Fantastic experience: Great little gym and gives you access to all the gyms across the nation. Great for road trips. Good price point.

Positive experience: Decent enough gym, has had issues with cleanliness in the past but it seems like they are in the middle of addressing those. I've been to much better AF locations and also a few that are worse. They've been pretty responsive in dealing with equipment breakdowns and getting them fixed in a timely manner which is a plus. Lots of cardio machines, free weights are a little lacking (in particular the barbells which are quite old and have no knurling left). You can find a better gym for a cheaper price, however a big part of the membership fee is the ability to use any AF gym in the world so if you think you would make use of that aspect, the price is fine.

Fantastic experience: Great gym and staff. Never too busy and they have everything a person needs to train.

Negative experience: I left a old review about there lockers which they fixed them so I deleted that review. I'm leaving a new review about the attitudes of some of there regulars there. I've been going to this gym for roughly a year and I find the ppl that go to this gym to be very rude and judge mental...... ive recieved dirty looks and some one trying to steal the bench I was using while I was using it then gave me attitude about using the bench. Seriously ppl go to the gym for there mental health and physical health not to be judged or treated badly. I'll keep my member ship since I work out of town and they're is anytime fitnesses every where but will not use this location again. There's alot of gyms in town with a positive standard that they keep.

Negative experience: I am not sure this post will help the regular members of this Anytime Fitness but I hope so. Similar to previous posts, I found this gym to be very dirty/unhygienic , very unorganized and limited workout options. Reading other posts noted the same concerns yet nothing seems to be done to rectify the concerns. While I was there, the staff person sat in the office on their phone when there were areas to clean and organized. Could have made better use of their time? I will never attend this gym again nor would I recommend this gym unless the area of concerns are properly addressed. Another note of concern, the front main door was propped wide open, allowing anyone from the street to walk right in and steal property or enjoy a free workout! This is a poorly managed gym.

Negative experience: I had nothing but issues there. Run down equipment. Dirty bathrooms. Unpleasant owner. Staff would gossip about members to other members. It’s a shame because some genuinely good people workout here. I met some awesome people but the negative environment neutralized that.

Negative experience: I have been to many different anytime fitness gym across the country and St Albert anytime fitness is by far the dirtiest gym I've been to. Equipment is filthy, and the place us in need of deep clean. In my opinion ttherr should be no maintenance fee because there is no maintenence being completed at this facility. Equipment breaks often and takes months to repair. The bathrooms seem to never get cleaned. There is no after hour emergency number. There has been light fixtures that have been burnt out for months and yet to be fixed. The over upkeep of the gym is very poor. I feel this gym is need of some new management and or new owner. This is unacceptable.

Negative experience: I have been attending anytime fitness facilities transnationally for half a decade. St. Albert Anytime Fitness may be the most unclean facility I have ever attended. On several occasions, I have left suggestions to get a cleaner. I have sent an email to the Anytime corporate office, and nothing has changed. There is black grime in the washrooms, which is disgusting. The famous purple turf and the gym floor are littered with rocks and debris. From an equipment standpoint. There is all the equipment that one would need for a good workout. Very unhappy with the cleanliness of the facility.

Negative experience: Told them to delete my account due to them telling me that I was on a free account. Month or so later and I get charged $63 for a membership that THEY told me I didn’t have and needed to sign up for again. And I told them to delete my account due to not needing AF anymore. St.Albert location does not have good customer service and now I can’t pay my insurance cause of them

Negative experience: I have been attending this gym for over 2 years and the state of it currently it disgusting. It's so disappointing because I don't want to leave but I cannot handle the lack of cleanliness anymore. Do better.

Negative experience: What an unpleasant experience. I really wanted to like this gym, because it's so close to my house. I would've been willing to sign the year-long contract at 3x the price of my Planet Fitness membership. I used two days of my seven-day free trial. The equipment was decent, but the rest of the place is in need of a deep cleaning and some basic maintenance. The studio looks like it used to be a nice space, but it's now crowded with extra equipment. I just can't get past the music. It's ALL rap/hip-hop. On the second day, I brought my headphones, but, they didn't help, I could still hear it. They should play a variety of music that appeals to more people at a lower volume, or none at all. The "suggestion box" looks like it's never been opened, so that tells you how concerned management is about customer satisfaction. When I returned my fob, the guy didn't even ask me how I liked the gym or if I wanted to sign up! I hadn't even complained. I want to say, though, Sydney, the staff member who showed me around, was quite pleasant.

Negative experience: My experience with Anytime Fitness was nothing short of a disaster. From the moment I stepped through their doors, I was met with rude and unhelpful staff who seemed more interested in chatting amongst themselves than assisting paying customers. Their equipment selection was abysmal, with barely enough machines to constitute a functional gym. What’s worse is that the few pieces of equipment they did have were often out of order or in desperate need of maintenance. It’s clear that they prioritize cutting costs over providing a satisfactory experience for their members. Additionally, their contract was nothing short of sketchy. Buried within the fine print were numerous hidden fees and clauses designed to trap unsuspecting customers into long-term commitments without any means of escape. Trying to cancel my membership was an ordeal in itself, with the staff giving me the runaround and making it nearly impossible to terminate my contract. Save yourself the headache and avoid Anytime Fitness at all costs! There are plenty of other gyms out there that actually value their customers and provide a quality experience. Anytime Fitness is a prime example of how not to run a fitness center.

Positive experience: First time going to an anytime fitness outside of my local one. Gym was clean, lots of machines and alternative equipment. Layout seems a bit cramped but the floor space is pretty small so I think they’ve done the best they can. Being new to the gym the only thing I didn’t catch onto right away was the sanitary spray bottles and microfibres as there wasn’t any obvious signage. At my local Anytime we have wipes to clean the machines after use, so I only noticed this by watching other people who were working out.

Negative experience: So bad, they do not let you cancel your membership. I moved away and couldn’t use it anymore, I called a few times and tried to cancel my membership and they would not cancel and just continued to charge me, I never used the gym again and eventually they sent to collections. I tried cancelling it a lot and now it’s negatively effected my credit.

Negative experience: There seems to always be at least on piece of equipment in disrepair and no hurry to get it fixed. Lat pull-down cable has been broken for at least 3 weeks now

Negative experience: Just my opinion but feel like it needs to be modernized a bit . Packing tape on equipment .Ropes for triceps so worn down they are literally half as thick as they were new.

Positive experience: Pretty great spot. Not busy during the times I've been there(before 7am.) Saturday morning I was alone entirely at 6am. It is relatively small so it has one of most machines for resistance training. Only one set of each freeweight amount also. Lots of cardio availability though. Fantastic experience: If you're looking for a large gym with every piece of equipment you can imagine, this is not your gym. HOWEVER - This gym has all basics and then some, it's clean, the staff is very kind and helpful, the airflow is phenomenal, and *most importantly* unlike other 24-hour gyms, Anytime takes their name very seriously. There are no exceptions for weekends, holidays, etc. When you're a member, you can use your key fob to let yourself in ANY TIME. This was the major selling point for me, as nothing makes me crazier than having to work my routine around business hours. I've been a member of Anytime for 6 years and counting, and don't plan on leaving "anytime" soon - heh.

Negative experience: Two tiny showers that are always in use. And no towels offered.

The equipment and accessories are well maintained, and the staff regularly ask for suggestions to improve the space. They ensure that they say hello as soon as you walk in, and don’t hesitate to help out if you look lost or like you need help. Overall, a great place to workout!

Negative experience: Okay gym, "bro" type atmosphere though. It sounds like a construction zone with members dropping their weights on deadlifts every rep. Ruins the atmosphere completely.

Positive experience: I did the 6 session personal training with Rosario which was a great way to get back into the swing of things, work on proper form, and finding new exercises. It was a great experience that I would definitely recommend.

Fantastic experience: This is a great gym. I consider myself someone with gym anxiety and I really enjoy Anytime. It is clean, neat, and organized. Their staff are amazing and extremely friendly. I had the chance to work with one of their personal trainers Rosario and he was extremely kind, respectful and encouraging. He made a personalized plan for my fitness needs, which was greatly appreciated! Really helped me get a sense of what I need to work on and how to do so.

Fantastic experience: If you want to have a great workout, you need to come here! The staff are so supportive of your needs and make you feel so welcome. I got paired of with Rosario as a personal trainer, and each session he does an excellent job and makes me feel as if i'm heading straight towards my fitness goals! You can tell they only hire the most qualified trainers. I would not go to any other gym.

Fantastic experience: Anytime fitness is a fantastic place to be. The staff seems to be keeping up with all provincial guidelines and mandates because I always see them cleaning. The gym may be smaller than what you're use to, but everyone who works out here will make you feel like family, and be willing to help you if you have any questions as a newcomer. The gym is even open 24/7 making it one of the top gyms in St. Albert!

Fantastic experience: Have been going here since September and all my friends have moved to this gym as well. It’s good to see during a pandemic a gym that actually understands that everyone needs access to a gym despite opinions. Glad to see anytime giving that opportunity to people who can’t go anywhere else atm. Staff are super cool. During staffed hours, the staff are definitely enforcing covid protocol. People here are friendly as well. Gym has everything I need. Great gym.

Positive experience: Friendly staff, kept clean. Has everything you need for a great workout. 2 squat racks, 1 Smith, variety of dumbbells (could have greater variety) Treadmills are a bit outdated but do the job. A few ellipticals and a stair machine, ski erg, studio for stretching, and many circuit machines. Wish the owner would update some stuff to bring it up a notch, but it's sufficient and in good working order. Things I like about this club: It's 24/7 so I never feel rushed to be out at a certain time. It's rarely so busy that I can't get a machine or rack. It feels comfortable because it's smaller. I can access other clubs across the country with my membership when I travel which I love. I pay the same here as any other club in St Albert.

First off, the staff is super friendly and accommodating and try to make the ability to attend a gym as attainable as possible. Second of all, the 24 hr open availability allows busy people such as myself the opportunity to get healthy when fitting it in is the hardest thing to do! Best life decision I’ve made in a long time

Fantastic experience: Hesitated signing up for a gym membership after Covid, but Anytime Fitness St. Albert has been great from the helpful staff and cleanliness of the facility. It is not overly busy and all the equipment you need is available, while being maintained. Fantastic fitness facility!

Positive experience: I like this gym because it's not too busy. It has all the equipment you need. That Staff are available and helpfull. Opening 24/7 is my favorite aspect. What more do you need. Get in there!

Fantastic experience: I remember always driving by this place and looking inside, thinking "man I need to switch here". At the time I was at GoodLife fitness, nothing against them.. I just really did not like like St. Albert location. I am so happy I switched, I have never felt more motivated, and have really built a routine, I love it. It's never overly busy. The equipment is good, and is very well maintained. 100% recommend.

Fantastic experience: Great gym, friendly staff, and very tidy. So far my experience with anytime has not made me miss my membership with goodlife.. Highly recommend if you are looking for a smaller, quieter gym experience with staff who are willing to assist any time you have a problem or question.

Negative experience: They don't require people to wear masks inside. Pretty disappointing in the middle of a pandemic. *Edit I have messaged them multiple times advising of people not wearing masks (always the same people). Despite this, there have been no actions taken. I would advise taking your business elsewhere if you prioritize your health.

Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this gym. It's quaint and it has everything you need in a gym. The atmosphere is extremely professional and the staff are super friendly. Even the other gym goers are really nice. If you're looking for a gym that has a decent amount of equipment but you don't like the atmosphere of a busy gym like GoodLife, then this gym is definitely for you. I highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: As far as small box gyms go this one's amazing. Staff is great and the place is always well organized and tidy. Doesn't have an abundance of machines or plate loaded ones specifically, but it's usually not packed so I'm rarely waiting to use anything. I actually moved out of the area recently and drive to this location just because it's a great spot .

Fantastic experience: I also visited Westmount location (and this one is st. Albert?) which is same distance from where I'm moving in September. I'm unsure which will be my home gym when I move.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym, I've been a member at other gyms and I haven't stay at any of them as long as I have here. The staff is awesome and friendly. The gym is well organized with the 6 feet spacing and SO CLEAN. I've been here for an hour and the person on shift had been cleaning since before I got here. Although there is no towel service at the moment, that doesn't make my experience any less awesome! Plus people would take multiple towels to the shower or home so there wasn't many to be had anyway. It's not that hard to bring your own and shower shoes!

Negative experience: All the Anytime Fitness I have used except a few in Vancouver had towel service. Here in Edmonton almost all have towel service. Yet this location in St.Albert is using the pandemic as an excuse so that staff can be lazy and not do anything. I was at Millwoods and Roper locations and had towel service no problem. Pandemic wasn't used as an excuse to shut down showers. Even in Saskatoon a week ago. But for some reason this location has decided discontinuing showers and towel service was a good idea.

Fantastic experience: Anytime Fitness Always Great. I am from Vancouver and I Love how my Pass works at Any Anytime Fitness. This Gym in St. Albert is Large, Lot of Great Equipment and a Nice Stretching Area. Ample Parking in the Front and the Back makes it Easy to Attend. Had a Good Time Here by Going a Couple of Times while in Town.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to this gym for over a year and a half and just recently cancelled my membership due to relocation. All I can say is this is one of the best gyms (including all Anytime Fitness) which I have been to. The crowd is super nice. The management is just awesome, fair and transparent. Trish, it was an absolute pleasure to deal with you! The gym is always clean and the weights are put back where they belong. It is a well laid out gym and never too busy to work out. I wish AF St. Albert all the success. AR

Positive experience: One of the nicer laid out Anytimes I've been to, spacious and well organized.  It was clean and not very busy. Good amount of equipment selection too. My only gripe is that the knurling on the barbells was really smooth and there was no chalk available so the bars kept slipping through my fingers, which almost lead to me hurting myself. Aside from that though it's a solid gym and I'll definitely attend again next time I'm in St. Albert

Negative experience: I just cancelled my membership shortly after 1 year. First I am not impressed as I am almost positive that I was never verbally told that the membership would automatically renew after the year was up. Even tho I am mad about that that one is a whatever. However, I was not impressed about having to pay a whole other month after just having a payment come out 3 days ago. Lastly, I was told upon signing up that there would be a $50 deposit for a key fob that would be refunded at return. And when I try to return today get told that wasn't the case. So now I am stuck with a useless fob and out $50 because they can't keep their information straight. I am very dissatisfied with my experience at anytime and will not consider returning when looking for another gym.

Negative experience: Had to cancel my membership because I got transfered 2 hours away and had to move for work. But in order to cancel you have to go back to your home gym, write a letter, pay $50 change your liscence to new address. Show it to them. And give 30 days notice. Not really impressed with the process.

Fantastic experience: Very open and welcoming environment, never super busy! The staff here are absolutely phenomenal, always ready to show people how to use machines or answer any questions. They share all the options with you (personal training, and membership information for example), but don't pressure you into buying anything. The space is very clean, and relatively quiet too! I love the virtual classroom option! Not to mention the 24/7 availability! I am new to the gym, but am very thankful I chose Anytime Fitness St Albert! I would recommend to anybody!!

Fantastic experience: Love this gym, the staff are so nice and friendly and they do not put any pressure to sell you a membership. I only had a trial, but the gym was never busy when I visited and there’s a good variety of equipment and they also keep it clean! Unfortunately for me I couldn’t get a membership as I live far away but if they opened a location near me I’d definitely become a member with them! I’d recommend this gym to others as well!

Fantastic experience: This is a good gym, new equipment and cardio, lots of room to move around and a great path for lunges. While there is a nice blend of people it seems to be mostly people starting their fitness journey or healthy and active men and women (but not pro lifters). There are private showers and on site towel service which is important to me. Also, the gym and bathrooms are clean and there is lots of free parking. I haven't taken any classes so I can't speak to those.

Positive experience: The gym itself has the typical equipment you can find at some of your local gym but my 4 stars are for the towels provided while working out which is a nice touch. I'm from Vancouver and my AnytimeFitness don't have this feature.

Fantastic experience: Very clean, not very busy even during peak hours, great large showers with hot water and towel service, handicap accessible facility, free wifi and cable on most cardio machines.

Negative experience: I joined skeptical because gyms are known for their shady membership fee structure. They were true to form; when I cancelled as I was no longer in town, they refused to refund the activation "fee" of $70+ which at the time they were selling me on a membership months earlier, they'd told me is was an activation deposit. No option for drop-ins either like recreation centers have. No more conventional gyms for me. It would be only one star but the gym itself was great.

Positive experience: Seems to be a good establishment. Several locations. Clean, secure, up to date. I can't say anything against the experience there. The only thing that would be a nice to have is fully self-serve account management / billing.

Negative experience: Really unimpressed with gym, lacking equipment, no really classes to join, have to watch recorded fitness classes. Bathrooms tiny, dirty and unattended all the times I was there. Apparently signed my cancelation 1 DAY late, have to pay for another month that I don't even have access to use. Definitely I do not recommend this gym, there are better gyms with MUCH better customer service skills.
