Negative experience: From 10 elliptical machine, 7 are broken. These 2 machines are always broken, the only 2 on the gym. Since I stayed at this filial, I can count on my hands the days it worked.

Negative experience: I get that you are working on repair of machines. Eventually! How about the fiberglass falling down? Do you think that's safe for gym users? As I said before AT LEAST it's not asbestos but fiberglass dust isn't much better for people who are breathing hard in a closed space I would think you would take some measure very quickly to protect us. You didn't even respond to that and I see all your respopnses to disgruntled reviewers are the same. AH the benefits of AI in dealing with unhappy folks.! Why not tell us what you are actually doing to repair things and when ? We are your raison d'etre you know 6 ellipticals 5 broken.. oops there are 4 now in the back so 10 and those are amazingly still working yeah! Some machines have been broken FOR YEARS. I failed mention the huge piece of fiberglass ...falling down on the machines Fiberglass...well at least it's not asbestos huh?

Positive experience: I've been to multiple econofitness and this one has to have the worst users. Everything is always broken, people leave everything on the floor and there's no one with any authority calling them out. They recently installed new machines and some parts were broken before it was fully ready to use... Bathrooms are filthy. Users are rude when asked to share/work-in and loom at you like you're crazy when you aske them not to drop cable weights or swing stuff around. Members should be reminded what safety and gym etiquette are. This is no one's personal gym :)

Positive experience: No gym is perfect but econofitness really got it right in terms of affordability, convenience of use, simplicity, cleanliness and access. Sure this one is a busy place as it is a very big and many people come in and out especially on busy hours but the maintenance of the place has been very good. I really enjoy the fact you can get massage on the chairs free there too after a good training. Helped me relax my back and feet! The playlist they got going on during trainings is great as well! A lot of people just like complaining for a bunch of small reasons but according to me if you are looking for a good gym with many machines available and extra features for its members at a decent price in montreal, this is is your best bet!

Negative experience: I've been in many econofitness and this is by far the messiest one. Also, PLEASE PLEASE ask your users to wear deodorant. In all areas in Montreal, this is definitely the one that STINKS the most. Give everyone a free deodorant bar please. (Including women)

Negative experience: Be careful of the Major security issue in the night. 1) People allow strangers to enter inside using this emergency exit door, which doesn’t have any alarm working. 2) Homeless people sleeping in the massage area with lights turned off to be pitch black.

Negative experience: As a new member of the gym, I am writing to express my concerns regarding the safety and hygiene of the massage area. During my second visit to the gym in the evening, I noticed that several homeless individuals were sleeping in the massage chairs and hydro beds, and there was a strong odor of marijuana in the air. This made me feel quite unsafe and uncomfortable, and I am now considering canceling my membership. I would appreciate it if you could look into this matter and take appropriate action to address these issues. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Positive experience: You can’t beat the subscriptions prices. Staff is friendly and machines are suitable. The gym doesn’t have any window/natural light and it gets too crowded around 6pm. You’ll have to wait in line to use equipment.

Fantastic experience: It's a good gym. I go to atwater gym and it's clean. After every use of equipment, every individual sanitise it. Never been to the washroom so have no idea about the cleanness. Overall it's good.

Negative experience: Premier vélo stationnaire incliné que j'essaie ne marche pas... Le 2e me "dit" de patienter moitié du temps où je pédale; le 3e ne peut être ajusté. Le gars à la réception semble irrité par ma demande d'aide, et bientôt disparait pour au moins 10 minutes en laissant une femme enceinte sans assistance (et le téléphone sonner). Tout culminant avec ceci : quelques heures plus tard, mon conjoint fut obligé de quitter le gym sans premiers soins après une blessure à la tête causée par une machine défectueuse! Le médecin a confirmé qu'il présente des symptômes de commotion cérébrale, et ceci pourrait aller en Cour. Sinon, bonne chance aux filles pathétiques qui sont là juste pour se "get" un petit/gros "dessert chocolaté"! Un vrai cirque noir, ce gym, gare à vous!

Negative experience: Comment dire que c’est un des pires gym que Éconofitness a non seulement le soir leurs employé laisse plusieurs personnes rentraient sans abonnement, mais aussi ils s’enlèvent l’alarme de sécurité pour laisser n’importe qui rentré. Il y avait même une personne qui demandait de l’argent pour que les gens puissent rentrer au gym. Les toilettes sont insupportables et malpropres. Je ne comprends comment peut-on laisser un ou une gérante aussi incompétent(e) dirige le gym, il va falloir changer cette personne car le travail est mal fait surtout les employé qui y travaille.

Positive experience: The absolute best Éconofitness in Montréal. It’s the only one that I know of that has open space and isn’t overly crowded. The staff is very kind and helpful, lead by the manager Veronica who handles all questions and complaints with poise and grace. The only issue that I’ve had there is a short and bald man that is always lurking somewhere and he is the thirrrrrrstiest person ever! He is a trainer at the gym and STARES at women while they’re working out I’ve even seen him giving a massage to a female receptionist at the front desk while she was working

C’est un cas de négligence extrême et de non respect des personnes fréquentant ce gym. J’ai demandé à parler à un superviseur et les jeunes de devant n’ont pas pu me référer à quelqu’un. Upon signing up, you may encounter unresolved issues such as faulty payment machines and other common problems. While you may raise these concerns, it is unlikely that they will be promptly addressed or resolved by the gym staff.

Negative experience: Weights and other equipment are thrown all around the gym. Bathroom is always dirty and DO NOT USE THE LOCKERS. My lock has been cut and my things stolen. This happens regularly according to other people there. This gym seems to be a "chill spot" for a lot of people at night.

Negative experience: Everything is always broken (literally 60% of equipment is defective or fully broken), it's always too crowded and there isn't enough equipment for everyone. I hate this stupid gym but it's the only one in accessible distance to me. I wish they'd open another econo in the west so i wouldn't have to come and endure this foolishness anymore.

Negative experience: Too crowded, not nearly enough machines and to top it all off there is someone (or a group of people) opening people’s bags in the lockers and stealing wallets, cards and other stuff. If you don’t have a padlock, don’t bring your stuff there!

Negative experience: Just moved here and had this membership for a week, apparently they just did a “major clean” but it’s easily the filthiest gym I’ve seen and members are completely disrespectful, machines and bars are all greasy, at least 3 or 4 broken machines that don’t seem to be getting fixed anytime soon, leaving only 1 fly machine, which would be less of a problem if all the weights were reset and benches were clean and not cracked, and the change room looks borderline derelict. Cleaning appears to be a complete write off as this random water bottle has been there for at least 4 days. Look I hate complaining but I was warned, I didn't listen and I regret wasting my time or money here. Update, management is also super unprofessional and confrontational, no concept of how to run an establishment clearly.

Negative experience: I’m a frequent user of this gym and never really felt entitled to review as i’m sharing a membership and « only » paying around 16$/months. However, the current state of this gym to horrendous to not speak. This gym always has been crowded and machines are very often broken and long to be repaired, but recently, it’s even worse than usual. Always super crowded, even at off peak hours; so many broken machines that have been for weeks; and today I was suprised by the THREE different leg extension machines being simultaneously broken and ALL of the paper dispenser being empty, thus making you train in the previous users’ sweat. Terrible gym overall, the team responsible for the gym is understaffed and incompetent, enforcing stupid rules while elementary rules and equipement are not provided : saw a employee ask for the only black guy to go back to his home because he was using the same (clean) shoes he used to come at the gym while half the machine are broke, many users are using equipement without cleaning anything and then letting their stuff everywhere. It is very unlikely that Econo will increase the ressources attributed to this gym and for things to change so you can’t go wrong with chosing another gym.

Negative experience: It's March, and the Asian manager is still looking to see if customers have changed their shoes, looking like a prison police officer. Why not pay more attention to your broken machines.

Negative experience: Je paye pour platinum membershit, ça fait 1 anné que je viens ici pour entrainment. 2/4 hydro massage chaises marche pas jamais. Tous les nuits il y a des homeless ou les élèves suspicieux dorment sur les chaises. En suite, tous les lockers sont ouvertes par quelcun chaque nuits pour voler les chose chaque soiree. Moi meme j’ai perdu mon manteau ici. C’est dégutant et insécure. Aucune measure de “gym etiquette education” from the establissment. People grunts loud like monkey, get naked, bang weights on the floor, the alarm goes off continuously and no one cares, nobody put barbells nor dumbbell back when done using (I’m find with the weights being thrown everywhere, but making laps around the gym to find a dumbell is ridiculous) J’ai vu quelques reviews de gens avec des choses volées mais ça l’air comme l’établissement prends aucun inniatives pour les addresser

Negative experience: This gym is fine for what they offer, but there are some problems that need to be mentioned: 1- There are many machines that are broken and have been like that for a long time. 2- It gets really busy during certain hours (between 2 to 7 pm), often with loud teenagers, which could get annoying because all the equipments will be in use. 3- Most members don’t carry a personal towel, which is truly gross, making the gym smellier than it should be.

Negative experience: J’ai fais plusieurs gym Econofitness à travers le Québec et d’habitude, ça va, j’essaye d’éviter les heures de pointes. Ce gym par contre bat de sérieux record. Un nombre incroyable de machines brisées, aucune altère de disponible en bas de 45 livres et le staff est, malheureusement pour eu, assis à terre derrière le comptoir.

Negative experience: I reactivated my membership, and cancelled again a week later. Other reviewers are not exaggerating – the gym has seriously gone downhill. It's very dirty. Dusty, sticky machines. Mold in the ventilation systems of the cardio machines. Food crumbs all over the floor. Filthy bathrooms. And my goodness, the smell in the gym is nauseating! So many machines broken, both cardio and weight-training. Such a shame, because it is conveniently located. But nothing is worth this, not even the cheaper membership. I'd rather walk an extra 10-15 mins and go to Gym St-Henri or Nautilus.

Yesterday my daughter went with her friends in this fitness and someone stole her documents and money from the locker. several lockers were opened by scammers. there was no administration and no one even helped with this. never go to this awful gym!!!! Unsafe place!!!

Called gym and asked manager to call me multiple times but she's too lazy and never did - you have to walk in during 9-5 Monday-Friday to solve any issue, so good luck if you have a job. You might not get to do more than cardio Pros: open 24/7, location (right in the mall and next to grocery store) Cons: poor benefits, limited equipment selection, cleanliness, member attitudes. Pros: 24/7 hours are good (only if you pay for higher grade plans). Just familiarize yourself with the entrance cuz they lock up the mall. Nice that it’s inside the mall. Go right up from the metro Cons: The only benefit to upgrading to a higher plan is fuller hours and massage chairs. *hidden fees* ask about the cancellation fee. Also no need to sign up in person: they won’t do it for you and direct you to your phone anyway. Website is confusing, and if you sign up for the wrong plan, too bad. No refunds or options to downgrade. This is more of a company issue than customer service issue. I’ll recommend people to find another gym based on this policy alone Limited equipment: forget about using any barbells, dumbbells, pulley machines. If you’re okay with the treadmill/elliptical/stairmaster/and a few open machines, this will be fine. Men’s locker room smells foul at baseline. Today it smelled like vomit. Members are polite/not aggressive, but hog machines, dumbbells, don’t clean up after themselves. Everytime I go I see plates and dumbbells all over the gym.

Negative experience: Alexis Nihon Econofitness needs some love. Treadmill machines make too much noise. Equipments are often broken or have some weird stains on them. Leaking from washroom onto the locker room floor. No music and few screens are out of service. Ceiling might also be cracking as I've noticed some paint fell on the treadmill machine. Management needs to step up and show some love to this populated gym.

It gets jammed and I have to either wait for an hour until someone leaves or take 30 minutes to go back home. Why don’t you guys just leave the door open so people can come in and out as you already require the key card two times to get in

Ils m'ont chargé des "frais inconnus" sur mon compte, aucuns des employés ne pouvaient m'expliquer ce que ça voulait dire et malgré que mes paiements mensuels n'ont jamais été en retard ils m'ont refusé l'accès au gym tant que je ne payais pas ces "frais inconnus".

Negative experience: machines always broken. If you have platinum membership and coming to gym at midnight, outside building door will never open and you have to wait hours for someone to come from inside to open that door. No one bothered to fix that even the fees I pay.

Not enough weights under 20lbs, bench press, exercise balls, and many others; machines are constantly breaking down; no foam rollers, Heating system is not strong enough in the winter - there's day where the temperature was 17°C!!

The kettlebells are in a good condition, though. Edit: Additional star for having some machines fixed. This must be the worst Econofitness location. No windows, no space for group fitness. Several machines are always broken, with repair times from 2 weeks to 3 month (for simple replacements of cables, adjustment pulls etc.) No attempt to be proactive to avoid down time. My chip frequently does not work for Hydromassage. The tanning booth lamps should have been replaced weeks ago. However, cleanliness has improved a little.

Fantastic experience: It's was personal experience i am going there like few days,there lots people you have wait for your turn,but people's good friendly you can do workout as much you want to,so there no parsonla trainer so you have to follow your own roll,i am doing at night less people i get everything easily everything so if you want go there so go at night.

Negative experience: There isn’t much good I can say about this gym. Everything is regularly broken and won't ever get fixed if it is. Always too crowded. missing equipment for stretches and warmups and several barbells let alone smaller equipment. There are never any staff available and equipment is constant dirty and not where it should be. The bathrooms look like a gulag. Id pay the monthly fee not to go here if truste were other options nearby. Edit: their claim to have sent a request to management to fix their equipment clearly did not go very far. The same things as last time are still broken and more. There are even less staff now..

J’ai donc appelé Econofitness 24/7 Atwater aujourd’hui (lundi 10 juillet à environ 18:45) pour savoir s’il est possible de faire une séance d’essai pour découvrir la salle car bien qu’il y’a de mauvais avis sur Google, je veux me faire une opinion par moi même. La fille qui a répondu au téléphone m’a informé qu’ils faisaient des cours à la journée pour 25$, lorsque j’ai voulu confirmer qu’Econofitness n’offrait pas de séance d’essai la fille m’a raccroché au nez. C’est dommage pour eux, j’étais abonné chez Econofitness Extra avant la Covid et malgré une mauvais expérience passée concernant la résiliation de mon abonnement durant la période Covid, j’ai fais l’erreur de vouloir leur laisser une seconde chance.

Negative experience: I've only been to this location about 5 times out of my 1200 plus visits and I have to say I always leave distrubed and disatisfied. This time I'm left to comment. This place has the worst service of staff and worst equipment and machine failure. I advised a staff member that the hydro bed did not work and and the male attendant shrugged his shoulders. I then told him that the other beds were also out of commission and still shrugged his shoulders. Having managed multiple facilities myself ~The proper thing to do should be should be always be check the machine and then put out of order sign for safety reasons this guy clearly dislikes his job and is just collecting a paycheck

Negative experience: The door never works at night so you have to wait for around 30 minutes hoping that someone will leave and open it from inside. Moreover, after 3 months they suddenly terminated my membership and charged $25 saying I let someone inside, even though the person is already a member of gym and both have platinum membership.They told me with platinum membership I can bring my friend with me as well, I don’t understand who is at fault here. The staff is not helpful including the manager. These were the exact words they said ‘someone has to pay $25’. I regret taking membership here. Please avoid this gym.

Negative experience: Worst gym I’ve ever worked out at in my life. Only have a membership cuz I’m in Montreal for a month and they had by far the best rate. The gyms are musty, humid, have no sufficient AC, uncomfortable/unkinetic equipment, no natural light, overcrowded unless you’re here in the middle of a workday. It’s actually so bad that it actively discouraged me from going to the gym. If you care about ever actually enjoying a workout, stay away. Edit: @econofitness, you reply the same thing to every bad review but we all know you aren’t gonna do anything about it. Your bench press is so awkward to use that that due to poor positions I pulled a muscle in my neck and could barely move my head for 48 hours. Negative experience: $25 for a drop in, that’s ridiculous never have I seen a drop in rate so expensive. Just wanted to test this gym out and see if it’s worth getting a membership. Lady was rude as well at front desk.

Negative experience: Econofitness is generally known for its affordability and value, but unfortunately, this particular location falls short in terms of cleanliness and odor. Additionally, there seems to be a tendency among the members here to hog equipment for extended periods or reserve it for their friends.
