Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Planet Fitness since its opening and I enjoy the freedom to come anytime that's convenient for me. The best part is the classes on Tuesday and Friday mornings. I've been attending Carmine's classes, and they've shown great results in my strength and overall flexibility. He has a great mix of exercises that target every part of your body, whether it's a burn class, strength class, or core class. Doing the proper exercises, whether using machines or free weights, with Carmine's guidance is invaluable. He shows a genuine interest in the proper execution of exercises. I'll definitely keep coming.

Negative experience: The guys at the front desk has broken my lock and got my stuff from the locker while I was working out.So don’t trust the personal lockers out there,I was about to call the cops, wondering what had happened to my stuff !!

Negative experience: If you phone in to cancel they are unlikely to mention the cancel by e-mail option and insist that it must be done in person. Otherwise is a reasonable no-frills gym.
Negative experience: Wanted to go in for the first time but door was closed and no clear instructions, and today i called to get some info but the person whom i spoke with said we are closing, and that’s all, no instructions no explanation why we are closing or when you can call or what to do.

Negative experience: Careful with your reviews. I received a lifetime ban from this gym in new west In new west. After numerous times I was denied access to the massage chairs and dealing with a very rude manager, I went to the there the next day that I was banned from planet fitness for life. Lol. I'm still scratching my head, but what do you do???

Negative experience: Worst experience with cancellation. I cancelled my membership last month but charged twice again this month. When called for asking help I got a negligent reply from staff and disconnected call and not picking calls again. They said i have 3 active accounts and only 2 were cancelled. I dont find any logic behind it as i only had one email and 1 number and only 1 login account. Trying to fool people with illogical explanations.

Fantastic experience: One of the cheapest Planet Fitness locations, yet less crowded compared to others. It can get quite packed after work hours. The employees are super helpful—especially Mohesh. Credits! ✨

Fantastic experience: I enjoy working out at PF. Circuit workout is very good. Carmine is an excellent trainer & very supportive. I have encouraged some senior women from my dragon boat team to come work out. We will continue to train on our off season at PF. Friendly staff, great music, and plenty of choices for fitness sessions. Just love the place.

Negative experience: Too much cardio machines, people barely use. Equipment degrading leather, needs better maintenance, and some machines no longer accurate reps. Bad design for sink making water drip over and slippery. Showers were clean. So far the cheapest gym I found. Was moving tried to cancel and still got charged, front desk lacked giving 10th day policy information.

Fantastic experience: Great amenities for Black Card members. Stand up tanning booths are clean, staff easily turn them on for you. Equipment is all new. Fellow patrons are polite, keep to themselves and do not make excess noise. It was easy to sign up, and easy to cancel. I didn't feel interrogated or pressured to stay or hold. Only leaving the gym because I'm moving otherwise I'd stay.

Fantastic experience: Great place to get fit. I love the 30 minute sessions led by Carmine. He's positive, encouraging and personable. At the end of this short session, I know I have had a good workout. Great facility offering a wide variety of equipment. Various clients working out - all ages and at different stages of fitness. The fees are very reasonable!

Positive experience: Great gym; however, due to cheap price it is really crowded. It wouldn’t be that bad if management put some limit on machine usage. I don’t mind if someone working out but spending another 30 minutes extra on the phone while on the machine is ridiculous. Either workout or play with the phone somewhere else.

Negative experience: Andrea worst customer service agent ever. I dont know her exact name but I called today at 11:38 and then she disconnected my call again saying she cannot hear anything. I called back again at 11:39 . I asked to cancel the services and she was very rude saying i have to pay balance first, but there is a way of saying. She is lacking customer service skills . I was very disappointed and then she hung up instead she should have talked to me politely. She have no manners , i dont know why she is even working here. There are people looking for a job who will be better than her. I will never visit this location ever again in my life. However, I called again and Bets answered my call. This person was very nice and knows what about their job. We definitely need workers like bets not like “andrea” .

Positive experience: Guys please inform beforehand if you are closing soon on stat days…i drove all the way from surrey but after getting there i get to know that they are closing at 10:00, website was saying open 24 hours…please make sure to update everything on google too

Negative experience: Upon entry with a day pass first staff member said I could try out the black card benefits as well. I went into the area and everything was locked with a passcode. I went outside to the front desk and asked for a code but this staff member said I cant try anything out. They gave me a day pass, but they didn’t allow the use of black card benefits. I couldn’t try the massage chair or the hydro massage chair. That would have been one of the main reasons for me to get the membership. After hearing that I just left the gym. I don’t see much of a point in them handing out a one day pass and restricting the benefits. Also, the parking situation at the new Westminster location is kinda shady. After 10 PM, they don’t allow people to use the malls underground parking. Vehicles have to be parked outside and they open the gate for you to walk into the parkade in the back. Front entrance is closed at night.
Negative experience: I wish i could give 0 stars , multiple reasons - 1. Some staff are amazing but many are stupid for instance I called them and informed “hey i don’t live there any more i have moved out to an island can you help me in cancellation of my membership” and without even having discussion he started calling me bro and simply wanted to get rid of me and said ‘ ok bro you will receive an email bye ‘ just hung up the call without confirming email or even without stating what the email will be regarding! 2. This shows they don’t have any business ethics 3. They just want your money and not ready to let you cancel your subscription I don’t understand what kind of fraud is going on here 4 going to ask all my 12 friends who goes there to cancel there subscription

Negative experience: This gym is way too busy at the moment. 3 months of free gym access for teenagers means that the gym is essentially unusable for most of the summer. No matter what time you go, pretty much every machine and weightlifting space is taken. Don't go if you have to pay, you won't get your money's worth.

Positive experience: Spacious gym with high ceilings and lots of amenities. Excessively high number of cardio machines and limited area and equipment for traditional strength training. The lack of a traditional barbell, squat rack, deadlift platform, bench etc. esp. in today's times, is disappointing. But I guess that is how they keep their costs so low. Plus side is that a membership is very affordable.

Fantastic experience: Belong to a sr dragon boat team in New Westminster. Our team meets at Planet fitness in New West . Carman works with our whole team in the 30 min circuit room. He has been amazing. The work together team fitness building , has helped us understand (how to use the equipment correctly ) Meet our personal fitness goal Encourage our team mates Surpass our original goals Committing to ourselves and team But most of all the be true to our own mental and physical wellbeing! Negative experience: One of the gym members approaches me in the middle of a set to change spots in a busy gym, which just ruined my workout & because of the way he approached me. I told him to wait a few mins to finish my last 2 sets but forced me to move in the middle of my set. As a result, I will never come to the New West Planet Fitness & continue to only go to the North Vancouver location to do my workout since they are much nicer people in that gym location. I will give this a big zero rather than a 1 star review for this location specifically.

Positive experience: Customer service one time was not awesome. I’m not a member but my friend is. I was planning to work out with her and arrived at the gym 15 min before her. The reception guy made me wait for my friend to arrive even though I had already showed him the PF Black Card Guest Pass that she had sent me. Otherwise 5/5 for all the equipment and gym needs.

Positive experience: Not a bad place over all, your regular planet fitness experience. Minus couple stars tho for finding drain flies in the showers. Freaked me out a bit. There were like 5 on the curtain, and I didn't notice them till the end. Found one in my car later on too, you can guess where it came from...

I was told you will still have to pay annual fee. Like why would i pay for something, I haven’t used !!! There’s definitely no customer service.

Positive experience: Employees have been great, especially Carmine. One thing I might suggest is being more specific regarding gym being closed for things like stat holidays. EG Good Friday "Hours may differ" doesn't tell me much. Sometimes I plan my workouts in advance and I would really like to know in advance of any closures and the exact days and hours. .. This doesn't include any unanticipated situations like emergencies or unexpected service calls. Thanx

Negative experience: My wife and I were in the area and stopped in for some tanning and hydro massage. They must have double booked her room because instead of getting the proper amount of tanning time she had a man knocking on the door to get in instead.

Negative experience: Really small + crowded. Equipment is ok but not high quality. The male staff are weird and stare a lot. Rather find a real gym where you can be inspired by other members rather than gawked at by seriously out of shape people during your entire workout.

Negative experience: Your staff are so policy driven and boarder line robot it’s unbelievable actually. I pulled a muscle while working out in your gym and asked if I could use a massage chair (which I was willing to pay for) and was met with a cold hard NO. “I have to upgrade or no access.” Zero understanding of the reason I wanted access for no more than 30min! Zero understanding of me being in pain and zero assistance or help from your staff. Guess I’ll just go roll it out on a mat then.

Negative experience: This place is a joke! They do not require members to provide any proof of payment details or that the person providing payment information is an authorized account holder. I contacted the manager to inform that my banking information was used fraudulently for a membership that was not mine (police also contacted them) and I was refused a refund and instead told I could access the gym free for two months. Once I stated that was unacceptable and I wanted a refund the manager has not returned any of my calls. This place deserves 0 stars!

Fantastic experience: Just joined a few weeks ago, the best gym I’ve ever been to! The PF BLACK card membership gives you access to massage chairs, tanning beds, the best gym equipment I’ve ever seen and super clean for such a busy gym. It’s busy a lot but I can why because it such a great gym. 24 hour availability and best of all no contracts! 10/10

Positive experience: It is very well located, with a wide range of equipment, especially cardio-focused ones. If you choose the second-tier plan, you can access extra perks such as tan and massage equipment. The only reason I'm not giving them five stars is the lack of heavy-weight dumbbells and their training development service, where they definitely dropped the ball since the result was not worthwhile.

Positive experience: A good gym for beginners but not recommended for strength training. Has a good vibe all round and open 24/7. Dumbbells only go up to 60… no bars with clasps to add plates to. Squat/ bench press are all guided… meanwhile there’s tumble weeds rolling around in the 30 minute timed work out section…

Fantastic experience: Please help with PF Express 30 Minute Workout guidelines awareness. I really like this location of Planet Fitness over all. I really like the PF Express section. Combining strength training and cardiovascular exercise is a really efficient way to get in shape fast (in my opinion). I would like to share my frustration with the amount of members that come into the PF Express 30 Minute Work Out section that are not aware of the guidelines. Particularly the switch cycle. People will come in to the section, not be aware of other members using the guidelines, sit down wherever, do a few reps and then stay on the machine while on the phone. Usually on the equipment for at least 2, 3 even 4 and more switch cycles.They don't notice others following a pattern. The members I have talked to did not know there were guidelines. Very rarely am I in there without three or four people interrupting my flow. sure I can go to the next machine, but how many times should I have to do this? It is stressful to ask someone to move, then have to explain what the section is for. I have talked to the front desk several times on different occasions and they say the same thing. "Let us know and we will talk to them." This is not helpful. I don't want to interrupt my workout by standing inline to talk to a employee. Better awareness to members is on Planet Fitness management. Can an alert on the app be added as a notification? Can an email be sent out. Can better signage be added. Can a PF Express 30 Minute Workout Awareness campaign be launched which would have a staff member in the section letting members know .... something .... Please like this review

Negative experience: Place is ran by children. Fans are always broken so it's always humid and stinks. Patrons have no gym etiquette, don't wear deodorant, wipe machines down, or any consideration for anyone around them as they are entitled and clueless. Rather pay more and go somewhere where you don't have to deal with this stuff

Negative experience: Fraud, sent a request for cancellation in last dec. Still they charged me. Not even living in bc since feb. Called in again. Got an email with tons information. Very annoying process for cancellation.

Fantastic experience: Moved back to Vancouver and was referred to this gym from a friend, checked it out one morning and fell in love ! Has absolutely everything I need to get a great workout in,the front admin people were great and helpful the gym was super clean and so were the changing and washroom areas which is a big thing for me when starting a new gym they have trainers too and I did a train with instructor carmine and it was awesom ! Some people just fit their jobs so well and you can tell they enjoy and like it, carmine is one of those people, there were a few people in it too but still felt like we all had a personal trainer that cared that was great to feel and as a result i pushed myself and felt an actual workout all on alll it is now my new home base gym ! Love it, and if you haven’t yet highly recommend this gym and carmine for training needs !

Positive experience: For a corporate gym, it's pretty decent for the amount you pay. I only pay to use my local Planet Fitness, because the plan that allows you access to them all is $22 a month and that's a bit much for someone who doesn't travel and is a student. The equipment is high quality and always seems to be well maintained. And they recently started providing wifi for free at this site. Overall if your town doesn't have a good city gym Planet Fitness is a decent second choice.

Positive experience: Super hard to get a hold of them. I moved provinces and I’ve been trying to contact them for weeks and they never pick up the phone. I just tried to call three times. I need to cancel my membership and I need to figure out how to do that and I can’t do that if they don’t pick up the phone.

Negative experience: Ok gym (it's planet fitness you know what you are getting). However, I am writing this for a grievance.I understand you are closing soon on the account of holidays but did you know? You do not need to sound the alarm every five minutes? There were two instances, where, I kid you not without exaggeration, you sounded the alarm WITHIN THE SPAN OF ONE MINUTE. IT'S VERY ANNOYING

Fantastic experience: I joined this Awesome gym today after taking a tour yesterday… You just can’t beat the price for what you get! Tanning, Hydro Massage, new member orientation & free personal training program. The place is super clean, has lockers, showers & half price drinks! The best part is the wonderful staff … my experience with Cole was the best. He is So Patient & thorough with seniors! Thank You All … looking forward to my first work out

Fantastic experience: What a great gym. Clean equipment, chill gym goers, very friendly staff, awesome trainer and class. I’m very lazy so i appreciate the classes and a 30 min circuit area where it already gives me instructions on what to do. I love the red light therapy and massage chairs, espeically the hydro massage chair followed by my workouts. There’s also tanning for anyone interested. All of this for such a great price. It’s in a super convenient location with lots of parking - London drugs, food, nails salon, etc. it’s a great small mall for a few hours of self care!

Negative experience: Planet Fitness usually has the nicest staff, but not this one. I came to the US to visit my brother for 2 weeks, so he upgraded his membership to black card so he can add a guest. We went to the gym together and had no problem, now my brother is back to work after a few days of time off, I went in and they told me that I can’t get access here since the primary card holder isn’t with me. The lady manager said that their policy is clear about it, so I asked to show me the policy. The policy is vague and doesn’t really make it clear whether or not the primary card holder must be present for the guest to workout. Didn’t like how the management staff handled it and could’ve let me workout this one time I went in. Clarify the policy and be more professional. Highly recommend against joining this one here.

Negative experience: Been waiting to see when are they gonna fix the fan (more than a month and they can't fix it) in the ABS section smell very bad .... But they always send you a text to remind you to pay on time the bill

Positive experience: I'm thrilled to share my review of this gym! The cleanliness and spaciousness of the facility create a pleasant workout environment. The equipment is of high quality, ensuring an effective and enjoyable exercise session. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always eager to assist. The Black Card perk of a 10-minute massage is a delightful treat, though I must admit, it does leave me wanting more! The only slight inconvenience is the evening crowd, which can lead to some wait times for equipment. However, the ample parking spaces make up for it, providing convenience to members. Despite this minor setback, I'm genuinely happy with the gym and its overall offerings. It's a great place to achieve my fitness goals, and I look forward to continuing my workouts there!

Fantastic experience: the place is big enough you dont have to trip with any other user to get to your next machine they have plenty of equipment to do cardio and physical conditioning about the weight i cant tell much because im doing mostly cardio and core workouts. strongly recommend any new members to get the black PF membership is worth it if you like to relax in the massage or hydromassage chairs.
