Positive experience: I do like this gym! It is super spacious and always so clean and bright. Even during peak hours, I can find and rotate my workouts the way I like, and everyone I've encountered has been patient and kind, staff and customers alike. My only qualm is with the women's only room, it's pretty sad-looking, and it's super tiny, making it full all the time when it doesn't have to be. There aren't any heavier weights in there either, so I often have to drag weights from one room to the next, or skip weight training entirely and make my days a cadio-only day. It's confusing to me because there are so many other rooms that are underused and could be utilized for this space. Would love to see this space upgraded, or the women's area moved!
Positive experience: Way too busy. Needs to be 24hrs also. There's lineups for machines and free weights are scattered around the gym.
Positive experience: Female gym P.O.V. Feedback to elevate and enrich the experience for all of your members Women’s gym: This space needs more weights - cable machine - and 2 benches. Co-ed has plenty - can some be added from here ? You can revise current floor plan in the female only workout room to add new ones ( currently machines are spaced out). Suggestion - that the women’s only gym be switched out with the workout class room or cycle room. These rooms are underused by comparison. Throughout the entire gym - Add floating shelves ( for water bottles when using weight machines ) add benches/ ottomans ( to sit and take breaks eliminating those who hold up the machines and play on their phones). Add clocks for those of us who don’t use our phones and need to know the time when using the weight machines. Stickers/ Decals added to every machine with reminders about phones / selfies / idling / privacy / cleanliness. Decals for weight machines - no playing on phone / no idle symbol. Beside handheld weights add sanitizer and decal to promote use before touching the weights and to “ put weights back “ . This gym could you a lot more sanitation dispensers. Staff - Should do rounds every 30 minutes encouraging cleanliness, putting weights back, and not to get others in selfies. Add 2 front desk staff who can also watch the kids club. I’ve seen 1 staff member with up to 7 kids at a time from 8 months - 7yrs old. It’s not fair for the staff, the members and the kids. When needed they should be able to call for support from the front of house. Staff is good here, helpful. Happy to change my review if changes have been made. I hope these recommendations are reviewed and action is taken.
Negative experience: The facility is great, lots of machines and big rooms for the classes but unfortunately some people working here have no sense of business and are unprofessional. I had a great experience signing up with Steven, but Ryan was extremely pushy when pitching his PT packages and really didn’t feel honest. He went to extremes to justify why it was worth it for me to sign up for six months of sessions, even when I was looking to have control over how many sessions and when I wanted to get. The classes I took were unorganized and teachers were unprofessional: one yoga class got canceled with people waiting in the room, heard a teacher complain about early morning weekend classes and suggesting that she won’t teach them anymore because she”needs her drinks during the weekend.” Talking to unreliability; my first PT session was also canceled an hour before the session. After a 10 days trial period I decided that I’ve seen enough, I canceled and going back to a small local gym.

Positive experience: Decent parking which is why im here, commonly crowded. Unless it keeps you from using the equipment, repairs are rarely done. Wifi is completely crap (they'll say it's only when busy, but it's still worthless when the place is empty) and the cell towers here are iffy. Management seems to know but hasn't done anything about it. Honestly if they fix the above, or another gym opens to reduce the crowd here, or they somehow add gear that were constantly waiting on, it would be better. Just one change to improve things would be another star from me. Had good interactions with staff. No clue about Management. Place is ok, but after years of coming here I kind of wish it was better.
Negative experience: Please make sure the water in the pool is the right temperature and cleanliness … the water is to cloudy and old dirty, you can’t clean it with chemicals, needs fresh water, the highest temperature makes bacteria multiply and good place to grow… fresh water and proper temperature…
Fantastic experience: I just wanted to give a big shout-out to Nate at LA Fitness! He is always so friendly, welcoming, and truly goes above and beyond to keep the gym spotless. I see him working hard cleaning literally every corner of the place, from equipment to the floors, making it such a pleasant environment for all of us. His dedication doesn’t go unnoticed, and I feel he genuinely cares about making LA Fitness a great place for everyone. Negative experience: Never any parking here. Even when the gym is empty the parking is full from all the workers across the street
Negative experience: For the amount of Money you pay you have better options in the area and no hassle with cancellation charges and lineups to use equipment.

Negative experience: “I recently had a disappointing experience with the training management at this location of LA Fitness. After canceling my training membership, I was told I had 30 days to use my remaining seven sessions. However, the training manager later claimed this was incorrect, and I lost those sessions. When I expressed my frustration, he seemed indifferent and unwilling to acknowledge the staff’s lack of training. This, coupled with evident management issues—such as a broken AC in the children’s area left unfixed for months—reflects poorly on their service. Additionally, over the past three years, they constantly changed my trainer, even though I had specifically requested a female trainer from the start. Each time my trainer was changed, they would assign me a male trainer, and I would have to go through the process of requesting a female trainer again, which took additional time. This disorganization and lack of communication with clients further highlights their ongoing management issues. The trainers themselves seemed unhappy with the management, which only added to the negative atmosphere. I cannot recommend getting a trainer at this location based on my overall experience with their management.”

Negative experience: I am extremely disappointed with the service I received at LA Fitness. In March 2023, I made multiple attempts to cancel a membership that was being charged to my credit card. When I initially went to the front desk, the staff informed me that I couldn’t cancel the membership because it wasn’t under my name. I explained that it was linked to my account and being charged to my credit card. Eventually, I spoke with the manager, who assured me the membership was canceled. I left relieved, believing the issue was resolved. In May of this year, I canceled my partner's membership and added guest privileges at the Niagara Falls location. During this process, I switched credit cards. That’s when I realized my old credit card was still being charged. I brought this to the attention of my home gym in Niagara Falls, and they provided me with a contact number for Ontario membership services. I tried calling for months but had no success. Eventually, I was given a number in California. After several attempts, I finally reached someone during my break at the hospital. I explained the situation, and they offered either a 4-month credit or a 2-month refund. Despite the frustrating and poor service, I accepted the 4-month credit since I had been unknowingly paying for two memberships for over a year. I also explained that the extra membership had never been used and should have been canceled the previous year when I was in Toronto. The former member had not used the gym even once during this entire period of dispute. However, after being placed on hold for 15-20 minutes, membership services only offered me a 1-month refund, which I found insulting. This entire situation has been mishandled, especially by the Toronto location. As a result, I ultimately canceled my membership out of frustration.
Negative experience: The most incompetent staff. Be ware the personal training can’t get anyone to actually help you after they pull your money it’s like no one works there. Asked to change trainers because the one I was assigned is clueless and unprofessional. Left hanging and to add this noodle schedules a training session without being asked to then gives attitude when told to remove it! Sassy staff, who lack customer service and are a bunch of stale noodles! It’s better to workout on your own than sign up for this trashy PT.
Negative experience: No sauna, basketball or squash; just moved to this area and can't believe they don't have any of these, especially the sauna, in Toronto, disappointing...
Negative experience: Be very careful with the trainers here. When signing up I told them I had previous injuries and hadn’t worked out in a long time. I was assured they had a trainer who had experience working with injuries. She ended up being pretty incompetent and pushed me to do extreme exercises that made things worse and resulted in patellafemoral syndrome and a hamstring strain. Been in physio for over a year. It was huge mistake signing up for personal training. On top of that the sessions are extremely overpriced.
Negative experience: I signed up for a three-month membership and clearly stated at the time of sign-up that I would only need it for this period. I was informed that I could cancel anytime with a simple phone call. However, when I tried to cancel recently, I couldn’t reach anyone by phone, and I received an email asking for payment for this month, despite not using the gym at all. When I finally spoke to someone, I was told to cancel through the website, but I was still charged for the current month. Another branch later informed me that cancellations by phone aren’t allowed, and I had no choice but to pay to cancel. I believe this situation could have been handled better, and I suggest improving communication among the staff to avoid similar issues in the future. I also want to mention that, due to this experience, I don’t think I’ll be signing up at this gym again.
Negative experience: I wanted to bring up an issue I had at the gym recently. A few weeks ago, I left my things in a locker overnight because of a storm. When I came back the next morning, all my belongings were gone from the locker. I was surprised to find out that my locker had been opened without my permission, and my things were moved. I don't think that was right and wanted to share my concern.
Negative experience: The women’s only section is sad. There is not a single cable or bench and the heaviest weight stored in this section is 7.5 lbs. Staff come around daily and take out any heavier weights + benches, moving them to another section of the gym. This isn’t the 1950s, and if you are going to have a dedicated women’s section, adjust it to our current needs/usage.
Fantastic experience: i really enjoyed my work puts at this particular locations. it has great weights and cardio machine. never have to weight for a machine. but the best part of my experience started with alex giving a tour of the place. made me feel comfortable as i havent been to gym in a very long time. Positive experience: The gym has friendly staff and clean washrooms. There is a lot of good equipment for cardio and weight lifting, and the staff maintain it well. You can find almost anything you want here - even a pool. Most people here are respectful but not a lot of people are in the habit of wiping down machines, so you might want to do that before and after using anything. Down sides - there are not nearly enough dumbbells between 15-30lbs - that is the most frequently accessed weight range, so getting the exact weight for your fitness level is next to impossible. And there is a bad habit of people not returning weights to the right spots on the rack - so you have to wander up and down the rack looking for the weight you need. And it’s possible someone took it to some other part of the gym and didn’t return them when done. Every other gym we had memberships at had staff go around throughout the day returning equipment to the right spots, and gently encouraging other people to do so. The fact that the staff doesn’t do that here can make for a frustrating time at the gym. You regularly see people pacing up and down the dumbbell rack looking angry. We routinely add 20min to our time at the gym just hunting down equipment. The pool is great, but it’s terrible to use Friday to Sunday. For some reason on these days people show up at the pool and treat it like a recreational pool, taking up a lane just hanging out in the water, and making it difficult for other people to exercise. Monday - Thursday are your best swimming days.
Negative experience: My wife had a terrible experience with the kids club staff, they didn't even engage with our daughter and she could not work out. Would give zero stars if possible. We don't expect expert childcare but at least a friendly face and hello when the kids arrive at a minimum-didnt even get a smile.

Fantastic experience: Great place where you truly feel welcome, with kind, friendly people on both sides- staff and costumers. My experience is related to personal training with Hassan, who was absolutely phenomenal. High professional performance with an amazing support for his trainees, Hasan was always bringing the hardest training to a joy level. I strongly recommend this gym and particularly Hasan as a trainer, although I’ve heard that every single trainer is giving a great positive vibe followed by their experience and knowledge. One more time, I’m more than happy to have dedicated some time to spend in such an encouraging atmosphere as LA Fitness. Thank you everyone

Positive experience: LA Finess Junction - there are issues with the pool. The water is very cold and nobody at the front desk has a clear answer about the reason or when we can expect a normal temperature. There are kids, older people or people who come just for swimming/exercising, with health issues, and cold water increases the stress and the muscle tension. Please resolve this, many complain, this is not acceptable!

Negative experience: There's a personal trainer in this gym that shows no respect name DANIEL. I workout here for 5 months now and this trainer acted unprofessionally. First strike, while I'm working out, He did tapped me at my back and said that I'm making noise. Is that part of the trainers job to tap someones back? We are at the gym not at the spa! I reported to the management and he keeps bothering. Second strike, while I'm doing the battle rope, he jumped across the rope and back. Third strike yesterday, I confronted him for kicking out my own personal equipments (not from the gym equipment) When somebody kicked my personal thing is not acceptable on my part, it's disrespectful to me. I questioned him why he did it. He said that I'm out of my way, wants to use the area and told me he did'nt kicked out my things. He's a big liar. I caught him and the other members saw that he kicked out my things that's the reason why I confronted him. I reported him to the management today for the second time. Concerned members let me know that this trainer was not nice, he is arrogant and rude. BE RESPECT!
Negative experience: Overall trashy experience from poor, dangerous, inappropriate attempts to sell personal training disguised as "fitness advice" to the fact that this membership is literally impossible to cancel. No email response, no local number response, had to call the US head office where they told me that it can be cancelled only in person. Come on, shame on you. Also staff at the reception can't help with anything, like "hey, are there yoga mats in the studio upstairs?" or "what type of class is this?". Nothing.
Positive experience: Really nice gym, a little crowded but what gym is not. I wish there were more locations, I have to drive 25 minutes minimum to go to my closest one

Negative experience: This gym is not great. It is crowded ALL THE TIME. Cleanliness is so so. All I can say is hopefully they open a higher end gym or even a Goodlife in the area soon. If there was another option in this area I would take it immediately.
Positive experience: DO NOT SIGN UP FOR TRAINING WITH CRYSTAL - I signed up for the whole year of training to finally learn how to work out and get fit. I said from the beginning, i wanted to improve my posture and get rid of my belly fat. great! right? the staff also said that all these things that made be feel bad about myself that made be double down on training. during the year, crystal was great and showed me how to work out my back, arms and legs but never showed me how to condition and work out my core. when another trainer yelled out “core, core” during our training, she said “no, i want her to keep coming back” like what? you had me for the whole year and still kept my training from me to keep me coming back? it was such a turn off and i felt so taken advantage of. i will not be coming back and i hope no one uses crystal for long term training. the greed is real and they don’t care about your goals or progress. so embarrassing and i spent 3 grand to get half of what i wanted and was promised. do not get scammed by this place and their trainers. such a waste.
Negative experience: In terms of equipment, there is no enough light weights (10,12,15,17 ibs) in this gym. Sometimes it takes some 10 minutes to find the right weight or most of the times I ended up not doing the set because of the lack of weight in the gym. In terms of the atmosphere, it’s always jammed and difficult to do supersets. There are some who are always on the phone, create line ups for a machine and in general they do not know gym etiquette. I believe the gym management should have a plan addressing such issues for the sake of everybody’s satisfaction.
Fantastic experience: Staff are super friendly and helpful & the place is huge. There are a great number of bikes and treadmills, but not enough squat racks and weight machines to accommodate the number of guests that come to the large gym. Went here with my partner and it took too long for the squat racks to clear up. Otherwise, this gym is great as I saw they have a kids zone close to the entrance which makes this place family-friendly, personal trainers, classes, a pool, and a great number of machines always available for cardio.

Negative experience: Very very expensive. Like $75 annual fee + $45 monthly fee + 20 taxes. SO I HAVE TO PAY $120 every single month for a gym. WHY WHY AND WHY
Negative experience: The girls at the front desk have no sense of customer service. I asked them if I could leave my AirPods with them to charge since mine had unfortunately died and they did not allow me to leave it there, you would think that as a customer gesture one time they could do that. Other than this, the gym is always full if you go in the evening you’re basically lining up for a machine , smith machine … limited weights, and so crowded. Either you come at 5-6am or come the last 2 hours.

Negative experience: This is the worst gym I’ve ever been to. They don’t seem to have any limitation on intake. You can be queuing 3 people deep to get on a machine and forget trying to get on a bench. An hour gym session has run over 2 hours multiple times purely because you can’t get on anything. There’s no respect for others there with people leaving weights and moving weights around so you can’t find any of the plates/dumbbells you’re after. The staff just sit in their phones and have no involvement in the upkeep of the place. I could write pages on reasons to avoid this place and as soon as I can find a half decent gym to go to around here, I’ll be cancelling.
Fantastic experience: I am an instructor there. I teach yoga, zumba and aqua fit. Very spacious gym. Has pool and kids swimming lessons offered by third party. Amazing view of the surrounding.
Negative experience: I have processed a gym cancellation on February 26, 2024 in this branch and I deligently paid the outstanding amounts. The reason of my cancellation is I have a Mitral Valve Prolapse which means a leaking of the heart. My heart cannot properly manage the flow of blood coming in and out of the heart so my doctor recommended to stop going to the gym and do just minor exercises at home. I even signed a cancellation form in this branch and heard from the staff that they will process the cancellation. When I ask for a copy, they said the printer is not working and it will be sent to the email. Surprise surprise, no confirmation of the cancellation has been sent to my email. The charges keep going to March and April 2024. You know what? This only proves you do not process cancellation request even if the reason is medical condition. I liked the gym but unfortunately, 1 star for no empathy at all.
Negative experience: BEWARE!! this is one of the guys who steals inside the men’s lockers he probably is working with other guys too because of the multiple transactions and location on the credit card transactions. they pick your locks, steals your credit cards and lock your lockers back again. they’ve done this to multiple guys at the gym. management of La Fitness Junction location isn’t doing anything about it.
Negative experience: Joined about 6 weeks ago and have mixed reviews - def a couple of great classes thanks to the morning cardio guy and Zumba guy. It’s a big space and lots of cardio machines. But - The women’s workout area has very few free weights and they are mismatched and every single time someone is waiting or gives up. Why they don’t purchase a few more is beyond me. Also I keep wondering where the adults are behind the desk because it feels like there are teenagers running this place. Whenever I arrive or leave they are all just sitting around on their phones. When I first joined I was told I would have a free intro session and that it would be a workout and I would be shown how to use the machines, etc. In fact, it is a manipulative sales strategy to pressure you into signing up for personal training. I was weighed and then the trainer discussed the complexities of how very difficult it is to stay motivated and lose weight without a trainer. And that I was definitely overweight and needed to do so. I started out thinking she was actually on my side trying to help me but by the end I was almost in tears as she was relentlessly pressuring me to sign up for extremely expensive training sessions. Even after I told her I am a single mom and can’t afford it. I literally went to my car and cried. However I didn’t quit because the location works for me and I want to try some classes and swim as well and having made this decision I was not about to let this ruin it. Also, I’m determined now to prove her wrong. She basically told me that I will quit without a trainer. I will likely move on when I have time to check out other places but for now that is actually motivating me.
Negative experience: Every machine is always busy. Like a line up. They claim their facilities are better than everyone else but really it’s a bunch of extras you don’t need, like a dinky pool full of kids and some Zumba classes. Did I mention machines are regularly out of service for repairs? Sure you can go to other locations, but when will you ever do that? Once maybe? There fees are obnoxious. There is a registration fee, an annual fee and when you start you pay your first and last month’s fee like you’re renting an apartment. If you pause your membership at $10/month instead of canceling it, you still have a month prepaid. If someone is thinking of canceling and pause their membership, why would they need another month later? What a scamming money grab. Fantastic experience: Steven helped me through the membership process step by step and even went so far as to take time out of his day to give me the best deals I've ever seen a gym offer. He even worked around my busy schedule and made the membership process much easier and less of a headache. This assistance Steven provided me was one of the reasons I was willing to go to LA Fitness as my previous gym had very rude staff.
Fantastic experience: Steven was an amazing guide when we went on a trial and was very patient and informative and took time out of gym hours to explain the different deals available. Never once did he seem annoyed and was very helpful. Super easy to get a membership and amazing representative like Steven one of the reasons the gym seemed very welcoming.
Negative experience: This location has two of the worst yoga instructors I’ve ever encountered. One approaches class with an aggressive attitude, barking out poses like a drill sergeant, leaving no room to connect breath with movement. The other spends way too much time talking about the body and not enough time actually teaching. She doesn’t provide modifications and when I did modify poses she corrected me which was frustrating. Every body is different and poses need to be modified to accommodate skill level and to avoid injury. Modifications are essential to yoga. Breathing is essential to yoga. Accessibility is essential to yoga. Also men are always walking / staring into the women’s only section. I wish they would do something to make the space feel a little more comfortable.
Negative experience: I was told my Mariam that she’d follow up with me around my membership after Boxing Day which she did not. I asked the front desk to get her to follow up with me and did not hear back after multiple requests, including multiple e-mails based on the e-mail address that the front desk provided me. Increasing prices and then avoiding follow-up is bad service.
Fantastic experience: Came here on a complimentary pass to check it out. Huge gym. Lots of machines. Seems like everything was working. I used a treadmill which was upstairs. Music was playing over the speakers on low. Place was very clean. Change rooms had good sized lockers. The tour was a quick 5 min with no talk of joining full time. Parking was free which is nice. I am not a big gym guy, only having planet fitness to compare. And LA fitness is definitely a step up. The place was pretty quiet too, meaning no one was screaming and the music wasn't blasting. And guess what? It has a beautiful indoor volleyball court. Overall pretty impressive. No photos. Worth visiting in person if you need a new gym.
Negative experience: Most expensive workout if my life....credit cards stolen from a locked locker. Thieves in this gym are proficient enough to open a locked locker, take credit cards, lock it again and spend 800 at nearby stores within a 1 hour workout. That means it's not a one off theft. How is LA fitness ok with theft regularly happening?
Fantastic experience: Couldn't say enough nice things about the people who work here. Pretty good size, lots of different equipment so if you need to change something up, there's always a different machine. Huge rack of free weights. My only complaint is that gym goers leave the dumbbells all over the gym. But glad I joined.
Fantastic experience: I keep coming back to this location. Cleanliness is on point, equipment is great and the staff are accommodating especially Steven and Mariam. I highly recommend it!

Negative experience: The reason they are not fixing the basketball courts is to not have young “black” kids in the gym anymore. They want it less populated with these individuals because it causes them “problems”. I would suggest regulating memberships for those problematic individuals rather than taking away the best feature this gym offers. Also, I believe this to be discriminatory and distasteful . The manager at this gym is African American decent which makes it even more disappointing. This is not speculative. I was told by a staff member a while back and waited to make this review to protect their identity.
Fantastic experience: I go to the Sheppard and Yonge location. My favourite location among all other. Nice staffed excellent training (one of the best). I am not get happy about the offers or flexibility they offer. That’ll be my only issue with LaF.

Positive experience: Great gym, clean facility, good equipment. Traffic depends on the day/time. Some locations lack sauna and classes get canceled all the time or have very little classes.
Positive experience: Staff is extremely helpful and friendly but the gym is over crowded almost all the time. All equipments are occupied even in the non rush hour. bathrooms are a horror, no towel service now hygeine, no shower heads, direct stream of water hitting your head, takers 20 min to get the right balance of hot n cold before you can shower. brutally overpriced. music is amazing. best choice of music compared to any gym i've been to.
Positive experience: Gym is well equipped, exercise classes are challenging but beginner friendly. The pool is a little on the warm side for heavy exercise. The free "personal trainer" session when you join is not what you might expect. They do not do any actual personal training, just discuss your fitness goals and try to sell you on their personal trainers. They weigh you and calculate BMI even if you say you are not trying to lose weight. Felt very outdated, still referring to "good" and "bad" weight, although they give a disclaimer to say it isn't really good or bad. Would not recommend the free session. Otherwise good gym.
Fantastic experience: I started working out at this La Fitness location in the month of February and the staff was very welcoming and helpful. Steven helped with the process of changing gyms and is an exemplary staff member. Highly recommend this location.

Negative experience: No hate to the volleyball community but basketball was the main reason most members including myself went here. Nets been down, still hearing about THEFT, management dis-oriented. The main problem is that this is the only location in Etobicoke/North York opening a second location would disperse traffic, and less chaos.
Negative experience: ROBBED!!! debit and credit cards stolen from this location from the locker room with a lock. Beware. It seems from other reviews the exact same has happened to others. Might be happening internally. Who knows. This is VERY unsettling. Manager and staff just say "sorry" meanwhile there's criminals entering this facility. I would not use the lockers at all. Reported to police. I advise everyone to do the same and report this location
Fantastic experience: I joined right before Christmas and everything has been awesome. The staff is very friendly and the location hours is very convenient. I also love that they always have someone cleaning the machines and change room. They also have an app that makes it easy to figure out the schedule for classes. So far so good. Highly recommend if you are looking to get in shape and take your health seriously.
Positive experience: I went to this gym for about a year and a half. It gets the job done, and people are respectful towards one another. It gets busy during rush hour, so if you work remotely, I'd recommend going in for a workout after lunch or between 10 and 12.

Positive experience: It's always packed. The gym is big and clean,but I don't like that any time of the day you're still waiting for machines. I wish they would be 24/7, especially for the cost of memberships
Negative experience: I HONESTLY don't like coming to this Gym the workers at the front counter move Super racist and petty like they were trained to look out for every black person that comes in through those doors, soons you scan in their all starring at the screen and your face like it's the Bolo program and they're trying to claim the reward. Negative experience: This is the 2nd time I've ever placed a review on Google thus reflects my opinion on the upkeep and care of this gym. I've been going to this gym for 18 months and have been using a personal trainer. The absolute best thing about this gym is the trainer. What I'm commenting about are as follows: 1. water dispensing sinks: broken push buttons (2 of 3 buttons) on both sinks. 2. floor mats: have holes in them due to friction from peoples runners when doing 'presses' etc. Natural wear and tear. Replacement pieces slotted in and of course slip thus risking twisting of ankle (for those with hidden DISABILITIES (be very careful). 3. Benches to perform exercises: ripped pads such that scratch the skin on a number of the benches. 4. Scales to weigh oneself in the change room: has been broken for many months. 5. Locker handles and the plate that secures the handle warped reducing the number of lockers available. 6. Ceiling fans: COATED with dust thus circulating this dust throughout the gym. 7. Training book replacement have not been available for months. I presented all of the above notices and although the 'management' of the gym very nicely acknowledged the issue, they 'put in an order' for repairs to 'corporate' months ago thus 'it is out of their hands'. I've asked periodically and the comment has always been: the order has been placed, unfortunately there is nothing they can do. What is interesting is 2 people I've spoken with at the gym (employees of this gym; I would not mention their names in order NOT to cause them difficulties as their hands seem to be tied?) quietly said they agree and would not recommend this gym nor do they exercise at this gym. This, to me, is a telling feature. I'm a 62yo woman with disposable income. You would think they would make it enticing for clients, but it truly seems they are out to get your money vs investing in improving peoples health and wellness. But don't just listen to my comment, please make your own assessment before you sign up as its costly to go to this gym. I am looking for another gym as this one has failed my expectations entirely.
Negative experience: Yesterday, Sunday, November 12, around 9:40 and 10:20 a.m. I started using a weight machine at the LA Fitness gym located at 43 Junction Rd. A woman approached me asking for the machine. I told her I was starting but I was just going. To do 3 sets, the woman stood behind me when she saw me rest. My first set went to the front and began to tell me that she wanted the machine to speed me up, among many other words. Raising my voice, in my little English, I just told her, I'm not finished, she went to a male staff person who accompanied her to where I was continuing and began to tell me that I shouldn't use the cell phone and that it had already been more than 15 minutes. in that machine something that was a lie!! agreeing with him to the rude lady and without being able to express myself, I wrote to the staff person who spoke little English and explained how the lady had come to me in such a rude way, to which the staff man ignored my written message and continued telling me the times of the machines to which he made me feel pressured to get up from the machine but not before telling him that what he was doing is: discrimination!! This person from the staff was agreeing with the other person who had gone to lie. These types of actions should not happen. Many of us who use the facilities are going to de-stress and feel calm and relaxed, enjoy an exercise routine, not fight or fight. make anyone uncomfortable. Something very important that I want to point out is that the staff person does not have any authority to address people who want to draw attention to us. We are adults and I am an educated person. This fact made me feel frustrated and at that moment discriminated against. Please pay attention. and that this does not happen again.
Fantastic experience: I've been coming to this gym for about 20 years now. Through its ups and downs it is still one of the best in the area and a lifesaver for many. Lots of great friendships start here and it's a great place for any level of athlete to begin their journey
Fantastic experience: This gym gets busy during 6-8pm. So I usually go past 9. The gym is so neat and clean. Thumbs up to Yna who does a good job cleaning the gym. Yna is very hard working also she is very pretty!

Negative experience: Gym is pretty solid however this review is mainly about the locker room. There are signs about theft in the locker room and I thought I would be ok with my lock. Turns out, nope. All my credit cards + debit card were stolen. If you come to this gym leave any valuables in the car. There is 0 security presence at the gym. Was basically told nothing could be done. The only funny part is that my fee won't be able to be collected now because my cards are all locked......
Fantastic experience: Cleannn facility. Very spacious, very convenient!! Love that there’s an after school program that helps convenience all the gym devotees. Great staff, very friendly and knowledgeable. It’s always and honour being in the presence of Livey. Such a joy! I Love that there’s the stockyards near by and a health store right next door! Highly recommend this location !
Fantastic experience: I had a great experience here! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Liv was always ready to assist me with any questions or concerns I had, which made me feel welcomed and comfortable as a beginner at this gym. The facilities are clean and well-maintained, making each workout a pleasant experience.
Positive experience: This location is OK. I unfortunately had to stop going as it was too busy during the hours I could go. However, they have everything you need and the group classes are pretty good! The water fountains could use a good cleaning though.
Negative experience: I've been going to this location for a few months and have generally had a good experience with the staff and facilities. Mike, the manager, is very friendly and welcoming too. However, today (Sept 11, 2023) at around 6:30pm, I had an interaction with one of the personal trainers that didn't sit well with me and I'd like to make this location aware of this particular employee. I needed a bench to do hip thrusts at the smith machine and found one in an inclined position in the personal training area. Nobody was using it and usually if a personal trainer is using it for a client, there would be a paper taped to the bench saying "personal training area only". This time there was no signage and since nobody was using it, I put it into neutral position and pulled it off to the smith machines. Shortly after, a personal trainer by the name of Hibah Shoaib (I got her name from the kind staff at the front desk) came up to me and said in a curt tone "Excuse me, this bench is for the PT area and I have a client at 6:30". No problem - I apologized and said I didn't know. Hibah then said she was going to take the bench back to which I responded "Yeah, go ahead". As Hibah was pulling the bench away, I heard her muttering about me being disrespectful. I thought I misheard but I looked up to see another member with a shocked look on her face. So I asked if she heard what Hibah had just said and the member confirmed that I didn't mishear and that the whole interaction (the way Hibah approached me, her attitude and what she said to me) was totally uncalled for. I wound up asking staff at the front desk what their policy was regarding the use of the personal training area as well as the equipment there. They confirmed that it is for all members to use as long as trainers are not currently using the equipment for clients. The issue is, Hibah was not there when I saw the bench. I even had enough time to put the bench back into neutral position and then pull it away. There was no signage indicating that the bench was to be left in the PT area. If Hibah was not there, and there was no signage, and nobody was using the bench, how would I or anyone else know that the bench was there for Hibah? Even so, Hibah didn't have to be rude when she approached me. I had no qualms even during our interaction. But did she not think I would hear her muttering about me being disrespectful? Given all the above, how was I being disrespectful? One confrontation will not stop me from going to the gym but I can see how this could negatively impact someone who is just starting out or anyone with self-confidence issues. A personal trainer is supposed to positively represent the gym and uplift members. And adults know how to resolve misunderstandings without being rude or muttering under their breath. Although I see other reviews praising Hibah, this interaction personally left me disappointed that this is the type of person that LA Fitness (Junction location) employs to represent their team. Maybe she had a bad day and maybe she is good at her job but whatever led her to speak to me in such a brazen manner was entirely unprofessional and unnecessary. Do better.
Fantastic experience: I signed up with Alex, last month for a membership and he explained every detail of the contract easy to understand. He had awesome customer service skills and good personality. Am glad I signed up to this location because of this guy can't wait to bring him my friends and family Thanks Alex.
