better. The deals on the app are kinda dumb because most of them are USA only websites but I don’t use them so I don’t really care. The music is great if you don’t have your headphones, facility is cleans and most people are respectful of boundaries and queues. Could definitely use more benches and less cardio machines

Positive experience: I would give this place 5 stars but I’m finding it hard to enjoy a work out when members like to hog equipment and not allow any other patrons to use items, or other member's will circle equipment in use until someone becomes uncomfortable and finally leaves. I do enjoy having access to high quality equipment for an inexpensive membership

Fantastic experience: Staff is welcoming and keeps the area clean- I consistently see them cleaning the restrooms, floors or wiping the machines. Large space with all the necessary equipment and not too busy.

Negative experience: So disappointed! Just bought my gym pass, met a friend at the gym for 5:30am and all the doors were locked. I hope this isn’t going to be an ongoing problem!

Negative experience: My wife woke up very early to attend a workout session today and no one was there to let her and her colleagues in! The website clearly states 5am opening hours… it’s after 5:30 and still no one! We try to call and your voicemail says I’m calling before operating hours! How is this acceptable ?

Fantastic experience: Clean, lots of amenities and machine options very friendly staff, good prices

Positive experience: First the pros - This gym is decent bang for your buck If you are a big gym buff most likely not for you It’s a gym with mostly everything you need but not everything you want example.. not enough chest equipment like only one fly machine as an example And variety of assisted machines definitely lacks a bit in comparison to other gyms That said you can get a very good workout in and cover the muscle groups well enough. The facility is very clean and staff are friendly, observant and make sure you’re being respectful of the facility which I personally like very much. All in all as a place to turn up throw some weights around or do some cardio it works just fine The bad - The showers are atrocious there’s is next to zero pressure at all it’s just a trickle as shown in the attached video how your supposed to get the soap off you I have no idea and given the changing area is kinda cool it doesn’t make for a nice experience at all And more importantly and obviously over looked in development is the danger of the shower area floor its super slippy tile my first ever shower and I almost fell twice and then did slip on the third time of stabilizing my self and landed straight on my back like a cartoon I been showering at gym and pools my whole life and I’ve never seen something so stupid they have to put mats down or something before someone gets seriously hurt in there Then there’s the changing room luckily the gym is not busy but if it ever did get busy I guess we’re lining up to watch each other change as there is 2 small benches to use and that’s it lol Enough for 4 people at a time basically sharing 2 benches Part of me wants to give the gym 3 stars but I think that would be harsh as it’s not a bad gym and you get what you pay for in life but certain things makes you think hmm this is frustrating to deal with Personally I’d rather have an even better range of equipment and a safe and more spacious and enjoyable changing area and showed than have all the spa stuff but it is what it is .

Positive experience: I wish you implement good hygiene.. smell is really disturbing... you should spray deodorant before comig in..

Fantastic experience: Great and affordable place for workouts… very flexible timings…

Negative experience: Place smells like moldy butter chicken and bad drivers. 4 hours after leaving got the flu. No baddies, place sucks!!

Fantastic experience: Nice big gym with lots of equipment. It’s never overly busy. The facility is kept very clean. The change room and bathroom area is also clean with multiple showers. Staff seem friendly. I haven’t used the other perks there but they have a separate area with the massage bed and tanning. Fave gym so far!

Positive experience: Gym is offered free to youth in summer and it makes visits less pleasant. Will be nice when all the broccoli hair teens are back in school.

Negative experience: Implementing a 59 dollars fee to downgrade from black to regular plan is not only outrageous, but very disrespectful right after paying the annual fee. I decided to cancel the whole thing and pay more for a competitor that I have to drive 5 minutes more than keep giving my business to you. This is ridiculous. If you think I’m gonna be quiet about this, think again. Already told my friends about this. Guess what they thought? They’ll never be your clients. Punishing people for downgrading and KEEPING a steady money flow incoming is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. Is there a fee for upgrading? I bet there isn’t. Ridiculous.

Positive experience: I guess the music sound in this gym is so loud that you are just not allowed to listen to your own music.

Fantastic experience: Decent selection of equipment, kept VERY clean, friendly attentive staff, okay hours. Blackcard facilities are worth it in my opinion. No complaints at this price point.

Fantastic experience: I'm gonna 5 star this. It's absolutely on the small side. Let's not lose sight. Let's keep this gym great. I would love to see a seated calf press. And maybe another cable crossover but the staff have been awesome and down to earth. They are regularly cleaning and keeping it up. No disrespectful signes like at the other PF I reviewed. Overall keep up the amazing work. Let's keep making this place better. It had the potential. Photo is from ANOTHER PF. So uncomfortable, and not going in a good direction.

Positive experience: You close too early Friday - Sunday, otherwise good experience using this facility

Positive experience: Nice gym with nice equipments, Not the biggest gym but it's quite functional.

Positive experience: This place is great for training very cheap lots of amenities to use and I've never been to a gymnast modified for how cheap it is

Negative experience: Guests are not allowed to workout alone even if plan member unlock the app access for $29 membership card which does not make any sense.

Negative experience: Boycott this business they allow men in woman’s washrooms that should be safe spaces.

Fantastic experience: Love Planet Fitness! I was not a gym girlie before, I started to accompany a friend and because the price point was so reasonable. The staff is wonderful and friendly, especially the assistant manager! Her and I always have a lovely chat when we get to see each other. Definitely lives up to their "You belong" brand. I can easily show up however I need to - Doing a cardio day, spending time in the circuit, or focusing on specific machines. This isn't a reflection of the staff or facility but I do wish more folks were aware of how the 30 minute circuit works. Gym goers often stay on machines past the "green light time" and don't move along to the follow machine.

Positive experience: Great facilities. Friendly staff. Downside are the hours. Never heard of a gym closing so early on a Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Hoping that management revisits this choice, as many parents can only go early or late in the day.

Fantastic experience: I would suggest just put all cardio machines to one side and free weights to the other, its just awkward when people are watching you from behind in their cardio macines

Negative experience: I went to the gym and a staff member named Alex was being very disrespectful towards me and my friend group.

Negative experience: I was trying to pursue my fitness journey and thought planet fitness would be the perfect spot however when I went to ask for help from a man named "Alex" he asked me if I was in the right spot before laughing at me. I thought to myself maybe I asked the wrong employee for help? But later I saw him helping other people out just fine. So later after coming to the conclusion he did in fact work there I went to ask help from him again but to my suprise he just laughed at me, rolled his eyes and left. I am absolutely flabbergasted that such an employee could work at this place. This place seems okay but Alex ruined my entire experience I will not be going again.

Negative experience: I was with my friends and I ask for help from a employee named Alex and he rolled his eyes at us and said some very inappropriate comments UNACCEPTABLE!!! You lost a customer

Positive experience: Very clean and organized. Staff are polite and friendly. Noticed that this Planet Fitness has no hammer strength machines. Not a big issue but, the ones I'm used to in Vancouver have them.

Negative experience: I visited the Airdrie center today with the intention of gathering information about registration. To my disappointment, I encountered a situation where only one person was manning the reception desk. Unfortunately, this individual was engrossed in a phone call and appeared completely unaware of my presence. It’s disheartening to think that companies sometimes employ individuals who lack even the basic courtesy to acknowledge someone standing right in front of them. On a positive note, I must admit that the facility itself appeared impressively well-maintained and clean. Will try to gather some more information online rather than visiting …

Positive experience: Plenty of equipment and options to pick from! Plenty of sanitizer stations but more instructions on proper usage would be great! The staff are okay but I didn't receive the advertised tour or explanation of much during my free day or when I signed up for the Black Card. One employee was on her phone a lot. Hope she was doing okay and there wasn't an emergency. The hours could be a bit later on the weekend for the non party people! The app seems very helpful and full of good information! The black card honestly seems worth it if you enjoy massage chairs, hydromassage beds, tanning, or red light therapy! Gotta figure out/ ask about the light therapy things still because they didn't explain but I'm excited to try them!

Fantastic experience: Nice and clean

Positive experience: I do like coming here so far but I will say the bathroom stalls are not as clean when I’ve been there in the mornings. I also find the mirrors are not set up too well… and in the back there are zero mirrors which makes it tough to see your form. Overall, the staff are very friendly and you can see people are trying to create a nice & welcoming atmosphere.

Fantastic experience: Really enjoying so far. As the other posts mention, the hours aren’t the best but they work for my schedule. The facility is very clean and the locker rooms are spacious. Cardio machines are great, but not a ton of room in the benches. There are lots of machines though, so even if you can’t get a bench there are tons of machines to target almost everything. The massage chairs are also great after a workout.

Positive experience: Hours should be 5 am to 11pm all 7 days. No other issues.

Positive experience: Weekend close times of 7pm are useless to any parent. Also Friday closing at 9 pm is ridiculous. I was about to switch to here until I saw those times.

Positive experience: This gym is not overly big. Has two of most every cable machine. I haven’t been when it’s busy so I’m not sure if it’s hard to get in a good work out. Lots of treadmills and other cardio equipment if that’s ur thing. Price is good so good to bad ratio I’d say it’s a 7 out of 10

Positive experience: I can work with not having all the equipment I like to use(ie, squat rack). But I am not able to comprise my workout schedule. I wish the hours were earlier. I need to be done by 5-5:30 am. Not starting at that time. But overall it’s a great gym.

Positive experience: Pros* ******************* -Clean -Big -nice machines (love the rep counters) -Nice cardio machines (love the built in fans) -Great staff -Black card is worth it. those massage chairs and hydro beds are amazing -Love the app and the crowd meter -Lots of Parking CONS* ************** -Hours on Fridays is horrible. Hours on Friday to Sunday are horrible This is the only really huge negative which will bother everyone here in Airdrie. They did not study the demographics of Airdrie good enough to understand many people here work in oil and gas, construction, landscaping, welding or work in Calgary etc and get home late. These hours do not work for most of us here and they should change it to 5 to 11pm 7 days a week. -The other con is the free weights area with the dumbells is crowded. so everyone seems too close. i feel that you need 10 feet more to have it feel spacious and give people some space who are using the weights but not using the benches. once you do that. guaranteed you will have no negatives and surely grab the majority of people. hope you read this! (PS i still like the place a lot. just pointing out the two cons.
