Fantastic experience: Our girls soccer team had several training session in the off-season and Dean was excellent with them. Great workouts to get them ready. As tires as they were after each session, they kept coming back for more!

Fantastic experience: Platoon FX is not a foof gym. You will get strong. Our trainer, Dean customizes a training routine for our specific goals. Their motto "we don't use machine, we build them" pretty much tells the story. All of the trainers are encouraging and truly want to see you succeed with your goals. My attitude when I walk in the doors is there is no limit - because I have exceeded my strength goals. The gym is located in the NW off of McKnight near the airport, which is convenient for us. Fantastic experience: Started working out four weeks ago. Haven’t been to a gym in 15 years. I go three times a week, when I arrive the owner has a work our plan ready to go I can follow or do my own thing. Machines are well kept, facility is cleaned often, members are super nice and will help explain how things work if you are stuck or have questions. Ample parking Clean bathrooms Showers available Pet friendly if you tie them up Kid friendly if you have control of them Clean water station Ample free weights and machines Nice massage therapy next door and gym members get 20% off. If you are new to the gym or working out or a seasoned gym enthusiast, this is highly recommended! Also ladies you will not find any pig guys like many many stream gyms! Lastly the owner is charitable towards local charities!

Fantastic experience: Dean hosted my atom hockey team (9-10 year olds) for some off ice training and the results were amazing. He had the kids pushing their limits and they were able to continually exceeded my expectations. His team training format kept the players moving and they had a great time. Would highly recommend Platoon FX Fitness for team training and team building events.

Fantastic experience: Every day feels energetic here! Platoon Fitness is a great gym with a nice layout and offers classes that makes getting fit feel fun! Dean, Lance, Ashley and Josh are highly knowledgeable and enthusiastic trainers who are determined in helping you reach your goals. I lost 17Ibs my first month. I have more of an understanding of my body, and best of all I can fit my suites for the upcoming wedding season. Yeah buddy!!!!

Fantastic experience: Awesome staff, awesome atmosphere. If you want results and you are serious about fitness, this is the place to go.

Positive experience: Purchased a Groupon for this place and managed to get there once and that was because I just showed up (Groupon requires that you book your classes ahead of time). No one ever answers the phone and super difficult to get information. Workout was good and everyone was really positive and welcoming. Seems like everyone knew each other. Overall intimidating for the average person if you go without a buddy. I'd say it's more for the type of people who work out 5+ times a week.

Fantastic experience: Platoon fitness and I have a love hate relationship. Dean the owner knows how to push me to the limit the grind is hard but well worth it. It's something I couldn't have done without him and the result are amazing. He has been helping me with my rehab from an accident as well as some one on one boxing training. Anyone who hasn't tried this gym needs to get over there asap

Fantastic experience: Before coming to Platoon Fx, I was really more of a pancake and waffle kinda girl. Sure I went to the run of the mill gym as well but was never able be on my A game. I feared I would have to give up my love for breakfast pasteries. I was torn. But then I found Platoon and more importantly, Dean Livingston. He really helped me amp up my fitness regime to a level I thought I'd never reach. He is friendly, attentive, has a vast knowledge of every type of workout and is more than supportive of my breakfast obsession. Not only that, but he has also helped me through my back injuries when I thought I was finished. I highly recommend Platoon Fx to anyone who is looking to get out of their comfort zone and bring up their phsyical abilites to a level you'd never thought you'd reach. Dean might even share a pancake or 2 with you because he's that awesome :)

Starting at a new gym can be hard and intimidating, Dean and the rest of his staff makes it super easy and comfortable. They are exceptionally knowledgeable and easy to talk to. I have worked out with Dean Linvingston and his staff for over a year and I have found that they are consistently there for their members, even when the client has a set back in their routine, Platoon will be there for them when they're ready to get back at it. When me and my girlfriend talk about moving to Victoria, not being able to workout with Dean is one of the reasons to stay in Calgary.

The people here are truly a family, and will challenge and encourage you - may not be something you think you're looking for from a gym, but once you start, you'll be hooked! Everyone at this gym is friendly and welcoming. Everyone supports everyone, which is rare especially in a gym atmosphere. I have been to more than a few gyms and they are all the same. When I walked into Platoon FX I was extremely nervous. The class was intense and something I had never done before. The people I work out with have become close friends that encourage you to dig deeper on days you just aren't feeling it.
