From day one, Dani has been incredibly supportive, motivating, and knowledgeable. What I appreciate most is how she tailors each workout to fit my personal goals and abilities. Whether it's strength training, cardio, circuit training or mobility, every session is designed to challenge me while ensuring I am performing exercises with proper form and avoiding injury. Fantastic experience: Took a bunch of classes with Dani and saw a lot of improvements on my core strength and balance! Learned things that help me do workouts on my own!! Hopefully they will continue to do group classes again soon, but for now the personal training will do :)

Fantastic experience: Uplift fitness was a lucky find for me. I was looking up gyms that actually focus on personal training, and have flexible schedules. I went in and spoke to Jason, I was convinced just by talking to him. Mervin took me in as a trainer. From the first day onwards, I have had nothing but the best experience here. So professional and so encouraging. I have managed to shed a lot of pounds and gain muscles with Mervin’s help. On my way towards my fitness goals! And I like the fact that it is small, very focussed gym, not trying to win customers by blingy machines or offers. It is a real, fitness focussed setup, with a bunch of dedicated trainers. Highly recommended if you are serious about your fitness. I have already been recommending Uplift Fitness to my friends.
Fantastic experience: Charlotte is an amazing coach—she’s patient and super professional. My back has always been the hardest for me to feel activation, but after just 7 sessions, I finally got the hang of it. Now, every back day, I can really feel the tension in my back muscles!
Fantastic experience: After 12 weeks of training with Charlotte, I’ve lost 6 pounds of fat and gained 2 pounds of muscle. My stomach is flatter, my glutes are perkier, and I can clearly feel the difference—I no longer feel tired doing housework, and I don’t get out of breath climbing hills.

Fantastic experience: This one is Abigail Shaw - the best trainer I have worked with in the last 20 years. I have been doing solo and tandem PTs as well as group classes with her. for the last 5 years. She is a force to be reckoned with! She sees the potential in each of her clients. She is great at motivating you and pushing you to your limit, but she also knows when you've reached your limit. She has immense knowledge on the various factors involved in fitness i.e. stretching, cardio, strength and resistance training, nutrition, sleep. She understands the mechanics of human movement and the various muscle groups involved in each exercise. She is meticulous about proper form. She knows when it's time to seek out massage or physio. I have grown in my fitness level like I never imagined. Now I'm working out 6 days a week and don't blink an eye about the time commitment involved. Finally, she also recognizes when it may be time to change things up in your program or even try a different trainer for a while. She puts the needs of her client first. I will keep going to her for as long as I can. She already is helping me through my perimenopausal years. I wonder if she realizes that she will eventually be training me in my 80s and 90s? LOL!

She has an uncanny ability to see potential in you that you don't even see in yourself, and she won't let you settle for anything less than your absolute best. Every session is intense, focused, and pushes me beyond what I think I can do. Abigail doesn't just motivate-she ignites a fire in you to keep going, even when your mind is ready to give up. She has a no-excuses approach that's tough but fair, and you'll quickly find yourself doing things you never thought possible. It's not just about physical strength either-she pushes you mentally, helping you build resilience and confidence that carry over into every area of your life. Fantastic experience: 5 starts don’t cut it, Abigail deserves a 100/100! If you are looking to see results and go to the next level in your fitness journey and active lifestyle, I highly recommend that you try out Abigail Shaw. She is one of a kind, very rare, she will motivate, push you out of your comfort zone and she cares about your progress. I menopause at age of 43 and to lose the menopause weight gain and to start my weight lifting journey, I have been training with Abigail and I have lost 12 lbs into my 12 week program. It is challenging and the important thing is being consistent. Give it a try I promise you won’t regret it! It will be the best investment that you have ever done and you can see the progress. Fantastic experience: I have been training with Abigail Shaw at Uplift Fitness for over a year now. She is one of the best personal trainers I have ever had. She is accountable, smart and knows her shit. She provides me the motivation I need to stay healthy. She always comes prepared with a different training program. As much as I am scared of my sessions with her lol...she is worth every dime. Uplift is a great facility to workout in... its small but has all the strength training equipment you need.

Positive experience: Danny is easy and fun to work out with. He understands mobility extremely well and is able to include minor re-hab via his work outs. He is upbeat and cares about his clients results.
Negative experience: Booked an initial session with Dani 2 weeks in advance. Dani asked me to change my appt last minute to accommodate their other client and so I changed my whole schedule around to help them out. Then the day of my appt they texted me again to change my appt to accommodate their other client AGAIN. Cancelled and won’t be going.

What I’ve appreciated most about my experience is the professionalism and positive attitude of the trainers. My trainer, Mervin, has been exceptional to work with—I've completed over 36 sessions with him in the past few months, and his expertise and encouragement have made a huge difference in helping me reach my fitness goals. I would absolutely recommend UPLIFT to anyone looking to achieve any type of fitness goal, whether you're a beginner or more advanced. The team is incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. The manager has also been fantastic, taking the time to sit down with me to walk through my goals and providing a tailored plan to keep me on track. Fantastic experience: If you’re looking to make a drastic change to your life and health for the better, then Uplift is 100% the right place. My wife and I were complete beginners to the gym. Over the course of a few months with Jayson we have not only improved our physical health but we have become so confident that we are now able to go to public gyms consistently. Jayson’s approach to training gave us a full understanding of what we needed to do at a gym. When we are at the gym ourselves, it definitely shows we have received professional training. He was also so accommodating even though we had several interruptions to our sessions due to our own personal reasons. Even now that we are no longer his clients, he still checks in occasionally. It really shows he truly cares about us and our journey and it is more than just a job for him but also a passion to help others. Could not recommend Jayson and everyone at Uplift enough!! Fantastic experience: After many years of inactivity due to rugby and hockey injuries, I started working 1-on-1 with Tyler at the Fraser St. location in July 2023. In the Fall I added semi-private sessions with Merv for both my daughter and I. Both trainers bring a good combination of university education in Kinesiology and personal experience to the table. This has been particularly beneficial for me as an older client returning to physical activity. They have been able to design training routines for both my daughter and me which align with each of our personal fitness goals, and are able to explain the purpose of each exercise and the muscles targeted while ensuring proper form and technique. Full credit for the work that Tyler and Merv have done with us and to the owner Jayson for creating an environment which promotes success. I highly recommend Uplift Fitness for supporting personal fitness goals.

Fantastic experience: I’ve been working with Tyler at Uplift for over 6 months now and it’s been a great experience. In the past it’s been difficult getting into the routine of going to the gym but Tyler and Uplift have really helped make consistent training a very manageable experience. I went in without any specific goals but with Tyler’s guidance we found a training plan that worked for me and has shown real results in terms of strength and stability. I would definitely recommend working with Tyler if you are looking for personal and tailored guidance with your fitness goals.
Fantastic experience: I found out about Uplift online, and Tyler as my personal trainer has helped me tremendously in reaching my goals. I’ve learned a lot about proper form and diet with him and have always had fun with every workout, inside and out of Uplift. Fantastic experience: After my physiotherapist recommended that I start to get in shape, I did research online for personal trainer in my neighbourhood and came across Uplift Fitness and decided to give it a try with Tyler. Tyler turn out to be fun to workout with, really motivating and took the time to connect with my physiotherapist to include the proper exercises for my neck and back pain. Fantastic experience: I have been driving buy upfit for about a year saying to myself that I have to going and talk to some in there. So one day in June, I threw out my back for problem for 9th time in the past 5 years. So I decided stopped at the gym and made a 2 month commitment. Jayson set me up with Marvin. I have been training with him for the last 8 months. Marvin knows his way around the gym and what kind of training I needed. He's had lots of Patience with my training because I have never had a gym membership before and did not know how to use the equipment or the proper posture. He has shown me the way to use the equipment for the best results for my back and core strength. It's great place to workout at. You don't have to be worried about people looking at you and judging you. I would recommend upfit to any one that wants a safe environment one on one training and place that has great trainers to work with then give upfit call.
Fantastic experience: I'm someone who needs constant motivation to do any sort of workout. I thought I'd give personal training a try and I am so glad I did! Rebecca kept our sessions fun but also challenging, both of which were huge motivators for me. She tailored the workout to my needs, tweaking it as necessary based on how I felt that day. Fantastic experience: I walk by Uplift Fitness on my way home and I thought that I should check it out as I really needed to do some strength training. I'm sure glad that I made that call. After meeting with Jay, I felt assured and at ease that I made the right decision. I was assigned to Rebecca as my trainer. Before I started strength training with Rebecca - I was very weak, lots of muscle imbalances, and I had really bad posture. Rebecca is very knowledgeable, caring, and motivating. She's a great trainer. With her focused training I have seen many gains. My posture is much better; I can lift much more weight using the correct form. I have had noticeable muscle gains. Fantastic experience: I worked with Mervin to help me lose weight and gain strength. I had no idea where to start but after working with Mervin I felt much more knowledgeable. I always looked forward to our sessions since he would always have a solution for my problems and the session felt personally tailored to my needs. Fantastic experience: came across Uplift while searching for gyms in the neighbourhood. have been training with Mervin Du for 4 months now and could not choose someone better to adapt to my needs and push me to reach my fitness goals. Merv puts a lot of focus in building a good foundation with proper form. Merv's the best and never judges no matter where you are in your fitness journey. 10/10 recommend.
Fantastic experience: I heard about this gym online. After I tried for a free short 1:1 class, I decided to start to work out with them. I really like having my personal training sessions in this place, I think it is perpect for people do not know too much about working out, like myself. Most of the staff are super patient and nice! They guide me through different kinds of exercises, including how to breath and how to feel the muscle pulling. They make detailed plan specific for each person as well. Honestly, it is a little bit expensive, but I think it worth for the cost for 1:1 training as long as people working out regularly...
Fantastic experience: Uplift has the greatest personal trainers. I have tried many other places, but no one puts in as much effort as the trainers here. I trained with Jelaina and she made a very detailed program for me that met all me needs ! She took into account my busy schedule and experience level. She also made detailed videos for me to do workouts at home. I’m so thankful to have been able to train with her at Uplift, looking forward to getting started again. Update; After a year of training on my own I decided I wanted to take my training to the next level and wanted to focus on my upper body and also train for a HYROX race. I had been to Dani’s uplift class before and loved it. I decided to do 12 sessions with her and It made such a difference in my body. She made me a workout plan for outside of PT sessions with her and it was super effective. She was extremely flexible with my busy schedule . Fantastic experience: I’ve always been up and down with my weight and never found the ability to stay consistent. The first time I walked into a gym, I circled around staring at equipment and left because I didn’t know what to do. That’s when I decided to find a personal trainer! Jelaina helped me reached more than the original goals I came in with. I can now go to the gym on my own, I feel so much more confident and she helped tone my body! I am so happy our paths crossed. I highly recommend Uplift if you have gym anxiety or don’t feel confident working out. It’s a great place to start!
Fantastic experience: I was looking for a gym where I can be trained by a professional trainer near my place, and Uplift was the perfect spot for me. I’ve been training Indy & Tyler for a month now and they are amazing! They are kind and supportive (also pushing to raise the weight) They always pay attention to what I’m doing it and know how to deal with it when I have pain with some workout. I always have pain in my knee when I do leg exercises, and the hyperextended knee was noticeable on my right but now It feels so much better. I can see the difference in my knee after leg day! They won't let you down. I super recommend it :)!

Notably, during my cuts, I went from 180lbs to 150lbs and 175lbs to 144lbs in 2.5 and 1.5 months respectively. From programming to training cues, he covers all of the bases and leaves nothing to be desired. Couldn’t ask for a better trainer. She’s really responsive and makes you feel supported throughout your journey whether it be personal or business. Definitely night and day difference from my prior personal training experiences. Fantastic experience: I have known Tyler for as long as I can remember, and he was one of the reasons why I got so invested into fitness and weight training. Last year I started training with him and I loved it. He has helped me correct my form in various lifts such as bench, squat, deadlift, rows, etc. and pushes me to stay consistent working out 3 times a week. He takes an evidence-based approach to training where creates organized lifting blocks using information from the internet and what he has learned from school and seniors at uplift to create the most efficient workout routine for the both of us. With this, I have gained 15-20 pounds and increased my strength tremendously from last year. I would recommend people to train with Tyler at Uplift Fitness because I believe that anyone who trains with Tyler can gain a lot of knowledge about fitness, see rapid improvements in strength and weight, and have a good time while doing so. He will get along with almost anyone as he as a lot of different hobbies and an outgoing personality.

I want to say training at uplift was the best decision I made, Jay is very friendly and knowledgeable and understands your fitness goals. Fantastic experience: Heard about Uplift through my buddy JB as he is a trainer there. I started training with JB since i wanted to put on some weight and overall build more mass on my physique. With JB’s tremendous knowledge in fitness and nutrition he has helped me put on muscle, i started at 125lbs and after a year and a half of training with him im now at 160lbs. Fantastic experience: Dedicated trainers, easy to book sessions, reasonable prices. I was looking for a gym near my place with Personal trainers, and Uplift was a great fit. The trainers are very flexible and schedules are managed through a mobile app so it’s easy to check. Merv, my trainer, matches my styles and working schedule. He’s hard working, and easy to work with. He can accommodate my odd hours at nights and weekends. Sometimes, he pairs me with another client with the same vibe. I’m happy with the training package and willing to recommend my friends.

Signing up, I was given the key to both fix my eating habits as well as what I should actually be doing in the gym. Fantastic experience: I had a upcoming fight and wanted to switch up my training with a personal trainer and found Uplift Fitness on google, i narrowed it down on which trainer that would match my needs and ended up meeting with JB. For a young trainer his knowledge in fitness and nutrition very impressive, he taught me alot on what i was lacking and needed for my fight and ive been doing for a while. Fantastic experience: I knew uplift from google map, then I went to the gym and met Jason . After talking to him, I felt this gum should be a good choice to start my personal training. The result turned out to be true. According to my experience there , I would recommend him because he is very professional , his training got me fast result which was beyond my expectations. Fantastic experience: Have always wanted to gain muscle to improve my general health and help with my archery. Started training with Jayson after some lower back trouble made me nervous to do any sort of weightlifting by myself. After a few months, i have way more confidence in my form, less anxiety about accidental injury, and a better understanding of weightlifting in general. Not to mention the improved strength i see day to day. I really appreciate the focus on correcting muscle imbalances, as my sport is naturally imbalanced.
