Fantastic experience: Jasmine was so genuine. She heard what I needed, she listened and I felt like we had an awesome connection. She is encouraging and she is what/who inspired me to sign up. It has been a few weeks now since I have joined True Conditioning. I have to say that I am officially hooked. I have met all of the instructors and each and of them brings something unique and special to their classes. I highly recommend this fitness studio.

Fantastic experience: True Conditioning and the team are fabulous. I have always felt encouraged, challenged and supported in all classes, no matter my level. I have grown stronger and more confident. I especially love the Love to lift program and Sarah has been an amazing coach. She is guiding us on how to correctly lift, focusing on technique while also making it fun and challenging. sarah is knowledgeable, friendly and supportive of all participants. I would recommend the studio to anyone wanting to both get their body moving (and it will!!) and be part of an inclusive and supportive community.

Fantastic experience: Amazing instructors who instantly make you feel welcome, comfortable, and at home. After years of not working out I took a chance to reach out to True Conditioning after multiple recommendations from friends. I have previously found group classes and gyms intimidating and True Conditioning completely changed this! The instructors offer lots of different ways to adapt the exercises so you are working at the level you need- in any given class you can see how people differentiate based on their experience/comfort level. Every instructor is great and Jess’ classes will have you laughing while you work. It is the first time I have ever looked forward to working out and I love how fun every workout is. Couldn’t recommend True Conditioning enough!

Fantastic experience: I Love working with my personal trainer Esther. She is the kindest person who understands what my body can do and pushes me to my max capabilities. She seems to know exactly what I need for each workout and reminds me that our bodies can do hard things and I feel so much better for it. I highly recommend Esther as a PT and class instructor at the best gym/studio (True Conditioning) in town (Steveston Village) Esther is the best coach

Fantastic experience: I've been going to True Conditioning for their classes for a month now, and I highly recommend them, whether you are just getting in shape or whether you are a long-time exercise buff! I'm a runner, but I felt it was time to start paying attention to my strength conditioning, and after only a month of classes (3-4 week), I can already see and feel my all-over strength improving. The first month discounted deal gives you a chance to try it out, and the month-to-month membership gives you flexibility. With both early morning and evening classes, I can always find something that suits my schedule. And all the instructors are supportive and very patient with new-comers, as we learn the technique. Definitely recommend True Conditioning!

Fantastic experience: I did a TRX Strong class with two friends and it was so good. Jess is an awesome instructor - really high energy and did a great job to explain good form! A lot of awesome variety in the class, will definitely come back! If I lived in Steveston I would definitely be a regular.

Fantastic experience: Finally got to give True Conditioning (and TRX) a try and really enjoyed it! My fitness has been neglected over the past few years and yet I still found the classes survive-able (and more importantly, fun!!) which is really encouraging to keep going! Instructors are awesome and the facility is great. Hoping to get into a regular routine here!

Fantastic experience: It's been more than a year since I joined TC and I can't be happier with my decision. As many women do, I joined the gym with the sole purpose of doing something to finally lose all the extra weight I gained during my pregnancy. As time passed, my goal has changed. At True Conditioning I began to see myself differently.. I began to see all that I can achieve with effort and discipline. I learned that I am a determined women, focus, self motivated and strong. Strong! What a word! I never thought I was that strong! I love being in an environment were everybody is welcomed to discover their potential. No matter your age or fitness level, everybody can do this. All trainers are awesome, they will always have the right words of encouragement to help you push your limits. Fantastic experience: I signed up for nutrition coaching from Sophie with the goal of losing a few pounds. I could not be happier! In a little over two months I have lost 11 pounds. The tips and knowledge gained made it easy to develop healthy habits and make healthy choices. Nothing felt restrictive, I can still enjoy a pizza night or have a burger, but now I know what to do next to maintain that healthy diet. It was easy to create healthy habits based on Sophie's advice, and her support and feedback along the way kept motivation levels high!

Fantastic experience: Where do I start, this gym is what I think about when I think of the perfect gym. The vibe is so amazing! It quickly moved to the awesome energy and knowledge that you get from the trainers here, they are eager to help and will to take time with you. Also they understand what you are striving for and they WILL get you there and further, while having fun. I love the diverse workout combinations. I am a very shy person but here I felt so comfortable!! Also, Tara was amazing!!! She explained so well and so patience teaching and guiding me with my workouts! All of them are so good!!

Fantastic experience: I joined the Transformation Challenge at True Conditioning in January 2021 to get back into working out and eating healthy. My goal is to loose some weight, gain some muscles and enjoy living a healthier lifestyle. The studio is very spacious, clean and welcoming. My trainer, Pilar has been amazingly supportive, knowledgeable and makes working out enjoyable. I believe going to True Conditioning has definitely made an incredibly positive impact to my life.

Fantastic experience: The professional trainers at True Conditioning completely changed the way I viewed strength training, and in doing so, completely improved my overall fitness. I have been working with them for over 5 years and through it all I've gained everyday strength, better balance, much improved core stability and better posture, and I've just been moving better, period. I've always been ok with my cardio, but the Trainers at True Conditioning helped me understand the importance of strength and mobility as I approach 50. On top of it all, the community in True Conditioning is the most fun and supportive bunch! I can't say enough good things about this studio. I encourage anyone to try them out and see for themselves how positively different True Conditioning are from most gyms!

Fantastic experience: Though I started working out only a few weeks ago, I am incredibly impressed with True Conditioning’s programs and staff. The personal trainer I work with (Katrina) is very knowledgeable, kind and caring. She adapts our workouts to my unique disability, while still holding me accountable to the highest standards. I feel very fortunate to have found this place and I recommend it whole heartedly!

Fantastic experience: I began training with Sophie in July 2019 with only one goal in mind: to strengthen my knees and core. I have gained that and more. In addition to being a motivating, positive, and caring personal trainer, Sophie has also provided me with nutrition counselling and she has motivated me to change my diet. Over the past 14 months I have dropped almost 100 pounds (!!!), built up my strength to the point where I can lift 220 lbs, and have a very noticeable supply of newfound energy. Now instead of napping on the couch after work, I go to the gym. Who would’ve guessed that? Certainly not me. Sophie and her team of personal trainers share her outlook on positively helping people to improve their level of fitness. Working with Sophie as my personal trainer is one of the best decisions I have ever made. If you’re contemplating joining True Conditioning my advice is to jump in with both feet. That’s what I did and I don’t regret it for a moment.

Fantastic experience: True Conditioning goes beyond just fitness. All the trainers, clients, and dog pals are extremely kind and positive. Group classes are a blast! Everybody is cheering each other on, making jokes, and having a great time while we sweat it out! Over the years, True Conditioning has produced a warm and genuine sense of community. I've met some awesome people, and the positive energy inspires me to be a better person to myself and others everyday. It is truly much more than a fitness centre! I feel healthy and happy inside and out because of True Conditioning and all the trainers.

Fantastic experience: My wife had been going to True Conditioning for a few years and “suggested” I give it a try and go in for a free consultation. I had never been an exercise or gym person but knew I had to do something for my health, so I figured going for a consult wouldn’t kill me. During the consult session, Sophie assessed what my current exercise and nutrition was like and what my fitness goals were, while she demonstrated some exercises both in and out of the TRX....and then had me try them too. Maybe it was the warm and inviting feeling coming from everybody at TC, Sophie’s motivating and positive attitude, or her bulldog Winston but I decided to take the plunge and try TC out. To get a good foundation using the TRX and weights, I started with some personal training sessions, which I highly recommend if you’re new to this training system. After a few sessions, Sophie suggested I try some classes but I was reluctant to go. However, with her positive encouragement to “just try 1 class and see what happens”, she helped me get past what I thought I couldn’t do (but she knew I COULD do all along), and I went to my 1st class...and I haven’t stopped going to them ever since. I can honestly say after just a few weeks at TC, I noticed I felt better both physically and mentally, stronger and even started to lose some weight. I have done personal training and classes with all the TC trainers and every one of them is awesome. Their focus is doing whatever it takes to help YOU reach your fitness goals. No matter who you work with at TC, you’re in great hands. Since the pandemic started, Sophie and the entire TC team have done an incredible job of continuously pivoting to rapidly adapt to changing conditions/restrictions including online classes, renting out equipment, sanitizing equipment before and after each client training session and group classes, very small class sizes and individual workout spaces for in studio classes, Covid screening and temperature checks before classes, hand sanitizers throughout the studio space and wearing masks in studio. The safety and continued well being of each TC member is evident everywhere at True Conditioning. True Conditioning has become a home away from home for our family as our school aged kids also train there-and they love it just as much as my wife and I do ! TC is so much more than just a gym- it's a caring community of like minded people who want to improve their overall health and well being, and have some fun and enjoy some laughs while sweating away doing that. Deciding to join True Conditioning is one of the best choices you can make to invest in yourself. I would highly encourage anyone thinking of trying True Conditioning to Just Do It- your body and mind will thank you for it.

Fantastic experience: From the moment I stepped foot into True Conditioning it felt different than other gyms I’ve been too. It is more Welcoming! I’m not sure if it’s all the yellow but in the past I’ve felt intimidated or there was a clique feeling, this isn’t the case here. There are so many amazing trainers and a great variety of classes and before you start they even give you a consultation to find out out what you want or need. Overall so far so good!

Fantastic experience: Because of previous injuries, I became wary of exercise and was never regularly active. However, I considered myself to be quite weak, and wanted to build strength after learning that “being thin” does not necessarily mean “being healthy.” As a beginner and young female, I am so happy to have found a team that truly empowers women. True Conditioning has the environment that many look for - a zero judgement and 100% fun and motivating studio. Just a month of classes has already left me feeling stronger and more confident in myself, thanks to the amazing trainers! Fantastic experience: I have been seeing Natalia Rabin for about seven months now for issues related to my lower back, hips and hamstrings. Through Natalia’s knowledgeable guidance and gentle visual cues in her Pilates instructions, I have gained so much understanding of how to activate various muscles in my body in order to truly utilize my core strength. Although I have been an exercise enthusiast for many years, there were many imbalances that I did not realize I had and Natalia was able to help me understand and correct these. I believe that Natalia and her knowledge is invaluable to anyone who wants to continue being active at any age! I will definitely be continuing with Natalia to help me meet my goals.

Fantastic experience: I started attending True Conditioning since the beginning of this year and I absolutely love it! I wish I had discovered it sooner! Using the TRX band is so much fun and it gives me a great workout! It has also helped me tone and strengthen my muscles (which I really lacked before coming!). Best of all, besides a good sweaty workout…TC offers a community where I’ve met some really nice people and we’re all encouraging and supporting each other. The instructors are so wonderful. I especially love Jess and Jasmin! They are fun and down to earth and push me to my potential! Fantastic experience: Sophie Manfredi and her team at True Conditioning have done a great job since re-opening to ensure a safe workout environment. By reducing class sizes, assigning designated workout spaces for each participant, modifying workouts to limit movement within the gym, maintaining good ventilation, and ensuring that all equipment and mats are disinfected after each class, the TC team is definitely doing their part to look after the health and safety both of clients and staff. Fantastic experience: I am a “mature” client at this gym and everyone of the trainers are very supportive and positive. I always feel comfortable here even if I am still not able to do all the exercises. They make me feel included and I am very happy with all the COVID-19 safety precautions they have put in place. Fantastic experience: I joined True Conditioning 4 months ago and I have not looked back. I signed up initially for the Transformation Challenge. Through individual nutritional counselling with Sophie plus the group classes I managed to drop inches and lose weight within 8 weeks. From there I was hooked!! With classes such as Strong, Sweat, Endurance, Power I am constantly challenged. The trainers are an exceptional group! Seeing how fit they are is inspiring and motivating which has me pushing myself outside my comfort zone and coming back for more. Plus they are a lovely, caring group who have created an awesome community. Lastly.....OMG.... is the new space. It is bright and spacious with all the gear needed to get fit and strong....

Fantastic experience: True Conditioning is an amazing studio - friendly, caring trainers and each class is very well programmed to offer functional fitness that is varied and accessible to meet you wherever you're at. I've been to a ton of different studios from Crossfit gyms to bootcamp-type studios and I have to say True Conditioning is a stand out place. The trainers are welcoming, the classes are always varied so you don't feel bored ever and can quickly see progress in your fitness journey. Love going here and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to train, no matter what level of fitness they are at. The trainers here are great at challenging you in a supportive environment and always offer modifications to make things accessible to all. The programming is fantastic and well thought out to give you a full body work out that leaves you feeling energized and with actual results.

Fantastic experience: True Conditioning is a community of supportive, real people that genuinely encourage everyone of every shape, size and fitness level - it is truly a judgment free zone. I know people question if personal training is really worth it. My answer - absolutely! Karina is fantastic - The motivation and education make it easier to get started, and stick to it. True Conditioning isn't about a quick fix but a support system for a lifestyle change.

Fantastic experience: Before I started going to True Conditioning, I was only going for walks with my pup. I had zero physical activity going on. I found out about True Conditioning from a friend who goes there and when she told me about it, I figured I would give it a try! As soon as I walked through the door, I instantly felt like this was going to be a fun place to be. The trainers that work there are SO friendly, VERY knowledgeable and each one of them bring their own little spice to the game. My results were incredible!! I could feel myself getting stronger and stronger after each class I went to. I was and still am seeing improvements. I was going every day for about a month and all I wanted was to be apart of such a stellar team and to be a trainer myself. So I enrolled myself into schooling to become a personal trainer. All because of going to TC. Because being there never felt more like home to me. Highly highly recommend going there! The whole community, participants and trainers, make up one big happy family. And there is always room for more!!

Fantastic experience: The best place to workout. The trainers are so kind and well informed about the latest updates in fitness and nutrition, and the community at the gym is so welcoming. Fantastic experience: I started personal training at True Conditioning at the end of October with Eden and I am loving it. I go on Monday afternoon which has totally changed my outlook on Mondays to be very positive because of how I feel after my training. My daughter and I then joined the Challenge in January and are still on it with one week to go. It has also been a totally fun and enlightening experience. The weekly information that is sent out regarding, diet, sleep, water intake, stress, nutrition and of course exercise is very interesting and totally informative. In addition I started in January to attend classes which I really enjoy. The instructors are very knowledgeable and and encouraging which makes the class a fun experience even when your muscles are begging you to stop. I feel great and will continue to go to the classes and my personal training. Great job True Conditioning!!

Fantastic experience: I did my first TRX class today with Jess and had such a blast! It was the perfect Saturday morning sweat session to jumpstart my weekend. Jess was thorough in explaining and demonstrating movements for newcomers and made me feel very welcomed. The TRX strong class is a functional full body workout that got all my muscles fired up. I left feeling uplifted and rejuvenated, and got a much needed dose of motivation. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a TRX class - I will be returning whenever I can. Regarding COVID protocols, the True Conditioning studio was very clean and we had our own exercising pods/ squares. I felt comfortable working out in the environment. What a gem in Steveston that I wish I had discovered sooner!

Fantastic experience: The Fall Transformation Challenge has been a truly amazing experience. I started the challenge around 2 and a half months postpartum after my second baby. I could not shake off the extra weight that I’ve put on since my first baby and therefore have been very uncomfortable in the clothes that I’ve been wearing. I felt like I was in a downward spiral and losing control of myself. I made a call to Sophie and she had suggested I sign up for the Challenge to help regain some control over my body. Sophie paired me up with Pilar for this challenge and boy did she make me work for it! For 8 weeks I would go to the gym 3 times a week and learned how to meal prep and eat for my body type and activity level. I was mindful of what I was putting into my body and I was able to make smart choices on vacation and during the holiday season while also enjoying myself. I lost 12 lbs during the challenge and my biggest achievement was being able to pull up that pair of skinny jeans straight from the dryer without having to do the wiggle dance! For those of you who are thinking about signing up for the next challenge...JUST DO IT! You will not be alone in this challenge because you will be surrounded by supportive coaches and you can always lean on your fellow challengers for support. I promise, you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience: True conditioning has an environment like no other. Their new studio is large, bright, airy and beautiful! The trainers are all so warm and welcoming and encourage everyone at any level. I have worked with Pilar as a personal trainer for a few years and couldn’t ask for more. She pushes and challenges me to work hard and reach my personal best and is such an inspiration herself! Her warmth, encouragement and wonderful sense of humour keep me going even when I feel like I’ve given it all! I would recommend the classes or training to ANY level of fitness- they truly make it work for you!

Fantastic experience: My wife gave me a set of personal training sessions for HER birthday. I had not been in a gym since high school and I spent most of my free time in front of a TV. The first few sessions were very rough as I could hardly do anything without being totally out of breath. Sophie was very patient with me and made sure I was always doing things correctly. I started with personal training once per week. After a few months I graduated to twice per week. The next thing I knew, I was also doing classes and couldn't believe I could keep up. I now like feeling sore and I miss the gym if I skip a day or two. I've had classes and personal training with every instructor in the gym and recommend them all. I've even tried yoga a few times and some maintenance physiotherapy. There is a great community at True Conditioning and I look forward to sweating with my classmates. My goals for the gym have always be vague, like get healthier or survive the zombie apocalypse. But I have seen results in my weight, general fitness, and in the weight room. I'll even admit to becoming a bit competitive. I strongly suggest giving True Conditioning a try, even if you have never been to the gym like me. It has changed my life to the point that even my Jeep GPS has started suggesting that I go to the gym.

Fantastic experience: As a busy mom, finding time for exercise was always the last thing on my very long to-do list....until I found True Conditioning. I started with a one month intro promo and found that I could easily find class times that fit my schedule. Classes are fun and fast paced. The trainers are knowledgeable and encouraging. I love that I am gently pushed to challenge my perceived limitations and I feel empowered by my success. Classes are varied and new exercises or class formats are regularly added to keep it fresh and demanding without being intimidating. In addition to working out with a great group of people, True Conditioning also offers nutrition coaching. This has allowed me to further achieve my goals - to reduce my body fat, increase my lean muscle mass, improve my energy and achieve my best fitness level in two decades.

Fantastic experience: Signing up with Tara is one of the best decisions I've ever made. Prior to meeting her, I was never motivated to go to the gym, but Tara has changed all that. She genuinely cares about her clients and is incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating. Our sessions together are always really tough, but Tara keeps me encouraged and motivated to the point where I find myself looking forward to each session. Her easy going personality makes her a lot of fun and easy to get along with, which makes our sessions even better. What’s also great is that she’s always mixing things up so it’s never the same workout week after week. Who would’ve thought working out could be so much fun? I would highly recommend Tara to anyone looking for a great personal trainer. Not only will she help you reach your goals and build your confidence, she’ll get you motivated towards a healthier lifestyle.

Fantastic experience: My experience at True Conditioning has been inspiring. Participating in personal training has made me stronger and more confident. In addition to losing 2.5% body fat and 9.5 inches over the course of 8 weeks, It has helped me to love my body for what it can do. In the training sessions, Sophie pushed me in ways I would never push myself -- she just believed in me and knew I could do more than I thought I could. I would recommend personal training at True Conditioning to anyone who wants to take care of their body, anyone who wants to be stronger and feel good, or anyone who loves or wants to love exercise.

Fantastic experience: Best Gym!! After I had my Daughter I was nervous to go to a gym. I was unsure of myself and my new body. True Conditioning was so understanding, motivating and knowledgeable. They all greeted me with the biggest smiles and made me feel comfortable instantly. All the trainers are so sweet. I look forward to going to the gym and seeing everyone. Fantastic experience: My family and I joined True Conditioning (TC) for 9 months. We have enjoyed all the varieties of TRX classes that they offer. This is a full body workout gym which helps build core strength and cardio. We are grateful to the trainers who are attentive to our form and encourage us to just try a little harder. We like TC because their classes challenge us. We highly recommend this gem of a gym!
