Positive experience: I very much enjoy this gym it is very convenient being open 24 hours and it’s nice to be able to go late when the gym is quiet. it’s also very clean and well organized all around the building. only thing i could find to complain about is the machines aren’t very advanced. overall good experience!

Negative experience: Overcrowded, and loud. Could be cleaner. Bathrooms in particular and have never once witnessed staff wipe down the machines. Has no classes unless other Anytimes. Overall not a great value for what you pay.

Negative experience: WOULD GIVE 0 STARS. They charged me for a key fob I returned during my 10 day trial period and refused to refund me. The staff straight up lied to my face about this issue and now I have to dispute the charge on my credit card. Super disappointed with the service from this gym. Save your money time and frustration and go elsewhere !!

Negative experience: I’ve been a member at this gym for over a year, and I’m extremely disappointed. They charge way too much for what you get. The equipment is mediocre at best, and I haven’t seen any new additions (aside from treadmills) the entire time I’ve been here. Even worse, they enforce strange rules — like not allowing members to take their shirts off in a dedicated lighting room, which makes no sense considering that’s what many people use it for. When I filled out a survey mentioning how overcrowded the gym is, their only response was to suggest I find another gym. That attitude sums up the experience here: they don’t care about improving, just about squeezing as much money as they can out of members. Avoid this place if you’re looking for quality and customer service.

Negative experience: Terrible customer service and I had to take a tour on Monday. Couldn’t even get a day pass SMH.

Fantastic experience: Extremely friendly staff, facility is always spotless clean. members are friendly and helpful.

Positive experience: Decent place to workout, club is clean but change area is cluttered with stuff people just leave/forget there. Membership is a bit expensive for what you get but not many options out here so it is what it is.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Cobourg almost 2 years ago. After some research of local gyms I landed at Anytime Fitness. I am very happy with the choice I made. For one, I love the 24 hr access. Life can get busy as we all know so having that flexibility is really nice. I believe they are the only 24hr gym in Cobourg? Secondly, from day one the staff has always been very welcoming and positive. They do a great job with the members, keeping the facility clean and inviting and the gym is stocked with a ton of great equipment and accessories. My wife has now also joined and she is really settling in and enjoying the gym as well. Thank you Anytime Fitness for welcoming us with open arms!

Fantastic experience: I've visited maybe 50 Anytime Fitnesses across North America.. This is one of the better ones. Clean, well-maintained, etc. Gets a little busy -- but that may be a pro or a con, depending on what you like.

Negative experience: So I applied for a free pass that is available on the website. I received the confirmation email which advised I would receive a no obligation to join 7 days pass which I thought was a great incentive. Me and my wife both attended and met with a member of staff. The free trial was never mentioned and we paid for a day pass. When we questioned this we were told by the employee that anytime fitness no longer offers free trials….not very good offering a service online then denying it on arrival.

Positive experience: This gym is on the small side, but is laid out well. It has pretty much everything you could need for a good workout. They always keep it clean, aswell. The issue is the lack of equipment maintenance, specifically the cable attachments. The ropes, v bar, pulldown bars, and some of the single handles are worn out or damaged, and need replacing. Shouldn't be an issue considering there is an extra fee taken from every member's account. If that money isn't for the membership or to replace equipment, what is it for? Vacations?

Fantastic experience: Thank you anytime Fitness, Cobourg. I am enjoying my workout time at this gym. It takes me a few minutes from my home to get to the gym which is a very convenient location for me. I also really like the variety of exercise equipment there and the cleanliness of the overall environment. The staff and members also seem friendly and pleasant. Thank you again.

Negative experience: So busy, good luck trying to get on any machines or benches if you work 9-5 and sleep during the night. When it's brought up to staff you get told "come when it's less busy", yes let me just set my entire day around when I can get a bench at the gym I pay for. Not to mention you're paying the same price as other big name gyms with 1/3 of the amenities. Hate that this is the only option in Cobourg. Plus side, it's clean.

Negative experience: Horrible, continued to bill my account months after I asked for my account to be canceled. Now they are sending it to collections even though I’m going in and out of surgeries and can’t use a gym membership.

Fantastic experience: Amazing fitness center!! Super clean and well-maintained facility. Fully equipped with a wide variety of weight machines, free weights, cardio section and yoga studio, this gym can easily accomodate any workout style. I love the individual bathrooms complete with showers - they make getting ready for work after early morning sessions easy and convenient. Staff are very friendly and helpful, and gym members are all welcoming and nonjudgmental. Easily my favourite gym I have ever belonged to!

Fantastic experience: I have been a member for two years. I find the staff to be excellent. Ready and willing to help. Fellow clients are willing to lend a helping hand when needed. I should also mention that I am a paraplegic in a manual wheel chair. That doesn't let my chair or disability stand in the way of doing things. The fees are not nearly as high as their compedators as the Cobourg Y which I used to belong too for 6 years. The experience that I have had overall with ANYTIME FITNESS has been GREAT. I HIGHLY recommend giving them a try.

Positive experience: The ability to workout on your schedule is such a great concept that I wish more gyms had. Although the Cobourg location does not have great options for cardio (they need a better bike and an assault bike) the rest of the gym is good with its lifting options.

Negative experience: Read the find print and dont believe the lie she said about you can quite anytime. Your locked in for a year .

Fantastic experience: I love this gym! You get a key fob when you join so you can go anytime day or night. It is clean and the eqipment is well maintained. It is a convenient location for me and the price is right. They have individual shower rooms for privacy. They even have a personal trainer if so desired.

Fantastic experience: By far the best Anytime Fitness center I've been to. The staff is helpful and friendly. Most equipment is new, but all are kept in good shape. This is the only place my friend and I will go to work out.
