Negative experience: Machines are always broken, gym is very often packed

Positive experience: It's a decent gym for the price. Enough cardio machines. The black card membership area is ok enough, but people do to take weights from that particular area to outside workout area, that's not acceptable. Cleanliness needs to be improved.

Fantastic experience: Best value for the money if you just want to work out and aren't interested in instructor led classes. All the usual equipment and lots of it!! Pretty clean overall as well.

Negative experience: Never been inside but on the outside it's in a strip plaza

Positive experience: Just wondering why this location doesn’t have kettlebells. When I go to other location and they have more advance equipment like ropes and Kettlebell station, I feel like they should all have it. Even if it’s just a rack of them.

Fantastic experience: Fit for Less Waterloo is a first class gym. The manager is an awesome and personable person who, along with her team maintain a high standard of friendliness and professionalism. I highly recommend this facility.

Positive experience: Clean and usually not too busy unless you go at peak hours. Bring a full water bottle because no water fountain is crazy.

Positive experience: Great place except they are not following their online listed staffed hours. I came for tanning today and they have listed online that they are staffed Sundays until 4pm but when I arrived at 2:50pm there was a sign that it is not staffed and it is not a holiday today. How is this even allowed? If you guys are not staffed then at least change it to the correct hours on the official website.

Negative experience: Manager is disrespectful and finds any chance to yell at young adults for no reason, after a worker instructed them to go in to get a membership he screams in their faces not to. How can anyone feel comfortable coming here to take a tour or even workout being screams at by some old guy. does not have a water fountain/water bottle fill up. and no private female/male change rooms

Negative experience: No water fountain, no staff during peak times, layout is very strange, washroom and change rooms are separate and the lockers are just in the middle of the gym. 2 stars because the free weights and cable machines are decent. But tbh, this is just a confusing and weird gym. Also, muscle milks for 5.50 in the vending machine! That should be a criminal charge!

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars! 4 years I was with this gym, and I needed to take a break. Annual fees were deducted during a "30-day cancelation period." but also after I canceled. Fine, but... Firstly, I was advised that only monthly fees would come out, but that was incorrect. Secondly, I was advised 3-5 biz days for the refund on July 26th, 2024. Fine, it is what it is. It's now Aug 6th and no refund. Why? Because this shady company decided they're holding my money hostage until the 9th so they can take my last weekly payment, and then they'll process my refund. What?!!!! They're deciding what to do with my money, money that they shouldn't have taken to begin with?! I have autopayments set up for the weekly fee, so why are you holding MY money?!! NEVER will I ever join this organization again. Yall need to come feed my family with the money you stole.

Positive experience: The best fit4less in KW for sure. Super spacious and lots of equipment, though the black card area is not as big as some other locations. Would be nice to have dedicated change room areas and showers. Also wish they had a legit water fountain instead of the bathroom tap, but not a big deal.

Fantastic experience: Dont usually do reviews or ratings however I just felt the need to express the incredible service that Emylie Gave me, seemed so friendly helpful and sweet with helping me with all the questions I had as I am a new member, Emylie is the best gym employee Ive encountered since moving to Waterloo, she is so caring and sweet and was always happy to help:)!!!!

Fantastic experience: I come to this gym everyday and the machines are always working and clean and i don’t have any complaints. Also, Emy, i think her name is, helped me look for my keys when I lost them and was so sweet and she definetly deserves a raise!!

Fantastic experience: my favourite employee (emylie i believe her name is) is so well educated on each machine and is always an amazing help and guide whenever i need it! she is so patient and sweet and sincerely cares about everyone who attends this gym. she is so nonjudgmental and truly makes me comfortable whenever i talk to her. wish i could tip her!

Negative experience: No water fountain in a gym is outrageous to me. I joined without checking for this because I assumed that there would be one. Otherwise a very nice gym given the price. I likely would have joined regardless but this is the only gym I have ever been to without a fountain.

Negative experience: To my surprise there is no source of filtered drinking water. Really bad experience. And Black card area is rarely cleaned.

Negative experience: I purchased a black membership to work out in a less crowded environment, but the black membership area often has a foul odor. When I asked an employee about it, they said they couldn't do anything about it. Additionally, they lack a drinking water facility, and on one occasion, when I requested a hydro massage at around 9:45, the employee refused, citing that they close 10 minutes prior to their departure. However, at the same time, another member was using the hydro massage.

Positive experience: Decent gym, can get crowded during peak hours and sometimes there are not enough machines or equipment to go around but otherwise it's clean and well maintained.

Positive experience: Just recently joined this gym. As a first time gym goer, I enjoy that it's not overwhelming and everyone seems really nice. It's very clean and well taken care of. Plenty of machines and options. A water fountain would be a nice addition. Also for the black card members, It should be clear that use of the massage chairs, Hydrobed are 10min limit per use... Otherwise I am very happy so far with this gym!!

Negative experience: Another year gone, another year Fit4less hasn't cared about it's members and staff enough to install a water fountain. Yes, you read that right. If you don't bring water from home you can conveniently fill it from the same tap in the washroom that people use to wash their hands. I don't care what excuses they have, it's a health and safety issue, and at the very least, a slap in the face to everyone who uses the facility. Otherwise, the staff are great and it's always clean. It would be swell if Fit4less could address this in a reply instead of asking me to send a private DM.

Positive experience: Its a gym and service is really great when something is not good or working. I dont know his name but an not okd but grey hair guy takes care of the place in a nice way and makes people feel good if you interac.

Negative experience: Great gym.. but you get 2 stars because there's no water fountain!! Are you really expecting folks to use the taps in the bathroom?

Fantastic experience: This place is the best fit4less I've been to. And I have been to Toronto halifax, Calgary and Vancouver. A lot of equipments black room for black card holders, amazing staff(mostly). Clean and clear. I love this gym.

Positive experience: Big clean gym that does not get too busy. The staff are friendly. It is nice that you can share your access card with family. One issue is that massage beds are offline after staff leave at around 9pm. Perhaps these can be made self serve.

Fantastic experience: Best gym in KWC, it can get busy at evenings. But even if you come in that time, it’s the best value you can get. Update: Water cooler is finally here!!!

Negative experience: Have a membership here and find alot of people don't clean their machines. It smells. The TVs and music are off due to roof maintenance.

Positive experience: Big gym, not very busy which is a huge plus. There’s multiples of every machine and it’s very clean. The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because there isn’t real locker rooms which isn’t a big deal because it is a discount gym so I get it.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym so much! The staff are really kind and everything is so well taken care of. Tanya in particular is an incredible employee who has a super positive attitude and kind energy.

Fantastic experience: Although a tad bit more expensive than Crunch fitness, this gym never gets as jam-packed as that one which is why I'm keeping this membership. The facility looks clean and has a laid-back vibe. The lack of WiFi and water fountains are a bit of a nuisance, but the nice vibe just manages to make up for it.

Fantastic experience: Five stars for this facility- staff is very friendly, manager is extremely helpful and kind. I always receive wonderful service from this gym and will continue to recommend it to others! One of my favourite things about this gym is the cleanliness, I haven't ever been to a gym that is so clean!

Positive experience: Clean, has good staff and surpassed my expectations for the price. Liked the private shower room-style setup and never got too crowded. Like others have noted, the gym needs a water fountain and the temperature of the shower needs to be adjustable which docks it down one point.

Fantastic experience: Really solid gym. Went at around 2pm on a thursday and there were less than 10 people in the gym. Went again from 4 to 5 and it still wasn't too busy. Lots of bench presses but would benefit from a designated area to deadlift and just 1 or 2 more squat racks

Fantastic experience: In my experience this gym has been fantastic at keeping itself clean, not busy and overall a very hygienic environment. The workers are all extremely nice. It’s usually never busy and it’s definitely worth paying for what you get. I got here about twice a week for cardio and abs and I never feel scared to workout around other people because the environment is great.

Fantastic experience: This has been my gym for over a year now that I live in waterloo. It’s always being cleaned, the staff are kind and the equipment is on point. Love that they have tanning and hydro massage. Always look forward to my workout here

Negative experience: Horrible showers and changing area. No temp controls. Scolding hot to the point you cant stand in the she stream. Once on, you cant turn the shower off. Microscopic room. Only one hook, which barely has a lip so anything you hang on it will fall on the wet floor. No bench or shelf to put stuff on. Expect everything you have to end up gross and soaking wet if you plan on showering after a workout, including your street clothes. Absolutely rediculous.

Fantastic experience: This location is very clean and is never too crowded. I love the fact that it’s open 24 hrs as well. The receptionists are great, specially Keazea, she’s very friendly and approachable and is always willing to help

Positive experience: North-field Location has ample space as compared to other locations in kitchener-Waterloo. Good vibes. Only issue is that everyday one of the machine or bench is under maintenance and it takes a lot of time to get it fixed.

Positive experience: Update 12-2024: Pros: - Clean gym. - You can often find extra equipment or alternatives if one is occupied. - Kind and helpful staff - Newly added water fountain. No more lugging around that gallon jug. Cons: - Sometimes a piece of equipment is out of service for a long time (even months). Some machines seem to have retired to a mysterious "out of order" land. - Human Tetris! Peak hours feel like rush hour on a subway. You're playing a real-life game of Tetris, trying to squeeze in a rep without colliding with someone else's workout. To fellows: - The "No Outdoor Shoes" policy is apparently optional. Seems some gym-goers think "track shoes" means "muddy boots." - The "Machine Hoarder" epidemic. Hogging machines while glued to your phone or socializing with your friend might build patience, but it won't build muscle. I've witnessed firsthand the tragicomic sight of someone hogging the leg extension machine while engrossed in a rom-com. (Spoiler alert: the hero and heroine get together, but your (and probably others) gains are suffering.)

Fantastic experience: the best gym in the city. if you want the most value for your dollar, this is the gym to be at. cleanest facility along with amazing staff and management.

Negative experience: Really disappointed with the customer service at this gym. I forgot my card and had to be let in (as the gym had just been closed for a month due to covid and I removed it from the place where I usually kept it). The girl at the front had me complete all the covid screening, vaccine scanning, identification, and confirmation of my black card membership before telling me I wasn’t allowed to come in because it had happened once before. I can understand if it had been weeks on end having forgotten a card, but this policy of only once then pay for a new one is ridiculous - people are human and occasionally forget. Not to mention the hot water has been broken in the showers on multiple occasions and the equipment is often dirty. To pay $30/month and then be turned away from a forgotten card is ridiculous. Low end gym with poor customer service. Don’t go here.

Negative experience: Horrible customer service, manager was extremely rude and she was extremely unprofessional. She refused to let people use the facility when they forgot to bring their passes and said rude comments afterwards. EXTREMELY unprofessional.

Fantastic experience: I love this gym. It's big, clean, and reasonably priced. Anyone on here that complains about covid protocol, this is for you: If you're that scared of catching "a cold" , it's best you just stay away from the gym, and away from society. You are just perpetuating this nonsense. Absolutely love this gym and the staff. 5 big stars.

Fantastic experience: I have been really impressed with Fit4Less. I was only in town for a month, and it was an easy and affordable option. I went in the morning and there was very few people there. They checked my vaccine record every time I arrived, and given how large the gym is, I felt safe given COVID. I should also mention that the staff were really helpful and nice - my access card wasn't working properly and they went above and beyond to help me. Great spot and great staff.

Fantastic experience: I really like that the lockers are not in the washrooms and I also like that they have a gender neutral washroom as well. I often think about trans and non binary folks and how much of a struggle it can be when things are divided by gender. I love this gym

Fantastic experience: Overall, it’s a good gym. Great value. It’s clean and very big, with lots of equipment so you don’t really need to wait for other people to finish, whilst keeping safe distance. There’s a bit of staff rotation, but they are all nice.

Negative experience: I got a membership before Covid and didn't really use the gym much because of the Covid year but i understood that i have a commitment for one year and I was respecting that fact. Before teh year was over I called and cancelled the membership and the lady was clear that "you still have a month on your membership to expire, after that you will not be billed". I found afterwards that they have been billing me and continued to bill me for another year. I called two months ago and told them that i cancelled almost a year before and that i need to speak to a manager. I was promised that someone will call me and no-one did. I am still seeing payments being deducted from my credit card. I know all business are hurting but this is scamming .... Unethical.
