Tumblers Gymnastics Centre

Positive experience: Good, took recreational programs, and had a birthday party. Seems to operate smoothly. However I had never seen any staff member older than 16-17 yo.

Negative experience: I think one of the parents said it best, some if not most of the instructors lack the maturity required to adequately instruct children. I've witnessed children in unsafe positions trying to maneuver flips or rotating on bars. I've talked to the instructor to gently remind her my child is a novice, in one ear and out the next. She would routinely look the other way and this is with children as young as 4-5., which is ironic because they charge insurance in the event of injury. This particular instructor wore a mask which is her prerogative but she would use a tone of voice that was inaudible in a loud gym and she'd often tell the children they aren't listening when the reality is they couldn't hear her. The final straw was when the substitute to the regular instructor, who I thought couldn't be worse, looked like she was hung over. She sat for most of the class, cross-legged and was swaying back and forth looking out to space and twirling her hair while the kids did whatever in the circuit. I asked to speak to the manager and the gentleman , although he said he'd speak to her I was given the impression that my concern was taken lightly. They were off talking and laughing right after, not much changed except that the substitute instructor was now standing but still out to space. Wouldn't recommend for younger kids.

Negative experience: This is the last year we will be putting our kids in their day camp. The staff is very young and they do not have the proper training to deal with younger children. Both my children didn’t enjoy their experience. The staff would swear and one went as far as belittling my son.

Negative experience: Super negative experience. The coaches they have seem to have no understanding how children are and seem to have no patience at all. They yell and shame children for not listening. Even though their “customer service” is very positive, helpful and deals with the issue effectively (changing dates and times so you don’t have to work with that coach) it shouldn’t be happening in the first place. I have spoken to two other parents who have had very similiar situations as mine; coaches shaming children and yelling and neglecting. They do try to rectify the issue but the fact that they hire these students/young people who don’t seem to have a respectful bone in their body is not good enough. These kids are small and need guidance and patience. The gym is also very dusty and dirty looking. My allergies acted up very quickly. Never had this issue with the other gym in Orleans (⭐️). So, proceed with caution is my advice.

Fantastic experience: - Great place for competitions. - Large venue for a tumblers gym, we'll equiped. - Really liked the fact they have a separate area for prize awards so as to save parents tine since they could carry competitions and prior gymnastics category award ceremony in parallel. - Ample parking as even with many athletes competing or being awarded at the same time, we were able to fund a parking spot within the same Plaza. - I really like the French ambience and bukingualism, I just wish they had run the text on the banners through the spellchecker...Tumblers vous souhaite la bienvenue...instead of ... vous souhaiteS, as in the picture I added.

Fantastic experience: My daughter started gymnastics last fall at Tumblers and she loves it! Great service and the coaches are great with the kids! The facility is clean. They also do monthly fun activities for the kids!

Fantastic experience: We LOVE tumblers! Both my girls absolutely love their classes and the coaches have been amazing. The special events (Easter the last one attended) was so much fun and I would recommend it to everyone! Looking forward to the next one!

Fantastic experience: My daughter is in the pre-comp program and loves it. We also attend kids night out and open gym and she is always asking to return. From the reception, to the coaches, couldn’t ask for any better!

Fantastic experience: My daughter just started the competitive trampoline program at tumblers . She is enjoying it a lot and find her coach Yann extremely knowledgeable , kind and knows how to make her improve her skills. Would definitely recommend it!!

Fantastic experience: Great facility with great coaches! My son has now been going to Tumblers for more than 7 years and has been competing at the provincial level for over 5 years. He's learn so much and he loves it. He keeps learning new skills and got silver at the all-around at his last competition, really proud of him and to be part of the Tumblers family ;)

Fantastic experience: We joined Tumblers last year and have no regrets! My son has tried out most of the gymnastics clubs in the Ottawa-Gatineau area and this is by far the best. It's a family environment with great coaches.

Fantastic experience: Tumblers is a fantastic gym for gymnasts of all levels. Their coaches are second to none. The coaches know how to get athletes to elite status if that's your goal or to just have fun and learn a few skills or anything in between. The Tumblers staff make this a very family friendly environment. My son has been going for years and loves it.

Fantastic experience: A welcoming staff that keeps a clean lobby, which has this cool smoothie machine! The gym itself has a variety of equipment to accommodate the several class variations in addition to their diverse age differences. My favorite gymnastics club by far; checks off all the right boxes in my book!

Fantastic experience: This club came highly recommended by a friend whose daughter is in the competitive class... and now I see why. Big selection of classes for all ages, levels, and interests. Coaches who pay attention and foster talent. Great communication from admin. They’ve gone above and beyond during Covid to keep the kids safe and moving. All 3 of my kids can’t wait to return once restrictions are lifted.

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love tumblers. My little ones are in the recreation program and always have a blast. There are tons of convenient timeslots for classes and they have open gym and kids nights too! My older daughter is in the competitive program and has improved an outrageous amount in the last year. Her coaches are phenomenal and she is so well prepared for her first competition. If you are looking for a serious place to train and have your kids develop, this is the place. The gym is so well equipped with all of the equipment needed to develop high performing athletes. And the ladies at the front desk are just the icing on the cake. Always helpful and willing to go above and beyond. I can’t say enough great things about Tumblers.

Fantastic experience: My daughter's been in the competitive program for 4 years now. She's made the best friendships, and has a coach she really looks up to who gets how to work with her to get her to perform at her best. Tumblers is her second home.

Positive experience: Great experience for my 4yr old, she really loves it. The gym area is good but waiting /observation area for parents is a nightmare. Tiny, disorganized and next to the front door so your always getting hit by cold winds during winter. Also the shoe removal area being right as you walk in create a bottleneck and garantees you end up walking in water. Great for the kids, a nightmare for the parents

Negative experience: This review is based on the orleans location for drop ins. Definitely not ideal for toddlers. Not much for them to do. Equipment seemed really broken, frayed, worn. Lots of changes in floor heights so you really have to pay attention. Mats and floors are really worn. Not safe in most areas for kids under 5. Equipment is everywhere. Not clean lots of chalk dust on Equipment. No high chairs for young ones to sit if they want to eat. Just needs a lot of cleaning, tlc, and safer options for toddlers

Negative experience: We went here for the drop in on a Wednesday afternoon. When we got there we went in and the guy working there said "oh we switched the drop ins to Monday's and Thursdays"(these might not be the actual day I forget them). He was super rude to us and stubborn on not letting us in even though we and friend's drove 1 and a half hours to get there. So we went back outside and started to get in our cars but the guy came back out and apologized and said he would call a coach to come so we can go in and do it anyway. still we probably won't go back. The facility is decent though and we have not done any of the classes. still would not recommend going here.

Positive experience: We find the staff a little aloof, at least during the end of August Day Camp. Maybe they're just tired after a long summer.

Fantastic experience: I just wanted to thank Coach Leanne she was so amazing to our son and to my husband and I. She really puts her heart into everything she does! Thanks again.

Negative experience: If your child is struggling, coach doesn't pay much attention to it. I haven't seen much support provided nearly as it is needed for the kids that need a bit more support compared to the rest of the class.

Negative experience: Being rude to a 2 year old child is insane. Never have I witnessed adults act like the kids there teaching. I have no idea how you operate your business but mabye you should have some children friendly staff around who aren't rude and condescending to todlers....

Fantastic experience: Worth visiting. I like that they have days (currently Saturdays) when everyone for a relatively small fee can try out the gym. Also they have open doors days for newcomers who are interested in gymnastics for their children. The gym is very safe to be, every corner, every wall and floors are protected. I cannot say anything about level of couching here as we did not try long term programs yet. But when you make a drop in here, stuff members are helpful for sure. In general, if you come here , you should at least want to be strong, better if you are already strong. All kinds of athletics should be subsidised from country or city budget. The most skilful and prospective children should get some support in order not to loose them. Price is always a drawback if you speak about sport in Canada. Also, more than enough parking space.

Fantastic experience: A hidden gem for parents and children alike. The centre had very well trained, courteous and fun coaches. Good selection of gymnastics programs. Their summer camp is exceptionally well run and provides a wonderful development opportunity for younger kids. Every week has a different theme, Friday pizza days (hotdogs and popsicles for the beach theme week), fun with different inflatable games, tie dye fun and so much more. I would highly recommend booking the summer camp early as the weeks get booked up quickly. The kids night-out days are fun and engaging.

Fantastic experience: We used Tumblers gym for our sons 5th birthday party and it was just perfect!! It was a great experience from start to finish. The online booking was easy, the email follow ups leading up to the date were clear and had all the necessary details for the day of, the staff (Host and Coach) made this experience great for the kiddos and parents. The room was the perfect size, nicely decorated and the team just made my little guy's day really special. I would definitely book there again!

Fantastic experience: I used to go to this gym at a competitive level and it was really fun and everyone was so nice and everyone was supportive like one big family! But I left because of Covid-19 and I’m pretty bummed about that since I miss friends and coaches that were so nice.

Fantastic experience: We had the pleasure of being invited to a boys meet in Ottawa yesterday by a parent who's boy trains with Tumblers Gymnastics Centre. I was impressed with the discipline of the athletes, and the caliber of coaching. The coach was firm, yet supportive, and you could tell things are done right at this centre. I am purely speaking as an outsider looking in, but wouldn't hesitate to have my kids join Tumblers Gymnastics Centre.

Negative experience: Family Friendly depending on who you talk to Some Knowledgeable staff

Fantastic experience: Both my boys have been part of the recreational program for a few years now. They’ve always enjoyed it! They’ve also hosted a birthday party for us which was tons of fun for the kids. I’ve noticed many improvements over the past year since under new management! Will be a loyal customer for years to come.

Negative experience: We took our daughter there for a PD day We specifically asked that she be in the same group as her 2 cousins so at least they know each other. We emailed but never got a response We called the day before and they asked to speak to the coach the morning of Friday morning we asked the coach and he said no problem I just picked up my daughter and she was crying stating they were not in same group. I asked staff why but they couldn’t give me an answer saying sometime this happens.... Les sittelles all the way

Fantastic experience: My children love Tumblers, I do as well! My oldest daughter competes and absolutely loves it, she has learned so much! The coaches are amazing! My 3 other children do recreational classes! I have a 3 year old, 6 year old and 7 year old, they all get so excited to go each week! Amazing gym! :)

Fantastic experience: I have been in gymnastics over the past 40 years from owning clubs to coaching. New high level female and male coaches are now coaching competitive teams, recreational teams as well as trampoline and tumbling. The atmosphere of the club is one of family, fun, and learning. This is a gym where the coaches really care about your child and treat them with respect. Gymnastics is a sport that will enhance other sports like soccer, hockey, skiing etc. Give Tumblers a try....your child will thank you for it!

Les entraineurs connaissent vraiment la gymnastiques et sont hautement quaifie. J"ai visite d'autres clubs mais Tumblers reste le meilleur a mes yeux et a ceux des mes enfants :)

Fantastic experience: Both my daughters have been going there since they are toddlers, and are now both part of the competitive team. The staff is wonderful, very caring, and knowledgeable in the sport! It's about much more than simple gymnastics; there is a real family atmosphere in the gym. The recreational coaches receive monthly clinics to help perfect their techniques, which I find refreshing. The gym is clean and well-equipped. Very satisfied customer :)

Positive experience: Had a birthday party here for my daughter over the weekend and everyone had a great time. One thing that stood out was that the party room was quite cluttery and could use a little bit of a tidy up. Things stacked on top of the fridge that show in the party pics (not a good look). Other than that we had a great time. The kids loved the hosts and the activities.

Negative experience: Show up for drop in and website doesn't say there is a competition even though other competitions (including next Day) are listed. Bad

Negative experience: Unfriendly, rude staff. Tell you one thing over the phone and another at the gym. Very unhelpful. Not coming again. Much better gyms elsewhere in Orleans.

Fantastic experience: My son has been going to Tumblers since he was 3.. He is now in the Men's Competitive program and loving every minute for his time there. This is his second home and Family. Thank you to all the coaches that have been part of my son's life.. 16 years and counting

Negative experience: The staff is borderline rude, not helpful, and have an awe full attitude, the instructor are not friendly either. Overall, seems like a miserable place to be. We had only one class and after being promised to be completely refunded but loosing $85 along the way regardless (registration + admin fee) we definetly won’t be back,

Negative experience: Awful management. Unhappy looking front desk staff. Communication severely lacking. Terrible experience. Very disappointing. Will not be back. ..... Questionable hiring practices.

Negative experience: this place is a joke the staff is miserable the coach is weird and out of shape don't know how they got him training.also find it strange that they punish your kids there when they don't do good and make boys wear tights. I highly don't recommend going to this place

Fantastic experience: Recently started using the afterschool/aftercare program here. My two boys love it and the staff has been fantastic.

Negative experience: Gym always seems like it’s cluttered. The ladies who work the front desk during the day are often rude and can never crack a smile. One of them ran into my 18m old daughter and didn’t bother to apologize or even acknowledge her. I would’ve rated this gym a 1 star if it weren’t for my daughter who enjoys herself when she goes.

Positive experience: My son was invited to a birthday party at this location. Although I wasn't sure if they had any security measures. I think it's a Great concept to keep kids active with gymnastics for a party with available party room.
