Negative experience: I don’t understand why there are so many positive reviews. The community is toxic, there’s no barbell for free weight workouts, no proper benches for bench press, everything is on the Smith machine. 0/10 YEAH BUDDY.

But after a few times of attending I have become comfortable with going, the benefits of going to Planet Fitness are over and above what you would expect from a gym. The black card membership is worth every penny that it cost you.

Positive experience: Nice facility and great staff. No heavy weights or squat racks (smith machines only) so not much good to people looking for serious work, but a great place to start your journey.

Fantastic experience: A really great gym with plenty of space and equipment. The prices are the most reasonable for what you get whether it's a basic or black card membership. The gym is 24/7 which keeps flexibility an option for anyone with a hectic schedule or consistency in training for anyone who likes routine. Statutory holidays would be the only times they've been closed (obviously understandable), but the staff has been really good at giving plenty of notice for any closures - they are great with assistance whether it's a phone call or in person!

Fantastic experience: I've only been to this gym a few times but i liked it. The staff was nice. I went to New Member Orientation and I dunno if I can put her name here but the staff member that I had to see was super friendly to me. She showed me the ropes and how to use all the machines.

Fantastic experience: Great staff, great environment, super friendly, very helpful, and extremely inclusive. No one, not even the other members, will make you feel ashamed for going. Highly recommend!

Negative experience: As a life long fan of working out & going to different gyms I have to say that this is a major disappointment to me. Never have I ever been so disrespected by the staff that work there. Never will I ever step foot into this building again.

Negative experience: I have been to this gym numerous times. EVERY SINGLE time i am asked to get my picture taken. You would think that after the first time it would be properly saved in the system. I do NOT want my picture taken every evening i walk in this gym. When the employee just asked me again for my picture, i denied and he told me it was mandatory, I left the gym and if this is such a judgement free zone then why am i being Forced to get this done every time I visit. If this is such a mandate then why isn’t you’re system properly saving these every time i am asked And to add to this the employee was working out as i stood there waiting for him to come serve me then for him to ask if i was looking for something. If i was to attend any other gym i would not be asked about my identification every time i attend even tho ive purchased a membership and have been using it for months. Very Unorganized.

Fantastic experience: My very first gym membership. Very chill inside and super friendly and encouraging staff. Don’t be intimidated by the lunk alarm, I’ve never seen it go off in the months I’ve been there. Love the black spa, so worth the extra bucks a month. I finish every workout with a hydro massage

Positive experience: If you are starting at a gym for the first time this gym is perfect for you. But if you are getting to the next level or you like to try and compete in body building or power lifting this isn’t your gym. But if u are an average gym going this gym is perfect. My only complaint is the free weights only go up to 70-75lbs. So eventually you may need to go someone else for bigger weights. But for what I use it for this gym is perfect. And the price point is perfect as well. About 1/2 the cost of other gym and with the other gyms you often get way less

Positive experience: Only issue I've had and have heard from others is the fact that if any of the tanners, or body enhancer machines don't start at first you have to get redressed and head out to the front desk . This is very disappointing and upsetting. What would be great is to have an intercom in each room for these types of situations.Great staff and great equipment.

Fantastic experience: The gyms in bigger provinces don’t provide a fraction of what a Black Card membership gets you here, when myself and my roommates wanted to get into a healthier lifestyle we came in to sign up together and one of the employees named Nick gave us a personal tour of the entire facility which I don’t believe he needed to do- there’s a great variety of machines in a welcoming atmosphere here which makes it a fantastic starter gym. The amenities such as the massage chair and hydro massage beds are absolutely divine and I can’t express my full pleasure with them without getting this review removed for inappropriate language- it’s that good. Even if you don’t plan on exercising, if you have any sort of physical intensive job or get stiff easy the value you get from the massage beds and chairs is miles worth it- the max level leg and back massage changed my life forever

Positive experience: The appearance of the gym is amazing but what ever tile they use (the grey) it is a death trap next to the water machine. The crowd meter is incorrect could say 3 bars and they gym is full. With just being out of a pandemic the machines are almost on top of one another, plus as a woman when machines are facing one another it makes me uncomfortable when a man is literally staring at you the whole time. If all of this was fixed it would be a 5 easily.

Negative experience: I had a terrible experience and dishonesty from the front desk workers (some of them to be honest). I brought my daughter (11 years old) to stay with me in the gym; after 30 minutes of our entry, the front desk came and asked me about her age (never asked when I checked in). I replied to them politely that she is 11; they told me she is not allowed to be in the Gym; I said ok, shall we go home; they said no need to go back home, she can wait for you on the couch. I said ok, and my daughter waited for me 1 hour on the couch. After a few days, I found my membership had been canceled due to several notifications on different days regarding my daughter?!!! This is absolutely NOT true; once they notified me only one time, I keep followed their directions and did not bring my daughter inside the gym again. How come the front desk deals with this dishonesty with their customers?? Why they didn't ask about the age of my daughter before I went inside? Why they said that I had been notified several times while it was only one, and I did what they told me?? I feel that they did a trap for me to cancel my membership. P.S.: I complained to the manager; she was nice and cooperative; she restored my membership; however, I don't trust the front desk workers anymore. They can say anything not true, and the customer who only pays the price of their dishonesty.

Positive experience: Decent gym, especially for the cost. Certainly a smaller centre, on busy days there is typically some waiting, especially for some of the higher demand machines. Most cardio machines can connect to apple watches but notably have no support for WearOS and Fitbit, oddly excluding half of the smart watch market. The small size is certainly its biggest downfall, particularly as there is only one in the entire province which is disappointing. The parking lot is very small too, which can be challenging to navigate with larger vehicles. The facility itself is very clean and for black card members it has massage chairs, hydro massages, tanning, and light therapies, however, there often is a lineup to access these services. I would say to check the planet fitness app before going to find out how busy it is, however, that is not live data but is an estimated number based on historical data according to the app. I recommend checking how busy it is on Google Maps before going as it seems to be WAY more accurate. Despite some of the problems mentioned above, it does have a welcoming atmosphere and is very well priced for any fitness facility, let alone one with such services.

Fantastic experience: Planet Fitness is clean, equipment is great, staff are friendly and helpful, black card membership is worth the extra $10 for access to the massage chairs, red light therapy and tanning etc. Space for after-workout stretching could be improved a little.

Positive experience: Staff is very friendly. The facility leaks over some of the cardio equipment, and the crowd tracker does not work at all. It can be packed with only 2 bars out of ten. People are nice but your machine will get taken if you step away for a second.

Positive experience: It would have 5 stars but even with the premium black card membership there is little to no one on one consulting with the personal trainer. It's difficult to know what the machines are for and if you are using them correctly and have correct form. It is a great gym though. Friendly and fun.

Where there's less equipment, it's a great spot for those who want a simple or basic workout without the intimidation of a lot of equipment and your typical gym goers.

Positive experience: Great atmosphere with friendly staff and decent music playing. Alot of new equipment and is kept clean by staff members as well as club members by using the many cleaning stations. It is the cheapest gym I could find but you get a high quality workout space that is open 24 hours. Only downside is male change room is a bit small with only a few showers. The app is good with its real time crowd meter to show how full the gym is at any given time and you can use it to scan into the gym. But the app could use some improvements in weight loss tracking, maybe a fitness journal you could go into more detail of what you did that day, and edit/delete from your fitness history.

Positive experience: I really enjoy the perks of the membership but I often find it is over crowded and hard to use the machines you want as they are all taken. Same for the massage chairs, you have to plan out your time here. Overall I really enjoy it and don't feel judged at all

Lots of machines to choose from (THAT HAVE BUILT IN FANS ), the staff is very friendly, there are lots of cleaning stations throughout the facility to wipe equipment after your workout & the best part is they are very affordable! ❤️

Negative experience: Staff behind counter were disinterested in serving me. We're all just chatting to themselves with their backs to the counter. Space was much smaller than expected. Things were very close together. Female change room locker area was very small and only one bench to use. Felt claustrophobic.

Negative experience: Told to "hold my breath" during sets as breathing intimidates the staff. Have had nothing but positive interactions with other members from helping them with form, to spotting for them but none of us will be coming back. "Judgement free zone" unless you're bigger than one of the staff members, then he gets his little feelings hurt

Negative experience: Dont go here if you are serious about fitness. Openly against bodybuilding and powerlifting and restricts equipment to enforce that.
