Edmonds Community Centre

Fantastic experience: State of the art exterior and interior. Gym looks dope. Pool has no diving board but that doesn't matter because the slides make up for it. Gymnasiums huge and cool. Overall 5/5 would go again

Fantastic experience: 1 Block from my house. This beautiful facility is a tribute to the Edmonds neighbourhood. Raj Chouhan, MLA and the Burnaby City COuncil deserve a lot of credit for opening this great facility. My family and I use the pool all the time. 1 caveat - MAke sure you pay the 25Cents for a locker. I have seen several personal belongings thrown on the floor. Many people take the risk of not locking up their things.

Fantastic experience: A very very well equipped community centre. All inclusive with an indoor pool, basketball courts, lounging area with affordable snacks, adequate parking with an EV charging area and a gym which closes at 10.30 pm

Fantastic experience: Great pool! Best in Burnaby for sure! I know its the newest so hopefully the other pools can be renovated to the same level as Edmonds. My only piece of feedback is that the family changeroom is a bit small for the amount of patrons. I enjoy the family changeroom at ED Pool better. More spacious, and benches in the common area make it easier for changing.

Fantastic experience: Have been going here since my son was a baby, he's now 8 We absolutely love this place. I don't agree at all with the 1star staff reviews, for years ive only experienced amazing staff We go multiple times a week, during the day without kids and during the day/busy hours with the kids. Just wish the big yellow bucket would be fixed soon!

Fantastic experience: Best pool in Burnaby ( at least for kids) . Facilities are clean and new..staff is friendly and answered all my questions patiently. Having a covered underground parking lot is a definate plus! I dunno why people complain about admission cost.the cost is the same across the board for all Burnaby rec centers....$5 is a really good price for the quality of the facility and the pool Pool is a bit on the warm side, so it's great for kids and people who just wanna relax...

Fantastic experience: I was in the pool today{1;15-2:15] when a young person got in trouble. Two guards were in the pool in second and a third got a life belt in water. Good job. The interesting thing was watching the other guards move around the pool to make sure everyone else was still protected. Good to see how well they all worked together. Al Pettigrew

Fantastic experience: Nice fitness facility, good equipment and constantly being updated/well maintained. Friendly and helpful staff. It can get busy during peak hours but you still can manage a good workout during this time.

Fantastic experience: The amazing, my family and friends enjoy it very much. Every Saturday i go to an amazing kids program and the staff there are amazing. If i were and you comming to Canada in B.C. i would of course go there☺.

Fantastic experience: Area community centre, buzzing with activities. Facilities include Gym, seniors cafe club, tour every Wednesday, several classes all levels, and a big swimming pool with 2 kids swimming warmer water than the big pool, slides, etc... check them online or drop by to pick up a seasonal brochure. All ages.

Fantastic experience: It is a nice building and I love playing basketball here. It is free for adults on sunday afternoons which is AMAZING. It has quite a good drop-in scene. I have only played a few times but it is quite fun. Most people play to have fun there so it is a low stress environment. The facility itself is quite new and there's a nice pool there too where it always looks packed. The staff are nice and helpful as well. There is a young male staff member there with curly hair that I feel like he actually cares for the kids that comes. I see that the kids look up to him and listen to him, so it is encouraging to see people like him building community.

Fantastic experience: It has a great pool that you can enjoy with young kids. I went to Edmonds Community Centre Pool with my niece and nephew who are 3 yrs, both adults and children had so much fun. The life guards are really helpful and caring, always on site. The pool has a huge yellow bucket that pours water every 10 min. or so which creates excitement. It also has decent water slide which is entertaining for adults as well. Overall, we loved playing in the pool and will be going back.

Fantastic experience: I only use the weight room so I can only speak about the front desk and weight room experience. Weight room is well maintained even when it's quiet busy. It's a gym so it's going to get busy at times so you just have to know how to manoeuvre around. Front desk and weight room staff are always nice and helpful!

Fantastic experience: I like all facilities of this community centre, gym and pool. The pool is very kid friendly and it is nice place to families. The pool is always busy and the staffs are nice. Very bright inside and nicely attractive pool. In addition to this the pool has adequate parking facilities.

Fantastic experience: I like this whole facility alot...can be busy at times but the gym and pool are excellent. pool offers a smaller version of a lazy river. something here for everybody.

Fantastic experience: Love this place! The pool is very kid friendly, the staff are nice and overall, it is a very good space for families. Having the youth space upstairs gives youth some privacy, and the seniors space is very well thought-out.

Fantastic experience: Great place with very adequate parking facilities. However, the underground parking exit to Fulton needs a large convex mirror fitted at the pedestrian crossing for the safety of pedestrians because the cars are usually exiting too fast to stop in time if a pedestrian enters the completely blind corner crossing.

Fantastic experience: Excellent community centre. Has a fantastic pool for kids, with a large shallow pool area which is warm and has plenty of variety for the little ones. Has a great universal change room with plenty of private shower stalls. Also has two great (by pool standards) waterslides. Lots of parking outside or underground. Also has a really good playground right outside.

Fantastic experience: Great community center with fitness facilities, an awesome pool with a lazy river, waterslides, and a children's play area. There are also multi purpose areas that can be used for indoor soccer, volleyball, and general play area for toddlers. Parking is decent above and below ground.

Fantastic experience: Pool is great, there are always lanes available for laps. Gym is great, lots of machines and everyone is polite. I feel like all attendees really appreciate the space and will self-police when someone is rude (eg: spitting, hogging space, sweaty machines etc). It would be nice to see Yoga in the fitness room, rather than just Zumba. The slides are fun too.

Fantastic experience: One of the newest community centres in Burnaby. The building is nice. The pool is great - doesn’t have that bad chlorinated smell that over powers you, along with a great kids part with a lazy river and water slides! They have a small indoor playground and a fantastic outdoor playground with a water spray area. Lots of grassy areas. The only thing against it is parking. On a Sunday morning at 9am the underground parking is basically full. There is outdoor parking but on a busy day you are forced to find street parking. But don’t let that affect your enjoyment of this place.

Fantastic experience: Impressive community centre. In the lobby there's a cafe with prices on par with other coffee shops. A playground for kids under 5. Water fountains. Pool looked fantastic, but really packed. Upstairs, there's a great view of the pool. Cute dance studio. Most importantly - free wifi!!!

Fantastic experience: Edmonds is one of the best pools in the lower mainland. It's got everything from watetslides to a lazy river. Plus a great hot tub. The kids area is a lot of fun for my daughter. Overall amazing.

Fantastic experience: I played badminton here and had a great time.They have discount for under age 18, around $3 for two hours.The courts is quite new and clean.But I think it will be better if they arrange more courts

Fantastic experience: I go to this gym time to time but the staff always seemed to be very unfriendly and snobby! However, few days ago when I was there this personal trainer said hello and was quite friendly. I think his name was Jason or Justin. Anyhow, when I asked him about an exercise that I wasn't sure about he actually took the time to explain and showed me. Definitely admired his professionalism! ; )

Fantastic experience: I am using the gym for a while now and the equipment is great. I'd love to have a bigger locker room but the reasonable pricing and the friendly staff compensate that by far.

Fantastic experience: Thanks for the amazing pool, I really enjoy with my daughters, Today one accident happened that one boy was swimming then start sinking and within seconds the life guard jump to the pool and save the kid, Thanks to our hero.

Fantastic experience: Edmonds Community Center is fairly new and has a nice modern touch. The pool contains two water slides as well as a massive water bucket that flips over during overcapacity which is fun along with a lazy river installment. There is a nice gymnasium that offers many sports at various times as well as a work out center. This community center also has stunning overall architecture as well as a huge beautiful park surrounding the place. This community center was a great investment no doubt about it.

Fantastic experience: Best community center I have ever been to. Gymnasium and weight rooms are top notch. Childminding services are nice and super clean. The pool, lazy river, children area and slides are unique.

Fantastic experience: I go to the gym here often. it's quite nice with a wide range of equipment. the pool is quite nice too even though i'm not a fan of public swimming pools. I really enjoy that i can swim laps and get a good workout in without too many disturbances. The building itself is very modern as it's the newest one in burnaby as of the day this review was posted. The staff are friendly and always very helpful. If possible, try to avoid the fitness centre Monday to Thursday around 6-8pm as it can get crowded sometimes.

Fantastic experience: I come everyday and enjoy. I swim in the pool and I am a wonderful swimmer. ECC is good for all ages.

Fantastic experience: Of all community center in Burnaby. This is probably the best and the most modern. The gym is huge. The pool has very nice view, hot tub, sauna, and steam room. Avoid 4-6 PM when all the kids are taking their swimming classes.
