Fantastic experience: After knee replacement surgery (both knees, one in Jan 2023 and the other Jan 2024) my main goal was to strengthen my lower body and increase my mobility. I really just wanted to be able to perform my daily tasks without pain when I started back in April of this year. I trusted in the process and the gang at Iron Alliance. Lanre, Liv, Malika and Vanessa have been patient and a constant source of support in my recovery process. Over six months later and I can honestly say that I have improved and feel great about my recovery. I have since set new goals to reach. I am truly grateful for the wealth of knowledge and inspiration they each bring to the gym. Lanre and Liv and the rest of the gang have done a great job in fostering a special community that is Iron Alliance.

Fantastic experience: IAAC has fun classes with friendly and capable trainers who are fully invested not only in your health and fitness, but also just getting to know you as a person. On top of that, my classmates are all ages from all walks of life with no egos or arrogance, just support and encouragement. Liv and Lanre and the whole Iron Alliance crew have built an amazing space and community over there, go check it out!

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Iron Alliance for anyone who is serious about investing in themselves. I just passed my 1 year anniversary and am posting this picture because that should say it all - but doesn't. I went looking for a gym that could get me feeling better and on a path to health, which we all do with any gym. The difference here are the coaches and the members. Big shout out to Coaches Lanre, Liv and Malika who invested in me. They designed a plan specifically for me, changed as we went including nutrition, @home routines, strength training, schedules and weekly accountability checkins. I went in with high hopes and lots of doubts. A year later I am now working towards strength and mobility I have never had. If you have tried and failed or finally committed to trying give the team here a chance - you won't be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have had an amazing experience at Iron Alliance. It is a very inclusive environment. I hadn't worked out in years, and the coaches are very attentive to ensure that I know how to do each exercise to achieve maximum benefit and to avoid any injury. I love that classes have a maximum of 6 people so you feel comfortable asking questions and getting the attention you need from the coaches. After struggling to lose one pound a month on my own and with other fitness/nutrition advisors, I lost 8lbs in my first month with Iron Alliance and didn't even notice! It was only when my workout pants started falling down that I realized I had changed my body. Also, it's so empowering to lift weights! I can't believe I hadn't tried it before, but in other gyms it was intimidating. I can't say enough about my experience, it has been positive and fun.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience at Iron Alliance! Great coaches, friendly people, and most of all, it was challenging! I've played multiple sports throughout my life but never really challenged myself with lifting. The six-week program really gave me confidence to push my physical limits and focus on flexibility as well as strength.

Julie Philip 1 year ago

Fantastic experience: I’ve discovered that I like to lift heavy things... who’d a thunk? I live in the Stockyards area and had seen the promotional materials for the 6-week challenge program many times, I thought "I could do that... maybe... i think?""... it took me almost a year before I actually stepped up and contacted them for information. I’ve kicked myself many times for not calling sooner to start my fitness journey.... From that first conversation with Liv on the phone, to my initial meeting and onboarding with Lanre, I could tell that THIS was a place that sparkles with good energy and community. The program Liv and Lanre put together was tailored to my individual goals and needs, it includes nutritional support and lots of extra guidance too, the gym is easy for me to get to with lots of free parking, more equipment than you'll ever need, and an easy-to-use app to book workouts and now track progress. The strength training classes are small ( 6 persons max) jam packed and so much fun – even if you have an pre-existing injury –Liv, Lanre and their amazing coaches will modify the exercises so that you are safe, but they will also push you when you need it to reach higher goals so that you get in a workout that gets your blood pumping and keeps you smiling. The clientele are also the best people - everyone is kind and welcoming to every level of ability.... you don’t have to know anything about strength training to do this! I completed my 6-week challenge and felt so good both physically and mentally, that I signed on for another 6 months. I’m currently 23 lbs down and feeling stronger and perkier than I ever could have dreamed given the sad tired body that I came to them with. This is a team that is fully invested in their clients.

Fantastic experience: I enrolled with Iron Alliance nearly two years ago as an achy desk worker in his mid-30s who'd never found an athletic activity that stuck for me. I doubted that weightlifting would, but the gym had a promotion going on, so what did I have to lose? Today, physical exercise is a part of my life in a way that still frequently surprises me. Coaches Lanre and Liv are a big part of what got me here: they have created an environment at Iron Alliance that is accessible to people of every skill level and is as friendly as it is professional. Even in the semi-private classes, they take a personal interest in the progress of each individual and tailor workouts to focus on our weaknesses, ensuring that no one is left behind. Most importantly, they make you feel like their success is tied to yours. If you're like me two years ago, you might see weightlifting gyms as hubs for fitness freaks with undiagnosed personality disorders. And that might be true elsewhere! But not at Iron Alliance. Give it a shot and you may just end up learning something new about yourself.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Iron Alliance for almost 2 years. I’ve always been active and enjoyed group fitness classes but became unmotivated with home workouts during covid. When I joined, I loved the attention given to each person in the small group classes, especially as I was first learning the form and technique of the lifts. They helped get me back into a routine where I was prioritizing my physical health and it felt amazing seeing the progress week by week as I was able to lift heavier weights. Liv and Lanre helped me safely stay active and strong through my pregnancy, checking in and making adjustments to my classes as needed. They’ve since helped me recover post-partum and I’m back to feeling like my old, strong, self again. I highly recommend joining this amazing community!

Fantastic experience: I've been coming for about 3 months and IAAC is amazing. Gyms well kept, has everything you need, and the garage doors on a sunny day are amazing. The best part though is the culture here. Owners, staff, and gym goers are all friendly, courteous and supportive. It's a little community for experienced fitness folks, and those new to the gym. Big step up from the big box gyms in a lot of ways. Plus, it's next to Rainhard Brewery for all of your "post-workout" needs :)

Fantastic experience: This place is more than a regular gym , the coaches are great , you learn so much about proper techniques of doing weight lifting, trainers are very knowledgeable and will be able to correct you and help you accordingly. Also it’s a very positive , non judgmental place for everyone ( any age group) , I have been going there for than 4 months , both mentally and physically feeling stronger than ever . Highly recommend! Do check out.

Fantastic experience: I don't normally give 5 as I believe there's always room for improvement. But I'm not sure how this place can improve any better. I love the knowledge from the coaches. They listen, they address and work through injuries. I signed up while dealing with Frozen Shoulder where my mobility and strength of my left arm was limited. Their encouragement and knowing when to push you to your limits has given me confidence. The culture is different, welcoming, supportive, and fun, but most of all 3 weeks in my program and I'm already being noticed with results! So yes, I am definitely recommending this place to others. Keep up the good work. IAAC Team!!‍♀️

Fantastic experience: I know how important weight training is particularly for women, to maintain our muscle and bones as we age, but I knew needed help to keep me motivated and safe, and I found it big time in this gym. The classes they offer are small (up to 6 people) so even though there are all different body shapes, sizes, and ages attending, the trainers personalize each exercise to your own ability. Their attention to each person is very reassuring, and I find hearing their instructions not only to me but also to the others helps me to learn not only the proper form and but also every one's names. Makes me feel like we're all this together, at whatever level we're at. You get a full-body workout each time covering all major muscle groups (legs, arms, chest, back and abs). It starts with a good warmup and stretches and it ends with a very heart-pumping set of various low weight (or no weight) but high intensity exercises. Although the workout leaves me spent for awhile afterwards, the point of all this is to be stronger and agile in my everyday life and I'm seeing that Besides that, the gym is conveniently accessible, lots of free parking, more equipment than you'll ever need. The app to book workouts makes it very easy. The support is fantastic. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Been going here for about 3 years, very supportive and inclusive community. I was nervous to start working out due to a lack of experience, but the coaches and participants alike are super begginer friendly. I could barely lift the lightest weights when I started out but I could always count on some encouragement to push through. 3 years strong & don't regret a thing

Fantastic experience: I’ve been a member for 6 weeks now and can’t say enough good things about Iron Alliance!! If you want to reach your fitness goals give them a shot…great trainers, fun atmosphere and they definitely give you that extra push you you wouldn’t get working out alone at a big box gym!

Fantastic experience: I've been going here for around a year now and it's been one of the best times of my life! Almost all of my joint pain has vanished, I can comfortably walk multiple kilometres when I wasn't able to before. The community that comes here is always so lovely and judgment-free. As a trans person, I feel like this space is so much more accepting and safe compared to a commercial gym. The staff listen so well while still pushing you to do your best with what you have that day. If you're nervous about going to the gym, I'd highly recommend this space!

Fantastic experience: I had seen an advertisement for Iron Alliance almost a year ago and previously gone in to talk about their program; however, I wasn't ready to sign up at that time. Now looking back, I realize that was a big mistake on my part and should have signed up then because they are incredible! I can honestly say this is one of the BEST athletic centres I've ever been a part of. I've been working out with Iron Alliance for the past 6 weeks and have absolutely loved every minute of it. The smaller group class sizes are fantastic, the instructors are amazing, the workouts are challenging (especially the finisher!) and the other members are incredibly supportive. I never want to miss a class and already am feeling and seeing the results. I highly recommend them to anyone who is interested in getting into shape. Lanre and Liv, thanks for starting an awesome gym, fostering a great community and helping me on my journey to becoming a much improved and healthier version of myself!

Fantastic experience: I came to Iron Alliance with little strength and no experience lifting anything heavier than a cute 5lbs dumbbell. I took the 6 week semi-private training program with the goal of losing weight and becoming stronger. - Iron Alliance offers a nice and welcoming atmosphere - they assess your fitness level and go from there; there is no judgement, and everyone is very encouraging - the coaches are professional and focus on good form to help clients avoid injuries and gain strength faster - classes are small with 6 people max, scheduling is very flexible - I was pushed to do more every class, and the coaches have enough experience to know my limits and pushed me just enough - as part of the semi-private training program, I received a meal plan and an accountability tracker to keep me on track on my journey - the suggested meal plan was easy to follow, I never felt hungry even though I was in a 700-1000 calorie deficit every day and actually struggled to finish my meals because they were THAT filling - I noticed an improvement in my mood and I started looking forward to my training x3 a week (that was really surprising, I’ve always hated exercising) - results: I lost 12lbs, became stronger, my pre-existing shoulder injury is gone (shout out to Angel for recommending some extra resistance band exercises to do at home to stabilize my shoulder) The pricing may seem high at first, but when you consider the small class size (6 people or less), the quality of coaching and the care they put into helping each client reach their goals, the program is priced fairly.

Fantastic experience: I started training with Lanre and Liv in November as I was struggling to get into a routine and see any progress on my own. In a short 9 weeks, I have so much more energy and have accomplished more than I ever thought possible! My husband now teases me that I can carry him around the house. A big thank you to the entire team at Iron Alliance for creating such a welcoming environment and to Liv and Lanre for providing personalized guidance!

Fantastic experience: I love Iron Alliance! I've been coming for over a year. When I first started I couldn't even squat with zero weight. Now I can squat 180lbs. Wow! Liv and Lanre are amazing coaches who care about their gym family. This is a wonderful place to get fit.

Fantastic experience: Great gym! I was on the look out for a semi-private gym experience after moving to Toronto and Iron Alliance checked all of the boxes. Great trainers, thoughtful exercise plans each day and flexible class hours are just some of the things that they can offer. Can't wait to keep working at my goals with Lanre, Olivia and the rest of the crew here!

Fantastic experience: I've been strength training on and off for 8 years and wanted to find a gym that offered me support as I got back into lifting. I decided to give Iron Alliance a try with their 6 week program. Before my first session, I met with coach Lanre to assess where I'm currently at and so that he could build a program tailored to my needs and individual goals - which was to lose weight while building strength. Classes have no more than 6 people so that the trainer can properly work with everyone and provided assistance with form or modifications if needed. You're pushed to give it your all, but never to the point of being dangerous or to injury. The community at IAAC is fantastic - everyone is so supportive, no matter where you are in your fitness journey. After the 6 week challenge was up, I had noticeably increased my strength and had lost 21 lbs and 4 inches off my waist. Lanre and Liv would make tweaks to my plan if needed and continued to provide support whenever needed. Whether you're looking to start strength training for the first time or are an old pro at it, IAAC is a great place to work out.

Fantastic experience: 6 Weeks In: Maybe you're reading this wondering if you should sign up for the Intro to Weightlifting program you saw on your Insta feed. Here's my unbiased review from the other end. I had been long-distance running for about 12 years but was looking to add some strength to my game as I had roughly ZERO. I was always shy about using weights at the gym since I had no experience and the bad taste of "always last picked" in back gym class. I met with Lanre, one of the head coaches at the gym and he explained how this gym was different then most of the other options in the area: A small shop focused on making lifting accessible to ALL, focused on education, prioritizing range-of-motion and technique, and fostering a supportive gym culture and community. So I took a chance and decided to give it my all for six weeks. Liv and Lanre worked with me to explain what was required. Our first session evaluated my current mobility and fitness level and then a daily stretching regimen was prescribed based on these tests. I thought it was great that they were able to meet me where I was physically, and gave me advice based on my goals. Throughout these six weeks I did 2 classes weekly. the classes were no bigger than 6 people which made it easy to ask questions and get help on my form. I learned how to do back squats, deadlifts, RDLs (Romanian Deadlifts), bench presses and other lifts. It was great to be in a class full of like-minded folks of all ages and abilities. There was zero toxic attitudes or behaviour and the other members were really supportive. The classes always push me to my limit, but never into danger. Safety and education is always prioritized. We usually warm up with stretches, then some lifting exercises, which always start with light warmups for form, and push progressive increase in weight. We also do some conditioning work. It's been a very different "gear" of fitness than I was used to with running. SO, at the end of six weeks I had to decide whether to keep going. The gym is a bit far from me, so I looked at other options in the area and did a few trial classes elsewhere. I found that nobody else was offering what Liv and Lanre had created at Iron Alliance: guidance to lift heavy weights to push you towards your goals, nutrition and recovery support, and a likeminded community of nice folks where everyone is supportive and nobody's attitude will ever ruin your workout. I hope this helps you decide if Iron Alliance is for you. If it is, I look forward to meeting you soon. Good luck, and be strong! (EDIT: I should also add I'm loving the results of the training. Even after 6 weeks I notice a huge difference in my physique, energy level, and even my mood)

Fantastic experience: I have been at Iron Fitness for 7 weeks. I am a 59 year old woman with no experience lifting weights and have tried everything to lose belly fat. All the trainers have been very supportive and challenge me at the same time. I can attend class at anytime and the quality of the instructor is always the best. I already have more energy and have lost weight and inches and feel much stronger.

Fantastic experience: Super supportive and encouraging environment from both the trainers and fellow members in class. The weight training give you a clear metric to see your progress and everyone in class is always getting stronger and being pushed to challenge themselves. Join if you want to improve your body composition, mobility and strength in a safe and fun environment.

Fantastic experience: I’m thrilled with my experience at IAAC. I needed a new physical activity and feel lucky to have found this place. The small groups make it possible for the trainer to keep eyes on me the whole time to help me adjust postures and make sure I don’t hurt myself as I try new things. The trainer plans individual modifications specific to the ability level of the bodies present. The encouragement from coaches and other members is a joy, and makes it easier to feel the competition is against my 59 yr old self, rather than comparing myself to others. The nutritional and recovery support is also essential to how great I’m feeling with this new activity. After four weeks of my 12 week program I’m looking forward to each class and can’t wait to see where I’ll be at the end of each week.

Negative experience: I had an appointment for 10:30am. When I arrived, no one was available to meet with me. Instead of being apologetic about this scheduling mistake, Olivia at Iron Alliance tried to blame it on ME because I didn't respond to her text at 8am that same morning to confirm. I am a busy mom. Weekday mornings are hectic getting everyone cleaned up, fed, and out of the door. When did Iron Alliance know that they didn't have anyone to meet with me? At 8am on the same day? That's very poor planning. Why didn't Iron Alliance call me if they couldn't get a hold of me by text? If it was a scheduling oversight, Iron Alliance should have acknowledged their mistake instead of trying to blame it on their customer. This was very poorly handled and a bad reflection of the business. As I read some of the reviews here, I'm glad this appointment didn't work out because it seems there are better gyms out there for the price you pay than this one.

Fantastic experience: I jumped on the 6 week plan and it has now turned into a weekly routine. Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Iron Alliance. Although it is a small gym, it is very effective. Lanre and Liv have created a unique environment that is welcoming, friendly and fun. It is because of this environment that keeps me motivated to come in for my 3 semi-private classes per week. I have been attending for 6 weeks and have definitely seen an improvement in my overall strength and well being. Lanre also developed a nutritional program for me and I am encouraged to report back on how well I am sticking to the program which keeps me accountable and helps me stick to the program.

I LOVE this welcoming warehouse space, nestled in the Junction. With the arrival of spring, we can lift and train in open air. Lanre and Liv, head coaches and owners, have created a beautiful, unique and supportive community.

Fantastic experience: Iron Alliance offers the best of both worlds. A small group setting with fellow athletes (lifters) who encourage each other to get in the best shape possible; and coaches who pay attention to detail through each exercise to make sure you are doing them safety while gaining strength. Negative experience: There are better gyms- not worth the money. I too experienced something very similar and I noticed the owner’s contentious and dishonest statements to the other reviewers, so I’d like to post a review of my semi-private training experience with the owner as well. 1. Prices increased by 47% for no reason. There was zero offer to grandfather me in under the old terms. I was paying $90/per person, per session, and the new price they gave me was $133.33/ per person, per session. I would also like to mention that their prices are not readily available, and speaking with other members, it seems like there’s different pricing being provided for the same services, so I want people to be aware. 2. The owner/PT also removed my access to MY workout plan once he found out I wasn’t renewing. I paid for this, and without any mention, it was just removed almost two weeks before my sessions ended. Luckily I made a copy prior, anticipating this seemingly petty behaviour. I have been to a few PTs before, and they have behaved with far more professionalism. 3. With my purchase of semi-private PT sessions, I was given a key FOB to access the gym anytime. Six days before my last session, my key FOB also stopped working. I tried it on two different occasions, but luckily another member opened the door. I even told the owner the days I planned on coming in on my own, which would have been a great time to tell your paying customer that they no longer have access… but again, this shows a clear lack of professionalism. There are more examples, but the bottom line is I do NOT recommend this gym.

Fantastic experience: Joining Iron Alliance was one of the best decisions Ive made. I have no experience with the gym.. at all! and Ive always heard people say that going to gym can help alleviate the stresses of life. It really does. Its become a place I can unload and reload! I hated it when i started ... I really did, but i always leave feeling great about my decision to stick it out!!! Olivia and Lanre are amazing, very supportive and always encouraging me to push beyond my comfort zone... they tailor the training to your needs and abilities. (i need that extra push n encouragement so the personal training is where its at for me right now) I was a mess when i started ... no experience at all! my form has improved immensely and my strength has greatly improved!!!! the iron alliance team - i call family now. is amazing! highly recommend this place for beginner and advanced training!!

Fantastic experience: At the age of 62 I decided I needed to take better care of myself. I started working out at Iron Alliance and it has been a positive choice for me. The short time I have been attending classes/workouts, I have more energy, lost weight, and have developed a stronger core. Lanre, Olivia, and the other coaches have gently supported and pushed me to the next steps toward my goals. I have enjoyed my time and the progress I have achieved at the gym. After my 6 week introduction I have signed up for a full year of training here.

Fantastic experience: Great Gym with a diverse and welcoming crowd. Very different vibe then most gyms this size in terms of how positive and welcoming the space is. Classes are tough but fun with great friendly coaches that even in group classes manage to tailor excercise to everyones individual needs. Incredibly well equipped for its size!

Fantastic experience: Top marks. Very knowledgeable coaches, great focus on detail, well-planned sessions, attention to mobility, substantial improvement. Challenging, but great fun in a cheerful and supportive environment. For context: I am a desk-bound accountant in my fifties. I am active, but I had not done the necessary strength-training. Iron Alliance has been very, very beneficial.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, and great coaches. Everyone is very friendly and willing to help. They also have a lot of extra events that happen at the gym.

Fantastic experience: Great place to go if you're new to working out or weightlifting. The coaches are super kind and supportive. The membership has a much steeper cost than your average gym but you'll definitely get your money's worth!

Negative experience: The staff who run the classes here are very nice, but the owner/my personal trainer is the reason for this review. I purchased 40 semi-private training sessions. After about 3 months, with 5 sessions remaining, the owner casually mentioned that for any future sessions there was a 50%+ price increase. This is without any upgrades, improvements, or changes to the gym or program. In fact, the personal training attention and quality was degrading over time so the price increase really seemed to make no sense at all. Once the owner realized that I wasn't continuing, he proceeded to remove online access from the workout plan I paid for, and broke our contract; as they made sure my keycard didn’t work so I couldn’t get into the gym during the remaining time. Not to mention the gym is small, space is limited, bathroom is horrendous. There are better gyms with better facilities in the area and these guys charge a very large premium for "expertise". Please do your research.

We are very sorry you feel this way. However we do want to set straight that you were on a 3 month contract, during which yes our personal training prices increased, we notified you as soon as the decision was made and offered you a longer term contract that would keep you at the same rate and grandfather your rate in just under a longer contract. As any growing business, our rates may change and we work our best to make sure you are notified as soon as that happens especially if you are on a specified length of contract. With regards to why our rates increased, it's simply because your trainer, one of the owners, time is becoming more valuable as there are hundreds of other things he needs to be doing as well so we had to scale our rates to reflect that. As for the FOB access, that is not true as you gave him back the FOBs on your last session, the last day of your contract. If there was ever limited access, that was not intentional nor was ever brought to our attention. Our gym is a small boutique fitness studio, we specialize in results and services, not fancy bathrooms or saunas, and value our services on what we provide towards your fitness, not what gold faucets we might not have. During a part of your time, yes our bathroom was not functional due to an external building wide plumbing issue that was resolved as quickly as we could. Again, we apologize you feel wronged or like we pushed you out. This was never our intention. Like any growing business, we had to increase our rates by 15% for private training that we communicated and offered an alternative that would suit both parties and keep you at your rate.

Negative experience: I did love the classes but it's the ownership's lack of accountability that ruined our relationship. Based on the package I got, I never received the things I was promised like I never got weighed (except once), check ins (supposed to be x2 per week) and didn't receive my nutrition plan on time but they gladly took my money up front. After promising several times to allow me to make up my credits to my face, I had to fight on numerous occasions for missing time due to vacation and a terminal family emergency. Verbal agreements with the owners were not upheld without constantly reminding them by email, text, or in person which was very uncomfortable. They also surprised me when I accidentally forgot to cancel a class (they changed apps mid way) they told me not only do I lose a credit (called at $35) but they'd charge me an additional $15 and this was never communicated when I joined. I enjoyed the classes but being treated like $2300 is nothing to spend in 6 months and it's my job to remind them of what I'm paying for is just unacceptable.

Iron Alliance Athletic Centre
Iron Alliance Athletic Centre

We are very sorry you feel this way and want to respond to your concerns. We have personally addressed these many times with you and were very flexible with many last minute cancellations due to family sickness and problems that went against our late cancelation policy as was written out in the contract signed in the beginning and sent out intermittently again as a reminder. Our no show policy is for no shows with no notification of which we have to enforce a $15 penalty so that classes are accessible to our other clients and it encourages members to simply send an email if they won't be coming so that we can better plan and offer access to waitlisted members. The email you got was a warning email, which is sent to everyone on their first no show to remind the member and keep it from happening again so we don't have to charge you, a warning that most other businesses would not do. We constantly extended your contract terms and made it possible for you to attend classes above and beyond anything our policies would normally allow. As for the nutritional program, as is written out in your personalized plan, weekly weigh ins are to be done at home by the client since we won't see everyone first thing in the morning every Friday when we recommended weighing yourself, so yes your first weigh in and stats are taken by us and your last one would be but as specifically explained, any others would be reported by you since you're not a private training client. Check ins - we offered open Google meet office hours twice weekly at that time of which anyone was able to jump on so we could answer questions and were always open. Again we apologize if you feel like you didn't understand or didn't get what you were supposed to, but as with all our clients, we try our very best to be as flexible as we can given the parameters we have in place so we can also honor fair access to our other members as well

Fantastic experience: The best place to start your fitness journey! The staff go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable and welcome. They put your safety first and always like to have a good time. The encouragement and community at this gym is like no other. This is the only place that made me feel like I actually want to work out and want to make that effort to go out to Iron Alliance to move my body. I would 100% recommend it to anyone. Shout out to all the best coaches!

Fantastic experience: Best gym I've been to in my fitness career and I've been to a few. Liv and Lanre are the only people to have given my herniated disk in my lower back relief. Great gym with community feel.

Fantastic experience: Very well equipped and well ran gym. If your goal is to be consistent and enjoy going to the gym, Iron Alliance is a great option. There is an active community which encourages members to post their triumphs and struggles together, and the facilities have everything you could ever want (including SSB and Duffalo bar). The owners are friendly and are invested in the growth of their gym members. I would recommend this gym to anybody!

Fantastic experience: Liv and Lanre are really knowledgeable coaches. The environment at the gym is so positive. All the members cheer each other on and it really helps boost your confidence. I have been a member since July 2022 and I plan on staying!

Fantastic experience: Iron Alliance is owned by Olivia (Liv) and Lanre, a dynamic couple who love what they do and are very good at it. They are very knowledgeable about the human body. Liv is a great educator, not only she explains the exercise clearly but she provides valuable information about the techniques and the body. She provides support to every person during the session so they get the maximum out of the class with the right technique and form. With the sheerful and welcoming nature, Liv and Lanre created a community of regular people who are becoming passionate about active life and being strong. Liv and Lanre take a personal interest in the success of their clients. I signed with the semi-private classes after leading an extremely sedentary life for more than a decade, that affected my mobility very badly. Both Liv and Lanre took the time to know my capabilities and limits, they plan the workout for the class ahead of time and create an alternative exercises for me without being leniant. Lanre provides his knowledge about nutrition and strategies. He's beeng supporting during and outside the class for nutrition and stretching techniques and nutrition strategies to combat harmful eating habits. It's been 6 months for me attending the classes, I have been supported from day 1. I got much stronger, I look and feel healthier and never felt alone in this journey. I can't recommend Iron Alliance enough.

Fantastic experience: I joined Iron Alliance in April 2022 after trying to find a powerlifting gym in Toronto for years. I was always too intimidated to even go in for a first visit at any other gym, but as soon as I talked to Liv (one of the head trainers) on the phone, I knew Iron Alliance was different. I don't think a more inclusive, welcoming, or encouraging gym exists anywhere in Toronto. Liv and Lanre truly care about every single member of their gym community, and have created a space where everyone belongs and feels at home. In 7 short months, I went from never using a barbell before to squatting 200 lbs. Their semi-private training program is perfect for people looking for the guidance of a personal trainer, with the frequency of going to the gym multiple times a week. The coaches at Iron Alliance are masters of their craft, and I encourage anyone looking to mix up their fitness routine to run, not walk, to this gym.

Fantastic experience: I came to this place with a lot of old injuries and a troubled soul, and both are being accommodated and healed by awesome coaches Liv & Lanre. Any time my old injuries act up, Liv changes my game plan to ensure we don't make it worse and give my body time to heal where needed. She takes into consideration the feedback from my osteopath and physiotherapist as well as my squeaking and adjusts on the go to make sure we don't lose momentum but stay safe. It's a tiny gym with big warm hearts. It may be hard to find, but when you do, you'll not want to leave.

Fantastic experience: I love the Gym, we are all a big family, everyone help each other. I started there with the hope of loosing weight and tone a bit of my body for my own health. My goal is to loose around 40 pounds. In about 3 months I’m already achieved half of my goal. They motivate us , they makes us confident to keep going, they always keep the classes on short group of people so that way they actually fallow with everyone’s result and needs, I’m so happy to have met them, I’ve tried other gym before , I’ve paid a lot for personal trainers and at the time I was having my classes they would give quick instructions and left doing stuff by myself , that’s I lost my motivation to stay at those gyms. I thank Olivia and Lanre for working hard with me and keep getting the results I’m looking for, thanks to everyone….

Fantastic experience: Very highly recommend. No matter your goals, experience level, or schedule, this gym has a place for you. I am a busy mom of two little ones who wanted to get into strength training. I was struggling to find a place with times that would work with my weekly family routine, help me stay motivated and consistent, while still offering the flexibility needed when life throws curve balls. Iron Alliance offers all of that, with awesome coaches plus a supportive gym community, all built and fostered by owners Liv and Lanre. Within a few weeks I was feeling stronger than I have in years. It's been more than 6 consistent months and training with Iron Alliance has become a key part of both my physical and mental health. Love it here, and I bet you will too!

Fantastic experience: I joined Iron Alliance five months ago. I had lapsed out of a regular workout routine and was feeling pretty blah about myself. Now, I think I am the healthiest and most fit I have been in my life. I have never considered myself to be naturally athletic: growing up I was clumsy at team sports and dreaded gym class. I never thought of myself as strong. After training for five months, I have surprised myself with strength I didn’t know I had! The head trainers, Liv and Lanre, are incredible people. They are encouraging but keep me honest with their high standards. They also provide really effective nutrition coaching to compliment my workouts and my goals. They have created a gym community that is truly inclusive and women-friendly. I have never felt out of place. I never thought I would hear myself say this, but powerlifting is my new passion, and the sport I was waiting my whole life to discover. It is no exaggeration to say that my life has transformed since I joined Iron Alliance. This experience so far has been about so much more than just working out: I have developed more healthy habits, I have a new community and I have developed greater confidence in myself. Can’t recommend this gym enough.

Fantastic experience: After many years at a big chain gym I was looking for a place where I could get back to serious training and found exactly that at Iron Alliance. Coach Liv and Coach Lanre are amazing and have created a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere. At Iron Alliance I can make noise while lifting without getting weird looks and can do any exercise I can think of with their incredible selection of equipment which seems to expand daily. Awesome gym to be a part of!

Fantastic experience: I am EXCITED and MOTIVATED to go to the gym thanks to Liv and Lanre! Such a beautiful COMMUNITY that I'm so happy to be part of. You'll have all the SUPPORT you need during your work out journey. I can see RESULTS ( my fiance and friends too ) and I feel great about it. I wake up at 5am!( I know crazy eh! ) but its all thanks to IRON ALLIANCE vibe! I know that I will be surrounded by FUN , energetic , positive and motivating coaches and gym partners ! The gym is so intimate too, not a big crazy ones where you can get lost even in the washrooms! Thats why it makes it special too. I just love it there. Just go check it out you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: Iron alliance is an incredible weightlifting gym. I've made more progress with coach Olivia than ever before! The trainers are knowledgable and the community warm and welcoming. I highly recommend that anyone interested in Olympic weightlifting check out this gym.

Fantastic experience: I started going to the Iron Alliance a few months ago and I'm so glad I did. It's a small friendly gym that welcomes people of all experience levels. I went in for for a consultation to meet the coaches and find out about the different options they offer. I was a total beginner and decided to sign up for the group classes. The groups are small (no more than 6 people) and the coaches are great at explaining everything. Head coaches Liv and Lanre check in with you every week to make sure everything is going well, and they really support your health and fitness journey. I never thought I would be a gym regular, but this community has been so encouraging and I'm amazed at my progress, I always look forward to the next session.

Fantastic experience: I've been going to Iron Alliance for about 4 months, and this is the most positve experince I've ever had with excercise. I'm in my 40's and I have gone up and down in weight many times in my life. Losing weight at this stage of my life was harder than ever. I was 221 in December and lost about 18 lbs just dieting and limiting my calories. I had pleateaued, and I wanted to get back into fitness but was very picky about where I was going to go and spend my well earned money. I stumbled on an Instagram add from Iron Alliance that spoke to me. I had my Consultation with Coach Liv and started on Aug 2nd 2023. I was 203lbs then and I am now currently 185lbs and still dropping weight weekly. If you're willing to put in the work and follow their dietery instructions. You will begin to not only lose weight but gain strength and pride in yourself wiht your fitness goals they're helping you with. Coach Liv and Larne are great at giving you individual attention in our group glasses and really carefully instructing myself and others who have different strengths and weaknesses to attain their goals. I highly recommend them! I can see my feet again!

Fantastic experience: I’ve been looking to be part of a fitness community for years now, and I finally found it. I’ve been attending Iron Alliance in the semi-private program for over 4 months now and I love it. Liv, Lanre and their coaching team are passionate about helping us reach our goals. The community of people are amazing, uplifting, and non-intimidating. It’s a welcoming, dare I say cozy, environment to really focus on your fitness goals, no matter where you’re at when you first step through the doors. And I feel amazing.

Fantastic experience: I receive personal training at IAAC and have made significant gains not just on my particular bodybuilding goals but my over health and fitness as well. I’ve learned a lot and will continue to do so. It’s obvious from the moment you arrive that Olivia and Lanre take pride in their services and facility. They have everything you need and provide a positive and efficient environment for you to do your thing. Definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: Iron Alliance is not only an excellent facility with top quality equipment, they also have incredible trainers. Liv & Lanre are passionate and ensure you have a top quality workout pushing you to your full potential while also keeping focused on your form. Each class has a max of six people and everyone who goes to this gym is friendly and is there to support you on your fitness journey. No matter how much I lift I feel supported as I continue to get stronger !

Fantastic experience: Liv & Lanre (the owners) are the BEST, this place is amazing. I've been training here for the last 6 months and have felt more uplifted, supported, empowered, and magnificently STRONG than ever before. A few great things: everyone I've met at this gym is friendly and supportive, from a variety of fitness backgrounds (as in, some have lifted tons before, others are on their very first workout 'journey'); the atmosphere is intimate, fun, social, and respectful; there are SO MANY FUN WORKOUT TOYS TO TRY (note: these are actual heavy things, not toys). I cannot say enough about this fantastic place! For reference, I'm someone who has always been into working out and doing fun exercise things, but not a total gym rat. Now, I can deadlift 200 EFFING POUNDS!!!!!! You will grow, you will sweat, and you may cry a tiny bit... But in a good way. You should come. There's one of those Ultimate Beastmaster climbing peg boards, and it's right beside some breweries.

Fantastic experience: I trained with Lanre for about 6 months and it changed my life. I had never recovered after a ACL tear and post surgery and had restricted knee movement. He helped me tremendously in terms of physio, active routine that has me today in a place where I have more flexibility with the knee movements and also more equipped in terms of regular exercises. I recommend him 100% and looking forward to training with him again.

Fantastic experience: Liv and Lanre have built an amazing community at the gym, on top of being fantastic coaches! I've struggled with the same injuries for years anytime I tried to lift, and they quickly identified where I was going wrong and helped me correct my form/wekenesses while also getting way stronger and fitter. I've never felt this good working out! This gym is the real deal and I would recommend it to anyone 11/10 times; the diversity of clients, the top tier coaching, the friendly and supportive atmosphere is the best I've ever experience. Go here, go often, you won't regret it.

Fantastic experience: This is by far one of the BEST gyms I have ever been to! This gym focuses on building a community and creating an environment for people to learn about fitness. They focus on teaching you proper form while also pushing your limits. Everyone is so welcoming and create an inclusive environment that makes working out fun. Highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a gym family!

Fantastic experience: Honestly best life choice ever joining Iron Alliance. Coaches Liv and Lanre have given me a total gift. It's a family here. They build up not only your strength and endurance but your confidence through every session. The programs are designed for each individual so perfectly the results show. Their knowledge and guidance through every lift makes you want to try harder and fight for excellence. We all have it in us to be stronger, and live a healthier lifestyle. Five Stars. 20 if it was an option.

Fantastic experience: It has been a pleasure to train with Olivia and Lanre. I broke my ankle early this year and Lanre was the perfect fit to do physiotherapy and help me work on my body to get back in shape. The knowledge they have gave me the confidence to understand my body and myself more. I learned how to push myself and I feel great about it. Thank you guys!!!

Fantastic experience: I have been working with Iron Alliance for a little over 3 months. I am so happy with my progress. I credit Lanre. As a senior, I have been in the best condition I can remember for the past several decades. Plus I had previous shoulder and knee problems. My diet, weight, strength and recovery from previous injuries have made dramatic improvements. Plus, it is kinda nice when people comment on how I look. My first goal of my training was to do a fairly intense canoe/portage adventure. I did this excursion with strength and endurance. Thank you Lanre.
