Negative experience: Nothing sucks more than the time out card your outta luck god forbid you forget something in your car after hours your stuck for 30mins outside while your stuff is inside liable to get stolen or destroyed or thrown out. I understand about other ppl sneaking in but it’s very unfortunate for the honest ones that happen to forget something in their car. The whole workout is tarnished, by the time you get back in the vibe is over or times almost up. They should find a better method. On double scanning you can see who it does on camera a penalize the ones that sneak ppl in.

Negative experience: This gym has VERY OLD equipment, the owner must be very cheap to not modernize the equipment. The bathrooms are VERY dirty and smell. The training room they have is very dirty also there are dead bugs on the floor. I am shocked this place is open. Seeing how dirty it is you are bound to catch a virus here. There has to be a standard for gyms and this is below standard. The owner must be real cheap as other reviews are mentioning similar things. And please owner stop cut and pasting the same thing your keyboard must be broken. Lastly there are way too many people sneaking in for free. The staff tend to lock themselves in the room or stay in the room. Owner you are better off hiring cleaners to come in 3 times a day to keep the place clean and have things be self serve at your location. Cause let me tell you if we were to call health canada here this place would be closed down. As for the equipment stoping being a cheapo and modernize things. The amount of times equipments are broken here and stay broken is insane for a gym not acceptable. And if its due to the parts not being there its cause the equipment is OLD! #oldquipment #cheapowner #dirtygym

Negative experience: You should probably know that at night when the staff leave, young guys who don’t have memberships stand in the lobby and wait for people to scan their card, then force their way through the revolving door pushing strangers through. Management should probably tighten up security, this happened to me and I quit my membership straight away.

Negative experience: I tried to visit this gym for the first time and couldn’t get in. No front desk. Their self serve kiosk machine was broken and wouldn’t let me buy a day pass. Terrible system in place. I left and went to planet fitness down the street.

Positive experience: It's been almost a year since I have been going to this gym, and every time I have had an issue it was resolved with professionalism and speed. Thank you so much! However, I would like to see some updated equipment, a bulgarian split squat machine, some steps for elevation and perhaps more things that will help women to complete their glutes and leg workouts. The cleanliness is inconsistent, only some staff members actually work to keep the place clean. I really miss the guy that used to work there he was the best. Always cleaning and was so friendly and kind. Overall, there is more work to be done. You can get there...it just requires some intentionality. Keep going!

Negative experience: Has to be the work reception desk ever!!!! Cannot believe they keep you waiting for minimum of 40 mins and this is the fourth time. Hopefully the management does act on this it is genuinely very much frustrating.

Negative experience: This gym is packed to the brink 99% of the time during the day. At times I’ve walked in and had to wait 15 minutes for a bench or machine to open just to start my workout. I’ve had to walk out and go somewhere else instead. This wouldn’t be so bad if they simply took 30% of their useless, unused cardio machines and replaced them with decent workout machines. There is a crazy lack of equipment, (Only 2 adjustable benches, 1 flat bench, 2 cables, No cable row, 1 chest press machine as the other one seems to be permanently broken, etc.) I’ve never seen such a lack of options and quantity. The quality differs, but for the most part everything is clearly on the cheaper side. The machines are not good. They break easily and are sometimes too old to fix in a reasonable time period. The padding is stiff as a rock and ripped. The cables are in dire need of some oil. The only bright spot is the cardio equipment. So outdated and outclassed. I’d say you get what you pay for but that’s just not the case as there are so many better options for the same price in Whitby. Even the Planet Fitness down the street is better. The reason it’s not 1 star is because it’s 24/7.
Negative experience: This gym desperately needs new equipment. Unfortunately it is going in the wrong direction. Recently they actually removed the Nautilus Lat Pulldown machines and replaced them older, USED, Star Trac machines - cracked and worn out seats included! Most of the time the more popular machines have one of two broken. One of two chest press machines, arguably the most popular machine, has been broken for more than half the time I’ve been a member! The excuse - parts on back-order. The machines are so old they can’t get parts for them? Other examples of extended periods of “down” time - leg curl, abdominal (over 6 weeks), pec fly, leg press and leg extension. One of the tanning booths was out of commission for months. I think one treadmill has been broken for the ENTIRE time I’ve been a member (almost 4 months). I have had no issue with the staff. They seem to be friendly. They do seem totally uninterested however when I comment on the broken equipment. It is not that they can do anything about it, but they could let management know. There are other gyms in the area that are either new or willingly to spend more on equipment. Maybe try them. A gym membership is no good if you can’t get a good workout in because either equipment is broken or having to wait forever for others to finish. Cheap isn’t good if it is useless!

Negative experience: The gym is kept clean and the environment is good to workout in however the management does not appear to care about keeping their products maintained and operational. There are pmultiple pieces of equipment that have been "down for maintenance" for weeks now and nobody at the location seems to be able to do anything. There is no manager in Whitby, the location's voicemail is turned off and the managers at the Ajax and Oshawa locations, who promised to have the issues addressed, have doing little to nothing. This location needs to get it's act in gear or it will continue to lose clients. Mark - Pissed off client
Positive experience: I usually go to the new location in Toronto at Queen and Coxwell which is much bigger and has a private black card member area. This location has limited equipment but I love that anywhere I go I can access a gym at anytime as well. I really enjoy fit4less.
Positive experience: No power racks. 3 smith machines, 1 bench for bench pressing. It's alright but if you need the black card area go somewhere else, this location doesn't have one For a long time this gym didn't have a water fountain but now they do.
Negative experience: The owner is incredibly cheap seeing as almost nothing has changed since it has opened up... the quality of the gym has done nothing but deteriorate with zero care from the owner clearly. Almost all fit for less gyms in durham have had full renovations and updates since their opening... this place still has the "now open" stickers on the windows... it's been here for years!!! The lack of care this gym is shown by the owner is very bad, the wall paper is now starting to fall off the walls... there is also not one single benefit to having a black card at this gym, the chairs suck, the beds are always busy and it's too small of a building to have a separate area for black card members so save your money if this the only one you go too. I used to really like it here about two years ago but since then it has become clear there is a lack of customer appreciation in the sense of taking care of the gym and updates. I hope to be able to change this review one day.

Negative experience: They need to step up their game. I’ve found the only good time to go is at 6am. I live 2 minutes away but I’m forced to drive to oshawa because of how busy this place gets and lack of equipment. Every other Fit4less I’ve been to has the black card area. Hoping to see some renovations in the future here so I can stop wasting gas driving 20 minutes instead of 2. Also how is there only 3 benches I spend most of my workouts here waiting for equipment.

Positive experience: Gets the job done, but the place needs a deep clean. The bathrooms smell so heavily of mildew, the exercise room hasn't been swept or washed in a good amount of time. One rower is missing a useable shoe strap, several of the treadmills skip. The exercise mats are all falling apart and leaving a mess as well.

Negative experience: if you're American this probably isn't the place for you. they don't accept our banking information so either pay for a full year in advance $300+ or pay for each workout $20+ individually. also the kiosk doesn't always work so individual workouts can be hit or miss so, 2 stars bc they don't try very hard.

Negative experience: This place USED to be good when ADULTS ran it. Ever since it’s been kids running it, it has all gone down hill. Place is dirty, bathrooms dirty, no paper towels, terrible customer service. The amount of kids working out here is insane. They come in droves 8 kids for 1 machine. The kids working here allow their friends to come in for free. You see kids filming elderly folks and laughing. The machines are always broken. It smells terrible. I would suggest Good life which owns Fit4less remove all these kids working here and put proper people in place as these kids don’t care or know anything.

Positive experience: I joined years ago and came back after 3 years, there has been a deterioration. I know it's a budget friendly gym, please maintain what is there.
Negative experience: Completely dissatisfied with their customer service. Signed up as a minor and never was told that the computer system would not register the age change. Unable to access the gym on multiple occasions - unable to change information on KIOSK - they can't figure out my age but are quick to take annual membership fee for a gym I haven't been able to access in months due to my schedule and card not working. I have requested to cancel this membership to a gym I can't use and they have the audacity to tell me I have to pay until March 29th and my annual fee will not be returned either. DISGUSTING! Nice way to treat a student. _ Sam T is telling me now that she is just doing her job and is bound by policy - so their policy is to not inform their customer of red tape to change their memberships.
Positive experience: The only reason I didn’t give this location 5 stars are for the following reasons 1. The equipment is “in maintenance “ more than we can use the equipment. 2. The amount of people that come in the winter time without changing their shoes and walking all over the equipment is ridiculous, I know this is not the staffs issue but maybe having someone at the front desk at all times making sure the shoes are changed would make a huge difference in the cleanliness of the place. 3. The fit4less poster of “etiquette” is hidden behind a vending machine which serves no purpose at all. 4. The tanning aspect of it is “different” I mean I know it’s on the cheaper side but for as long as I’ve been there the minutes have been going down. And when I asked staff why this was happening her response was “ I don’t know what this company does!” Which is unprofessional in my eyes. Also there is no bench or place to put your clothing therefore you have to put on the floor or try to make it fit on a tiny little mirror Finally: from what I see some of the staff are found working out in the gym than actually at the desk. But the manager Sam is wonderful she is always helpful and available when needed.

Negative experience: Might be the worst F4L I've been to. Always overcrowded, one set of each piece of equipment and they're frequently under repair. Freeweight area is too densly packed - always feeling like I'm in the way of everyone and everything trying to lift. Compared to Oshawa, Bowmanville, and even Peterborough, this one is awful. It consistently forces me to compromise on my exercise, and frankly I'm done.

Positive experience: Free weights in a tight space, making it difficult to get work done. The location is small, and when the rush arrives, it's impossible to get 1 of the 4 benches. If your not in a rush I would recommend driving to the oshawa location.

Positive experience: An inexpensive gym with all the machines/equipment you need. Never had a problem with the members or staff. It gets pretty busy after dinner but if you go at any other time all the equipment is available. In order to achieve 5 stars this gym needs to have a water fountain station.

Negative experience: Turn down your music. Even with my headphones on. The music is so loud I can still hear it with my phone on max volume. Turn the volume down its very annoying. Esp in the middle of the night when there is next to no one here. Most ppl bring their own music so this service is def on my con list for this place. Equipment is good. Takes a while to repair things on inflate equip low in air. More attentive staff would be nice. Most times they just hang out in the office and chat. As my old boss said. Time to lean you got time to clean. Bathrooms are always messy as well.

Positive experience: I like coming here there's enough equipment to do what you want easy come in Do your work out, and leave. Every thing seams clean, little things like corners and some vents on machines I've notice get some dust build up but don't forget it is a discount gym not a good life or a high end gym. Never had a problem but I'm giving it a 4 star because I see too many people complaining about customer service problems related to payments and a lack of responses to emails and calls.

Negative experience: I like the gym itself, equipment and staff. However, my problem is that the staff is almost always sitting inside their room and usually isn't around at the front desk. That's problematic because they often close the staff door and the only way to get a massage is to speak to the staff at the front desk. If there is any other issues also it becomes a problem- wonder why they sit inside chatting almost everytime I check.

Fantastic experience: I have Fit4less membership for almost 4 years. I started at the North York Centre and I moved to the Whitby location cuz of pandemic. Both locations are great, although Whitby is smaller the staff always have been very nice to me. The GYM is very decent for the price you pay. No issues so far - very clean.
Negative experience: Folks, just freeze everyone's payments. This is a ton of BS. You expect people to continue to go to your site and freeze for the next 30 days. If they forget, you charge them. Until you can allow more than 10 people in, freeze all memberships.
Fantastic experience: Had some billing issues due to the pandemic, but seems back office did the right thing and honored my full year upfront Black Card membership purchase. Only right for me to change my review.

Negative experience: So disappointed with Fit4Less. Such a waste of money I have thrown away for absolutely nothing for the annual and monthly plans. These guys have charged me in December for a week I couldn't use and charged me immediately when they opened. They actually never compensated me for any day I have lost. Have been spending weeks running in the shivering freezing cold. This place is absolutely useless. Good old days Planet and Anytime Fitness please come back. Do not ever recommend this place and will never sign up again. With the Covid excuses, they have great excuses to charge more and improve nothing.
Negative experience: Extremely dissatisfied and very poor customer service at Fit4Less. Could not book two days in a row because their app won't allow to login and keeps giving errors for booking workout slots. Once you're in, absolutely no slots available! I am extremely disappointed and can't even get someone to call or email me. They just keep ignoring people's messages and getting free fees for absolutely nothing. I never want to deal with this gym ever again and it has been such a waste of money. Can you imagine not being able to book twice a week plus another few days because you cannot login to their app. They will do nothing to fix this. This is absolutely absurd and never recommend this gym to anyone.

Fantastic experience: It's great to see this gym providing realistic and fun restrictions thoughout the gym to help fight against covid-19. Nothing better than having a few equipment to use in a very big gym. Covid or no covid. They are basically robbing you. Now that they are closed how am I suppose to cancel my membership?
Negative experience: I enjoy working out at this gym, it has everything you might need, however it is small and gets crowded. The Covid Protocols are not being properly followed as no one is really social distancing, wiping down their equipment as much as they are supposed too. And just a few days ago, seeing these guys walk around without any facial covering, like cmon. And the staff are no where to be found to properly police it. Disappointing, i hope they reduce the amount of people allowed in the gym and enforce these rules more.
Negative experience: The gym advertises 24/7 operation but hasn't been running since the pandemic. I understand changes have to be made to reduce risk of transmission but we are paying full price and cannot use the gym at night. I specifically signed up to use this gym at night, but I cannot but for some reason I'm still paying full price. Planet Fitness and Anytime Fitness are running 24/7. Also good luck trying to contact someone about your membership, support is terrible.
Positive experience: Staff are always super helpful. They gym gets cleaned every 1hr/15 minute gym session. Amazing prices and convenient location. However, about 50% of the treadmills are out of order.

Positive experience: Good variety of equipment although limited to one cable machine, one bench press, one squat rack.
Negative experience: Never join any fit4less. They will lure you into membership but keep charging you after you request to cancel membership. Their justification is that they dont have personnel to 'process' your cancellation. The club staff is not of any use for any membership changes. NEVER TAKE MEMBERSHIP FROM FIT4LESS. THEY ARE AN UNETHICAL CORP.

Positive experience: ***** Update**** Its next to impossible to book a time slot since the move to the red zone restrictions on Nov 23. You have to be fast apparently to get a spot and stay up late to when booking opens. I've managed to get one appointment this week and I try every day!! There should be a discount right now as members that are paying for it aren't able to workout!! It has the essentials. Its smaller so it doesn't have multiples of all machines, but you can still get a good workout. Just have an alternate plan in case the machines you'd hoped for are taken. Lockers here are very small. My biggest complaint is that there in no fountain and you have to buy water, which is fine but they also don't accept change. Debit only for a $1.50 charge, kind of ridiculous but meh, its affordable, and it's open!

Negative experience: People not social distancing, avoid this gym around peak times, the gym is too small and crowded. Failing at health and safety rules specially when it comes to maintaining the distance from each other around the free weights area while performing an exercise without a mask. They should reduce the limit or do something.
Negative experience: Since new management took over in the gym approximately 6/9 months ago I've yet to witness any staff clean 1 piece of equipment. The prior staff were constantly wiping down the machines. I would think with the current environment of what's happenin
